Ristorante Paradiso in Magdeburg

We had lunch there today. The food was okay, but fresh whipped cream for dessert would have been much more flavorful than the warm, canned cream. The cappuccino also left much to be desired, quite literally, as I've never had so little cappuccino in my cup. Unfortunately, it wasn't just the quantity that was lacking, but also the quality. The foam was mediocre, and the whole drink barely tasted like coffee. The latte macchiato was adequate in quantity, but similarly lacked any real coffee flavor. As an Italian restaurant, they shouldn't skimp on a high-quality coffee machine.

The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and customer-oriented. Whether you come alone or in a group, you're sure to get a table. Despite the large number of guests, the wait times are very short. The server only appears briefly when glasses or plates are empty.

"Carpaccio" has nothing to do with carpaccio, not even real cheese... if you can't do it, you shouldn't offer it on the menu. Not for connoisseurs. Tortellini is fine. The ambiance is pleasant. Not really.

Clean place, but that was about it. The pizza was still raw and tasted like it came from a kebab shop, and the bruschetta was carelessly topped with feta cheese that tasted of nothing. Prices were far too high for the quality. The "cappuccino with a shot of chocolate" was a simple cappuccino with a chocolate bar on the side... The service was unmotivated and barely approachable, even though we were almost the only customers. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant advertises itself as "Italian," but the menu also includes burgers and schnitzel—which is a bit confusing. The bruschetta was disappointing: bland and lacking in flavor. The pizza was also disappointing, as the dough was raw and very greasy. We found the prices disproportionately high for a very small portion of coffee. The service was also problematic: despite the restaurant being empty, we had to wait a long time for our food and weren't actively served for drinks. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't a coherent experience, both in terms of taste and organization.

I come from Göttingen and am on holiday in beautiful Magdeburg and found the Italian restaurant by chance. I was impressed by the attentive service; that alone is worth a visit. Peter Grawe Bovenden.

We ate there today. And unfortunately, we were disappointed. The menu said Schweppes Ginger Ale, but we were served a cheaper variety. So, it was a scam.

2 stars across the board. We were there last Saturday and sat outside. There were no decorations on the tables, which is fine for me because you always have to expect wind, etc. However, it doesn't look that great and seems rather unloving. The food wasn't particularly good. The garlic soup as a starter was far too salty, even though I usually eat well-seasoned food. We sent it back and received a "new" one a short time later. It seemed as if they had just added a little cream to the same cup and sent it back to us after briefly heating it in the microwave. This is supported by the fact that the croutons were soggy the second time around, and one of the soups was missing the egg yolk I had eaten before. That definitely shouldn't have been the case. For my main course, I had the meat skewer with beef fillet, pork fillet, chicken, rosemary potatoes, vegetables, and cream sauce. The meat was consistently grilled too long and therefore dry. The potatoes were great, but I couldn't eat the vegetables because they had a strong anise aftertaste and were too bitter for me. The service was disappointing. We weren't shown to a table, but were simply told to sit down. That's fine with me. We weren't offered any cushions; we only noticed there were some after another table left. It's a shame. However, the waiter came quickly and brought us our cards. Any orders were handed to the front of the table so we could hand them over ourselves. I only experience that when it's very crowded. But that definitely wasn't the case here. The food and drink thing really shouldn't have happened like that. We were rarely asked if we wanted anything else, even though we ordered every time someone came. There was no announcement of a last round either; after 9 p.m., no one came, not even to take the money. When someone finally arrived at around 9:45 p.m., we couldn't order anything else. We wanted to pay separately and then come inside. Service was really bad, the price – at least for the meat skewer – was quite high, but the restrooms were super clean. Probably won't be returning.

It's definitely worth going back to Paradiso. There was a time when the food wasn't tasty at all. But now it's 5 stars for the food, service, and ambiance. We sat outside, and it was simply lovely.

Feels like a (financially) optimized restaurant experience. We used to come here quite often when our children were little and we quite enjoyed it then. Yes it was a bit more run down back then and the renovations have really made it look great, but the food was just a disappointment. At first I just wanted to give three stars but that wouldn't be fair. The thing is, the food was prepared very well, it just felt like they are taking a lot of short cuts and the German side of the food was definitely better than the Italian. The potatoes were perfect and the meat was on point. The pizza on the other hand was very uninspired. Very thick dough, probably a pan pizza. the same for the lasagna - just some pasta sheets tossed in a meat sauce with lots of cheese on top. My daughter said it tasted just like the frozen lasagna you buy in cardboard boxes and sadly I have to agree. And yes, I had to try the Espresso. Every time I get the up selling "doppio" question my heart sinks because I have never been asked that question and then actually received an espresso. Same here, it's basically a strong coffee like Grandma would make. Back to the German dishes: yes, they were prepared very well, but if you cook the mushrooms perfectly why throw them in a sauce that tastes like any average instant mushroom sauce? (Maggi?) That's just disappointing. But the outdoor seating is nice, it is rather quiet and a relaxed dining experience. A decent German restaurant but don't expect good Italian food.

I rate the restaurant 3 stars. The hygiene and cleanliness are absolutely praiseworthy, especially the restrooms. Many other restaurants could learn from how this should be done – absolutely TOP! The staff, on the other hand, should be a bit friendlier and ask more often if I need anything else – that would also increase sales! The wheat beer glass I ordered wasn't even filled to the brim; I've never been served such a "little" glass before. Likewise, all the portions are somewhat "small." The side salad was so small that I had to order a second one; I've never had one so small anywhere else before. Everything tasted good, although I'd say the pasta dishes are more of a strength of this restaurant than the pizza, which has room for improvement. The ice cream flavors I ordered for dessert look different than the menu; again, everything was a bit "small." The price would be reasonable if care had been taken to ensure that glasses were filled to the brim and that portions were reasonable. The cappuccino was excellent, exactly as it should be; everything was just right.

We ate in Paradiso today with my family and my children. The food was good and the waitress was really nice with us and the children. We were very happy. Thank you for the lovely evening meal in this restaurant.

Hello, I was in this restaurant 3 days early. The food was really great and the waitress was a friendly woman who just laughed. She comes from Albania. I think she said Albania. All the staff were perfect and nice, there were 6 people. Thank you very much.

P.S. ... The spontaneous visit to PARADISO on July 6, 2025, was a fabulous decision. The service was impeccable, the selected dishes were fantastic, exceptionally tasty, ... just to "SPEAK OUT"!

Being kicked out 20 minutes before closing time with the words "we're going home now" is unacceptable. A generous tip for a mediocre meal. Not recommended.

The menu offers a good selection of meat, pizza, pasta, and much more. Prices are average, and service is pleasant and customer-oriented.

So, I've slept on my visit to Paradiso for several nights now and I still want to write a review because I'm actually disappointed. I've known this restaurant for a long time; my grandmother used to live nearby, so we went there often, and I remember it as a really good restaurant. It's classified as Italian. The dishes don't have much to do with Italian cuisine. Later on, I'll tell you what I ate and how we liked the meal. For starters, we had bruschetta, and everyone knows that bruschetta should have Parmesan cheese. But that wasn't the case. There was a cube of feta cheese on top, along with balsamic vinegar, which also has no place on bruschetta. The pizza I ate was made from pre-made dough. It's not an Italian pizza. This pizza should also have Parmesan cheese on it, but it had four slices of mozzarella, three leaves of basil, and four leaves of arugula. My daughter's meal consisted of king prawns, which also had the intestines in them. We had to take them out too; we had to cut off the tails. The fried potatoes weren't really fried potatoes. They were halved potatoes, but there were also slices; it was a mishmash of everything. The artichokes were so hard I felt like we were chewing on raw vegetables. The Bolognese, which tasted strongly of basil and nothing else, didn't go down either. And even though the restaurant was quiet, we had to wait a very long time for our food. The food was lacking in love; we won't be coming back.

The pizza is really delicious. But it's not classic Italian. More like from the good kebab man. But whatever, it was really tasty. However, I ordered a large one (30cm) and got a small one (26cm).

Sind schon viele Jahre begeisterte Besucher. Leider wird das Essen immer schlechter. Gestern ,bei schönstem Wetter, draussen sitzen nicht möglich. Drinnen, schlechte Luft, durch die Wärme draussen. Das Essen ist woanders, als TK schmackhafter. Das was ich hatte ohne Lack und Geschmack. Werde wohl leider nicht mehr hin fahren.

The service staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Unfortunately, the food was not convincing. The Cabonara was a cream sauce, which is not possible. The risotto made from long grain rice… Unfortunately not recommended.

This has little to do with an Italian restaurant, the casserole was okay, the salad too... But the pizzas are ready-made bases on which something is randomly thrown on (not necessarily what is on the menu) The ice cream was downright bad, crystallized and other pieces were syrupy, i.e. old, had been in the freezer for far too long. When I said it wasn't tasty the waitress was offended and walked away.

It's a bit cheeky to charge €18 for a small pizza with salami and ham, I would have gotten the same quality for half the price in a kebab shop, sorry never again. It's a shame you can't give 0 stars

I had dinner at the restaurant in the evening with a group of 8 people. In my opinion it is insulting to the Italian food culture to call this restaurant Italian cuisine. A pizza with a diameter of around 24 cm which costs around 12 euros and was definitely not homemade took 1 hour and 20 minutes. There was similar feedback on the other dishes. The restaurant was approximately 30% full at the time. The service was mediocre and the food was delivered every 6-7 minutes... I would consider leaving my money here. Then it's better to cook yourself. 😉

We were invited to dinner at Paradiso yesterday. The ambience is very nice and appealing. The service was very good and the staff was very nice. Talking about the food it was very tasty. Gladly again!

A very nice restaurant with very nice service. The menu contains many different dishes. Our food was delicious and sufficient.

We were there today with 19 people. The fries were simply forgotten in my meal. Later I ordered an iced chocolate. The waitress must have misunderstood and brought me a scoop of chocolate ice cream. I then corrected it again, she still didn't seem to understand it properly and I even showed it to her on the map. Finally I got an iced chocolate which only consisted of drinking chocolate and cream without an ice cream scoop. Nevertheless, the full price for an iced chocolate was still on the bill. Apparently the waitress there is too stupid to serve the things on the menu like that. Unfortunately I wasn't the one who paid the bill otherwise I would have mentioned it again and not paid it like that!

Einen guten Italiener stelle ich mir anders vor! Wenn Pizza angeboten wird, dann sollte es gerade hier eine halbwegs gute Pizza sein. Doch diese Pizzen ähneln eher einem Flammkuchen aus dem Lidl-Tiefkühlfach. Auch das Personal schien von dort zu kommen. Die anderen Speisen waren ebenfalls allesamt kritikwürdig. Vielleicht sollte man hier mal einen leidenschaftlichen Koch einstellen, der sein tempramentreiches Personal aus Italien mitbringt.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated, everything is clean and tidy, the service was ok. Unfortunately, the food has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisine and the dishes served under this name were really not good. I can't recommend this.

Just disappointing. PIZZA looked and tasted like a frozen pizza. Tagliatelle with chanterelles were overcooked and didn't taste good at all. Gnocci were not cooked properly. Indian-owned Italian restaurant could only go wrong. If I had known that, I wouldn't have gone.

Fast, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food is not appropriate for the price. The pizza bases appear to be frozen blanks that are simply topped with different ingredients with cheap ingredients. Too bad.

Unfortunately, this location is not particularly inviting as it is very dingy (outside) and dark (inside). Nevertheless, we wanted to give it a try. The service (for which you normally pay, mind you) is NOT inviting, for example. When you order, you simply don't listen and you pay more without the manager having any insight into the error, or in a cordial manner (the ceiling was also dusted with a feather while guests were sitting at the tables next door). Because of our complaint and the very unfriendly reception, we didn't have a nice evening. Definitely not a recommendation!

Strange atmosphere outside, strange combination of vegetables with the beef fillet (raw celery) and, in my opinion, ready-made dough for the €14 pizza. After the first drink you literally had to beg for the second.

Last Saturday we had dinner at "Paradiso" with 18 people. Unfortunately we weren't that enthusiastic about it, the vegetables (which were the same everywhere) were almost raw, the fried potatoes were anything but fried, the noodles were half raw and the medallions were tough. We won't eat here again.

The worst and most disgusting food I have ever been served. I had the seafood pizza and a mixed salad. About the pizza: It was cold, the dough was still raw and the seafood was a joke for this price, i.e. the worst quality you can imagine. The joke was the surimi on it, which has nothing to do with seafood. The pizza was an unparalleled disaster. I didn't eat the salad. One look was enough for me and I knew that it would be absolutely rubbish in terms of quality. The loveless tuna said it all in this salad. Never again and for 26 euros. How can shops like this survive?

We were there for my birthday and had just come from Falkenberg/Elster. Always good.

Rarely have I had such bad pizza, it looked like a ready-made pizza and was also absolutely overpriced. This has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The starter with snails and mushrooms and cheese was just greasy and not really tasty. The service can also be significantly improved. We were only asked for drinks once. Half an hour before closing time we were asked to pay but instead of someone coming to the table to do the bill, we had to show up at the cash register one after the other and pay. I probably won't go there again for the time being.

We ate there a year ago and were very satisfied. But this time big disappointment. We were there for lunch yesterday with 7 people. The pizzas were halfway okay. The ham was missing from spaghetti cabonara - it was returned and the diced ham was added. The casserole with salmon, spinach and potatoes was inedible, it was literally drowned in butter and oil. The waitress didn't really know what to do when I complained and took the casserole away to drain the oil - it didn't taste any better afterwards. No apology from the staff that we weren't happy. It was definitely the last time I was there.

All in all, a very mixed picture. The risotto here is tomato rice, which is really long grain rice with tomato sauce, so be careful!!! The liver was on the grill for at least 3 hours and on it for just as long. The service initially looked grumpy at us, but turned out to be really warm and served us good Berliner Weisse non-stop... keep it up! Unfortunately, the music selection was more reminiscent of the crowd in front of a scooter concert than that in front of an Eros Ramazzotti, which doesn't exactly help the ambience. All in all, I don't think this is an Italian restaurant, but unfortunately I don't know what it is exactly..

So the welcome was nice, the food was delicious and the service was very good. Only the toilets are probably only intended for small people. But I would still go there again and again

The salami pizza is a 1/10 - Finished dough - Tastes like a kebab shop - very greasy. - overpriced for nothing I had my experience with you and will never order there again. If you want to eat well in a pleasant atmosphere, Paradiso is the right place for you. The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The dishes are recommended.

Very poor, grumpy service, some of the food was returned because the meat wasn't cooked. Empty glasses were only cleared away when asked.

The last time I was there was about 11 years ago. The restaurant has changed, but the food is still so delicious!!! I can highly recommend Scaloppa Parmigiana.

Wir waren anlässlich einer Geburtstagsfeier zum Essen hier... Ich hatte ein Schnitzel. So was habe ich noch nie erlebt, so platt geklopft und hart, ich konnte es nicht schneiden. Geschmack war dadurch auch nicht gegeben. War enttäuscht

Leckeres Essen und entspannte Atmosphäre. Service freundlich und das Essen kam schnell. Nur ein kleiner minus war für mich der Salat vor dem Essen . Eisbergsalt mit 1 Scheibe Gurke ein Stück Tomate,,Mais aus der Dose und ein paar Karottenraspel mit fertig Dressing. Schade eigentlich sonst wären es für mich 5 Sterne gewesen. Die Gillplatte für 2 Personen war wirklich lecker .

Comida buena a un precio razonable, la comida no es muy italiana pero está bien. Yo evitaría pedir el menú, es muy caro para lo que es.

Schönes Restaurant. Wir wurden kritischen Blickes gewürdigt, weil wir 14:30 Uhr "nur" Eisbecher wollten. Aber auch diese waren sehr gut!

Spontaner Besuch. Essen war sehr lecker und Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich. Schönes Ambiente. Hat uns gut gefallen.

Habe Essen zum abholen bestellt, 10 Minuten schon geholt. Es schmeckte super, daher der Preis auch noch in Ordnung (10€ für eine Portion Spaghetti Bolognese)

Uns schmeckt das Essen hier gut, sind auch mit der Bestellung zufrieden. Der Übergang von Vorspeise zum Hauptgericht geht manchmal fast zu schnell. Bedienung ist freundlich. Negativ ist, dass man bereits 21:30 Uhr zum Bezahlen aufgefordert wird und man sich rausgeschmissen fühlt, obwohl die Öffnungszeit bis 22 Uhr angegeben ist. Das kennen wir von keinem anderen Restaurant.

Das Restaurant ist von außen und innen sehr schön. Der Service ist nicht sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich oft so als würde man stören. Die Kellnerin war sichtlich überfordert mit uns, obwohl im Restaurant nur 3 Familien saßen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr überfüllt, wenn man weniger anbieten würde wäre es Qualitativ auch besser. Die Pizza ist wirklich schlecht! Die restlichen Gerichte sind ok, aber hauen einen nicht wirklich vom Hocker. Sind dafür aber sehr schön angerichtet. Eigentlich ist der Service wirklich das schlimmste an dem Restaurant.

Essen war wieder gut-sehr gut.Bei hohen Außentemperaturen ist es Drinnen leider kaum auszuhalten.Der größte Kritikpunkt:Hefeweizen gefühlt 13° warm.Mussten Eiswürfel nachordern.Das sollte eigentlich nicht passieren.

Jedzenie bardzo dobre, klimat na zewnątrz też naprawdę fajny. Do obsługi mam tylko ale że jeśli chodzi o przyniesienie menu i płacenie to im się nie spieszy, może akurat tak trafiliśmy. Na pewno wybierzemy się raz jeszcze

Essensqualität sehr gut, sowohl Carpaccio, Rinderfilet, Nudelgerichte und auch die Leber. Man muss glaube ich berücksichtigen, dass die Bedienung halt nicht typische Italiener sind und daher eine ander Mentalität herrscht, die dennoch freundlich ist. Preis-Leistung sehr gut.

Alles in die Jahre gekommen, Essen ist das Geld nicht wert.

Von außen und innen macht das Restaurant ein recht guten Eindruck. Das Essen war so schnell da, da war man noch nicht einmal mit der Vorspeise fertig. Das Essen war nur aufgewärmt und war schlechter als ein Kantinenessen. Die Bedienung versteht kaum durch, wodurch wir statt einem Eis auf einmal zwei zu stehen hatten. Bedient wurde man nur, wenn man die Bedienung heran gewunken hat. Wir waren nach Jahren das erste Mal wieder da und werden nicht wieder kommen.

Essen geschmacklich nicht der Hit Zitat: Johann Lafer, mit viel Sahne schmeckt auch ein altes Sofa. Bedienung nicht wirklich interessiert die Gäste zu bewirten . Fehler in der Abrechnung Das einzigst italienische war der Wein Leider nicht zu empfehlen das Restaurant

Es geht, draußen sitzen ist ganz schön. Hatte nur ein Eis, bewerte also das Essen nicht... Service etwas langsam, aber sehr freundlich.

Insgesamt war es ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Die Auswahl war groß, das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, nur der Service hätte etwas mehr auf Zack sein können. Viel zu lange standen leere Gläser auf dem Tisch und neubestellen konnte man nicht, weil kein Personal vorbei kam, voll war es nicht wirklich. Alles in allem aber sehr solide, kann man auf jeden Fall gut und lecker essen gehen.

Haben mit Freunden dort gegessen. Personal war freundlich. Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Brauchten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Alles im allen ein gemütlicher Abend gewesen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Karte. Auf der Terrasse und drinnen sind Sitzmöglichkeiten. Gutes Preis Leistung Verhältnis. Kamen auch mit größerer Gruppe zur Einschulung zurecht.

Essen hat sich im laufe der letzten Zeit stark verbessert. Es schmeckt mir sehr gut dort. Die Bedienung ist auch sehr freundlich.Wer will kann auch draussen sitzen. Weiter so!

Wir hatten hier unser Klassentreffen. Bedienung hat es nicht geschafft kaltes Bier zügig an den Tisch zu bringen. Ich habe es geschafft in 4 Stunden 5 Bier zu bestellen, alle lauwarm. Gegessen habe ich nichts, wusste das es nicht schmeckt. Bruschetta auf Milchbrötchen kannte ich so nicht. Ab ca 20.30 kein gekühltes Wasser(Selter) mehr. Gegen 22.00 wurde uns gesagt das Feierabend ist. Wir waren ca 20 Personen und am Nebentisch ca 15. Wer es sich erlauben kann schlechtes Essen zu servieren kann auch 35 Leute rausschmeißen. Personal war bemüht freundlich zu sein, leider mit ihrem Job überfordert MfG Fisch

Essen - Lasagne- wurde reklamiert ... es waren keine Nudelplatten im Gericht - sondern zerschnittene Bandnudeln. Es erfolgte Reklamation... mit der Ansage der Bedienkraft... wird bei uns immer so gemacht. Bei derBezahlung forderte man den kompletten Preis von 10 €. Wurde aber unsererseits nur 5€ bezahlt. Schade... nur neues Gesicht des Restaurants... noch schlechteres Essen wie vorher... Bedienung keine Ahnung von Service...

Heute waren wir zum 82. Geburtstag unserer Mutter im Paradiso zum Mittagessen. Wir waren schon einige Male dort essen, besonders im Sommer. Und es war immer tipptopp. Aber diesmal war es eine Katastrophe! Drei von uns wollten Risotto essen, und wir freuten uns auf ein wunderbares cremiges und schlotziges Risotto. Was wir bekamen: ein Reisgericht, gekocht aus LANGKORNREIS! Auf Nachfrage war sich das Personal nicht im Klaren, das es sich hier um den falschen Reis für Risotto handelt! So was geht in einem italienischen Restaurant gar nicht! Das Steak unserer Mutter war gut gebraten, das Gemüse knackig, aber leider überhaupt nicht gewürzt. Die Kartoffeln dazu waren geviertelte Pellkartoffeln, nicht gebraten, nicht gewürzt. Das war Kochen ohne Liebe, einfach nur enttäuschend. Unsere Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und angenehm, war aber leider mit unserer Enttäuschung über das Essen sichtlich überfordert. Nach der Renovierung ist wohl nichts mehr, wie es war. Und der Koch benötigt dringend eine Weiterbildung in italienischer Küche!

Nach Renovierung sehr ansprechendes modernes Ambiente. Leider hielt das Essen und der Service (ungeschult) überhaupt nicht, was das Ambiente versprach. Der Kellnerin fiel beim Servieren gleich die Orangenscheibe vom Glasrand auf den Tisch. Zum Glück brachte sie eine neue auf einem Tellerchen. Die Reste der aufgenommenen Scheibe hat sie nicht abgewischt. Bruschetta ganz gut. Die Zwiebelsuppe sah ganz ordentlich aus, die Zwiebelstücke darin viel zu groß und schwer auf den Löffel zu bekommen. Die Brühe schmeckt einwenig nach Instantbrühe, obwohl sie nicht so aussah. Die mit Käse überbackene Brotscheibe war schon zeimlich durchgeweicht. Besonders enttäuscht hat mich die Pizza, auf die ich gro0en Appetit hatte. Der Teig schmeckte überhaupt nicht, wie ein klassischer Pizzateig, eher wie ein normaler Rührteig, war mit Sicherheit auch nicht in einem Steinofen gebacken, sondern kam gleichmäßig rund wie aus einer Springform. Der Parmaschinken darauf schmeckte sehr salzig, dann fand ich auch noch ein kleines Stückchen Metallfolie einer Verpackung. Sehr mäßiger Genuß, der von weiteren besuchen abschreckt. Schade umd das vor Jahren sehr gute Restaurant.
