Very tasty pizza. Large portion, lots of toppings, baked in the oven. Good strong coffee. Next time in Magdeburg, we will settle here. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Hello everyone, I'm often in Magdeburg for business and this restaurant is one of my favorites. Excellent quality and perfect service! Great value for money.

I've been there a few times; whenever I'm in Magdeburg, it's a must for me. Very friendly and attentive staff, and a lovely restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food.

The tiramisu is substandard: dough with an extremely thin layer of cream and a topping of frozen wild berries. There was no soap in the restroom. The lemon slice in the Kristallweizen is also weird.

I was there on August 14, 2025, for a girls' night out, and today, October 26, 2025, for my 77th birthday. On both visits, I was very impressed by the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and the value for money # decent portions 😀

I went out to eat spontaneously with my wife. The food was good but it was a bit too loud. The music that was playing included advertisements, which I didn't like.

Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing; the noodles were too soft and the sauce tasted bland.

Unfortunately, we didn't like it. The service wasn't that good, and the food wasn't either. Well, maybe it was a bad day.

I used to come here regularly as a Magdeburg resident, and now as a tourist, I can't resist this place either. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are decent. The restaurant offers something for both small appetites (gnocchi, pasta) and large ones (pizzas, calzones). The place is quite popular, especially on Fridays and weekends, so I recommend making a reservation.

I was there alone. They had a table available for me. The staff were friendly, but I felt a bit pressured/stressed. The food was delicious, and I would come back.

I didn't think the food was bad, but it wasn't 5-star. The rolls that came with the salad were cold and not fresh; it was a shame they should cover it up. Since the restaurant is busy, we felt hectic, and it took a while before we could show up to pay. I noticed that there were some differences, and I also added a drink!

The starters were reasonably priced and still tasted acceptable. Unfortunately, the main courses didn't impress us at all – both were noticeably oversalted and therefore barely edible. Overall, a rather disappointing experience, as the quality and taste didn't live up to expectations for an Italian restaurant.

At first, the waiter was very nice and friendly. We got the pizza and from then on, he didn't come back to our table. We would have liked to order another glass of wine, but it was impossible because he was nowhere in sight. We sat with our empty plates for half an hour before we gestured to pay. The table next to us also paid and were invited to have a limoncello. Unfortunately, we weren't offered any limoncello; apparently, they make a distinction here. The pizza was nothing special, comparable to a good frozen pizza. The dough was harder near the edges. The Parma ham was sliced ​​too thickly, which made it tasteless.

We went to Ciao Ciao on Saturday. The pizza was really good, tasted great, and the value for money was also good. The restrooms were clean, which was also a positive. What bothered us, however, was that we were pressured to order at 8:45 p.m. because the kitchen would be closing soon. We were also told that the restaurant would be closing at 10 p.m., even though the online opening hours stated it was 11 p.m. Since we were waiting for other people and had chosen this restaurant precisely because of its longer opening hours, this was disappointing. Of course, I understand that the team wants to finish work on time, but they don't seem service-oriented. Conclusion: Very good food, but communication regarding opening hours urgently needs to be clearer. Nevertheless, I would visit the restaurant again.

It's a shame the pizza has deteriorated considerably from the past. It's no longer crispy, now it's just wobbly... This has happened twice now. 2025 Update!!, after a year: Nothing has improved at all. The pizza is still soggy and far from crispy, even though I clearly stated my preference. My request was completely ignored. In my opinion, this is absolutely unacceptable service. After this experience, I will definitely never order from here again!

1 star because 0 is not possible! Arriving on a Saturday evening at 2 at 9:25 p.m., we were informed that service was over!!!! Uh, sorry??? Yet it clearly says 11 p.m. on Google! We should consider updating the hours posted online and on the restaurant door, or updating the staff, who most certainly don't want to work!

Fortunately, the menu not only features the usual dishes, but also some more unusual dishes. For example, leaf spinach with garlic and feta cheese baked. Everything was very well prepared. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

The food was really good and worth the money, I ordered spaghetti pesto and my friend ordered pizza 4 stationes. They attended us really well and often, and the food came really fast (less than 10 minutes).

The staff was very friendly and spoke English well, which made communication easy. However, the organization could have been better. Appetizers were served without cutlery, and the bread, which is traditionally given as a first starter in Italian restaurants, was only brought after we specifically asked for it. The bruschetta was not on crunchy bread as expected, but on soft rolls. The lasagna contained too much low-quality cheese, and the cotoletta milanese was quite dry and tough. In general, the meat was also too hard. The baked potato that came with the steak was soft, lukewarm, and not crispy. Furthermore, the steak seemed to have waited too long before being served, and we weren’t asked about our preferred doneness. Overall, the food was rather average and did not reflect authentic Italian cuisine. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of complimentary table water, which is common in good German restaurants; instead, a bottle (0.75L) was charged at 8 EUR, which was more than a beer.

A wonderful evening at the Italian restaurant! We had a fantastic evening at this Italian restaurant! The snails as a starter were delicious, and the beef fillet as a main course was perfectly tender. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We felt completely at home and can highly recommend this restaurant!

We arrived on Saturday around 6:30 p.m. and hadn't pre-ordered. Even though we hadn't reserved a table and there were still tables available, they only made a table for us on the condition that we be ready within an hour. The service was friendly and the food was okay. We ended up sitting longer, and no one wanted our table. 🤔 The food was okay, but you had to hunt for the ingredients on the pizzas.

The price-performance ratio is really not good. A good place for pizza, but not recommended for pasta, etc. The Bolognese tastes like it came from a jar, and appetizers are served with rock-hard butter (charge applies).

We ordered fish (pike perch), which was spoiled and smelled strongly of rotten meat. The waiter said he didn't eat fish and didn't know what fish smelled like. No one apologized to us.

This was our first time here; we're visiting Magdeburg. Since neither of us can handle large quantities anymore, and the pizza seemed rather large, I politely asked if we could share a pizza with different toppings. No problem at all 😃! Thanks for that, and for what was almost the tastiest pizza we've ever eaten. It was amazing. Moist, with great toppings. We'll be back! 😋😄

The waiter was unfriendly and listless, and the portions (except for pizza) were quite small. You have to leave after two hours, which is why the waiter took away the napkins and cutlery before dessert.

We recently dined at this restaurant. As a starter we had carpaccio - it was really excellent, very tender and tasty. Unfortunately, the main course couldn't quite keep up: the pizza had a good topping with high-quality ingredients, but the dough was unfortunately a bit too raw and therefore not particularly good. The spaghetti marinara was tasty overall, although I would have liked a little more seafood. However, the price of the restaurant is very fair - it is relatively cheap for the quality of the food. Overall, a mixed but rather positive impression.

For people who have never been to Italy. The portions were huge. Instead of carbonara there was a ham and cream sauce with flaky egg white, arrabiata is sold as puttanesca with sardines, capers and blackened olives. Cheese rolls are served as a side dish. Something would have to be done about the acoustics; there is noise because of the empty walls.

We ate at Ciao Ciao yesterday and today! The service and the food were great! The price-performance ratio is very reasonable! At the end there was a nightcap!👍

The central location of Ciao Ciao alone is good. The pasta with creamy sauce tasted delicious, there are definitely interesting combinations of different ingredients. There is one minus point because, according to the menu, the spaghetti carbonara is served with cream and the pizza parma with mushrooms. The service does a really good job with a calm, friendly demeanor. For a beer, a bruschetta and a pasta I paid €27 without a tip.

The staff is friendly, but unfortunately it seems rather uncomfortable. The pizza was ok, unfortunately the toppings were a bit sparse, but it was large but not exactly cheap. It won't be my favorite Italian, what a shame.

This was my third time there (at some distance) and I tried a different dish on each visit. Today was a total disaster. This time my buffalo mozzarella tasted sour. Is that how it should be? The lasagne is simply not lasagna. A few strange-tasting pasta plates with bechamel stuck together and just some sauce with cheese slapped on them. Very unloving and inedible. Regardless of the food, the service was very slow. After waiting for 20 minutes we finally got a card. Another 20 minutes passed before our order was taken. The waiters are at the Tiach next door and can clearly hear that other Tiaches have not yet been served. Just a shame. First time we didn't tip.

You don't experience something like this every day. We were there earlier than we had reserved. After a short consultation we got a table. Drinks arrived quickly, essential for life after a long day at the trade fair 😉 The food was just perfect. It doesn't get any better. My special request was also fulfilled. So if you really want Italian food, this restaurant is semi-suitable, as it is very “German”. Risotto with cream sauce and just pizza bread instead of foccacia is a bit cheeky, then it should be called something else on the menu. After we had to wait a good three quarters of an hour to even be able to order our food, it also took some time for the food to arrive. It's all edible if you like a lot of cream sauce and cheese and certainly ok. Unfortunately we got a Bolognese that was way too spicy without being labeled as such. After giving it back, only a slightly less spicy Bolognese came back, which was still barely edible for one person in our group. The pizza isn't particularly good either and is somehow a bit hard (and not the good Italian thin pizza dough hard). The atmosphere isn't particularly inviting and having a laminated A3 sheet as a restaurant menu didn't help either. Demanding such relatively high prices for this is anything but appropriate.

Food was very tasty, but the service and customer friendliness left a lot to be desired. Called at 5pm and asked if a reservation had to be made for one person, the answer was no. Arrived promptly at 7 p.m., table was temporarily free. At first I just wanted to order food, but no drink. Then I was told either with a drink or I had to take the food with me. I ordered some water, then the food came and a short time later I was asked if two guests could sit with me. I kindly agreed, but that's not possible. Especially not if you called beforehand. Overall good food but the service is very unprofessional. You can also see the bartender constantly with a sad, annoyed look. I'm not coming back

I spent a great evening at Ciao Ciao on Friday evening with 16 people. Even though we were a large group and every seat in the restaurant was full, we all got our food at the same time. The waiting time was okay and the service was extremely friendly. The taste of the food was again excellent, which was also highly praised by my guests, who were not familiar with the restaurant before.

The staff was friendly, the food was very good. Unfortunately the restaurant closed at 10 p.m.... which was a shame... because the mood in our group was very good.
