Ciao Ciao in Magdeburg

So if you really want Italian food, this restaurant is semi-suitable, as it is very “German”. Risotto with cream sauce and just pizza bread instead of foccacia is a bit cheeky, then it should be called something else on the menu. After we had to wait a good three quarters of an hour to even be able to order our food, it also took some time for the food to arrive. It's all edible if you like a lot of cream sauce and cheese and certainly ok. Unfortunately we got a Bolognese that was way too spicy without being labeled as such. After giving it back, only a slightly less spicy Bolognese came back, which was still barely edible for one person in our group. The pizza isn't particularly good either and is somehow a bit hard (and not the good Italian thin pizza dough hard). The atmosphere isn't particularly inviting and having a laminated A3 sheet as a restaurant menu didn't help either. Demanding such relatively high prices for this is anything but appropriate.

The food itself was really tasty, but also very greasy because there was a lot of cheese on the pizza. If you like that, you've come to the right place. Service was good

Good food, prices are reasonable

Food was very tasty, but the service and customer friendliness left a lot to be desired. Called at 5pm and asked if a reservation had to be made for one person, the answer was no. Arrived promptly at 7 p.m., table was temporarily free. At first I just wanted to order food, but no drink. Then I was told either with a drink or I had to take the food with me. I ordered some water, then the food came and a short time later I was asked if two guests could sit with me. I kindly agreed, but that's not possible. Especially not if you called beforehand. Overall good food but the service is very unprofessional. You can also see the bartender constantly with a sad, annoyed look. I'm not coming back

I spent a great evening at Ciao Ciao on Friday evening with 16 people. Even though we were a large group and every seat in the restaurant was full, we all got our food at the same time. The waiting time was okay and the service was extremely friendly. The taste of the food was again excellent, which was also highly praised by my guests, who were not familiar with the restaurant before.

The staff was friendly, the food was very good. Unfortunately the restaurant closed at 10 p.m.... which was a shame... because the mood in our group was very good.

Ciao Ciao has the usual German monotony of numerous local Italian restaurants. Greetings from pasta with fillet tips in cream sauce and Hawaiian pizza. Plus sporty prices and poor service. Even though it was almost empty, I was only allowed to sit at one of the two tables directly next to the door. The waitress didn't want to take the few more steps to a more pleasant table without constantly walking past. Well, you immediately feel welcome. The menu card comes to the table as a laminated A4 sheet. The selection is huge. No one needs hundreds of dishes and no kitchen can prepare all of them from fresh ingredients. A small weekly menu with freshly cooked seasonal dishes would be great. My Pizza Siciliana would not be allowed to be served as a guest in Italy. Too much topping, soft, the blackened olives (that's really not possible) I immediately canceled. For a good €14 with a cost of less than €2, I expect a perfectly baked pizza with high-quality ingredients. A small 0.2l juice costs €3.40. That's 1000% above the cost of goods sold. Who does the price calculation here? Despite repeated friendly requests, I was refused an additional glass of tap water. “You shouldn’t do that.” Why not was unclear. I won't be a guest again.

Here I ate the worst spaghetti carbonara in my life. Spaghetti Carbonara with cooked ham drowned in cream sauce. We had to pay extra for herb butter. Snails in herbs with olive oil, a little herbs and a little olive oil. Never again.

Very tasty food. It was also brought relatively quickly, after the starter. Clean restaurant, but not very "Italian" style. Employees seemed underwhelmed, often standing at the counter and chatting instead of asking for drinks. Unfortunately, we only asked for drinks when we finished eating/clearing up. For me one of the best Italian restaurants in Magdeburg. Vegetarian, vegan or meat lover. There is something for everyone here. Customers' wishes are taken into account and the food is always freshly prepared.

It was okay, there was no spaghetti Bolognese dish on the menu at an Italian restaurant, I had ordered spaghetti carbonara (but with penne) the carbonara was a ham and cream sauce and they didn't accept my request for penne instead of spaghetti. The bread served with it was rather hard.

Otherwise always enjoyed being there. Unfortunately, today I waited well over an hour. The salad was completely forgotten and after a second request the starter came with the main course with shriveled cucumber. There was a sign on the door saying “Card payment from €20” but people were asked to pay in cash if the bill was €35.

The food really wasn't good. Apparently the ingredients are saved here: I had a lasagna which is usually filled with minced meat sauce. My lasagne only had a little minced meat sauce on the edge. The rest was pasta with bechamel sauce. Really a disgrace. In addition, the service was also a disaster. Nobody cares if the drink is empty. There is no question. At the end, the plates are simply cleared away without asking whether it was tasty. No, I will never eat here again!

We always enjoy coming here. One of the better Italians in Magdeburg. The menu is very large, so everyone will find something. There are no separate children's dishes, the pasta and pizza from the "normal" menu, but were also served as a children's portion upon request 👍 Have already eaten pizza, pasta, fish, bruschetta and various starters here and everything was always very good! The service is very friendly. At the weekend I would advise reserving a table. It's spontaneous on Saturday evenings and there's rarely a table available.

Ein wirklich schönes Konzept. Die offene Küche und der Steinofen stechen positiv hervor und auch das Personal ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Unsere Vorspeise (Pizzabrot und geröstetes Gemüse) war einfach und auch lecker, aber unserer Meinung nach ist der Preis hierfür zu hoch angesetzt. Die Pizza meines Partners war gut belegt und hat ihm geschmeckt; meine war leider etwas fade, wenngleich der Teig bei beiden Pizzen sehr gut war. Auch hier müssen wir allerdings den Preis bemängeln.

The two of us were here on a Sunday evening. The ambience is really nice, the service was also friendly and quick. However, the food didn't convince us. My pizza was undercooked and tasted very much like dough. In addition, the surface was partially burned. My companion's noodles were ok, but not worth the price. I don't know if this was only the case that evening, but now I would refrain from visiting again.

We haven't been to Ciao Ciao in a very long time and won't be visiting again in the future. I had pizza with gorgonzola cheese and my husband had squid in tomato sauce. Both dishes had no taste. The bruschetta we ordered as a starter was forgotten and was then added to the bill! There were at most 15 guests in the restaurant. Very unfortunate!

From pizza to pasta to delicious meat and fish dishes, there is something for every taste. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and you can taste it. I would particularly like to emphasize the excellent service. The staff was attentive, friendly and very competent. They took care of all my concerns and wishes and made sure that I felt completely comfortable. All in all, I can fully recommend the Italian restaurant “Ciao Ciao”. The food, ambience and service were excellent. If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, you should definitely visit "Ciao Ciao". You will not be disappointed!

Die Rezensionen haben mehr versprochen, als der Laden und das Essen halten können. Es ist sicher nicht schlecht, aber eben auch nicht sooo gut. Bei den Preisen muss man mehr erwarten dürfen. Abschreckend fand ich zu Beginn die überladene Speisekarte. Frische Produkte in der Menge und dann noch guter Qualität vorhalten ist fast unmöglich. Das Essen an sich ist zwischen langweilig und solide einzuordnen. Preislich überzogen. Service ist ok. Wir werden eher nicht wieder kommen

Das Personal war trotz der vielen zu bedienenden Gäste sehr freundlich, ruhig und zuvorkommend. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und schmeckte sehr gut. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und einladend. Die Karte bietet eine Vielzahl an Speisen zu guten Preisen.
