I was there with a large group for work and had saltimbocca. The sauce already had a skin on it when it was served. Why there's brown sauce on saltimbocca, no one knows. It came with three frozen croquettes. Absolutely not tasty, and 24 hours later, I was on the toilet for days with a stomach bug. So were some of the others in the group.

Very tasty food, a bit longer waiting time

First of all, the positive: the food was quite good, although I would have liked a little more pizzazz in both the bruschetta and my main course. The food was also quite rich. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was good considering the circumstances. But when I look at the price board, I wonder why people are willing to pay these prices. As I said, the food was good, but had little to do with the really good (and simple) Italian cuisine that I personally value so much. I found the prices to be excessive for what was on offer, beef and lamb not less than 30 euros, carpaccio 19 euros. I know restaurants in Berlin that offer typical Italian food at this price level. The restaurant was well filled, so it seems justified, but I still expect the prices to be of outstanding quality, which is unfortunately not the case here.

The pizzas are really a bit sad. Floor seems to be very clearly rolled out instead of pulled properly. Therefore, the base itself is relatively thick, but the edge is embarrassingly thin, if you can even call it an edge. The toppings or sauce are also not impressive in any way. Not only is the end result extremely much worse than a homemade pizza in a normal home oven according to the recipe from Pizzaiolo Luigi (YouTube), no, it is also worse in places than high-quality frozen pizzas such as those from Gustavo Gusto. The latter in particular is a hurdle that a restaurant should overcome.

We had reserved a table for our team meeting, what can I say from the food to the great staff. If I could I would give 10 stars. It was cold from the winter garden into the restaurant, but since both are served together, open passageways are desirable. The food was good and the portions were more than sufficient. But the waitress doesn't know any service. Take order, bring drinks, bring food, job done. There is no question of whether everything fits, whether it tastes good, whether we want anything else. It was disappointing.

We managed to reserve a table for two people at short notice. It was very pleasant there. The food was excellent. Bruschetta was super delicious, handmade dumplings with porcini mushrooms, beef fillet tips in Gorgonzola sauce were very tasty. I can really recommend it.

We always enjoy eating here. The food is fantastic and the staff is nice and friendly. Despite the challenges of lockdown, they are doing a great job now that restaurants have reopened. Grazie, Salvadore! Great service!

I have been visiting this restaurant for many years, but on December 25th, 2024 this was about to change. I wanted to spend a cozy time with my family on Christmas Day, but we started to have to wait quite a while for our long-reserved table. We finally got a seat and realized that this restaurant was completely overcrowded. There was hardly any space and you were almost sitting on your neighbor's lap. The menu was changed for Christmas which was neither visible online nor was we informed about it by phone. So you couldn't order what you would have liked to eat. The food arrived within 20 minutes. Which was pretty quick, now we knew why! As soon as we had eaten we were made aware that a queue had already formed in front of the restaurant and that they needed tables. Well, that's what I think below all else. In my opinion, that evening was all about earning as much as possible. I will then no longer visit this restaurant because I don't support something like that. Really a shame.

We had reserved a table for December 25th, 2024 so far so good. Our table wasn't available at all, even though we had reserved it for a long time. Our entire family and grandparents were given a table that was probably reserved for others and then another table was taken away so that it would fit. So nothing reserved and everything was super cramped where you couldn't feel comfortable. The food menu was rapidly reduced so you couldn't order what you actually like to eat. You could have mentioned it online. The food that was ordered came quickly and then the harshness set in. When we were eating, we said loudly and clearly to several guests that we needed tables and then the first guests left. We've already been looked at, so nothing to do with just being together and enjoying ourselves. People were already lining up outside, waiting for the others to be processed. For me it was the last time I went out to eat there. It struck me as just making a quick buck and bye-bye to the next request. They'll never get any money from me again

The food in this restaurant was really good - the dishes looked very appetizing and tasted impressive. Unfortunately, the positive impressions end there. The staff was disorganized, rude and visibly annoyed. Long waiting times to take orders and get drinks and food made you feel unwelcome. The menu was overloaded, which some may perceive as diversity, but also raises doubts about the quality. In addition, the prices are disproportionately high for the conditions offered. Another negative point was that card payments were not possible.

Too little choice on the Christmas menu

To celebrate our Christmas with the family, we decided to visit Marco Polo. Due to the long wait for a table due to organizational difficulties, the situation was a bit tense. When we were shown to our table we were only presented with a limited choice of dishes. The staff had told us that this was the holiday menu, but this menu was not disclosed on the website or during the phone call to reserve a table. I think it's a shame that we had to leave after less than 90 minutes because there were no tables available for the new guests.

All nice service and service as well as the food

The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, almost like a family environment. The food was excellently prepared – fresh, tasteful and beautifully presented. The food was really excellent, a big compliment to the chef – we all really enjoyed it! Unfortunately, the positive impression was greatly marred by the service. Our waiter was unprofessional and rude. It is completely unacceptable to have to listen to him lecture me just because we had a reservation for 8-12 people and then 8 people showed up. The fact that extra tables were available shouldn't have been a problem, but the way it was handled was simply inappropriate. Instead of finding a solution or communicating in a friendly manner, nothing was done. It's a shame, because the food definitely deserved a better overall impression!

Great Italian in the residential area... It's been around forever and that's a good sign. I like to go there when I'm in Berlin. You can almost always get a seat without a reservation (the restaurant is big!). The service is friendly and quick and the food is delicious. The meat dishes made from lava stone are also recommended.

For German Unity Day, I simply treated myself to a quick Pizza Tonno to go at the Italian restaurant Marco Polo Due and wanted to test the quality of the pizza and the pick-up service from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. for myself. I was warmly welcomed by the waiter Toni, who immediately took my order. After waiting 10 minutes, the pizza was ready. How did this taste? Very good, based on the Italian model. Tomato sauce, cheese, tuna and red onions in sufficient quantities. The base is thin and very crispy, with the final whistle I'm blown away. It was a very good Pizza Tono in terms of taste, quantity and appearance. Thanks to the pizza maker Toni. The price-performance ratio is really great. A real recommendation for just 12.50 euros, including a relaxed atmosphere and professional, attentive and courteous service.

The food at Marco Polo is really amazing! The Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is super tasty – beautifully spicy, perfectly cooked and just the right amount of garlic. And the Pizzatono? Simply brilliant! The dough is nice and crispy, the topping is fresh and the tuna fits perfectly. You can really tell that attention is paid to quality here. Plus really nice and fast service – what more could you want? Definitely five stars for me!

The food at Marco Polo Restaurant is simply fantastic! The pasta is always fresh and perfectly al dente, with delicious sauces that simply impress in terms of taste. The homemade pizza is particularly recommended – crispy base, aromatic ingredients and just the right amount of cheese. You can taste the love and quality that goes into every dish. A true Italian taste experience that I can only recommend to everyone. In addition, the service is very friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Ich habe mir zum heutigen Tag der deutschen Einheit beim Italienischen Restaurant Marco Polo Due einfach auf die Schnelle eine Pizza Tonno to go gegönnt und wollten die Qualität der Pizza und den Abholservice von 11.30 - 21 Uhr selbst testen. Ich wurde vom Kellner Toni sehr herzlich empfangen, der dann auch gleich meine Bestellung entgegen nahm. Nach 10 Minuten warten, war die Pizza auch schon fertig. Wie war diese geschmacklich? Sehr gut, nach italienischem Vorbild. Tomatensauce, Käse, Thunfisch und rote Zwiebeln in ausreichender Menge. Der Boden dünn und sehr knusprig, mit dem letzten Pfiff zum boah ich bin geflasht. Es war eine geschmacklich- mengenmässig- und optisch sehr gute Pizza Tono. Danke an den Pizzabäcker Toni. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist echt top. Für schmale 12.50 Euro eine echte Empfehlung, inclusive entspannter Atmosphäre und professionellem aufmerksamen und zuvorkommenden Service.

This Italian is our regular restaurant. There is nothing wrong with the food. Price performance is very good. There's nothing wrong with the service either. A big recommendation from us!!! And the glazed veranda is a great place to sit in any weather.

It was okay. Food was very good.

So today I spontaneously went there for lunch with 2 kids. There were hardly any visitors there and the kids were pretty hungry. First we waited until we received the menu card. It was around the corner, so we picked it up ourselves. When we noticed that we were being pointedly ignored by the waitress, we simply left. What was that?... or are kids not welcome at lunch in this "restaurant"? Or assume that you don't have to expect that much money + tips?... By the way, this is not a 4-5 star restaurant... Definitely the last time... it doesn't have to be and there are definitely better restaurants with better food. Apparently the restaurant doesn't care about the satisfaction of all guests. According to the motto "Oh no matter, we get enough visitors anyway. It's just a shame... I'll always give a lot of tips))) oh dear... as an emergency solution we went to PizzaLovers around the corner (it tasted pretty good, by the way).

So first the positive: The food was really convincing. It was well seasoned and the portions were big enough. Only the prices are a bit very high. But that was it again for the positive. First it was forbidden to sit outside, even though we made reservations two months in advance. When I asked why, I was told that I should have registered it in advance. In my opinion, it is logical that in the height of summer, especially with such a large outdoor area, you would want to have a table outside. The waiter generally pushed us very hard and gave the feeling that he wanted us to leave as quickly as possible. In addition, due to high customer demand, we were only given a reduced menu. This meant we didn't have the opportunity to order classic dishes like spaghetti bolognese or carbonara. There is a deduction in the ambience, as there was a very large spider hanging directly above our table (it was significantly larger in real life than in the picture).

Food was quite good. Had the rump steak and the penne arrabiata with extra chicken. Minestrone as a starter. You have to season it here. Otherwise everything is ok.

We haven't eaten so deliciously in a long time! All dishes were hot, delicious, aesthetically presented and the price-performance ratio was right! The waiter was extremely friendly, especially to our little daughter. From the drinks to the starters and main courses to the desserts, every order came quickly and without errors. We'll definitely be back! You have to remember that you can only pay with cash. But if necessary, there is a savings bank next door ;)

The indication that cash payments only could be made a little earlier, for example with a corresponding symbol on the entrance door. Incredibly fresh, delicious food. The chefs know what they are doing. The halibut is a poem, the garlic soup is a dream. The only thing I think is bad about this restaurant is that some of the waiters seem rude at times. Otherwise, a clear recommendation.

Went there recently…and will leave it at that. Service started well, then quickly deteriorated. Food was ok. The invoice was brought in full. Separate payment was planned. No card payment...that's clear...and no, that's not common in Berlin. We were allowed to choose the bouncer liqueurs, but they were not brought to us. Because of my upbringing, there were still tips. Bad service, waiter simply forgot about our table

The food was OK, good is something else, unfortunately the chicken breast was very dry. However, an absolute no-go for me is that no card is accepted, only cash payment. And that doesn't work at all, which means that we won't be able to stop there again.

We ordered starters and drinks to begin with, told the waiter that we will order main course later. After we finished with the starter, no one came to us to get the order or clean the table. We waited for 20 mins, no eye contact, total ignorance, regular guests are more important then new ones. No card payment. Weak service and bad experience, better find another place for dinner.

TLDR: Good store, although still without card payment. Price wise. The service was very helpful, quick, friendly and fulfilled all of our wishes, even though it was really full. The food was also good, although unfortunately the steak was not medium rare as ordered but rather medium rare. To be fair: It's an Italian restaurant and not a steakhouse. The pizzas were excellent. There was also a bit of salt missing everywhere, but this can quickly be remedied at the table. Fries, grilled vegetables, bruschetta and dessert but all first class. So always happy.

Very tasty food, I had the fish soup and an asparagus pizza, the wine with strawberries was also very tasty. The food came quickly and relatively simultaneously for our group of 13 people. The staff was friendly and joking. The star deduction only occurs because card payment is not possible. However, there is a savings bank almost right next door, but not everyone is a Spatkasse customer and I don't even know whether they are in a Cadhpool.

The waitress discussed that card payments wouldn't make sense and that you can only pay in cash everywhere in Berlin. Food was good but we waited an incredibly long time. An Italian with a winter garden that can be turned into a patio in the summer. Classic food offering. I ate spaghetti with aiol and the chef's risotto as the main course. Risotto could have been a little messier. Otherwise a funny waiter and a successful dinner. It's sure to be busy in summer, so make a reservation.

Casserole drowned in oil, the Margherita pizza only consisted of cheese which I didn't like!
