Ristorante La Scala Minden in Minden

It's been a while, but it still moves us. There were two of us there. Since we were in the middle of moving, our clothes were not elegant. When we entered the restaurant we were not “complained about”. However, after that. We were put in the last dirty spot under the stairs. And ignored. The group that arrived half an hour after us had their meal in front of us. We didn't even have the appetizer until then... we left without finishing. Of course we paid in full. We felt so uncomfortable that we had to get out of there. It's a shame, as a newcomer I would have liked to go to this restaurant more often. But it's a waste of my money if I'm treated like an anti-social by the staff because of my clothing... When we wanted to leave, it was apparent that the staff's behavior was inappropriate, as we gave the next table (company dinner) another round, asking them not to publicly insult employees who weren't there. Even if the food was good, NEVER AGAIN!!!! Since we were still hungry, we went to “Die Knolle”. There we were warmly welcomed and served in the most polite way. The food there was also very good. And that's why we're going there again today on Valentine's Day to eat.

Short version: -We waited over an hour for us to be able to order - and waited another hour for food -the boss is a case in itself -Food doesn't taste good -If you look closely or go to the toilet, you can see that hygiene and cleanliness are non-existent -160€ for 5 people and no one was fed up - Staff is nice but just stands around and doesn't pay any attention to the guests Despite the bad reviews, we decided to go out to eat in this restaurant with the family (5 people) on October 24th, 2022. We reserved a table early for 6 p.m. The first impression was very comfortable. If you look closely, it's not really well maintained and clean. And the toilet was probably last cleaned days ago. Now about our visit: We arrived at the restaurant around 6:10 p.m. And got the reserved table. At that point there were still many tables available. We quickly received the tickets and our drinks were taken. Then it started, the boss brought the food to the next table, a handbag that was leaning against the table was in his way. He shot it away with his foot and just said that it didn't belong there. Then we got our drinks and were asked if we had already decided on something to eat. We deny this. Then more guests arrived. Everyone was served, got their food and we sat there, all the cards were closed, the 2 service staff and the boss stood around most of the time. We waited over an hour before we were allowed to order our food! When the boss took the order, he started discussing with us that it wouldn't be possible to order a cold starter with the main course. Since this is ready sooner and the salad is exactly the same. Almost another hour later, we had all long since finished our first drink and still no food. It looked similar at the next table, only they had their food an hour ago. One of us went and said to the front counter that someone would like to serve us. Now the waitress came and at first she said we had to wait so long because we hadn't made a reservation. Then it was at a large table that they had to serve. We ordered our 2nd round of drinks and continued to wait. (As we left we looked at the large table, which consisted of maybe 10-15 people) Shortly afterwards the food came. 2 salads, 2 pasta dishes, a lasagne, once octopus and I had monkfish with crabs in white wine sauce. All fish dishes should be accompanied by salad. We were missing this one. There were no spoons with the noodles. The portions were really quite small and everything was pretty tasteless. The salad was bitter and the dressing was missing too. My fish wasn't fried, seasoned or anything like that. The white wine sauce was completely missing. There were raw crabs on the hot fish. On the plate there were some fried vegetables with melted herb butter or something. This was the only part of the fish I ate as it had some flavor. Funnily enough, we were also given a huge pepper mill on the table with our dishes, even though salt and pepper were already there. After maybe 15-20 minutes after we received our food, we were already finished. We left a whole salad and my fish back. We waited far too long to pay again. Then we left. Since we were all still hungry we went to Poppins (which is only a few meters away). As usual, there was delicious food and a great dessert

Unfortunately the food was a bit little. The main courses tasted good. The bruschetta starter was below average. The dessert was a big disappointment the panna cotta tasted stale and had the consistency of a shoe sole the service was good and too frequent

I'm torn whether I should give it just three stars. We have been visiting LaScala off and on for over 15 years. The food here is simply delicious and didn't disappoint us this time either. But the service! It took almost an hour until we had 2 small rolls with some dip on the table. It took another 20 minutes for the starter, and we only had the main course on the table about 2 hours after we entered the restaurant. The food was good, super fresh, deliciously seasoned. You just can't plan anything else afterwards.

Positively surprised! Rustic ambience and cozy. The food was really very good, which is also reasonably priced. A table was chosen for us and our dogs in a quiet corner. The staff was very friendly, I can only recommend the restaurant.

We had dinner there on September 20th at 6 p.m. The service was attentive and very friendly. The food was great. We would love to come back

Unfortunately, the great ambience of the restaurant cannot compensate for the slow service due to a lack of staff and the mediocre food. We dined with a reservation on the 1st floor, where you are a bit “off the beaten track”. It's good that two more guests came over the course of the evening. We had water after about 30 minutes. The wine we ordered was not “found” and a more expensive alternative (€34) was placed on the table after 90 minutes (sic!) for around €8. The mixed starters were almost inedible: the melon with ham was the highlight. The “prawn salad” from the supermarket shelf, the Vitello Tonato sauce underground. Some of the main courses were excellent: calamari! The lasagna was good. Pizza similar to the music box. There are better alternatives in the immediate vicinity. Other pasta dishes were overcooked. The risotto tasted neutral, the truffle was only hinted at. The service tried hard, but was visibly overwhelmed, also due to the spatial separation on the upper floor, which is not his fault. Always friendly and well trained. Conclusion: You can probably eat well downstairs or in the courtyard. Without more staff, probably not.

About two weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the Italian restaurant La Scala in Minden and I can safely say that it was an unforgettable experience. Our group consisted of eight women, and we were warmly welcomed and looked after excellently from the start. **Food and drinks:** We tried a variety of dishes - from pizza to pasta to grilled sea wolf with vegetables and delicious potatoes. The side salad with a fresh honey mustard dressing was particularly impressive. The pasta appeared to be homemade, which was confirmed when we asked, as were the rest of the ingredients, which were all fresh and high quality. **Service:** A particular highlight of our visit was the service. Our waiter, a young man with tattoos, was not only personable and humorous, but also extremely experienced. We were very impressed by his friendliness and professionalism. An unexpected highlight was when he surprised us with an espresso martini and conjured up something very special: he shaved fresh parmesan over the martinis, which created an extraordinary taste experience. This unique combination really surprised and delighted us. **Atmosphere:** The ambience of La Scala is very appealing both inside and out. Inside it is stylish and cozy, while this time we sat outside. The outdoor area is beautifully designed, with various statues and lush plants, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. **Price-performance ratio:** Even though the prices are a little higher, they are definitely worth every penny. The quality of the food, the excellent service and the special ambience completely justify the price. **Conclusion:** La Scala in Minden is a true gem for lovers of Italian cuisine. The combination of great food, exceptional service and a welcoming ambience makes it a place I highly recommend. It was a fantastic experience and I'm looking forward to my next visit. Overall, La Scala in Minden deserves my highest praise and I can only recommend it to anyone looking for a special culinary experience.

Never again!! I was there for the first time today, we went in and sat down, then an older employee immediately came and asked us why we were just sitting down, you probably have to ask first and that would supposedly be the case in every restaurant. Then he said that they had no room and wouldn't have stayed anyway. I've never experienced anything so unfriendly.

Great ambience. We had 2 very tasty dishes with wide noodles with meat variations/salmon. The open rose is also highly recommended. Service is excellent, for example highly effective air purification devices were purchased for indoor areas, service is carried out under a face mask, you feel in very good hands, especially in these times. At the beginning/mid of November I was there again after 3 months. We had Parpadelle Michelangelo and Pizza Quattro Stagioni, classic pasta and pizza🤙. A small beer and mineral water first. Plus open wine as Lambrusco and Rose. After dinner 2 espressos. 47€. Respect. Above all, respect for keeping the prices stable at this acceptable level in terms of quality and not, like many others, adjusting at least one of these two adjustment screws. I can only hope that there are enough guests like this evening who will appreciate this in a consistently great ambience (under COVID - fair management...as long as it is necessary)👌...2024: ... fillet with truffles, oysters first, gratinated ... perfect, as always the ambience. Zum ersten Mal im La Scala in Minden und sehr begeistert. Sehr guter Fisch, charmanter und informativer Service, schöner Innenhof, das Restaurant selbst eine gelungene Mischung aus uraltem Gemäuer und zeitloser Eleganz, dabei so zwanglos, dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Bemerkenswert die Erfahrung, dass Pecorino auch ein fruchtig-würziger Weißwein aus den Abruzzen ist, ich kannte ihn bisher "nur" als Schafkäse😉😋

Today we spontaneously went to La Scala in Minden. With luck we got a table. A really great atmosphere in the historic building right on the market square. For the first time at La Scala in Minden and very enthusiastic. Very good fish, charming and informative service, beautiful courtyard, the restaurant itself a successful mix of ancient walls and timeless elegance, yet so informal that we felt very comfortable. What is remarkable is that Pecorino is also a fruity, spicy white wine from Abruzzo, so far I "only" knew it as sheep's cheese😉😋

The steak was very tasty, but the salad was a bit bland and out of the bag I would say. The rolled carrot was nice. Service friendly but inattentive, there were only 3 tables occupied. When asked about dessert and coffee, we said no. Waiter gone, but we would have had something else to drink. The ambience is actually nice, but the many untidy corners...

We were there for dinner and were very impressed by the ambience, but not so much by the service: we waited over an hour before we were served the starter. This wasn't particularly tasty either, but the main course and dessert were really very good 👍🏻 Overall, one star deducted for the long waiting time and the average antipasti, otherwise everything was great!

The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and answered our questions about some of the dishes competently. The food tasted very good and the portion size was filling. I can really only recommend the restaurant.

.A pity Today, February 1st, 2024, was my husband's first day of retirement. We just wanted to eat nice and good food. A look at the map only told us one thing: prices increased. Now both of us as waiters are completely understanding of our profession. Battered and mostly flattened during the Corona period. Many restaurants are still fighting for survival. Only these extremely sporty prices are steep. Okay. The starter of beef carpaccio was great. For the main course we had grilled fillet of beef. Both were medium. I didn't want potatoes and vegetables. Instead I stuck with salad and bread. Salad okay.. .no bread Both fillets came......... with 2x 1cm by 1cm. small herb butter particles. I asked for some more herb butter. I didn't want to ask anymore about the bread that was supposed to be served with it. And the fillet. was. English.!!!! But the story was already over by then. Ein historisches Gebäude, welches mit seinen massive Balken im inneren und den in weiss eingedeckten Tischen ein schönes Ambiente schafft. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und präsent aber nie aufdringlich. Das Essen war vom der Vorspeisenplatte über Hauptgerichte und Nachspeisen durchweg sehr gut und geschmackvoll. Ein gelungener Besuch.

Wieder waren wir um Weihnachten in Minden wie auch das letztes Jahr, da waren wir schon begeistert vom Essen im La Scala und auch im diesen Jahr war es wieder super 👍 Sehr freundliches Personal ( blonder großer Herr ) und leckeres Essen 👍 wir sehen uns wieder !

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem guten Restaurant. Wir haben ein 6er im Lotto an dem Abend gefunden. Wenn wir wieder in Minden sind, besuchen wir wir es wieder. So viel Niveau, Ruhe und exquisite Speisen. Top Essen zu nicht überzogen Preisen. Meine Freunde waren begeistert. Ich zolle dem Inhaber mein Respekt für so eine italienische Gastfreundschaft. Sehr, sehr sauber und super gepflegtes Lokal. Hier kann jeder die italienische Küche mit Genuss genießen, ohne nach Italien zu fliegen. Das war ein so unvergesslicher Abend. Wie im Urlaub. Vielen herzlichen Dank

Der Laden liegt etwas versteckt aber dafür hat man auch seine Ruhe, weil man nicht direkt am Marktplatz sitzt. Das Essen ist absolut top und schmeckt super. Lediglich für die Preise einen Stern Abzug. Wenn man aber für gutes Essen auch mal mehr ausgeben möchte, sollte man den Laden auf jeden Fall ausprobieren.

Hier fühlt man sich sehr wohl es ist wunderbar einen schönen gedeckten Tisch vor sich zu kommt dann das Essen nach angemessener Zeit schmeckt das auch die Beratung des Weines ist fantastisch und der Preis ist dem allen angemessen ein super Restaurant

Die Involtinis waren total lecker.

Ein gemütliches Restaurant direkt in der Stadt etwas versteckt mit einem tollen Innenhof zum draußen essen. Auch das Essen hat mich bis jetzt nie enttäuscht ich konnte sogar echte Carbonara bestellen obwohl diese nicht auf der Karte standen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und steht’s bemüht.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, allerdings fehlte uns bei der Weinbestellung ein wenig Offenheit, das trübte im Nachgang die gute Stimmung etwas.

Das Ristorante La Scala in Minden befindet sich in einem der ältesten Häuser von Minden. Das Ambiente im Inneren sucht seinesgleichen, im Innenhof hat man das Gefühl, in einem Grotto in Italien zu sitzen. Das Essen hat auch 5 Sterne verdient, dazu gibt es exzellente Weine aus ganz Italien. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Considerando anche che siamo in un paesino sperduto della Vestfalia, non mi sarei mai aspettato di trovare un così buon ristorante italiano. È gestito da italiani... Bravi!

Also muss sagen der Chef ist super sympathisch, aber das Essen war wirklich nicht gut. Was extrem enttäuschend war bei dem Gericht welches ich mir ausgesucht hatte: es war in der Karte so deklariert, dass die Pasta selbstgemacht sei. Dem war nicht so, zusätzlich war sie mehr als al dente -haben daraufhin den Chef angesprochen, dass in der Karte steht die Pasta sei selbstgemacht, er meinte nein aber es ist eine besondere Nudel Art. Meine Meinung nach ist es irreführend und es waren normale Tortellone. Vorspeisen waren auch nur ok. Die Gerichte meiner Begleitung waren auch nur ok. Nochmal würden wir dieses Lokal leider nicht besuchen, auch wenn das Ambiente echt toll war.

Unglaublich schönes Restaurant über zwei Etagen,mit altem Fachwerk und Holzböden. Sehr aufmerksames Personal/ super freundlich und das Essen : Super Frisch,selbstgemachte Pasta und ein super preis! Vielen Dank

Eine herbe Enttäuschung! Abgesehen von der Lage und der Einrichtung war das Abendessen eine einzige Enttäuschung. Der Service war zwar freundlich, aber langsam und überfordert. Die Vorspeisenplatte war eine Ansammlung von Convenienceprodukten und mit 65€ für je 4 Personen völlig überteuert und die Bestellung nicht wert. Die Pizza wird auf einem Blech gebacken und war in diesem Fall nicht durchgebacken und zudem mit billigem Industriekäse sowie billigster Industriesalami belegt, welche zusammen Unmengen an Fett auf die Pizza abliessen. Dies war mein erster und definitiv letzter Besuch im La Scala.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Besitzer aber ein echter Italiener 😂 Manchmal fragt man sich, ob man im Restaurant sitzt und der Gast ist oder wo man gerade gelandet ist.

Wir waren heute zum Muttertag mit sechs Personen im La Scala zum Mittagessen. Das Ambiente ist innen wie außen sehr schön, auch wenn es in den Räumen recht dunkel ist. Die Karte ist typisch italienisch. Von Antipasti über Pizza, Pasta, Fleisch und Fisch ist alles dabei. Die Bedienung war leider recht wortkarg und wenig zuvorkommend. Obwohl das Restaurant nur halb voll war, hat sich niemand so recht um uns gekümmert oder eine Empfehlung ausgesprochen. Das Essen kam nach angemessener Zeit (ca. 20 Minuten) und war optisch ansprechend angerichtet. Leider waren sämtliche Gerichte - wir hatten diverse Vorspeisen, Fisch, Pasta und Pizza- lieblos zubereitet und im Geschmack nur durchschnittlich. Einfache Gerichte wie Rindercarpaccio, bei denen man mit nur geringem Aufwand durchaus punkten kann, wurden ohne Pfiff oder eigener Note auf den Teller gebracht. In Ordnung, aber langweilig. Dieser Eindruck zog sich durch alle drei Gänge. Jedes Gericht bestand aus guten und frischen Zutaten, schmeckte aber entweder langweilig, war nicht heiß oder das gewisse Etwas fehlte. Man hatte etwas den Eindruck, die Geschäftsführung wie auch das übrige Personal hatten keine große Lust, ihren Job zu machen. Schade! Das La Scala hat auf jeden Fall Potential - alleine aufgrund der wirklich hübschen Optik, aber ohne Kochkunst oder Liebe geht es halt nicht.

Das Ambiente im La Scala ist wirklich sehr schön. Im Sommer kann man im romantischen Hinterhof sitzen (das Restaurant liegt ein wenig versteckt). Das Essen war jedoch eher Durchschnitt und dem Preis nicht angemessen. Das Service war jedoch sehr freundlich.

Wir hatten heute die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 Personen für 26€. Sie gratinierten Muscheln waren trocken und alt, Vitello tonato dick geschnitten und gefühlt ebenfalls nicht frisch. Preis - Leistung eher enttäuschend. Wir teilten dann Tagliatelle mit Scampi und Pfifferlingen. Nudeln nicht „al dente“, Pfifferlinge verkocht und das Gericht ohne Eigengeschmack und leider kalt (auch die Teller nicht angewärmt. Einziger Lichtblick der Lugana, kalt und preis ok. Kellner/Inhaber reagierten auf die Kritik garnicht!! In Summe ein vergeudeter Abend und nicht zu empfehlen

Kreative Hauptspeisen mit geschmacklich besonderen Noten. Hervorragende Weinempfehlung und später einen köstlichen Nachtisch - was will das Herz mehr😊. Das Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung.

Nachdem wir ohne Reservierung in mehreren Restaurants abgeblitzt waren, hat man hier alles getan, um uns gut unterzubringen. Das Essen war klasse. Die Zutaten waren saisonal und sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Wir hatten einen sehr netten Kellner und kommen gern wieder.

War das Geld nicht wert !!! Kalte Pizza Brötchen aus dem Kühlschrank lächerlicher dip den macht meine Oma dreimal besser. Kellner war eine rauchendes hat dann das Essen serviert und alles hat nach Rauch gestunken!!!🤢🤢🤢 Sollte verboten werden ! Unaufmerksam und leicht überheblich. Qualität schlecht !!!

Wir saßen im Innenhof und waren begeistert. Sehr nette Bedienung, schnelles und wirklich leckeres Essen. Das Restaurant kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Wir sind Vegetarier und waren sehr zufrieden.

Wir wohnen in der Stadt und waren im letzten Sommer dort. Das war großartig! Toller Service, leckeres Essen! Heute waren wir wieder dort. Ich habe Nudeln mit Krabben in Tomatensoße bestellt. Leider habe ich Nudeln in Weißweinsoße erhalten. Schade, denn ich bin schwanger! Mein Mann hatte eine Lachslasagne. Die Portion war winzig und das Essen fast kalt. Ich habe neue Nudeln erhalten, die waren lecker, aber mein Mann war schon fertig mit seinem Essen als sie kamen 💁‍♀️. Der Service war super nett und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden informiert, dass es einen neuen Koch gäbe. Anbei: unsere Tischnachbarn hatten ebenfalls Probleme mit ihrem Essen.

In einem rustikalen aber irgendwie doch edlen Ambiente werden Speisen geboten, welche auf den ersten Blick nicht gerade üppig erscheinen, aber dann doch für ein solides Sättigungsgefühl sorgen. Die Qualität ist exzellent! Diese Qualität hat aber auch ihren Preis, ist es aber wert. Wirklich großartig! Die Kellner bedienten sehr flott und sehr flink.

Wir bekamen das Essen,war aber sehr schnell kalt.Und das Filet sehr trocken.Und der Preis passt nicht zu hoch was da für bekommt.

In einem versteckten Hinterhof nach einem Durchgang durch die Passage im Vorderhaus gelangt man in das Ristorante La Scala, das im Erdgeschoss und im Backsteinkeller seine Räume hat. Gemütlich altmodisch-norddeutsches Ambiente mit viel Holz und Backstein. Gehobene italienische Küche mit den unverzichtbaren Klassikern und einigen Variationen. Auch Pizzaangebot und einfache Trinkweine für den oberflächlichen Liebhaber „deutscher Italiener“, aber auch gehobene und etwas kreativere kleine Weinauswahl wie auch Speisenauswahl mit dann aber auch ambitionierteren Preisen.

Das Essen war einfallsreich und kreativ. Die Portionen recht übersichtlich und ein klein wenig überteuert. Das Ambiente ist natürlich einzigartig, hier fühlt man sich wohl.

tolles Ambiente, handwerklich perfekte Kochkunst und beste italienische Freundlichkeit - und die Crema auf dem Espresso ist auch der Hammer - gerne wieder - eine wirkliche Empfehlung! Tipp: Lammfiletcarpaccio und Seeteufel mit Grünerpfeffersahensauce!

Nice welcome by the owner (or the man in charge), but the waiter was really not profesionnal, not friendly...
