I came here because I believed XHS's hype; I guess netizens have never actually eaten fine food. The black truffle pasta was really mediocre. The pasta texture was poor; for the same price, you can get black truffle beef pasta at other restaurants, and it tastes much better. The steak was just average, but considering the price, it wasn't great. The Fisch Suppe was alright, which redeemed it a little, but not much 😅 We waited almost an hour from appetizer to main course, and it was incredibly noisy the whole time… (Of course, this isn't the restaurant's fault; it's a common problem in German-speaking areas).

Incredible experience, excellent cuisine, high-quality ingredients, homemade pasta, impeccable service!!! I will be back!

Terrible experience last night, October 6, 2025. We had a reservation for 8:30, a table for 11, but after an hour of waiting, another customer arrives and tries to pass us by and sit before us. The owner doesn't intervene, and the customer calls the colleague who tries to enforce our turn a bitch. They tell us that if we want to wait, fine, otherwise we're free to go. They tell us that you can only dine there if you know someone. Well, who do they think they are? The food may be great, but you can't run a public place like this, and the owners, after witnessing this verbal aggression, should have kicked that person out of the place. Unfortunately, we Italians are always known for the best. It's true that the whole world is the same. PS: Next time, don't accept reservations if you can't confirm them.

What a place!! Family owned and you are served with love! All the food was amazing. The wine was delicious. The dessert were a perfect finish. It is outside of the main city of Cologne but 100% worth a quick uber. We did walk back to the main city though so walkable is doable. Overall the best meal I had during my visit to Cologne.

Some of the best carpaccio I have ever had. The truffle pasta is the signature dish. Everything was excellent. It's out of the way so a long walk or or an uber is needed. Highly recommend.

Yesterday I was invited to a large family celebration at Etrusca. The long table was beautifully set, the service was warm and attentive, the food, whether antipasti, pasta, fish or meat, everything was delicious and of high quality, the wines were well chosen, simply everything was really excellent. It's a shame that I don't live in Cologne, otherwise it would be my "favorite Italian".

Dinner was spectacular. It was teleporting us to Southern Italy. From the reception, the owner of the restaurant welcomed us with appreciated courtesy. Then the waiters were super attentive, not to mention the food! We ordered the parmesan spaghetti, the best pasta I have ever enjoyed in my life. The starter and dessert were tasty indescribable.

Stable Italian restaurant! Appetizer, pasta and the open red wine are delicious. The service is extremely warm. Unfortunately we weren't sitting at the most comfortable table. The drinks were served after the starter, unfortunately not optimally. In my opinion, the pricing is a pinch too confident.

We used to enjoy eating here. The food was still a normal, decent portion and the service was world class. Unfortunately, yesterday we felt completely different: the food was a mediocre portion at a high price, the starter came after just a few minutes as if everything was ready and the service was everything but no service. Nobody who asks if it tastes good or whether it tasted good, nobody who has a smile on their face! Everyone runs around the restaurant like wild chickens. And let's be honest: you order pasta from a parmesan wheel because the whole thing is prepared at the table. The tables are now so narrow that my pasta felt like it was being prepared 2 meters away behind a pillar without any attention. The distance to the neighboring table is far too short 30 cm distance - No, for the money we expect a little ambience and not an atmosphere like a fast food restaurant. Last but not least, you get the bill brought to the table in a folder that I have never experienced anywhere before. This folder has probably been in the trash for five years; on the other hand, it went well with the dried flowers on the table that everyone seemed to have forgotten to put away. It's a shame - things used to be different!

The restaurant offers an authentic atmosphere that makes you feel like you are dining in Italy. From the warm wooden furniture to the subtle Mediterranean decorations, every detail was carefully thought out. The subtle background music, mostly Italian classics, also contributed to the cozy atmosphere. I chose a three-course menu, consisting of bruschetta as a starter, a perfectly prepared file of beef al gargonzola main course and a traditional tiramisu as desert. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our waitress patiently explained the dishes to us and gave us wine recommendations that went wonderfully with the food. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. It was noticeable that people cook and serve here with passion. This Italian restaurant is a must for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. Whether it's for a romantic dinner, a meeting with friends or simply to do something good for yourself, it's worth coming here. I will definitely come back!

Really great family atmosphere. The service is super nice and very accommodating. The food is perfectly seasoned! I had tuna tartare with avocado - simply a taste explosion. So tasty! For my main course I had ravioli with ricotta spinach filling in tomatoes with buratta. Crème brûlèe for dessert. Everything was very, very tasty. The wine list is also to die for. Be sure to visit!

Even though the food is great (been to Etrusca a few times), I cannot leave a positive review. I booked a table two weeks in advance, and upon arrival we were asked to wait. At first we were ok with that, but after 30 minutes we lost our patience and went to another place around the corner. Very disappointing, I was expecting the restaurant to take our reservation seriously.

Nach 2 Jahren (wo wir noch begeistert waren) erneut dort gegessen. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut im Keller. Hohe Preise, unfassbar kleine Portionen von denen man nicht mal ansatzweise gesättigt ist. Die Bedienung ist freundlich aber alles war etwas wie am Fließband. Essen kam superschnell, so dass man in einer Stunde quasi durch war. Das „Erlebnis“ eines entspannten Restaurantabend war nicht gegeben und wir sind unbedfriedigt wieder gegangen. Wir hatten „nur“ jeweils eine Hauptspeise und eine Flasche Wein und haben 100€ für eine Stunde Aufenthalt bezahlt. Erst mal nie wieder…

After 2 years (when we were still thrilled) we ate there again. Price-performance ratio absolutely in the basement. High prices, incredibly small (but delicious) portions that don't even begin to fill you up. The service is friendly but everything felt like it was on an assembly line. The food came super quickly, so you could basically finish it in an hour. The “experience” of a relaxed restaurant evening was not there and we left unsatisfied. We “only” had a main course and a bottle of wine each and paid €100 for an hour’s stay. Never again

I would say it is the best Italian in Cologne. For this reason you also regularly meet VIPs there.

Sehr leckeres Essen zu leider überhöhten Preisen. Die Internetseite scheint schon länger nicht mehr aktualisiert worden zu sein. Hier zwei Beispiele: die Fischsuppe als Vorspeise kostet aktuell 20 Euro und nicht wie angegeben 16 Euro, hausgemachte Taglierini im Parmesanleib mit Trüffeln aktuell 25 Euro anstatt 20 Euro. Darüber hinaus sind 9 Euro für ein Glas Primitivo schon überzogen.

I didn't like this italian restaurant at all. You order one dish and you receive a different dish instead. They don't pay attention to their clients and they don't bother to correct their mistake. I won't go back there again. Ci sono troppi errori...

In the middle of the student district and still first class in every respect. Fresh pasta and excellent meat, what more could you want. Staff friendly and accommodating, but never intrusive. I'll be back.

Great “insider tip” on Zülpicher Straße, which is otherwise not (anymore) interesting from a culinary point of view! A great Italian restaurant where you understand the craft - the ingredients are fresh and the preparation is very good! The staff is very nice and it's fun to eat there.

Great Italian with first class food and service.

We were there with a small group to end the year and had reserved a table. This was ready when we arrived and very attractively decorated. We then decided relatively quickly on the drinks and took a look at the wine list. This takes some getting used to. We found what we were looking for and were very satisfied. The order was taken quickly and friendly. The courses were served at just the right intervals. The quality of the food was absolutely excellent. We were all very enthusiastic throughout. Big compliment!

Es war ein sehr italienischer Abend mit gutem Essen, sehr hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Servicekräften und einer sympathischen Inhaberin. Das Essen und der Wein war sehr gut. Ich war zum ersten Mal dort werde aber auf jedenfall wiederkommen. Anzumerken ist auch das es auf der Toilette warmes Wasser gab und auch sehr liebevolle gestaltet war. Ich konnte den Wein vorher probieren, fand ich super. ( auch wenn es normal ist leider immer seltener wird) Kreditkarte wurde auch akzeptiert! Grazie ! A presto 🐾

Wir gehen gerne essen und gönnen uns an für uns besonderen Tagen gerne auch höherpreisige Lokale. Am vergangenen Samstag sind wir zu unserem Jahrestag ins Etrusca - meine Frau hatte dieses Lokal schon seit längerem für einen Besuch auserkoren. Nach einem leicht holprigen Empfang (der Kellner war noch nicht da und wir mussten uns zweimal ob unserer Reservierung "erklären") konnte der Abend starten. Nachdem ich unsere Garderobe - im Gegensatz zu im weiteren Verlauf des Abends kommenden Gästen - selbst zur Garderobe brachte, freuten wir uns auf einen Aperitif und besonderen Abend. Nachdem die (eigentlich wohl nicht zuständige) Dame die Speisetafel hergefahren hatte war ein wenig später der Kellner da um die Bestellung aufzunehmen. WIr allerdings waren nicht so weit, und hätten hier eine Begleitung zur Speisekarte mit Weinempfehlung zu den Speisen erwartet. Die Weinkarte war ein dickes Klarsichthüllen"buch", in dem ich (für mich) keine Sortierlogik erkennen konnte. Ein wenig unbeholfen äusserte ich meine Weinvorstellung, was zu einem (zielgerichteten) hin und herblättern des Kellners führte. Die uns nicht bekannten Speisen wurden erklärt und so konnten wir bestellen. Zunächst kam nun das Wasser, welches leider bereits auf dem Weg zu unserem Tisch geöffnet wurde. Bei 8,- / Flasche ein Unding. Der Weißwein traf unsere Wahl, nur zum einschenken kam es nicht. Der Kellner ließ nach der Verkostung - ohne einzuschenken - die offene Flasche am Tisch stehen, um "gleich wieder da" zu sein. Obwohl nur 4-5 Tische belegt waren, warteten wir nun auf Godot. Nach fünf Minuten habe ich uns den Wein - wie auch im weiteren Abendverlauf - dann selbst eingeschenkt. Auch wenn ich weiß, dass der Flaschenverschluss kein Qualitätskriterium darstellt, war ich vom Schraubverschluss in dieser Preisklasse leicht verwundert. Bei der Vorspeise war die Fischsuppe meiner Frau sehr schmackhaft, mein Duo von Vitello Tonnato und Carpaccio in Ordnung. Für den Hauptgang erhielt ich leider ein unsauberes Messer, welches ich reklamieren musste. Der Hauptgang selbst wurde auf kalten Tellern serviert und hatte zuvor scheinbar "gewartet". So hatte das Nudelgericht meiner Frau "extreme" Temperaturunterschiede: Während es im "inneren" stimmig war, stellte es sich nach außen hin als kalt dar. Als wenn der Teller in Zugluft gestanden hätte. Meine Ochsenbäckchen waren zwar gut heiß, Kartoffeln und Gemüse jedoch leider gerade noch minimal lauwarm. Schade, dass man sich während wir aßen nicht nach unserer Zufriedenheit erkundigt hat. Beim Digestif hätte ich mich über eine Empfehlung des Hauses gefreut. Auf meine Nachfrage bei der weiblichen Bedienung nach einem Grappa, Brantwein o.ä. wollte diese sich beim Kellner erkundigen, der sich besser auskenne. Als Ergebnis gab es jedoch keine Empfehlung, sondern ungefragt direkt einen Fernet auf Eis. Dies entsprach weder meinem Wunsch noch hatte ich dies bestellt. Nach Reklamation brachte der Kellner dann einen Grappa. Insgesamt alles kein Weltuntergang, jedoch leider ein misslungener Abend, der besonders hätte sein sollen. Das Etrusca erlaubt sich ein höheres Preisniveau ohne dies im Ergebnis zu rechtfertigen. Hier müsste gerade im Service und in Hinblick auf den Service bei den Speisen etwas passieren.

Ci sono stato per una cena di lavoro durante una fiera. Il locale era strapieno, ed una tavolata di fianco a noi era molto rumorosa. Sul cibo in sé niente da dire, di buon livello. Però il servizio è stato molto lento, peccato. Da ritornarci forse quando non così pieno.

Über einen sehr langen Zeitraum immer qualitativ Top! Wer hier nicht glücklich wird und das in einer Rezession veröffentlicht, hat es nicht verstanden! Qualität und genießen zählt, nicht „satt fressen und all you can eat“ - diese Leute haben hier nichts verloren und verirren sich zum Glück auch selten hier hin Weiter so, Ihr macht alles richtig 😘🙌💪

Très belle endroit! Italien tenu par des italiens, une très belle cuisine (pas au prix de l’Italie : c’est l’Allemagne). Excellente ambiance, service agréable (même avec des convives agaçants). Professionnel et de bon conseil. Parfait pour un dîner de famille ou d’affaire. Seul bémol : les toilettes. Ce n’est pas normal qu’elles paraissent si vieilles dans un restaurant de ce standing.

Wirklich tolles, italienisches Restaurant! Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Tolle Bedienung, super leckere Speisen und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Ein besonderes Lob geht raus an die Küche. Alle Gerichte waren wirklich vorzüglich - egal, ob Thunfisch, Wolfsbarsch oder die Nudelgerichte. Auch die Desserts waren super, das Tiramisu war ein Träumchen! Wir können hier definitiv eine Empfehlung aussprechen! Kommt her und überzeugt euch selbst!

Die Besitzer kommen auch selbst noch an die Tische, was ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente schafft. Einziger kritischer Punkt ist leider, dass die Umgebung der Zülpicher Straße zumindest an den Tischen draußen leider sehr stört. Zum Glück kann man hier auch sehr gut und schön drinnen speisen, was ich demnach auch nur empfehlen kann. Die Portionen sind angenehm groß, sodass man sich eine Vorspeise mit Hauptgang und Dessert bestellen kann. Alles sehr empfehlenswert!

Sehr bequemes Restaurant in der Zülpicher Straße. Wir haben la Pasta con Trüffel bestellt. Der Service (und der Kellner) waren großartig: Der Kellner ist mit dem Grana Padana Laib auf einen Wagen gekommen und hat den Trüffel vor unseren Augen geraspelt. Der Dessert war hausgemacht und köstlich. Toller Service, tolles Essen. Bravo! Und gerne wieder 😋

Leider waren die Portionen so klein, dass wir trotz Vorspeise nicht satt geworden sind. Es war zwar ein Highlight wie die Trüffelpasta angerichtet wurde, aber die nudeln hätten wesentlich mehr sein müssen um davon satt zu werden. Auch meine Freundin ist von ihrem Gericht nicht satt geworden. Wir haben zuhause noch etwas kleines essen müssen. Und für so viel Geld nicht satt zu sein finde ich schon übel, daher werden wir nicht wieder kommen. Sonst war alles toll und es war auch lecker.

Was soll man da noch sagen. Super nett und tolles italienisches Essen abseits von Pizza & Co. Vielen Dank.

Get the truffle pasta. It's life changing

Toller Edelitaliener im Qwartier Latäng, seit Jahrzehnten wird hier nobel gekocht. Hatte die sardische Fischsuppe und Pasta 🍝 im Käseleib und Trüffel. Nettes Ambiente und freundlicher Service.

Seit fast 20 Jahren kenne ich das Etrusca nun schon und ich wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Für mich der beste Italiener Kölns mit gehobener Küche.

Service unmotiviert und hatte Verständigungsprobleme. Wir waren zu siebt, hatten reserviert, zwei waren schon früher da und bekamen Brot und Oliven und Dip. Als die anderen fünf dazu kamen, fragten wir mehrmals nach, ob wir noch so eine kleine Portion davon haben können, weil es sehr lange dauerte, bis das Essen kam, wurden aber ignoriert. Das Essen ist lecker, aber die Portionen sind ein totaler Witz. Man muss also mindestens drei Gänge essen, um satt zu werden und selbst dann, ist es viel zu wenig. Sieben schlanke Frauen sind im Anschluss an eine so hohe Rechnung noch um die Ecke Döner essen gegangen. Das kann ja nicht wahr sein. Ambiente ist schön und Essen lecker, aber daran muss man arbeiten, denn in Köln gibt es viele sehr gute Italiener.

Sehr herzliche italienische Gastgeber und das super gutes Essen! Jakobsmuscheln, Trüffelpasta und Tiramisu waren top!

Wir waren gestern Abend da und die Familie mit ihren Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr freundlich und schnell. Es hat alles gestimmt. Das Essen war lecker, von der Vorspeise mis Dessert. Die Hauptspeisen haben uns alle sehr glücklich gemacht. Unsere Weine waren auch top. Die Preise sind teuer aber für die Qualität ist alles super. Ich kann jedem diesen Restaurant nur empfehlen. An sich sehr schöner gemütlicher restaurant, aber das alles auf einer tafel die hin her geschoben wird find ich nicht toll, und ein NO GO ist diese mini portion trüffel nudel aus parmesan leib für 22€. Einfach nicht mal kinderportion!! Ich war immer noch hungrig als ich raus ging.

Ein Ort mit Herz und Seele, wir schlemmen sehr gerne hier! Die Speisen sind exzellent, Weine ebenso, der Service stets perfekt. Ganz wunderbar!

Sehr lecker und sehr guter Service. Für mich war nur die Portion etwas zu klein, um satt zu werden.
