Ristorante Don Camillo e Peppone in Fehmarn

We've been there several times...always good...even when it's busy you don't have to wait forever and the staff are courteous...well-prepared and organized...true professionals 🥰

We are regular visitors to Fehmarn. A visit to Fon Camillo e Pepone is always a must for us. We've never been disappointed!

The two pizzas we had were delicious and plentiful. My wife had some packed up to take home. We'll definitely be back!

We ate there yesterday because we'd read that they offered gluten-free pizza and pasta. The pizza was great. However, they didn't mention the €3 surcharge beforehand. The server was very unfriendly and the restroom was very dirty.

Everyone enjoyed the meal. The portions were a good size. It can get a little hectic when it gets busy, but that's the case everywhere.

Anyone looking for gluten-free options due to a medical condition should be very careful here! We ordered a gluten-free pizza and, when it arrived, we double-checked to make sure it was DEFINITELY gluten-free. And guess what… NO! It was a "regular" wheat flour pizza. The server didn't even apologize, even though I explained the urgency of the situation and that we needed gluten-free food, not for lifestyle reasons. He said his colleague had distracted him. The "regular" pizzas were okay. Nothing special. We also found the atmosphere just so-so. We were seated by the door (even though we had a reservation), and it was bright and uninviting. We preferred to go to Doppeleiche a little further down the road.

Spaghetti from lunch menu was bland, and not much flavor. Pizza was overstuffed with way too much (mushrooms, peppers) So the bottom wasn't crispy. Unfortunately a disappointment for us 🤔😟

There was something for everyone for lunch.

To put it simply: Great atmosphere, competent and friendly service, really delicious food at a reasonable price. We'll definitely be back!

Experience pleasure at least once every time on Fehmarn.

The tables are very close together, you unintentionally get in close proximity to other guests.

2 people Bottle of water, 2 drinks, carpaccio, pizza, and pasta with venison ragu were good to very good. There were no snacks beforehand. Okay, we're in a global crisis, so bruschetta would be a disaster. Dessert? No German, so I called a colleague. He didn't come. After 20 minutes: "Would you like an espresso?" "No, we'd like two desserts and two espressos. No one came." After another ten minutes, I asked the waiter for the third time. When he didn't come again, I ordered the bill on the fourth pass. It was slammed down on my table, bare on the tablecloth. €69. I waited for the cashier with a 50 and two 20s. I would have been embarrassed to tip a euro. After another ten minutes, I left €70 because no one showed up to take the cash and give me change (for the tip). Crowded, loud, uncomfortable. Service for tourists, but good quality. The three (plus a senior?) waiters were rushing around, carrying high chairs and stuff around. They kicked up a lot of dust to make them look busy. Unfortunately, I can't rate the dessert right now; there wasn't any for us.

The pizzas are okay, the pasta isn't that great. Tiramisu was the worst I've ever eaten. The service was a bit snippy at times (must have been having a bad day). Another person, however, made it amazing. Hence the three stars.

We received very quick and friendly service. We had a seat on the terrace, which was comfortably warm thanks to the patio heater. Our drinks and pizzas arrived on the table in no time. The pizzas were delicious, and we were completely satisfied. We'll be back.

A really great Italian restaurant. The ambience is very nice and appropriate, the food is delicious - pizza and pasta dishes are simply fantastic! The coffee is also very good and the desserts are Italian and homemade and therefore incredibly delicious! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean, with unique and beautiful furniture! There is a large terrace in front of the restaurant where you can sit in complete privacy when the weather isn't so good. Then at the back, facing the garden, there is another large terrace where you can also sit in a sheltered area. You can choose whether you want to enjoy the city life or sit in the beer garden - also great! The restrooms are also very clean - also great! In conclusion, if you want to eat something good Italian, this is a very good restaurant for that!

The pizza base was completely burnt in the middle. Service wasn't great either.

A truly lovely restaurant. We've eaten here twice and were always very satisfied. The food is delicious. Our special requests were also accommodated. Very friendly and attentive staff. The dishes are reasonably priced for their quality. We'll be happy to go back next time.

The food itself was great. Friendly service, chic ambiance, good taste, and room for improvement. What bothered me a lot: I was there with my two kids. I didn't want to eat anything myself, but I was happy to fulfill my kids' wishes. When I ordered two pizzas for the kids, I was told I had to order something too. (Three 0.3l juices for €4.80 each apparently aren't enough profit.) But I wasn't allowed to have a children's plate either... so I had to order an adult plate. I've known the restaurant for years and have heard a few strange arguments. What I find very disappointing, however, is that despite the incredibly high number of customers, they have to squeeze another €10 out of the customer, after they've already had drinks. So unnecessary...

Ate here for the first time. The staff was very friendly. Great seating, and the pizza was incredibly delicious. We'll definitely come again.

We were quite disappointed. The pizza base was wobbly and tasted very plain, even though it was the pizza special. My wife and daughter's tortellini in cream sauce tasted of nothing. So the only Italian thing was the name. Sorry, tourist fodder.

I had the zander with fresh vegetables from the specials menu; it was wonderfully delicious. The zander was cooked to perfection, the crust was as crusts should be: crispy and well-seasoned. The vegetables were also cooked to perfection and very tasty. We'll definitely be back!

The food was too spicy for one child. When we politely pointed this out, the waiter became very rude and rude. When we were rude in return, we were told why we were so rude. Never again. After that encounter.

Yesterday, I ate the most delicious pizza (tuna/onion) I've ever eaten here. - I've eaten a lot of pizzas :-)

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We ordered pizza. The peppers weren't fresh, but from a jar. This made the pizza taste sour because the juice from the sour peppers had soaked into the dough. We removed the peppers from the pizza, and the pizza was soggy overall. When we were asked if we enjoyed it, we explained the problem. They didn't address it, just offered a small apology, and that was it. In a pizzeria, we assumed that fresh ingredients would be used. We won't be back. The way we were treated as guests was very disappointing: we paid full price, but no offer or consideration was made.

Good service and good location, but unluckily I made wrong choice on pizza

Very tasty pizzas and pasta dishes. Very friendly staff, and the prices are, unfortunately, normal for this time of year, but not overpriced.

This wasn't our first time there, and we're always impressed. It's a bit noisy inside, which is simply because the place is usually packed. The food is delicious, the staff friendly and attentive, and the grappa, which, by the way, isn't on the menu, is fantastic.

Sensational. We've eaten at every other "Italian" restaurant on the island several times. Today (unfortunately, only today) was our first time at Don Camillo. From now on, it's "our" Italian restaurant. Very friendly, super attentive service. I'm really critical, but I don't understand where some of the nasty reviews come from. High praise to Don Camillo... Keep it up!!!

Real Italian Ristorante, with a lovely flair and fantastic employees. The pizza is made in sight where kids and of course grownups can watch pizza being made. Great and tastey food. We come here every year when we are on Fehmarn for vacation. Never regret coming. Maybe also very important to mention with a peanut allergic kid, they took their time to explain and find out what our kid can eat and if anything contains traces of peanut. Love this place.

Great service, food and ambience...

I've eaten at this restaurant several times now while on Fehmarn! Every time, it's simply fantastic! The food alone makes the trip to Fehmarn worthwhile!

We were very disappointed with our visit to this pizzeria. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for our pizza and spaghetti. Meanwhile, other guests who had arrived significantly later than us were already being served, eating, and paying. We politely addressed the issue three times, but instead of receiving any understanding or explanation, we were treated rudely and condescendingly the last time. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in the restaurant industry. Unfortunately, we can't fairly evaluate the food and atmosphere, as the frustration of the long wait and the disrespectful tone completely ruined the evening. We will definitely not visit this pizzeria again.

I know this place because I worked in the kitchen as a cook's assistant in the summer of 1983. There were Pancrazio and Giovanna, two wonderful people. The cook's name was Rocca, I remember the pizza chef Piero. Mario Durante was there too. Damiano and Antonio were too young to remember. It was a beautiful experience that I still remember fondly today.

Best Italian restaurant on the island, an absolute must-visit on every visit to Fehmarn. A great restaurant, with super nice and loving service, absolutely authentic, delicious and fresh cuisine, and the best location in Burg. Definitely an A1 with * recommendation!!!

Delicious, I have to say, although €5.90 for a non-alcoholic wheat is an absolute rip-off!! Really a shame...
