Ristorante Don Camillo e Peppone in Fehmarn

The food itself was great. Friendly service, chic ambiance, good taste, and room for improvement. What bothered me a lot: I was there with my two kids. I didn't want to eat anything myself, but I was happy to fulfill my kids' wishes. When I ordered two pizzas for the kids, I was told I had to order something too. (Three 0.3l juices for €4.80 each apparently aren't enough profit.) But I wasn't allowed to have a children's plate either... so I had to order an adult plate. I've known the restaurant for years and have heard a few strange arguments. What I find very disappointing, however, is that despite the incredibly high number of customers, they have to squeeze another €10 out of the customer, after they've already had drinks. So unnecessary...

Ate here for the first time. The staff was very friendly. Great seating, and the pizza was incredibly delicious. We'll definitely come again.

We were quite disappointed. The pizza base was wobbly and tasted very plain, even though it was the pizza special. My wife and daughter's tortellini in cream sauce tasted of nothing. So the only Italian thing was the name. Sorry, tourist fodder.

I had the zander with fresh vegetables from the specials menu; it was wonderfully delicious. The zander was cooked to perfection, the crust was as crusts should be: crispy and well-seasoned. The vegetables were also cooked to perfection and very tasty. We'll definitely be back!

The food was too spicy for one child. When we politely pointed this out, the waiter became very rude and rude. When we were rude in return, we were told why we were so rude. Never again. After that encounter.

Yesterday, I ate the most delicious pizza (tuna/onion) I've ever eaten here. - I've eaten a lot of pizzas :-)

Since my original post wasn't uploaded here, I'll keep it short and sweet. It was just bad!

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We ordered pizza. The peppers weren't fresh, but from a jar. This made the pizza taste sour because the juice from the sour peppers had soaked into the dough. We removed the peppers from the pizza, and the pizza was soggy overall. When we were asked if we enjoyed it, we explained the problem. They didn't address it, just offered a small apology, and that was it. In a pizzeria, we assumed that fresh ingredients would be used. We won't be back. The way we were treated as guests was very disappointing: we paid full price, but no offer or consideration was made.

Good service and good location, but unluckily I made wrong choice on pizza

Sensational. We've eaten at every other "Italian" restaurant on the island several times. Today (unfortunately, only today) was our first time at Don Camillo. From now on, it's "our" Italian restaurant. Very friendly, super attentive service. I'm really critical, but I don't understand where some of the nasty reviews come from. High praise to Don Camillo... Keep it up!!!

This wasn't our first time there, and we're always impressed. It's a bit noisy inside, which is simply because the place is usually packed. The food is delicious, the staff friendly and attentive, and the grappa, which, by the way, isn't on the menu, is fantastic.

Again and again. Very friendly staff. Prices are upper mid-range. A bottle of Hefe Weissbier costs €6.50.

Real Italian Ristorante, with a lovely flair and fantastic employees. The pizza is made in sight where kids and of course grownups can watch pizza being made. Great and tastey food. We come here every year when we are on Fehmarn for vacation. Never regret coming. Maybe also very important to mention with a peanut allergic kid, they took their time to explain and find out what our kid can eat and if anything contains traces of peanut. Love this place.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times now while on Fehmarn! Every time, it's simply fantastic! The food alone makes the trip to Fehmarn worthwhile!

We were very disappointed with our visit to this pizzeria. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for our pizza and spaghetti. Meanwhile, other guests who had arrived significantly later than us were already being served, eating, and paying. We politely addressed the issue three times, but instead of receiving any understanding or explanation, we were treated rudely and condescendingly the last time. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in the restaurant industry. Unfortunately, we can't fairly evaluate the food and atmosphere, as the frustration of the long wait and the disrespectful tone completely ruined the evening. We will definitely not visit this pizzeria again.

I know this place because I worked in the kitchen as a cook's assistant in the summer of 1983. There were Pancrazio and Giovanna, two wonderful people. The cook's name was Rocca, I remember the pizza chef Piero. Mario Durante was there too. Damiano and Antonio were too young to remember. It was a beautiful experience that I still remember fondly today.

Lovely pizzeria with a very pleasant atmosphere and good food. My companion really enjoyed the gluten-free pizza. There were a few minor things that weren't so good, but nothing worth mentioning. I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back anytime.

We ordered pizza and were very satisfied. The crust was crispy, but not too hard. The service was excellent 👍🏼, and the wait time was hard to beat. We waited less than 15 minutes after ordering to get our food.

Vores sædvanlige sted havde lukket, så derfor skulle vi finde et andet sted. De andre anmeldelser svingede meget, men vi valgte 2 forskellige pizzaer, de var begge rigtig gode, dog er fortolkningen af quattro stagioni ikke helt som normalt, men god dej og fin afbagning.

Regular customer for over 6 years. From the ambience to the staff and of course the food, I can only give it the best possible rating. And that after many visits whether at Easter, Christmas or in the middle of the season. Keep it up! My favorite restaurant on Fehmarn!

Unfortunately, an absolute rip-off. On New Year's Eve the prices were almost doubled and without any announcement or supporting program. Pizzas start at just under 20 euros and bruscetta, the easiest and cheapest starter to prepare, costs 17 euros! Definitely not! Insolence and rip-off...

We ate at the pizzaria in 2023 and were pleasantly surprised that it was really tasty. This year we reserved a table for New Year's Eve, unfortunately the food has nothing to do with what it was a year ago. Bruschetta was served carelessly on pizza-like dough. For 17 euros, three greasy, carelessly served pizza wedges with a tomato, olive and onion mixture, which had somehow been in the pot all day. The pizza for 19 euros could also be sold as a salad. Olives that were ordered separately were so dried out, as if they had been sitting without liquid for a week. Unfortunately we left this restaurant hungry and completely disappointed. It's a shame that this restaurant has declined so much in just a year. We were looking forward to a lovely evening. We left the restaurant hungry

Reserved for New Year's Eve, table was not reserved there as previously agreed. Staff unfriendly and also the absolute impudence of DOUBLE PRICES for food and drinks on New Year's Eve. Pizza started at 23 euros. Impudence!!!

Super lecker mit toller Atmosphäre und zivilen Preisen. Aufmerksames Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen. Aber Tischreservierung erforderlich weil sehr gut besucht.

Tried another Italian today, unfortunately not more than average. Bruschetta was very heavy on oregano, so no other flavor stood a chance. The pizzas came off the tray. Dough was almost tasteless and only a little crispy on the edge, the rest was very similar to a pancake and was very tough. We won't get lost here again.

A nice looking restaurant in Burg on Fehmarn. We were able to have lunch there without a reservation. For voracious children you have to take an adult dish. The food was brought quickly and was very tasty. The only thing that bothered us was the open door at the entrance, which made it very drafty. Otherwise we were satisfied.

If you want delicious Italian food, you're in good hands here. The pizzas are absolutely delicious and full of value for money. There are also other dishes such as meat, fish and classic pasta. The portions of the dishes are also sufficient. About the ambience: Very cozy atmosphere, inviting and not too crowded with decoration. The staff was super friendly and the orders were taken quickly and brought to the table in a short time. We would eat there again any time we are here. Thank you for the nice evening.

We were there for 2 days. It was very cozy in the restaurant, unfortunately I can only give 5 points for the food as well as for the chef and all the staff. I can only recommend everyone who is here to visit the restaurant as it is delicious and great value for money. We got a place straight away very nice and courteous service and super tasty. I can recommend the "Diavola" pizza, the level of spiciness is pleasant and with the salami and garlic it's a complete treat. The dough is soft and, contrary to other comments, easy to cut and tasty. Always worth a visit!!!
