Borgo Antico Italiano Restaurant in Fehmarn

The food was top-notch as always. Unfortunately, the service has declined significantly. Last year, someone from the service department regularly came to the table to ask if we needed more drinks or if everything was OK. This time, hardly any staff were seen. Please improve your customer service, especially outside.

Very well run restaurant with consistently attentive staff!

As a vegan, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. While there are five vegan dishes to choose from, three of them are essentially all based on the same ingredient: antipasti. These include regular antipasti, bruschetta with antipasti, and a pizza – also with antipasti. Unfortunately, the dishes weren't particularly tasty, especially considering the rather high prices. The food was disappointing and didn't meet expectations at all. On the positive side, however, the service deserves special mention: The waiters were consistently friendly and attentive, and the dishes were served promptly. Vegans should either opt for a simple pizza without cheese – or, if in doubt, choose another restaurant.

I haven't found a better Italian restaurant in Germany. The staff, food, and atmosphere are exceptionally good.

Exquisite truffle pasta, beautifully presented and served with love. Excellent wines and a tasteful interior. I definitely recommend this place to guests who appreciate quality.

We picked up pizza there. The food was ready in record time. The atmosphere was very nice. The service was super friendly. The pizzas were excellent. In our opinion, the crust was very good. Everything was delicious, and we'll go back. Pizza the next day is still a great snack.

Every year when we're on Fehmarn, we go to this restaurant. We were there again yesterday for my birthday, and it was fantastic again. The food is delicious, and the service is very attentive and friendly. They often ask if the food is tasty, if everything is OK, and if you'd like anything else. We really enjoy coming here.

Highly recommended! We spontaneously stopped by for lunch with our child, baby, and dog. We had two pasta dishes and a kids' pizza. Everything was soooo delicious! The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive. They warmed up the porridge we brought with us for our baby. When clearing our plates, they even asked if the bowl and baby spoon we brought with us needed to be washed. We would eat here again anytime.

Easy online reservation, friendly welcome. They even accommodated our request for a corner seat for our dog, including a water bowl. Very attentive service. Several specially designated vegan dishes are on the menu. The vegan pizza, thankfully, was made without any cheese substitutes and was very creative and, above all, delicious. A definite recommendation!

Ciao bella, what a pizza! This is true craftsmanship, the dough is a symphony Beethoven couldn't have done better. A wafer-thin base with a delicious sauce, carefully selected ingredients, and a crispy, fluffy crust that's not dry at all. This is true love!

The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable. The main courses were very good. The salad was rather unappealingly presented, and the dressing was not good. The salad contained whole, uncut tomatoes and large, uncut pieces of iceberg lettuce.

We were there for lunch and had chosen the restaurant based on the positive reviews. Overall, these reviews were confirmed. We received excellent service and the food was delicious. The kids were treated well and felt like kids. A successful lunch.

The vegetarian pizza was very disappointing. Contrary to the menu description, the vegetables weren't fresh. The side salad was absolutely tasteless. It consisted mainly of iceberg lettuce, a cocktail tomato, a slice of cucumber, and a long, thin slice of carrot.

Nothing is left to be desired here. Everything is just right; even with a large dog, you'll receive a warm welcome and be seated with care. The food is delicious and stands out pleasantly from the crowd of other Italian restaurants. We've been there several times with several people, and it rounded off our vacation in style. Highly recommended! Reservations are advisable, but can sometimes be arranged at short notice.

Borgo Antico is an Italian restaurant 🇮🇹 that you can't miss if you're on Fehmarn Island 🇩🇪 The quality of their dishes 🍽️ and the attentive service of their staff 🧑‍🍳 will make for an excellent experience. I've tried a salmon 🐠 with a pistachio and sesame crust and an incredible aioli sauce ☺️ there. In addition to their pastas 🍝 and pizzas 🍕 with a great variety and a very complete 🍷and 🍺 menu! Above the restaurant they have a hotel, a boutique albergo from the late 1800s, in the heart of the historic center. If you come to the island 🏖️ I recommend it 💯

I thought the pizza was Neapolitan, but the crust was more "standard." Still, it was delicious. Top-notch service!

The open Montepulciano is OK. The homemade noodles are not that great. You have quite a lot of dough in your mouth. The sauce consisted mainly of mushrooms, with a few strips of meat sandwiched between them. I don't care that maybe it wasn't the promised 100 g of meat - you're also warned that the meat is braised. Ultimately nonsense. It's poorly roasted beef in a banal cream sauce with endless amounts of mushrooms.

Very friendly and customer-oriented staff coupled with excellent food. I asked for carbonara even though it wasn't on the menu. A very sensational carbonara was served. All in all very, very good and definitely recommended. The bruscetta at the front was a dream in terms of taste and appearance.

Authentic Italian with homemade pasta and perfect pizza. First of all, the vegetarian antipasti and the pasta with strips of beef and mushrooms and the “real” pizza. A great atmosphere and attentive staff. Again and again 👍🏻

We eat at this restaurant regularly or pick up these super delicious pizzas to eat at home! The ingredients are very fresh, the dish creations are exceptional and really beautifully presented. We have tried many different foods and found them all to be excellent! My absolute favorite are the pizzas - Pizza del Borgo is perfect! My husband loves the pasta! The staff seems extremely friendly and accommodating! An absolute recommendation for locals and vacationers!

It has been an absolute must on every Fehmarn holiday for years. Nice service and great food at a good price-performance ratio. Special requests are never a problem and with a little advance notice you can, for example, simply pre-order a risotto that is not actually on the menu. Great, the chef loves his work!

We really liked it. My husband finally got to eat a spicy pizza just as it was propagated according to the map. His original comment: "It's the best pizza I've ever eaten!" Our two children agreed with him and were also thrilled. My spaghetti also tasted excellent. I would also particularly like to highlight the service, the waiter was always courteous and tried hard, but not too intrusive, but always there, when you needed it. Absolutely recommended, Some restaurants can learn something from this! We would like to come back next year.

We came across the restaurant because it has a good selection of vegetarian dishes, making it a rarity on Fehmarn. A great ambience and very attentive service which led to a great evening. The highlight was the food. The starter (caprese) was very tasty and visually very appealing. Fresh bread was served, which was of very good fresh quality. The pizzas for the main course were the best pizzas we have ever eaten. For dessert, the homemade pana cotta did NOT disappoint and the Nutella pizza was also to die for. The whole thing for an amazing price-performance ratio. We were THRILLED and can only say: it was the best Italian food we have ever eaten!

Everything is great... Go because it's worth it! Pizza was very tasty (-great dough-), pasta was exceptionally good (-of course fresh-) and starter (-bruscetta-) was to “go for”!! The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable! We'll go back and hope that the dessert(s) will still fit in :-)

Very friendly, unobtrusive and competent staff!

We started the evening with a Prosecco. Unfortunately it was ice cold and without any carbonation. Probably not sold often! My glass of red wine was also far too cold. Starter "Bruschetta on toasted bread" - although the bread was barely toasted. When I ordered my "Rumpsteak Al Pepe Nero" I was asked how I would like it grilled. I chose "medium/well - no longer bloody". I was served a steak that was fried to medium rare and was still very rare. It had to go on the grill again and then it was okay. The extra vegetable side dish left many wishes unfulfilled. The "Salmone in Costa" that my wife ordered was very tasty. Unfortunately, the advertising slogan “We are the elite” is a long way away. The restaurant was comfortably furnished and the tables were not too close together. Given the price level, we would have expected better quality.

We had different meals and all of the meals were top notch, from pasta to overpackaged pasta to pizzas. Ordering a pizza half and half wasn't a problem either. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. Update, we went out to eat again yesterday. Everything tasted fine. I ordered a russ. Wheat with Sprite. I also got a 0.5 soot. But a Sprite and a Wheat were charged for over €9, which really annoyed me... not like that.

The staff was nice nonetheless. ..... Unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all. First we got an Aperol with about 80 percent ice cubes. After complaining, we were given a smaller glass with only 60-70% ice left.🙈 At the same time, our ASP justified himself by saying that he had completed special training in connection with cocktails and knew exactly what our order should look like. The pizza was soggy and therefore not exactly a highlight. I have a hard time with negative reviews, but it wasn't a nice visit to the restaurant... it's a shame!! The reaction in response to my objective report of my experience combined with the desperate attempt to insult speak for itself. Kind regards!

This year we “only” picked up food. It was ready on time and still hot. Just as delicious as if we had eaten there. In my opinion the prices are justified as the quality (at least of our food) was really good! Pizza was a bit thin for us, but still tasted TOP! Recommended on every level! 👌
