Sorry, but turning up for dinner in the evening, literally shivering from the cold and having to get a blanket is just not possible. The heating had failed, but the place opened anyway... a no go. You should actually get the money for the meal refunded for staying and not leaving the restaurant immediately.

Best pizza provider in Dessau. Extras extremely expensive. It's annoying when extras are hard to find. Totally disappointing, almost a scam. Pissed off.

Outrageously expensive. Half a portion cost one euro less. Didn't make it, had it packed. One euro for the packaging 😢 so paid for the full portion. Hot drinks lukewarm. Haven't been there for ages. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten any better.

The food was very good, but it also came at a price. However, this is too high for mineral water. The service as a whole was very friendly and quick, which we really liked, as it naturally contributes to a successful evening. The ambience is a little old, but overall we enjoyed the evening in the Castello.

Our favorite Italian. The owner and her team make every effort to make the guests feel comfortable there. Regardless of whether it's a wine or food recommendation, it's a hit every time. The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the portions are large. Homemade bread, fresh ingredients prepared with love. If the weather permits, you can also sit outside. Parking spaces right in front of the door. So far, all the friends we have taken to this charming restaurant have loved it. Very high level, a little hidden, but really worth a visit!

Very tasty pizza at a top price-performance ratio. The waiter was one of the friendliest servers I've ever met. He also took time for children and was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's also nice to sit in small niches in the restaurant. When we are in Dessau again we will visit the Ristorante Castello again.

Our table was beautifully set for a celebration. The service was nice and friendly. Came later but less frequently as it was very busy. The food was good, but the selection was limited. No desserts.

The service was outstanding. The pizza had a slightly crispy thin base and basil was not just a bulky decoration but part of the taste concept. The ambience was also very appealing. The good and friendly advice seemed very sincere and humorous without being too intrusive.

Leider werden die Pizzas nur in sehr großer Ausführung angeboten. Entsprechend teuer. Warum gibt es nicht zwei Größen, so dass man auch noch ein Dessert schafft?

Live and let live. Food was very good. Drinks way too overpriced. I thought that would be normal now after the tax increase, but almost exclusively here every 0.5 liter of drinks now costs 6.50 euros. No matter if cola or beer or or. I have to say that is not justified and until that changes again I unfortunately won't be coming back.

We were there with 4 guests and a child. Simply a wonderful evening with good food, great drinks and top service. We will definitely be back and look forward to many wonderful evenings.

Since we are not from Dessau, we were here for the first time today. We had reserved and that was a good thing. You sit in such small niches, each a little separate. We really liked that. The food was very tasty. The wine is a bit too expensive at 8.70 euros a glass. We'll still come back. Have already reserved.

Das Essen war prima, sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ordered the special, some kind of roast in mushroom sauce. Overcooked and dry meat, gritty mushrooms felt like they had sand in them. Overall flavor okay though a bit bland. My friends had pasta and praised it as excellent.

Obwohl wir auf der Durchreise in Dessau waren sind wir empfangen und bedient worden als wären wir Stammgäste. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Besonders der Salat hat uns sehr, sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Restaurant ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

Wir haben mittlerweile Aufläufe, Pizza, Nudeln und auch mehrere andere Gerichte getestet und waren jedes Mal wunschlos glücklich. Dazu die mit Abstand beste Calzone in Oldenburg. Natürlich hat die Bestellung mal hier und da länger gedauert aber die Qualität der verwendeten Zutaten und die Zubereitung waren dafür immer Top. Dazu faire Preise und selbst bei voller Besetzung nettes Personal. Immer wieder gerne.

Glückauf, Ich bin zufällig durch Google Suche bei dieser Pizzeria gelandet und war rundum zufrieden. Der Service war super freundlich, die Pizza (Nr 97) war Mega lecker und ich hatte ordentlich damit zu tun den Teller leer zu bekommen. Wenn ich zufällig nochmal nach Dessau komme, werde ich auf jeden Fall dort wieder zum Essen gehen. Zum Schluss wurde ich noch von der Bedienung mit einem Lächeln und Handschlag verabschiedet.

Ich muss sagen, es ist ein klasse Restaurant, die Kellnerin sind sehr nett und vor allem auch kinderlieb, das Essen ist der Wahnsinn, also wirklich absolut lecker. Ich empfehle jeden der eine leckere Pizza essen will, muss hier herkommen. Werde definitiv jetzt öfter dort essen gehen.

Sehr gutes und leckeres Essen. Die Bedienung war schnell, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit...immer einen netten Spruch auf den Lippen...vielen Dank dafür. Getränke lagen leicht über dem Durchschnittspreis von Dessau...dennoch alles sehr empfehlenswert.

Die Salami und der Schinken darauf - viel zu dick geschnitten. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass in der Küche wirklich ein Italiener stand. Wegen der netten Mitarbeiterinnen würden wir glatt morgen Abend wieder kommen. Aber das Essen hält und davon ab. Mal sehen, wo es uns hin verschlagen wird 🍀

Das Rumpsteak "Bestica alla Castello" war sehr, sehr lecker...großes Lob ans Küchenteam.

Obwohl die Küche quasi schon geschlossen war, haben wir noch was bekommen - nicht nur super lecker, sondern auch mit sehr sehr netten Service! tiptop!

Eins vorweg. Das Essen ist mega lecker und echt zu empfehlen. Definitiv 10 Sterne wert! Beim bezahlen ist uns dann doch fast die Kinnlade runter gefallen. Die Getränkepreise sind der Hammer. 8,20 Euro für 0,75 l wasserflasche!!! Ist das Wasser mit Gold verziert? Schade. Zu solchen hohen Getränkepreisen sind wir nicht mehr bereit hier essen zu gehen. Had dinner here because it was close to our hotel. What an amazing find. Best Italian food we've had outside of Italy. Ravioli was incredible, goulash soup beyond belief and the two spaghetti dishes our party had were excellent. Top that off with friendly staff and great wine and beer and it was tops.

Nach unserem letzten Besuch in der letzten Woche war ich sehr enttäuscht. Wir hatten uns für das Castello entschieden, weil es Montags geöffnet hat. Wir haben uns dort immer wohlgefühlt und die Preise waren teuer, das stimmt, aber dafür hat alles gestimmt. Nun saßen wir an einem Tisch draußen, der in der Mitte aufgeqollen war, so das man nichts hinstellen konnte. Den Tisch welchen wir eigentlich wollten, der wurde uns verwehrt, weil Montag Abend 20:30 Uhr ja spontan noch eine größere Gruppe kommen könnte. Wohl eher unwahrscheinlich, dass hätte man anders lösen können 😏. Die Möbel draußen machen einen abgenutzen Eindruck, das geht besser. Das Personal war an dem Tag auch nicht gut drauf, wenn man nach den Gesichtern urteilen durfte. Außerdem machte Unsere Bedienung an dem Tag einen ungepflegten Eindruck. Insgesamt finde ich 6,10 € für eine 0,5 L Cola mittlerweile auch völlig daneben. Der gemischte Vorspeisenteller (den essen wir immer) war dieses Mal auch kleiner und lieblos hergestellt. Keine Ahnung was los war, aber bis auf weiteres werden wir erstmal nicht wieder kommen. Man sollte preislich bedenken das wir uns in Dessau befinden und nicht in Leipzig, Hannover, Berlin oder Hamburg. Schade, aber da gebe ich mein Geld lieber woanders aus.

Das Essen und der Service waren gewohnt sehr gut. Über das Preisniveau habe ich mich sehr gewundert. Es ist sehr teuer geworden.

Das Castello ist einfach ein tolles Restaurant mit einer Atmosphäre, die seinesgleichen sucht. Das Essen ist ein Gaumenschmaus und die Bedienung überaus freundlich. Ich komme ganz sicher wieder.

There is very little authentic Italian about this place. That starts with the little accommodating German staff who barely apologised for wrong dish being served to the lack of atmosphere. Three of the five of us had pizza. All three were disappointing. My piazza Diavolo was soggy. The salami looked and tasted like from Aldi. Another friend had a pizza with spinach and garlic. It was bland without the slightest hint of garlic. At a premium price of 14 Euro there is no value for money. Same applies to the price of drinks. A 0.5l Bitburger costs 6.50 Euro. That is more expensive than in our home town Dublin, which is known for its expensive drinks. In a Place like Dessau this is simply not justified. The local Greek restaurant provides much better food, a lovely atmosphere and is only 200m away charges 5 Euro. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Ristorante Castello is a rustically restaurant which serves modern and delicious dishes. The stuff was friendly and helped us with the choices of dishes. Even though I did not expect some prices to be that high. That day I did not want to eat pasta or pizza and rather wanted to go for fish or meat. Unfortunately the prices for all fish and meat dishes were more than 20€, so I chose Salat with tuna and ham. For the kitchen it wasn’t a problem to change the ham with more tuna and overall the salat was a huge portion and super delicious. I recommend taking the mustard dressing. My family mostly took pasta dishes which were delicious. I need to admit that the menu with the recommended dishes included delicious sounding dishes, especially because of the saisonal ingredients. My parents shared a big pizza, which had lots of cheese and therefore was too fatty in our view. They could not finish it. But the main point why I am giving the 3/5 stars are the prices. We needed to order a 0.75L water for literally 8.20€ which it extremely overprices considering that you can order a single bottle online for 1.30€. That is the only bottle of water you can order. I went to the bathroom and as the restaurant, it is old and has one toilet and two pissoirs in the same room which you can lock. That was just weird and I hope they will renovate the bathroom soon. The stuff and kitchen made a good job, thanks for the evening.

Eine sehr Leckere Sache. Man sollte sich Zeit lassen und in einem schönen Ambiente das Essen genießen. Die Küche, wie auch der Service sind klasse. Alles in allem einperfeckter Abend.
