Ristorante Castello in Dessau-Roßlau

Das Ambiente ist ganz nett, die Kellner tun, was sie können, aber viel zu schwach besetzt. Und zum Thema Essen: die Qualität variiert stark zwischen den Gerichten.. die Lasagne sah aus, wie tiefkühlfertig und schmeckte auch so. Die Tortellini waren gut, die Salamipizza war mit diesen großen Billigsalamischeiben belegt. Es war nicht super mies aber ich hatte mir mehr erhofft..

Wir waren heute nach sehr langer Zeit mal wieder hier essen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Obwohl wir heute mit unseren zwei Kindern da waren, wurden wir herzlich empfangen und haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht – von Malbüchern für die Kinder bis hin zu kostenlosen Hygieneartikeln auf der Damentoilette. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Mein Mann hatte die Pizza Diavolo. Sie war ihm heute leider deutlich zu scharf, sodass er nach wenigen Bissen nicht weiteressen konnte. Besonders positiv überrascht hat uns, dass der Kellner von sich aus darauf bestand, ihm kostenlos eine neue, mildere Pizza zu bringen. Das ist heutzutage wirklich nicht selbstverständlich und zeigt, wie wichtig hier die Zufriedenheit der Gäste ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und können das Restaurant weiterempfehlen!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Bedingung war sehr freundlich und für den Kleinen wurde ein Malbuch und Stifte gereicht. Sehr gerne wieder.

Leckere große Portionen: wir entschieden uns, eine Pizza Speciale zu teilen und einen großen Salat. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr nette Atmosphäre, faire Preise. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Bei jedem Besuch in Dessau, komme ich seit Jahren auch einmal immer wieder ins Castello, am alten "Quietscheck". So hieß es bei uns immer, weil man das Qietschen der Straßenbahn bei entsprechender Widrichtung bis nach Dessau-Siedlung hörte. Was sagt es bereits, wenn man immer wieder Gast ist? Es muss gut sein. Deshalb wird es Zeit für eine Rezession: Das Ambiente ist gemütlich. Ich werde immer sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und das Essen ist einfach lecker. Die Rezession ausgerechnet heute, weil ich gestern einmal etwas anderes probiert habe: Calzone. Die ist ansich ja nichts besonderes. Bisher kannte ich die Füllung immer nur mit Schinken und Salami. -> Hier gab es Thunfisch & Hack. Das finde ich schon besonders. Und es war mega lecker. Ungelogen, eine der besten Calzonen, die ich je gegessen habe. Dabei sah sie auf dem Teller am Anfang regelrecht klein aus, als sie serviert wurde. Ich dachte schon an eine Nachspeise. Aber weit gefehlt. Was für ein Irrtum. Ich war nahe am Platzen. Dazu noch ein trockener Rotwein und ich war für den Abend glücklich. Ich komme wieder.

Ein sehr angenehmes italienisches Restaurant. Es stimmt einfach alles: Service, Atmosphäre, Qualität der Speisen, exzellenter Service und eine freundliche Stimmung. Kurz gesagt: erstklassig.

Thema: Preis-Leistung leider nicht mehr gerechtfertigt ​Wir waren früher gerne hier, aber leider hat sich die Qualität in letzter Zeit stark verändert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt für uns einfach nicht mehr zusammen. ​Die Pizzen sind mittlerweile sehr teuer geworden (teils knapp 20 €), was man bei einer herausragenden Qualität vielleicht noch akzeptieren würde. Allerdings erinnert das Produkt kaum noch an eine traditionelle Pizza; es wirkt eher wie ein belegtes Brot mit Zutaten als wie eine authentische, italienische Pizza. Für uns war das leider der letzte Besuch, da es in Dessau Alternativen gibt, bei denen das Gesamtpaket besser stimmt.

Zwiespältig. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist sehr gelungen, durch die Zwischenwände ist auch der Lärm gut eingrenzbar. Der Service ist gut und freundlich. Nur das Essen entspricht nicht dem Preis und erfüllt zumindest bei unseren Besuch die Erwartungen überhaupt nicht. Spaghetti Carbonara zeichnet sich nicht durch die Verteilung von ganzen Schinken-Stücken aus, sondern eigentlich sollten diese klein gewürfelt sein. Auch die Sahne-Soße war nicht gelungen und die anschließenden nächtlichen Bauchschmerzen dem geschuldet. Und AglioOlio könnte auch ein Messer zum kleinschneiden der Zutaten gut vertragen. Schade also, aber die Küche macht das Bemühen aller zunichte.

Absolut faire Preise für diese hervorragende Qualität.

Pizza super lecker, guter Wein und ein wirklich toller Service. Danke an das Team. Aber wir saßen hinten in der Ecke und da stehen die Tische einfach viel zu eng. Ruhige Gespräche sind quasi nicht möglich, da man jedes Wort vom Nachbartisch hört und umgekehrt natürlich ebenso. Das fand ich schon sehr unangenehm.

Super Service, leckeres Essen und Getränke. Es war nur etwas kalt weil wir direkt am Eingang gesessen haben. Ansonsten alles TOP.

UPDATE 01/26 Waren zwischen den Jahren im Castello. Was soll ich sagen. Hat stark bachgelassen - Keine ordentlichen Salz/Pfefferstreuer nur diese kleinen durchsichtigen Dinger - Service nicht ok. Nicht mal die leere Olivenölflasche wird bemerkt - kalter Rotwein aus dem Keller, wurden nicht mal gefragt ob wir dann einen anderen nehmen wollen - angesprochene Kritik wird gleich persönlich genommen - Trotz Reservierung Platz an der Tür. Es war kalt. Es waren nicht mal im hinteren Bereich alle Tidche für 2 Personen belegt, kann der Service da nicht anbieten nach "hinten" zu rutschen wo es nicht so kalt ist? Bei den Preisen erwarte ich mehr. Ich bin gerne bereit mein Geld auszugeben, aber dann erwarte ich mehr. Werden vorerst dort nicht mehr essen gehen Eins vorweg. Das Essen ist mega lecker und echt zu empfehlen. Definitiv 10 Sterne wert! Beim bezahlen ist uns dann doch fast die Kinnlade runter gefallen. Die Getränkepreise sind der Hammer. 8,20 Euro für 0,75 l wasserflasche!!! Ist das Wasser mit Gold verziert? Schade. Zu solchen hohen Getränkepreisen sind wir nicht mehr bereit hier essen zu gehen. Viel zu teuer und zu wenig für den Preis. Pizza Mozarella (ca. 30 cm Durchmesser für 20 €!) war viel zu scharf und hat Form und Geschmack einer Großmarkt-Tiefkühlpizza.

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern hier essen. Wir würden super freundlich empfangen und bedient. Ich habe lange nicht so einen guten Service erlebt. Großes Kompliment dafür. Das Essen war natürlich auch sehr sehr lecker 😃

Csstello used to be a good restaurant; now: exorbitant prices, poor selection (only three open red wines), unprofessional service, and an unpleasant atmosphere (cold dining room, cheap tin cutlery like something you'd find in the military, and the cheapest furnishings). It's clear: they want the customer to spend as much money as possible; whether they're satisfied is of secondary importance. Never again.

They're really good at pasta, but they still need to work on their pizza 😔 way too expensive for what ends up on it!!! 👎🏼👎🏼

What has become of the wonderful Castello...? Prices are completely exorbitant... and the quality of the food and service (we had only one waitress) was absolutely abysmal... We won't be coming back... we'd much rather go to the tea house!

It was my first time there, and I quite liked the atmosphere. Very rustic but charming. I found it a bit cold inside. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any tables for larger groups. The service was okay, friendly. We spent about 3.5 hours there, and someone came by every now and then to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Not often, but someone did come. For a starter, I had the garlic paninis, which were delicious! For my main course, I had the tortellini with Parma ham and chanterelles. A good portion that I could barely finish. However, I felt unwell after the meal. I had stomach cramps and it felt heavy in my stomach. My partner had a salami pizza, and the same thing happened. He also had stomach pains after eating. In my opinion, it's really annoying and a shame! I find the prices there very high, and I don't want to pay for a stomachache… The pasta cost me €22, and the salami pizza with mushrooms €17 (!!). The pizza was more like an American pizza with thick crust. All in all, I'd give it 2.5 to 3 stars and might try a different Italian restaurant next time. What a shame! :(

Our Christmas party at Ristorante Castello – very disappointing Our department had deliberately chosen the separate room at Ristorante Castello on Quietscheck for our Christmas party, hoping to gather in a quiet setting away from the main restaurant. Our disappointment was all the greater when we discovered that the room was neither cozy nor decorated for Christmas and bore no resemblance whatsoever to the ambiance so attractively presented in the advertising as "a little piece of Italy in the heart of Dessau." The room felt bare and uninviting, and – even more seriously – it was far too cold. A small heater was present and did get hot, but it was clearly incapable of adequately warming the room. Many of us were freezing all evening, so hot lemon drinks practically became our main beverage. Since the food was carried from the main restaurant into the side room, the constant opening of the door created a draft, which further exacerbated the cold. The technical issues were also problematic: the music kept cutting out. We pointed this out to the waitstaff several times, but only received the response that the problem was known – apparently, it even occurs regularly in the main restaurant. They tried to restart the music repeatedly, but each time it started again from the beginning, further detracting from the overall experience. All in all, this evening unfortunately fell far short of our expectations. Due to the unpleasant circumstances, we had to cut the celebration short after about two hours. We will not be considering Ristorante Castello for future Christmas parties – and after this experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. The quality of the food was good. It's a real shame – it could have been so much better.

Today we were in the mood for pizza, so we spontaneously drove to Ristorante Castello. We hadn't been there for about six years, and back then it was only average. Today we were pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were delicious and of good quality, and the service was attentive and friendly. Thank you, see you soon!

We ordered three dishes, the preparation was excellent, and pickup was easy. Unfortunately, we didn't like the pizza that much, as the base was more bready, like an American pizza. We found the price too high.

Prices for food and drinks were rather expensive. The pizza—I had prosciutto parma—was rather average. The service was more outside for smoking than at the table, and I had to ask for cutlery.

We discovered this great restaurant while passing through. The decor was very cozy and appealing. We went there with our 7-year-old child, and the portions were simply amazing. Very, very tasty and the service was friendly. We'll definitely be back.

I'd like to preface this by saying that we're not easy customers for an Italian restaurant, as my wife is allergic to garlic. We mentioned this right away when we were given the menu. It wasn't a big problem when choosing starters. Only the main course developed into a minor drama. When we asked which dishes could be prepared without garlic, the waitress mentioned "pizza." When she returned from the kitchen, she replied that it wasn't possible. This surprised us greatly. But we asked the kitchen again to clarify what was possible (...and we heard from the kitchen, "We're an Italian restaurant after all..."), so we ended up with oven-baked pasta with cream sauce and cheese. Now I'm asking myself: Why can't a restaurant make tomato sauce without garlic? For pasta or pizza? Are all the sauces already made and/or come from outside? Why can't you boil a few tomatoes into a sauce? The restaurant wasn't so busy that the extra effort wouldn't have been feasible. It ultimately gets two stars because one of the servers at least brought us an espresso on the house despite the problems with our order.

For a spontaneous visit to the establishment; a very friendly welcome and service, the food was delicious 😋 and served quickly. I'm surprised the restaurant isn't more busy. But that's fine, we found a good spot. We will be happy to recommend you and will be back soon. Uwe Kreiseler and his wife

A spontaneous evening for two, super friendly service, and our special request for the carbonara prepared traditionally was no problem. In short, a great evening, incredibly delicious food: burrata, bruschetta for starters, and salami pizza and carbonara. The portions were more than sufficient! We'd be happy to go again.

It was fine... little things that could be better. For example, the bread from the salad was already dried. The entrance is almost blocked with a table and is not really recognizable as an entrance. The salad was standard and a bit bland. Small herbs from the predecessor on the tablecloth. Toilets old-fashioned and strange (urinal and toilet next to each other) the whole toilet would have to be for a large store. Six drinks and four standard dishes for €85.

Being taken to a special room on Valentine's Day that is cold and unromantic. Without warning if you reserve in time. We won't be coming back. There are much better restaurants in Dessau. It's amazing that a restaurant can afford something like that these days.

For Valentine's Day I reserved a table for 4 adults and 2 children 3 months ago between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. When we arrived the entire restaurant was empty and beautifully decorated. We were looking forward to a great dinner, but the waiter took us across the terrace to a side room that was nowhere near the standard of the castello. We politely asked if it was possible to dine in the rustic main restaurant, as no table was occupied there yet. Despite arguments, the service worker Mr. Gebhardt did not comply with this request. References to the long reservation time and the limited length of stay were also not heard. I was extremely disappointed that such a beautifully planned evening began like this. We turned our backs on the restaurant and would like to thank the tea house from the bottom of our hearts, which warmly welcomed us and gave us delicious food. When we walked by again two hours later there were still tables available. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Finally open again for lunch! Great selection of high-quality Mediterranean food and drinks. Delicious Italian cuisine, also with a daily menu. Good wines and an automatic espresso at the end ;O)

Unglaublich aber wahr . Wir haben vor einem Vierteljahr einen Tisch bestellt . Als wir ankamen , sollten wir in einem Nebenzimmer platziert werden. Unfreundlicher Empfang . Wir haben Abstand genommen. Nie wieder dieses Restaurant. Wir wurden im Anschluss im Teehäuschen herzlich und ohne Bestellung bedient. Es lagen Welten im Service dazwischen . Nie wieder ins Castello, das steht fest!

Sorry, but turning up for dinner in the evening, literally shivering from the cold and having to get a blanket is just not possible. The heating had failed, but the place opened anyway... a no go. You should actually get the money for the meal refunded for staying and not leaving the restaurant immediately.

Best pizza provider in Dessau. Extras extremely expensive. It's annoying when extras are hard to find. Totally disappointing, almost a scam. Pissed off.

Outrageously expensive. Half a portion cost one euro less. Didn't make it, had it packed. One euro for the packaging 😢 so paid for the full portion. Hot drinks lukewarm. Haven't been there for ages. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten any better.

The food was very good, but it also came at a price. However, this is too high for mineral water. The ambience is a little old, but overall we enjoyed the evening in the Castello.

Our favorite Italian. The owner and her team make every effort to make the guests feel comfortable there. Regardless of whether it's a wine or food recommendation, it's a hit every time. The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the portions are large. Homemade bread, fresh ingredients prepared with love. If the weather permits, you can also sit outside. Parking spaces right in front of the door. So far, all the friends we have taken to this charming restaurant have loved it. Very high level, a little hidden, but really worth a visit!

Very tasty pizza at a top price-performance ratio. The waiter was one of the friendliest servers I've ever met. He also took time for children and was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's also nice to sit in small niches in the restaurant. When we are in Dessau again we will visit the Ristorante Castello again.

Our table was beautifully set for a celebration. The service was nice and friendly. Came later but less frequently as it was very busy. The food was good, but the selection was limited. No desserts.

The service was outstanding. The pizza had a slightly crispy thin base and basil was not just a bulky decoration but part of the taste concept. The ambience was also very appealing. The good and friendly advice seemed very sincere and humorous without being too intrusive.

Leider werden die Pizzas nur in sehr großer Ausführung angeboten. Entsprechend teuer. Warum gibt es nicht zwei Größen, so dass man auch noch ein Dessert schafft?

Live and let live. Food was very good. Drinks way too overpriced. I thought that would be normal now after the tax increase, but almost exclusively here every 0.5 liter of drinks now costs 6.50 euros. No matter if cola or beer or or. I have to say that is not justified and until that changes again I unfortunately won't be coming back.
