Worst pizza in a long time. Small and overpriced. Be careful: you'll be asked casually whether it's spicy or not, garlic or not, with parmesan or without, etc... how nice I thought, but everything is charged extra without being pointed out.

Ordered 2 pizzas as normal. Shock at the bill. Garlic with Pizza Salami was not ordered separately but was charged an additional €1. The pizza parma was great, here “everything” was charged extra... rocket €1.50, parmesan €2.50!, garlic €1, spicy pepperoni €1. A total of €19.50 for a small pizza, mind you. In my opinion, a total rip off.

The rooms are great, rich breakfast, friendly staff, good parking and a five-minute walk to the historic old town. Modernly equipped rooms, large bathroom with bathtub... There are some sights in the old town, but currently overcrowded with tourists due to Oktoberfest. Limburg also only has 36,500 inhabitants.

Unfriendliness has top priority here. Unfortunately, you can't get a pizza that you want to share with two drinks here. We wanted to sit down and were told you can't get a table for the small order. You can get this pizza to take away. An impudence from the old gentleman (waiter).

Our regular restaurant when we go to Limburg. Friendly "boss", absolutely delicious food, and we love the small outdoor area, the terrace. Absolutely recommended!

My room wasn't nice, to park you have to go to the nearby underground car park (old town) which is free. Otherwise quaint house. We weren't at the accommodation to eat but everything looked very tasty 😋, we just didn't want Italian cuisine that day

Biggest catastrophe. The food doesn't taste good. If we wanted to have brokoli instead of peas for a dish then there would be an additional charge of €5. The meat was so white, I don't even want to know how long it was in the freezer. But everything is nicely done with garlic so that you don't get the taste out.

Food good, but if you are with 2 people at peak times. If you sit down at a table for four, you are guaranteed to be allowed to move to a table for two. Turnover can be greeted no matter what. And... card payment not possible, only cash payment. Backwoods! Not only the food has to be right, the rest of it has to be right too... What a shame!!

There were three of us there, 2 adults and a 4 year old boy. And apparently they were the last to be served that evening. Accordingly, the friendliness was more on the same level as we can get behind us. Okay, I want to get off work at some point, no problem. But if you order two dishes for the adults and a robber plate for the four-year-old, as a waiter I don't have to comment on that with mmh. It should seem conceivable that the little one can't make a whole lasagne on his own. Well, we then got children's cutlery, which brought out a little positive things. When we ordered a 0.75 water bottle we were given three goblet glasses. When we pointed out that the little one couldn't really handle it. We were given a glass of juice. Maybe it's too much to ask that you see something like this for yourself. We were still pleasantly surprised when it came to eating. So you can stamp the service on a daily basis. We were happy to be able to sit outside because the interior design was left behind at the beginning of 1991. As for the optics.

Het klantvriendelijksgehalte van deze zaak is nihil! Men levert niet wat besteld is ( bier met sprite in plaats van radler, halve liter die had ik niet besteld, en in plaats van knoflookbrood krijg je een paar stukken pizza met tomaten wat kruiden zonder knoflook, er werd gevraagd of ik balsamico of yoghurt dressing wilde en kreeg vervolgens een plens van beide over de salade) als men vraagt of alles naar wens is en we antwoorden met nee en geven toelichting, dan haalt de bediening de schouders op en loopt weg. Hier ben ik voor het laatst geweest.

We went there twice this week and yes, we will be back. The service is top notch. The location in the middle of the old town is simply beautiful and the food is delicious. Monday we had pizza and spaghetti with seafood. Today lasagna and a salad a la casa. Plus garlic bread. Everything recommended.

Beautiful terrace in the old town. Too bad the boss is dishonest. If you are a tourist and ask for a map in English, the prices are significantly lower than the current prices. There is a huge difference. Example: a Barbera showing €39 was charged €55. Scandalous

Had a delicious meal on a nice terrace in this picturesque place. Quick service. A gnocci with creamy 4-cheese sauce, a good spaghetti frutti di Mare and a nice fresh mixed salad!

Pizza and salad are highly recommended. Terrace with city views invites you to have lunch. Were received very friendly there.

As we passed by, the external impression invited us to linger. So ordered a cappuccino and an espresso doppio. The cappuchino was appropriate for an Italian-run restaurant, the espresso was disappointing (it was more of a thin coffee and hardly any aroma and served without the obligatory glass of water). When I asked (probably a communication problem) I was given a glass of sparkling water with ice and lemon.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in diesem Restaurant, weil es einladend aussah. Der Chef brachte uns die Speisekarte und wirkte dabei schon überheblich, arrogant und selbstherrlich. Der jüngere Kellner, der uns danach bediente, war freundlich. Wir bestellten Nudeln, Brot gab es nur gegen Berechnung, wir verzichteten. Der gewünschte Parmesan wurde mit 5 € (!) zusätzlich berechnet. Die Qualität des Essens war gut. Wir werden dieses Restaurant aufgrund der Überheblichkeit des Chefs nicht mehr besuchen.

The food was perfectly fine and tasty, but the unfriendliness of the service was unbelievable. That day I met many nice and friendly people, but in this pizzeria both service was impossible, so we lost the fun of eating. Impossible!!!!

Great location in the middle of old town. Friendly staff and extraordinary breakfast. Our room was quite spacious and nice. This is an old building and the main staircase is quite steep. Since you are in the middle of the old town expect some sounds throughout the night. Everything is just a short walk from here. Parking is convenient in Altstadt parking garage.

We spent one night there. To be honest, I wasn't that convinced when I arrived. But you shouldn't always trust the first impression. After we moved into the room, we noticed that the toilet didn't flush properly and I thought the first impression was confirmed. But the gentleman at the reception came up and took care of it. From that moment on I was thrilled. Not because of the ambience because I thought that was great from the start. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of it all instead of just there. Great. We didn't eat there. I can't say anything about the food. I slept very well. Great beds. We had breakfast, what can I say. Simply a great, super delicious breakfast. There was no buffet but a sausage plate with all sorts of Italian sausage specialties and sweet stuff. Grapes, cucumber, tomato, watermelon. Mega hot rolls. I would say bakery bread. My wife has gluten intolerance. Unfortunately there were no rolls on site but we had some with us and they were baked without hesitation. I was excited. And my wife first. We felt really comfortable and will definitely come back.

Two days ago we went to Ristorante Bella Citta Vecchia for the first time. The pizza gets an additional five bonus points from us, so we rate the pizzas a total of ten stars. Great! For our taste, the first “true” pizzas that we have ever eaten, no, enjoyed, in our lives. Because they are great, we went for pizza and pasta again last night. And again - THE culinary delight that you definitely want to experience again, so we will come back again. Plus the very special charm and the always attentive but discreet manner of service. Wonderfully comfortable. The Italian dream comes true here. Add a salad...yes, I'd love to... Another grappa to finish off… yes, gladly… Basically you just want to stay seated...

Went there for the first time about 10 years ago and then again and again. Also on April 30, 2024. And what can I say... we were always very satisfied, including this time. We had 2 delicious pizzas, drinks and later another delicious cappuccino. We sat outside, the waiter was friendly, attentive and humorous, the food came quickly, the drinks were well chilled, the cappuccino was extremely tasty. The price/performance ratio is completely OK. Limburg is always worth a day trip every now and then, stopping here for refreshments or a little break... That was/is a successful day.

Food is great. Ambiance in the restaurant and on the terrace in the old town too. We deduct service because we had to pay promptly due to time constraints. Since the waiter unfortunately didn't come with the bill, we went to the waiter and were then unpleasantly insulted. That wasn't very customer friendly. And there are significant detractions in terms of ambience because the toilet area is easily flooded, smells like sewage and is very narrow. Quote from an older lady: "Oh God, what happened here?". Well, I asked myself that question too... By the way, only cash payment is possible. In today's times it's simply no longer sufficient!

It's nice to sit outside, but the pizza is unreasonable. This has nothing in common with a real Italian pizza. In addition, you are occasionally offered other ingredients that are of poor quality but expensive. So the poor pizza cost 16.50 euros. Some drinks are also not on the menu. Payment only possible in cash. I couldn't read any reference to this anywhere before paying. I definitely cannot recommend the restaurant.

The tagliatelle for 18.50 euros with just 5 scampi and 2 cocktail tomatoes tasted acceptable but was overpriced in my opinion

The male waiter was very very unfriendly. The man refused to accept credit card payments and forced me to pay in cash because I had eaten too little when paying. Even though the food cost over 50 euros. I really can't believe something like this can happen these days. I ordered a calzone, but the entire bottom was burnt and I couldn't even cut it with a knife. And the Artischocken was so tough I couldn't chew it. I will never go again!

( Our opinion ) I was in the restaurant with my wife. We were both very disappointed with the food and the ambience. The house schnitzel was full of fat and tasteless. The salad was okay, but not particularly good either. My wife's lasagne was just lots of pasta sheets with cheese. The rest was missing. The ambience is also not particularly appealing. The restaurant is very old. If you want to go out for a fancy meal, you should go somewhere else. Conclusion: I cannot recommend the restaurant. The food is not good and the ambience is uninspired. If you want to enjoy a good meal in an attractive atmosphere, you should go somewhere else.

Überhaupt nicht flexibel, waren mit unserer Enkelin dort, wollten für sie eine Bambini Pizza, er erklärte uns,es gibt nur eine Größe, habe ich von einen richtigen Italiener noch nie erlebt, zum Glück gibt es in Limburg nicht nur eine Pizzeria!

Richtig schönes Ambiente. Wir waren mit mehreren Personen essen. Der Service war richtig gut, trotzdem das Restaurant fut besucht war. Wir werden auch außerhalb des Feiertags wieder kommen.

Gemütliche Pizzeria mitten in der Limburger Altstadt, im Sommer mit schöner Aussenterrasse. Freundliche Bedienung und wir mussten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Leider war bei uns ein Salat etwas versalzen, der Rest lecker. Preislich ok.

Das Restaurant war super! Sehr gemütlich, nicht laut und nicht zu voll und das Essen war auch sehr lecker und die Portionen groß. Die Kellnerin war super lieb, da wollte man grad länger bleiben. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, man würde mehr vom Getränk bekommen, da eine kleine Cola schon 3,30€ kostet. Sonst waren wir sehr zufrieden🤗

Ich war letztes Wochenende mal im Bella Citta Vecchia. Eine kleine, im Teller verschwundene Pizza zu 12,50 Euro, die fürs Auge noch nicht mal gut belegt war, erwartete mich. Schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bei aber zuvorkommendem Service. Zum Pizza-Essen gehe ich da nicht mehr hin, da kenne ich andere Adressen.

Unser erster Restaurantbesuch in Limburg führte uns ins "Bella Citta Vecchia". Befremdlich fand ich, das Brot zum Salat extra in Rechnung gestellt wird und mit 4,50€ (1Portion Pizzabrot) extrem hoch berechnet wurde. Mein vorzüglicher Salat veranlasste uns dennoch, am nächsten Tag gleich noch einmal einzukehren. Gleichen Salat noch einmal bestellt, aber diesmal wurde ich enttäuscht. Obwohl ich auf Oliven und Ei verzichtete, um diesmal alles aufessen zu können, wurde wiederum das Brot (dieses Mal mit 2,50€ für kleine aufgebackene Brötchen) berechnet und es war entschieden weniger Schinken auf meinem Salat. Ein drittes Mal wir es dann eher nicht geben.🤨

Pizza und Pasta waren soweit lecker, der Service und die Preise OK. Wenn man - wie oft geraten - die Qualität des Restaurants an den Toiletten festmachen würde, müsste man deutlich schlechter bewerten. Ja, es handelt sich um ein altes Gebäude, aber trotzdem kann und sollte man auch hier die Toiletten in Schuss halten. Leider fehlen hier Silikonfugen um die Pissoires, an Fugen und Wänden ist weißer und schwarzer Schimmel zu sehen und alles sieht leider ziemlich "fertig" aus. Schade, denn der Gastraum sieht eigentlich sehr einladend aus. Einen weiteren Stern Abzug, da an der Türe zwar Aufkleber zu EC- und Kreditkartenakzeptanz angebracht sind (siehe Bild) man aber zu hören bekommt, ob man das Schild draußen nicht gesehen habe, dass nur Barzahlung akzeptiert wird. Auf den Hinweis zu den Aufklebern: "... die sind von einem anderen Restaurant, das vorher hier mal drin war..." OK. Beim Verlassen habe ich mich draußen extra nochmal umgesehen und konnte kein Schild zur Barzahlung finden. Dann entfernen Sie doch bitte einfach die Aufkleber, dann spart man sich den Ärger auf beiden Seiten oder noch besser, führen Sie einfach die Kartenzahlung ein. Ich verstehe solche Gastronomen sowieso nicht. Die Zeiten von hohen Gebühren sind doch längst vorbei und nebenbei spart man sich noch den ganzen Aufwand mit Wechselgeld etc. Im Ausland z. B. hätte ich problemlos ab 3€ mein Eis mit Kreditkarte zahlen können, also wo ist das Problem?

Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Schlafen in einen zauberhaft altem Haus. Das Frühstück war erstklassig mit Brötchen vom Bäcker 😊, Obst, Wurst&Käse sowie italienischen Kaffee am Morgen.

Sehr gutes Essen, toller Service und man sitzt wunderschön in der Nähe des Doms. Wir saßen draußen, drinnen ist es etwas altbacken, hier könnte renoviert werden. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in Limburg sind

Sich in Limburg für ein Lokal zu entscheiden ist nicht leicht. Es gibt unzählige. Der Zufall, es war gerade ein Tisch frei, führte uns hierher. Wir hatten Glück mit unserer Wahl. Der Kellner echt italienisch und humorvoll. Die Karte umfangreich und preislich in Ordnung. Wir entschieden uns für einen gemischten Salat, Pizza Marinara mit vielen hochwertigen Meeresfrüchten und die Pizza Salami mit Pilzen. Das Dressing vom Salat, hier Balsamico war klasse, die Pizzen richtig lecker. Ein ganz kleiner Kritikpunkt sind die kleinen, etwas schmuddelig wirkenden Toiletten. Trotzdem eine Empfehlung. Sollte es uns jemals wieder in diese Ecke verschlagen, dann kommen wir wieder👍

Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen kam schnell und war sehr lecker. Man fühlt sich willkommen und wohl.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft im Fachwerkhaus mitten in der Altstadt. Leckeres Frühstück, Unterstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder im Gewölbekeller, sehr nette Inhaber.

We stayed in the hotel for one night but for sure we come back. Don’t expect a four star hotel as you stay in a monument! It’s a nice experience to stay in such a beautiful building, and the best is the Italian breakfast sitting on the terrace while it’s still quiet in the old city.

Die Zimmer sehr schön hell und sauber, nachts ruhig trotz Innenstadt. Das Essen war geschmacklich perfekt, man schmeckt die hochwertigen Zutaten heraus, genau wie beim großartigen Frühstück. Alles in Allem: kein gewöhnliches italienisches Restaurant.

The food was nice and the prices were also good. However, the waiter tried to charge us a 13 tip when here in Germany is NOT a usual thing. We had to repeat him three times that we did not want to pay a tip.

We didn’t have a reservation but it was a quiet rainy weekday, so perhaps on busier days make a reservation Food was absolutely amazing, we tried various dishes. The garlic bread was superb, the carbonara was very good, the olio aglio was average. We had probably one of the best steaks, we ever tried anywhere but I’d get the pepper sauce on the side, it’s probably not for everyone Then we had prawns which were amazing, which very pricey I thought but they were first class The glass of chianti they serve for 6.50 is fine, the menu was extensive and good value The owner is there, he served us, lovely guy, the place is in a great location and has a great ambiance Go eat here, you won’t be disappointed They have rooms overhead as well Thank you to the owner

Waren zum Limburger Weinfest da. Es wurde sich trotz fehlender Reservierung schnell bemüht uns auf der Terrasse einen Platz anzubieten. Die Bedienung erfolgte freundlich und zügig. Die Pizza mit Schinken und Pilzen war nicht riesig, aber dafür wohlschmeckend. Auch die Saltimbocca war nicht schlecht. Die Nudeln mit Pfifferlingen waren vom Gargrad ok, aber für uns alles viel zu wenig gewürzt. Mehr Gewürze . Zwiebeln, Speck, Kräuter und etwas Säure (Weißwein oder Zitrone) hätten da mit den Pfifferlingen bestens harmoniert und das Gericht aufgewertet. Dezente Schärfe fehlte, Salz und Pfeffer definitiv zu wenig, eher auf Schonkostniveau. Da ist noch Luft nach oben. Die Spaghetti Carbonara wurden allerdings vom Nachbartisch empfohlen. Vielleicht war da mehr Aroma vorhanden. Die Preise waren auf dem aktuell üblichen höheren Niveau, abseits von günstigem Essen. Alles war in Summe insgesamt befriedigend, aber mehr leider nicht.
