I was a guest at the guesthouse attached to the restaurant and will return when I return to Limburg. I felt completely at home. A family-run business with attention to detail. Special requests are fulfilled. The rooms and the overall ambiance within the historic walls are very well-maintained and clean. The breakfast is highly recommended. The hosts are always friendly and very helpful. Overall, I felt very comfortable. Thank you very much ☺️

Super tasty pizza, fast and friendly service

Pizzeria in a great location: near the fish market in the beautiful old town. The servers were very friendly and exuded a touch of Italy. We were there on a Monday with changeable weather, so the number of guests was manageable. Special requests were happily accommodated. The food was good. I find the prices a bit overpriced. A large grape juice spritzer costs €6.80. The prices are probably due to the location.

I was appalled by such poor food and service. We wish we'd gone a little further. The taste was abysmal. The service was lackluster. I just hope it's not always like this.

Die Pizza war gut. Am Tisch wurde uns angeboten auf die Pizza Parma Knoblauch und Rucola drauf zu tun, was meiner Meinung nach sowieso auf die Pizza gehört. Leider wurde nicht gesagt das jede Beilage extra kostet. Insgesamt waren das für zwei Pizzen, ein Bie und ein Mineralwasser 48€. Das war die Pizzen nicht wert. Wir waren schon oft in Italien und haben Bekannte in Limburg die wir oft besuchen. Das kenne ich in Limburg jedoch nicht.

Nice Italian restaurant in Limburg's old town. Especially inviting in summer, thanks to its large outdoor area in the pedestrian zone. The spaghetti carbonara was okay, but the carpaccio was very dry. However, the pizza bread (small balls) was excellent. The Aperol had to be revived and increased in volume. Friendly service, but unfortunately, cash only. The restrooms need to be renovated.

Pizzeria. We had Italian pasta dishes, typical for tourists – but very good. A special request that wasn't on the menu was fulfilled at a reasonable price. It wasn't overpriced, but not "cheap" either. The waiters were very polite and exuded a touch of Italy. Very nice. I can't comment on the ambiance inside, as we sat outside. It was very nice!

During a visit to Limburg, we wanted a drink and a pizza to share at lunch. After expressing our preference, we were told that we wouldn't be served if we only ordered one dish! This wasn't a problem at all in the restaurant across the street, and the table we were previously turned away from remained empty the entire time, which is a good thing... I haven't experienced such arrogance in a long time!

Definitely highly recommended. Very friendly service, perfect schnitzel. I actually just asked if I could charge my e-bike. The friendly welcome tempted me to eat there, and I didn't regret it for a second. I'd go back anytime.

A trip to the old town with the expectation of delicious food at a pizzeria. Unfortunately, no star can be awarded; the pizza was very poorly topped, bland and flavorless, with frozen spinach, canned asparagus and artichokes, and three crumbs of cheese, all outrageously priced at €15. Another dish, three kinds of baked pasta, was also unjustified in price and tasteless. When we reported this, there was no response from the staff, let alone an attempt to find an alternative. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it, and we have never eaten so badly at an Italian restaurant anywhere.

Very unfriendly staff. They seemed more irritated that we (one adult woman and one 14-year-old child) were there than happy. It took ages to get our menu. Then we were given two 500ml drinks, while the menu only listed 300ml. We had to address this. The first waiter didn't bother to understand us and simply walked away! The second waiter we confronted grumpily swapped our drinks. Then we had to wait another hour for our food. People who arrived later than us got theirs first. When I asked if our order had reached the kitchen correctly, the waiter angrily explained that preparing food simply takes time and that we weren't the only ones in the restaurant. The food itself was quite reasonable, thankfully. Then it took some time to pay, which turned out to only be possible in cash. There was no mention of this anywhere. But luckily we had cash on us. The bill still had to be adjusted to include smaller drinks, and the calculation (of course) went wrong the first time in their favor. Finally paid what was on the card, but nothing more. We will never come back here. No happy feeling left.

Good pizzeria. The food was delicious. Sure, it was a bit pricey, but that's due to the location and the competition. The service was excellent. After the meal, we even got a short tour of the neighboring building (750 years old). Thanks for that!

The food was completely overpriced and, unfortunately, completely inedible for the price. I had a salad that hardly seemed fresh and was simply inedible. The drinks menu was also disappointing – very limited selection, with hardly anything available. Overall, a disappointing visit that I can't recommend.

Today we had lunch again at our favorite Italian restaurant in Limburg; the food was simply fantastic. The chef and his team are very friendly and polite.

The restaurant is beautifully located, and the service was prompt. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted garlic bread or other appetizers. We chose garlic bread, but unfortunately, they forgot. The cider also came sour instead of sweet as ordered. The pizzas were okay, but absolutely nothing special. However, both pizzas had an extra €1.50 for garlic, which we neither ordered nor tasted. Besides, my pizza came with garlic anyway, so it shouldn't have been charged extra.

Be careful!!! If you only order drinks, you will be looked down upon. The staff don't speak German well and are not friendly. They only take credit cards from €35.... €29 in cash... I don't know what to think... I won't be coming back and neither will my friends. Too bad the bruschettas were good.

A small, cozy spot in Limburg with an authentic feel. The staff didn’t speak much English but were very kind and welcoming. I tried two types of pizzas, both were really good. The drinks menu was typical, but overall, it was a pleasant experience with great service. It's worth a visit if you're in the area.

So, the six of us went there and had a starter platter for two and two bruschettas, which were perfectly fine. We also ordered a bottle of Lugana. When we got the bill, it said €60 for the bottle of Lugana. I thought that was completely excessive. After I pointed this out, I was told that if I didn't have any money, I shouldn't drink it. I haven't experienced such arrogance in a long time.

We were traveling with a group and wanted to stop for ice cream because the night watchman tour was canceled and the ice cream parlors were already closed. The polite waitress assured us he had ice cream for us. Unfortunately, the dessert menu was very small and there was no ice cream. We ended up having coffee and panna cotta there. The next point is that they don't accept card payments. Unusual these days. The dining room was very cramped and warm, unfortunately, it wasn't possible to open a window.

⭐️⭐️ Disappointing – good food, but service with no regard for guests We were there with a group of 11 people. The waiter lured us in with the promise of ice cream – but the so-called ice cream selection turned out to be a rather bland dessert. Anyone hoping for real ice cream here will be disappointed. Some of the dishes seemed quite inviting, and some of the food was actually quite tasty – but unfortunately, that doesn't help much when the service so significantly spoils the overall impression. The space is simply too small for larger groups. Added to that is the stuffy air because the windows can hardly be opened – apparently, the decor is more important than fresh air in summer temperatures. The biggest drawback: payment. It wasn't possible to pay individually by card – only the total amount for the entire group. Especially with so many guests, a little flexibility would have been appropriate. But the host showed no willingness to accommodate. If you treat groups like this, you shouldn't be surprised if they don't come back.

From June 2nd to June 3rd, 2025, we toured the Lahn River on our e-bikes and were warmly welcomed to the guesthouse, which is part of the pizzeria. The best authentic Italian cuisine, a beautiful room in the medieval half-timbered house, a fantastic breakfast in the cozy half-timbered parlor on the first floor, and the extremely friendly Italian owner made our stay an unforgettable experience... We'll be back.... ;-))

When I traveled through Germany as a loner with the 9-eur ticket in August 2022, my first night was in Limburg and I went to eat at this restaurant. Picturesquely situated in the old city center, the smell of garlic and herbs caught my attention. What immediately caught my eye was that on a chalkboard - where you would normally expect the daily special - 'keine kartezahlung' was written in large letters. When I asked the waiter (a small gray-haired man with glasses) if he had a table available, the first thing he did was point to this chalkboard. I didn't immediately find this strange, in Germany you often see that you can't pay by card or only pay larger amounts. Then he gave me the menu and I ordered something to drink. I asked for cola and without asking I got the large version (0.5 L, while I hadn't asked for large). The dish I chose was schnitzel jäger art (with mushrooms and salad). It was okay, but I didn't really find it particularly tasty. During dinner I also ordered a glass of beer and I wanted to try something from the region. As a Dutchman my German is not perfect so I asked for 'lokal brauerei'. The waiter thought that was very funny and brought me the large beer (0.5 L). Yes, I fell for it for the second time: this is a trick that I come across nowhere else on holiday in Europe as much as in Germany; if you don't ask for a small glass, you get the largest. In this case small cost €3.10 and large €4.50. In Germany it may be normal to do this, I find it rude. End result; a lot of food, even more to drink (much more than I had asked for), stomach ache from the food and about €30,- poorer. Food that was not particularly tasty. If I ever return to Limburg, I will definitely not go here again.

This was our second time staying there, staying overnight and having dinner. We're still thrilled. The rooms in the annex are more modern (we stayed in both), but the rooms in the main building aren't bad either; they also have a great bathroom and comfortable beds in a clean room. The breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner! The staff and the "boss" are very helpful! We'll be back!

While exploring the Limburg town centre we found this restaurant. The meals was good, but the waiter brought one wrong drink and he tried to explain us that our order was not correct. Finally, he brought another drink, the correct one. Whoever really made a mistake the waiter should replace it without explaining that we didn’t pronounced it well. But as I said, the meals were delicious.

Location was nice and the pizza was quite tasty, but I feel ripped off. They charged me 8,80(!) for a bottle of still water and 17,60 for 0,5l of wine. If I knew that beforehand I wouldnt have ordered it.

Summary: Rude people... and pizza tastes like they have never been to Italy. 1 hour of waiting for a pizza is my new record... People : we were there 3 adults and 3 kids. We had an impression that we aren't welcome there. If they don't like kids, they should announce it and no one will enter there with kids. That's it! Food: I can make a better pizza at home than we had there. DO NOT GO THER FOR A PIZZA!

A little piece of Italy in the middle of the city As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you are in a cozy restaurant on a side street in Rome - warm light, loving details and an inviting ambience that immediately invites you to linger. The meal was a real highlight: the seasonal asparagus in particular was fantastically prepared - tender, aromatic and cooked to perfection. Plus homemade pasta, a tender osso buco and a heavenly tiramisu at the end - every course is a pleasure and tastes wonderfully coordinated. The service also leaves nothing to be desired: the waiter was extremely friendly, attentive and radiated charming Italian warmth. He was spot on with his recommendations and managed to create an atmosphere in which you simply have to feel comfortable. Conclusion: An all-round successful evening with excellent cuisine, wonderful asparagus, great ambience and service that comes from the heart. I’ll definitely be back – una vera delizia!

Got a bit grumpy here. Wine prices are crazy high, we didn't see anyone drinking wine. Eating was okay, but the mood was already spoiled. In exceptional cases, payment was allowed by card, but next time no more. That won't happen anymore.

In der wunderschönen Limburger Altstadt scheint es etliche Italiener zu geben. Wir konnten hier bei bestem Wetter gerade noch einen Platz auf der Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht ergattern. Das Restaurant ist innen sauber und schön eingerichtet, und die Lage am Fischmarkt ist unschlagbar. Unsere Nudelgerichte fand ich in Ordnung, aber auch nicht überragend. Die Preise fand ich für das Gebotene zu hoch, man bezahlt halt die Lage mit. War ein schöner Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse.

Unfortunately the visit wasn't that nice. The food was okay, rather below average. The waiter took the salt and pepper from the table even though we were still eating. The menu only had small drinks (0.33), but we got large drinks for which we had to pay €2.30 more per drink. Pretty outrageous. We won't eat here again.

The food was actually very good, as was the service. It was also very reasonable for the price level in a tourist city. The only annoying thing was that “card payment is currently not possible”. We know this from the catering industry. Too bad.

On January 21st, 2025 we were there with 3 people. We were very disappointed. The pasta dish was swimming in cheap sauce and was inedible. The two vegetarian pizzas were filled with the cheapest ingredients, completely soggy and so disgusting that we suffered from stomach cramps until the next day. The tablecloth was littered with leftover food and stains from the previous person. The cutlery was unclean. A red wine glass was chipped at the drinking rim. The furniture is unkempt, worn and has a snack bar charm. The floor was completely dirty. The prices are massively overpriced. We will never go there again and can only advise against this pizzeria. She is miserable.

Without children and with cash, yes, card payment was declined. The first waiter probably had problems with the German language, but was nice.

Ordered 2 pizzas as normal. Shock at the bill. Garlic with Pizza Salami was not ordered separately but was charged an additional €1. The pizza parma was great, here “everything” was charged extra... rocket €1.50, parmesan €2.50!, garlic €1, spicy pepperoni €1. A total of €19.50 for a small pizza, mind you. In my opinion, a total rip off.

The rooms are great, rich breakfast, friendly staff, good parking and a five-minute walk to the historic old town. Modernly equipped rooms, large bathroom with bathtub... There are some sights in the old town, but currently overcrowded with tourists due to Oktoberfest. Limburg also only has 36,500 inhabitants.

Unfriendliness has top priority here. Unfortunately, you can't get a pizza that you want to share with two drinks here. We wanted to sit down and were told you can't get a table for the small order. You can get this pizza to take away. An impudence from the old gentleman (waiter).

My room wasn't nice, to park you have to go to the nearby underground car park (old town) which is free. Otherwise quaint house. We weren't at the accommodation to eat but everything looked very tasty 😋, we just didn't want Italian cuisine that day

Biggest catastrophe. The food doesn't taste good. If we wanted to have brokoli instead of peas for a dish then there would be an additional charge of €5. The meat was so white, I don't even want to know how long it was in the freezer. But everything is nicely done with garlic so that you don't get the taste out.

Food good, but if you are with 2 people at peak times. If you sit down at a table for four, you are guaranteed to be allowed to move to a table for two. Turnover can be greeted no matter what. And... card payment not possible, only cash payment. Backwoods! Not only the food has to be right, the rest of it has to be right too... What a shame!!

There were three of us there, 2 adults and a 4 year old boy. And apparently they were the last to be served that evening. Accordingly, the friendliness was more on the same level as we can get behind us. Okay, I want to get off work at some point, no problem. But if you order two dishes for the adults and a robber plate for the four-year-old, as a waiter I don't have to comment on that with mmh. It should seem conceivable that the little one can't make a whole lasagne on his own. Well, we then got children's cutlery, which brought out a little positive things. When we ordered a 0.75 water bottle we were given three goblet glasses. When we pointed out that the little one couldn't really handle it. We were given a glass of juice. Maybe it's too much to ask that you see something like this for yourself. We were still pleasantly surprised when it came to eating. So you can stamp the service on a daily basis. Men levert niet wat besteld is ( bier met sprite in plaats van radler, halve liter die had ik niet besteld, en in plaats van knoflookbrood krijg je een paar stukken pizza met tomaten wat kruiden zonder knoflook, er werd gevraagd of ik balsamico of yoghurt dressing wilde en kreeg vervolgens een plens van beide over de salade) als men vraagt of alles naar wens is en we antwoorden met nee en geven toelichting, dan haalt de bediening de schouders op en loopt weg. Hier ben ik voor het laatst geweest.

We went there twice this week and yes, we will be back. The service is top notch. The location in the middle of the old town is simply beautiful and the food is delicious. Monday we had pizza and spaghetti with seafood. Today lasagna and a salad a la casa. Plus garlic bread. Everything recommended.

Had a delicious meal on a nice terrace in this picturesque place. Quick service. A gnocci with creamy 4-cheese sauce, a good spaghetti frutti di Mare and a nice fresh mixed salad!

Pizza and salad are highly recommended. Terrace with city views invites you to have lunch. Were received very friendly there.

As we passed by, the external impression invited us to linger. So ordered a cappuccino and an espresso doppio. The cappuchino was appropriate for an Italian-run restaurant, the espresso was disappointing (it was more of a thin coffee and hardly any aroma and served without the obligatory glass of water). When I asked (probably a communication problem) I was given a glass of sparkling water with ice and lemon.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in diesem Restaurant, weil es einladend aussah. Der Chef brachte uns die Speisekarte und wirkte dabei schon überheblich, arrogant und selbstherrlich. Der jüngere Kellner, der uns danach bediente, war freundlich. Wir bestellten Nudeln, Brot gab es nur gegen Berechnung, wir verzichteten. Der gewünschte Parmesan wurde mit 5 € (!) zusätzlich berechnet. Die Qualität des Essens war gut. Wir werden dieses Restaurant aufgrund der Überheblichkeit des Chefs nicht mehr besuchen.

Great location in the middle of old town. Friendly staff and extraordinary breakfast. Our room was quite spacious and nice. This is an old building and the main staircase is quite steep. Since you are in the middle of the old town expect some sounds throughout the night. Everything is just a short walk from here. Parking is convenient in Altstadt parking garage.

We spent one night there. To be honest, I wasn't that convinced when I arrived. But you shouldn't always trust the first impression. After we moved into the room, we noticed that the toilet didn't flush properly and I thought the first impression was confirmed. But the gentleman at the reception came up and took care of it. From that moment on I was thrilled. Not because of the ambience because I thought that was great from the start. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of it all instead of just there. Great. We didn't eat there. I can't say anything about the food. I slept very well. Great beds. We had breakfast, what can I say. Simply a great, super delicious breakfast. There was no buffet but a sausage plate with all sorts of Italian sausage specialties and sweet stuff. Grapes, cucumber, tomato, watermelon. Mega hot rolls. I would say bakery bread. My wife has gluten intolerance. Unfortunately there were no rolls on site but we had some with us and they were baked without hesitation. I was excited. And my wife first. We felt really comfortable and will definitely come back.

Two days ago we went to Ristorante Bella Citta Vecchia for the first time. The pizza gets an additional five bonus points from us, so we rate the pizzas a total of ten stars. Great! For our taste, the first “true” pizzas that we have ever eaten, no, enjoyed, in our lives. Because they are great, we went for pizza and pasta again last night. And again - THE culinary delight that you definitely want to experience again, so we will come back again. Plus the very special charm and the always attentive but discreet manner of service. Wonderfully comfortable. The Italian dream comes true here. Add a salad...yes, I'd love to... Another grappa to finish off… yes, gladly… Basically you just want to stay seated...

Food is great. Ambiance in the restaurant and on the terrace in the old town too. We deduct service because we had to pay promptly due to time constraints. Since the waiter unfortunately didn't come with the bill, we went to the waiter and were then unpleasantly insulted. That wasn't very customer friendly. And there are significant detractions in terms of ambience because the toilet area is easily flooded, smells like sewage and is very narrow. Quote from an older lady: "Oh God, what happened here?". Well, I asked myself that question too... By the way, only cash payment is possible. In today's times it's simply no longer sufficient!

Went there for the first time about 10 years ago and then again and again. Also on April 30, 2024. And what can I say... we were always very satisfied, including this time. We had 2 delicious pizzas, drinks and later another delicious cappuccino. We sat outside, the waiter was friendly, attentive and humorous, the food came quickly, the drinks were well chilled, the cappuccino was extremely tasty. The price/performance ratio is completely OK. Limburg is always worth a day trip every now and then, stopping here for refreshments or a little break... That was/is a successful day.

It's nice to sit outside, but the pizza is unreasonable. This has nothing in common with a real Italian pizza. In addition, you are occasionally offered other ingredients that are of poor quality but expensive. So the poor pizza cost 16.50 euros. Some drinks are also not on the menu. Payment only possible in cash. I couldn't read any reference to this anywhere before paying. I definitely cannot recommend the restaurant.

The male waiter was very very unfriendly. The man refused to accept credit card payments and forced me to pay in cash because I had eaten too little when paying. Even though the food cost over 50 euros. I really can't believe something like this can happen these days. I ordered a calzone, but the entire bottom was burnt and I couldn't even cut it with a knife. And the Artischocken was so tough I couldn't chew it. I will never go again!

Super nice service and great location right in the center and near the half-timbered houses. Pizza was great too!

( Our opinion ) I was in the restaurant with my wife. We were both very disappointed with the food and the ambience. The house schnitzel was full of fat and tasteless. The salad was okay, but not particularly good either. My wife's lasagne was just lots of pasta sheets with cheese. The rest was missing. The ambience is also not particularly appealing. The restaurant is very old. If you want to go out for a fancy meal, you should go somewhere else. Conclusion: I cannot recommend the restaurant. The food is not good and the ambience is uninspired. If you want to enjoy a good meal in an attractive atmosphere, you should go somewhere else.

The starter platter was very tasty and rich, almost a full meal. The Primitivo was exactly my taste. Thank you, I'll be back.
