I don't recommend this restaurant. They're completely overwhelmed with orders. They don't even know their own menu. The drinks took forever, and then, instead of the non-alcoholic drinks we ordered, we unfortunately got alcoholic drinks because the server had entered the wrong number. We didn't say anything. Then we got our food, but unfortunately, no cutlery. At some point, I got up and went to the counter, who directed me to another employee, who was in the middle of a conversation. The food was okay if you like a pizza. A pizza that was ordered to go arrived fresh on a plate because the server had unfortunately not informed us that it was for takeout. The icing on the cake was that we didn't get a bill when we asked, so we couldn't even collect Losteria points. We should have registered this beforehand. All in all, a no-go. What a shame!

I went to L'Osteria in Limburg and ordered the bruschetta – unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The bread was no longer warm, the tomatoes were ice cold, and there was hardly any garlic to be tasted. For just under €8, I expected a lot more, especially at a restaurant like L'Osteria. The value for money here is completely out of this world. It's a shame, because I actually like L'Osteria – but this bruschetta was definitely not recommended.

Hello. There were three of us and we were very happy with the recommended pizza and salad. The welcome was very friendly, a bit funny, and simply good. The drinks and food came very quickly. Our server was pleased to see our dog and remarked on how well-behaved he was. We'll definitely be back.

The pizza was really good value for money! I really enjoyed it. As for the ambiance, yes, it was crowded and loud on a holiday, but that's probably the case in every restaurant. The staff was really friendly, but I wish they'd come by a bit more often. Overall, it's worth eating here.

One of the best losterias we've ever been to. Truly outstanding service, and that from a group of 45 people. The food came very quickly, the waiters were all super friendly and constantly asked if everything was okay. Naima was a truly lovely waitress who did everything she could to make us all feel comfortable. Thank you so much, we'll be back!

The pizza is so big that you can share it with two people and a small starter is enough. Most guests cannot manage this large pizza alone and then take the rest home in a box.

Hey, so you don't cook risotto by boiling long-grain rice and then pouring it into the sauce? That was more soup than risotto, unfortunately. They should reconsider if that's on the monthly menu. The pizza wasn't that good, unfortunately; it was kind of flat, dry, lifeless, and the arugula was already stale. The service was good, but they've had better food.

We went here because no other restaurant was open between 2 and 5 p.m. The "big hall" feeling didn't bother us. We had a nice spot where we could have a good conversation. The pizzas are huge and, as mentioned in other reviews, with wafer-thin crusts—we like them just the same, so they're really delicious, even in taste. What's completely unacceptable, though, is that when I order a pizza with chicken, I expect significantly more than 5! (five) small pieces of meat. Sorry, they're being too stingy. I'd only give you another chance, as you always offer, if the toppings on the pizzas improved. Cost: 2 pizzas and 2 large shandy for €45

Positive: The friendly service and the nice space are perfect for those who like a hall atmosphere. Personally, I prefer a more intimate setting. Converse: We had to wait over an hour for our meal for two people (1 pizza, 1 pasta), even though three other tables with guests who arrived much later were served earlier. After I raised my voice, my pizza finally arrived. 1 star for the food: The pizza was huge, about 40 cm in diameter, which I don't think is necessary, but it should justify the high price, but it wasn't good. It was lightly topped with Parmesan, the dry tomato sauce had little cheese, and too little to no Italian seasoning. The same problem with the bruschetta, but the worst part was the Bolognese sauce. It tasted like it came from a can. A no-go! So, folks! There are more than enough good to very good Italian restaurants in our area that know a thing or two about real Italian food. I don't need to go there anymore!

The food was only okay, the pasta was bland, and the pizza could have been a bit more generously toppings. The service was annoying: I made an online reservation and requested to sit outside. Only when I got there did I get a message saying that they couldn't make outdoor reservations online and that there were no spaces left. When I asked about the numerous free tables outside, I was told that this area was already closed because they had to close the doors and it would soon get cold. It was still at least 27 degrees Celsius. After some back and forth, we finally got a table for six outside, which they apparently hadn't wanted to give us because there were only four of us. The "closed" area was opened to other guests 15 minutes later. We only got a high chair for our toddler upon request, even though I had also requested it in the reservation, and the child is obviously still too small for a regular chair. Neither the drink nor the pizza I had chosen was available; the menu alla casa was sold out. However, these dishes were advertised at the entrance. No pepper, salt, or oil were offered with the meal; we had to get them ourselves, as there was no staff anywhere to be seen. The restrooms are underground, with feces in the toilet and on the floor. Apparently, they don't check the area often enough. I'm disappointed and won't be coming back.

The food was delicious, but my pasta was either cooked too short or too long, as it was hard around the edges. However, the food tasted very good. The service was excellent and very customer-oriented. The small dessert glasses were also delicious. I would go back to Losteria anytime and can recommend the restaurant.

The ambiance is okay, although it echoes quite loudly when there are several customers, a bit like a train station. Many waiters bustle around and seem hectic. It's okay to go there once in a while, but for a nice evening, I'd prefer a different restaurant. It would be helpful if the oversized pizzas, with only a few toppings, were served on a platter or something similar. The pizza hangs far over the edge of the plate, making it virtually impossible to cut. It's annoying. One pizza + one beer = €19.80

Where to start? With the most important thing: the food. The pizzas are huge, jutting out well beyond the edge of the plate. It's kind of awesome, but unfortunately impractical. It also has the annoying habit of cooling down very quickly due to the thin crust. At the same time, you might think that a large pizza would have a lot of toppings. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The pizza with 'Nduja (tip: you can buy it at the big shop with an A. for bread) was sparingly topping. The service was quite good that evening, but the ambiance wasn't our style. It's typical of L'Osteria, and very loud. It's difficult to have a conversation. It's better to concentrate on the food anyway... Next time, we'll order for pickup again.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our visit to L'Osteria. After a long wait, we were even sent away from our table without being able to order or eat anything. This was extremely rude and ruined our entire evening. We considered this very poor service; we hadn't expected anything like this.

Good food, pizza for kids a bit small, otherwise very nice

We weren't assigned the best tables, even though they remained free until our departure. The music blares in the room; no halfway decent acoustic engineer installed it. The risotto is bland, and the pumpkin isn't even cooked through – something the waitress, after commenting on it, apparently deliberately ignored and didn't react accordingly. There are ridiculously few mint leaves in the fresh mint tea. The espresso wasn't hot, but it was delicious. The pizza was okay, but we've had better at other L'Osterias. The head waitress's excuse: Those are the chain's management's cooking guidelines.

Our visit was a few months ago now. I deliberately waited to write a review so I wouldn't embarrass anyone and could still share my impressions. The atmosphere is almost like a large warehouse. Loud, uncomfortable, and hectic. The staff was chronically understaffed. Nevertheless, our waitress stood by our table more than once and vented at length how stressed she was and how incompetent the others were. And that was truly unbelievably unpleasant. So, of course, we understood that we couldn't really be given any more attention and didn't want to make a big deal or "disturb" anyone any longer. The crayfish pasta tasted completely bland. The ingredients sound really interesting and delicious. But unfortunately, you couldn't taste any of them at all.

The 45 cm pizzas are well-topped and delicious. The service is attentive and helpful.

We're a regular at L'Osteria. We're shocked at how we were treated. They made it very clear to us, in a very unfriendly manner, that late arrivals or individual cancellations weren't welcome. Everyone had to be there within 15 minutes, and any remaining seats would be forfeited. The best part was that they didn't tell us this on our last visit or before our next visit. Instead, they left us standing at the door with a gun to our heads. Disgraceful! Never again!

We were travelling trough Germany and slept in hotel next to it. We were really surprised to see sucha nice restaurant in the area. Everyone and everything was very good.

Yeah, it was okay. The food was good. The service was really friendly, but unfortunately not always reliable. When we still didn't have our coffee after 15-20 minutes of eating, we left. And the restaurant wasn't even half full. There was no apology, just an annoyed look. When we were packing up the food, we explicitly emphasized that everything from the pizza would be wrapped, but that also seemed to go unnoticed.

It's ideally located next to the A3 motorway; you just drive down and you're there. The food tastes great, and the selection is huge. 👍

The gentleman who escorts guests to their tables is a complete disaster. He sent us to wait at the bar because he had to clean our table. This took a while because he was busy doing other things. After a long wait, he showed us to our tables with a rude "Come with me!" Very arrogant and unfriendly! We won't go there again because of this person alone...but the food is really top-notch!

They have very good pasta. We had pizza last time in Passau, and it was delicious.

The design/concept - really very good! Food - OK - I had zucchini spaghetti with spicy shrimp. It came across well! Sufficient and well-priced. That's okay for service desert Germany. Service - however, still needs improvement! There's a lack of daily briefing/culture. It takes 5 minutes, but it lasts forever. People live it up and respect each other. The pizza is way too big on way too small plates - gimmicky - ridiculous! Why don't you get plywood plates? It should be worth it. Maybe some kind of film between them to comply with the damn HACCP and the complete idiot from the GAA. The waiter at the table for 12 almost ripped half off the way too small plate; it almost fell off if he hadn't grabbed it by hand! Still, it was served to laughter. Maybe quite funny as entertainment, but like this? Sit down, 5!!! However, it fits very well with the German VBB culture (lots, colorful, and cheap?). Cutlery - was missing in some places. But it came quite quickly after a complaint - so it seems completely normal today! My beer was very warm (with thick-walled 0.5-liter glasses, they should have been chilled well beforehand! What a shame about the good beer. Who was sleeping there?) As a location for family events, it's perfectly fine. Many large tables occupied! I would go here again. But probably not as a couple.... Conclusion = satisfactory! For a master chef, already long retired, but from the Bocuse/Witzigmann/Dieter Müller circle and himself a long-time manager, it still takes some getting used to.

Beautiful, large, high-ceilinged room. We were served quickly. The pizzas were overflowing. We chose lasagna and a salad, both delicious. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms.

The food tastes good, but the pasta dishes are ridiculous in terms of quantity. The pizzas are very large but very thin, which you have to like. The tables are unfortunately too small if all four of you order a pizza. But the "best" part came when paying. I was asked on a small debit machine whether I wanted to add a 10%, 15%, or 20% tip. That's definitely too much when you have a bill of €110. There are better options in Limburg and the surrounding area, especially for the money.

Such a lovely surprise! We stopped to charge the car and, tempted by the delicious smell, decided to stay for dinner. The tomato soup and pizza were really tasty, but the best part was definitely the service – friendly, welcoming, and with a smile! There is also a high-power electric car charger right next door.

There were 15 of us for dinner, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Some of us would have drunk a little more if the service had been more attentive. The music was distracting, as we preferred to talk to music, which the high ceilings and poor acoustics already made difficult.

The quality of the pasta dishes simply can't keep up with the price. If the menu says "Ragù alla Bolognese," I actually expect a "ragù" and not a standard meat sauce, which was also very bland and I can make much better myself. On top of that, my dish was actually one of the dishes you can get on a lunch menu. However, I had already ordered my drink before ordering my food. The server said she would change it, but in the end, I still paid for both separately, thus missing out on the lunch menu discount. Since I also paid for my companion's drink, I didn't realize this until we were already back on the highway. So, it's not exactly worth repeating.

We love going to L Osteria with our family. Whether in Berlin (the atmosphere is fantastic), Gelsenkirchen, or Limburg an der Lahn, the pizzas are fantastic.

I found it disappointing that all the guests were crammed into one corner and couldn't choose a table, even though the restaurant was empty. Apparently, this was done so the staff wouldn't have to walk so far. We had some very unpleasant, noisy Dutch people at the next table; nobody needs that. We'd rather go to the Osteria in Bornheim; the staff are much nicer there and the food tastes better.

We were on our way back from our vacation, just before we got home, at L'osteria, and we ordered pizza online to take home. This was the second time since they opened. One pizza was missing and still needed to be made, and all the pizzas needed a bit more heat. The staff there were very friendly! Unfortunately, the pizza was only okay.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, we couldn't order anything until 30 minutes later, and it took another 30 minutes for drinks and another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, it was very loud.

Today was the last time I'll be visiting Osteria Limburg for a long time. It's a shame, I've been there often and happily over the years. But today was a blast. The waiter, as so often, took the order wrong for both dishes. The only response was, "It's okay, it's busy, bar or menu." The blast was being approached for the second time in a row by the team coordinator at the table, "Oh, who seated you here?" The table was cleaned especially for us, and we were seated, as we had previously made a reservation as usual. The last time, she even chased us away and sat us in a corner by the bar because she needed the table. I mean, we're paying guests; even people in need are treated better at the food bank. Otherwise, the rest of the Osteria team is very nice, and the food tastes very good, too. But it's a shame.

Painful incident at L'Osteria Limburg – disappointing treatment of guests I always enjoyed visiting L'Osteria in Limburg – but this visit was my last. A hot espresso was spilled on my thigh while being served. In addition to the pain, my clothes were ruined, and my day at work in the field was ruined. The branch manager, Ms. F.B., promised to resolve the matter – but to date, nothing has happened. Instead of serious help or understanding, I was simply offered a €150 voucher. As if a voucher could compensate for the physical pain and material damage! I'm stuck with the costs and feel like I'm not being taken seriously as a guest. Extremely disappointing treatment, especially for a restaurant I've been loyal to for a long time.

The pizza has deteriorated considerably compared to the past. It feels like they've taken every ingredient and replaced it with a cheaper product, and put less on it. The cheese tastes rubbery, and the mozzarella from the discount store tastes cheap, as does the tomato sauce, and there's so little of the rest on it that you don't even notice it. It now tastes like a large Gustavo Gusto frozen pizza. But I could just eat two of those and even save half the price.

Very tasty. Extremely friendly. Great location near the EV charging station – just a minute away. Also close to the highway for all combustion engine drivers. The pizza is extremely large and of high quality. The ambiance is stylish and beautiful. You can also sit outside in the summer. The service is friendly, courteous, and pleasant.
