Ristorante Agostino in Bad Oldesloe

The pasta dish was certainly not a flavor explosion. Too bland.

I ate mussels in a white wine sauce at Ristorante Agostino and was thoroughly satisfied. My first impression was pleasant: a cozy atmosphere with friendly service. The mussels were served in an aromatic white wine sauce, refined with leeks and garlic – very delicious and full of flavor. They were served with fresh white bread, which was perfect for soaking up the liquid. The portion was large and extremely filling, so you'll be well fed if you have a good appetite. Overall, a very successful visit: good food, attentive service, and good value for money. Definitely recommended for lovers of mussels and Italian cuisine.

It's very pleasant to sit on the terrace in the summer. The pizza and pasta dishes are very tasty, but the pasta portions are quite small.

My beef fillet was tough. The pork medallions were dry. Unfortunately, I didn't get a steak knife. There was no salt or pepper on the table. After I told the waitress about the tough fillet, there was no apology, just "I'll pass it on." We won't be eating here again.

This is my first review... I ordered a lasagna and it was by far the worst lasagna of my life... as you can see from the photo... the lasagna was practically swimming in oil and sauce... it actually tasted delicious... but you can't really call it lasagna... there were only 3-4 lasagna sheets... the staff were unfortunately very unfriendly... we were constantly insulting each other... I asked for bread for the lasagna and she visibly complained to her colleague that she had to cut extra bread... really a shame because the restaurant is very nice and the location is great. I will not visit this restaurant again and would not recommend it to anyone. As I said, this is my first review because I don't usually do things like this... but I was really disappointed.

Classic Italian restaurant 🍴 Beautifully located on the water with lovely outdoor seating. The menu offers everything you'd expect, and the pasta is delicious! Lunch specials are also available during the week. Good service and reasonable value for money 👌

We were here for the first time today (four of us). The food was delicious. Hot, cooked to perfection, crisp, and fresh. The service team was very friendly and competent. According to the website, they're open until 11 p.m. on Fridays, but at 10 p.m. we were informed that they would like to close and asked to go to the cashier. We had just ordered a drink. A small notice that they were about to close would have been appropriate at that time, or at least a way to finish your drink in peace (glasses still a quarter to half full) and then go to the cashier.

I had lamb chops that were unfortunately very stringy and tough. The supposedly grilled potatoes underneath the meat were soaked in oil (whether from the meat on top, I don't know) and tasteless. The mushy vegetable side dish arrived late. When I complained about this, the kitchen was informed. The waitress came back with a grappa for me on the house and said the chef thought it couldn't be because he grilled the potatoes. He didn't say anything about the meat. And what about a grappa for my wife? She looked puzzled. In any case, we had to pay full price. My wife's lasagna was swimming in sauce, but was supposedly delicious. Afterward, she had heartburn the whole evening. Well...

We arrived by campervan. It was full inside, but we were able to sit on the covered terrace. It was fine. The food was excellent. Minestrone and asparagus soup as a starter. The main course was spaghetti bolognese and lamb fillet with gorgonzola sauce. Because we were completely full, we took the tiramisu in a doggy bag. They did automatically charge the takeaway price, though. Very thoughtful. The service was excellent.

For me, this is currently my first choice in OD if I want Italian cuisine.

We couldn't make a reservation outside, so we had to wait 15 minutes inside for a seat. During that time, another table was reserved outside, with the explanation that there were more than two people. Yes, of course. With five people, you make more business than with two. After asking three times, we were finally given a table and allowed to order. From the time we ordered, we waited another 40 minutes for our drinks. When the appetizer finally arrived, there was no cutlery. We pointed this out to the three waiters several times. After another 10 minutes, we finally got cutlery and were able to eat. The food was good, but the service was completely overwhelmed. One waiter was only responsible for one table, while the other two were responsible for the remaining tables. Service was abysmal. The manager stood behind the bar, relaxed, making drinks and looking around. We won't go there again.

Antipasti, calamari and fried zucchini are delicious!

It's a shame, since it all started so well. A very friendly welcome, a lovely atmosphere... That was all the positive things I could say. We were served our Aperol Spritz, and mine spilled straight onto my trousers, my sleeve, and at my feet. The waitress was very upset about the mishap and apologized several times. Things like that can happen, and it's not really that bad. However, we weren't offered a new, dry, clean seat; on top of that, I was given an Aperol that tasted completely watery. The food was so-so. I couldn't even taste the cognac in the sauce with much imagination. My daughter's meal was mediocre. I was offered the option of having my clothes cleaned at their expense, but that was it. I paid the full price; there was no discount whatsoever, which I would have expected given the severity of the damage. This was also completely ignored when I paid, which I find very unfortunate. It wasn't just a few splashes, but a full glass that spilled all over my trousers, my sleeve, and parts of my jacket. I don't blame the waitress; things like that can happen, but the other employees in the restaurant should have reacted when we paid, at the very latest. We won't be coming back; there are just too many restaurants that offer far better service with fair prices and sensational cuisine.

The food was okay, but the service was unfortunately disappointing. We were particularly struck by the behavior of the manager, who made insensitive and racist remarks and was generally very unfriendly, which seriously spoiled our visit. It's a shame—we were looking forward to a pleasant evening.

Unfortunately the service is terrible, it's a shame for such a high price that people pay. We couldn't eat together because the food didn't come all at once, tables were swapped, things were forgotten and the waitresses generally seemed very overwhelmed. There are really better restaurants in Bad Oldesloe.

Highly recommended restaurant in Bad Oldesloe. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The price-performance ratio is right. The Agostino in the heart of the city is firmly part of Bad Oldesloe as the oldest and best Italian restaurant.

Chic restaurant with very good quality Great service If you sit outside it can be loud at times

My wife and I went to Agostino's about once a year. Today I struggled briefly with the parking ticket machine, so we couldn't sit down until 2:01 p.m. Then we were told that the kitchen had been closed since 2 p.m., which was also what the sign said. But when we entered the restaurant for the very last time, the sign wasn't there yet! That's what I call bad service. Luckily there are better restaurants in the area!

Unfortunately I have to agree with several recent reviews...the Agostino has deteriorated quite a bit. On our last visit in August there was no greeting and everything seemed a bit listless. Our meal was solid at best. The pork medallions were tough, the seafood spaghetti had little mussels (or no contents), and the rump steaks had an aftertaste in our opinion. The spaghetti carbonara and pizza were fine, like "back in the day". Was the regular chef/owner not in the kitchen? One had the impression. Price-performance ratio wasn't right.

We have always been very happy with the restaurant, but after our last visit we were a bit disappointed 😞. It's okay to increase the prices, but I don't think it's possible to reduce the portion size at the same time.

Food and service were excellent. Unfortunately, I didn't look trustworthy enough to be allowed to pay with my 500 euro note. Before my next visit here I'll go to the hairdresser. 😜

We were ignored twice until we were seated. Long wait until we even got the menu. We waited over an hour for the food (guests who arrived after us got their food sooner). And when the food was finally on the table, we had to point out to the waitress that the cutlery was missing. Unfortunately for us it was a mistake.

Great ambience, great service and extremely good food. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside the restaurant under large parasols.

Do you discriminate against foreigners? As two foreigners, we politely asked where we could sit. The colleague said that we were only allowed to sit at a table for two people. After we sat down, several couples came after us, also in pairs, and were allowed to sit at four-person tables. Do you discriminate against foreigners?

We just had a drink here "Bird Shooting" and were served very courteously by a very friendly and cheerful waiter.

I am very dissatisfied with my visit. We drove here forty minutes from Lübeck. We were disrespected while waiting. At first the owner didn't want to let us sit on the side and said we could only sit at the table for two at the entrance, even though all the tables for two and four on the side were empty. In the end we were allowed to sit at a table for two to the side, but the European guests who arrived later were allowed to sit directly at the tables for four. Maybe it's because we have Asian faces...

Visiting with three adults and two children. Unfortunately, despite frequent positive visits, we had a very bad experience today :( The service was very stressful and unfriendly from the start. This time the pizzas were limp and the squid was extremely tough. Boxes for the children's uneaten pizza were simply placed on the table and we were asked to pack it ourselves. Our “criticism” was also described as complaining by the restaurant management… We have always been very satisfied… Was that an exception...

Diesmal waren wir voll enttäuscht. Der Kellner war sehr unfreundlich. Für das Einpacken der Hälfte der Pizzen bekamen wir Kartons auf den Tisch gestellt. Als der Kellner dann beim Einpacken mithalf, fielen ihm die Teller samt Inhalt auf den Boden. Es gab kein Ersatz, geschweige denn einen Preisnachlass. Auch waren die Pizzen selbst sehr labberig und der Tintenfisch sehr zäh. Wir waren wegen eines Kindergeburtstags zum Speisen dort und trotz einer versprochenen Überraschung wurde erst nach Aufforderung ein Eis gebracht. Die Restaurantleitung zeigte keinerlei Entgegenkommen. Die Gäste sind hier sicherlich nicht die Könige.

We came to the restaurant without a reservation. A table for two people with a view of the Trave was immediately set up for us. The service was really good, as was the food. The restaurant was very busy.

We hadn't ordered a table for 4 people on a Thursday at 5:30 p.m. There were only 2 tables occupied and we were told we were only allowed to stay until 7:15 p.m. There were only three tables occupied by us the whole time. Why this unfriendly note?

Other foods here may be tasty. Unfortunately my carpaccio yesterday was inedible for me. The meat was cooked and covered with an indefinable sauce with also cooked mushrooms, which were declared to be porcini mushrooms, but I couldn't tell what they looked like or tasted. The whole thing was drowned in lemon juice and that just made it sour. Even though I returned it, I was rudely asked to pay for this "carpaccio". It was only out of consideration for my companion that I didn't let the situation escalate. Once and never again.

The calzone is well filled with salami and vegetables. But we were missing the cheese. There were a lot of onions. Not quite the way we like them. But if that's what the recipe says, it might be perfect for others. The steak was super tasty.

We were here with 20 people for a Christmas party. The service staff was extremely friendly and deserves 5 stars, unlike the boss, who was very arrogant, unreasonable and anything but hospitable to some of us: Because of a longer city tour, we arrived very cold and asked for tea - not exactly Italian, but thankfully on offer . The ginger tea that some people chose was almost tasteless, which we compared. We complained about the very courteous service and passed it on to the boss. Then came the kicker: we were supposed to come to the counter with our tea (not that she made an effort to come to us). There we were told in an extremely unfriendly manner that the tea was completely fine, it was our problem, she got it fresh from the wholesaler, she sold it every day, and no one before us had complained. When I objected that it was now less the tea than her handling of the complaint that was causing me to be displeased, she threatened to throw me out. I withdrew, asked my colleague to show me the tea pack and lo and behold: the best before date had expired for over a year. Nevertheless, there was still no apology from the boss (who, when asked about it before this discovery, explicitly excluded her because she was not to blame...). For me, such behavior from a “hostess” is absolutely unacceptable and I will never enter this store again.

Very nice location, the service is very friendly and attentive. The menu is well laid out, from starter to main course to dessert, there is no missing Italian dish. There are various seating areas, all quite comfortable. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back.

Upscale Italian cuisine lavishly presented. Interesting wine list with southern Italian wines. Unfortunately the huge plates were not preheated, so the food cooled down quickly. But it was delicious! Definitely a good address in Bad Oldesloe, which is otherwise rather mediocre in terms of cuisine.

Service ungelernt,man hat den Eindruck das nur Aushilfen dort bedienen von daher echt schlecht. Steak sollte medium sein und wurde,,durch,, serviert. Seit Jahren dasselbe Gemüse,keine neuen Ideen ...Nachbartisch hat 40 min auf Getränke gewartet!!!

Haben draußen gesessen, es war sehr voll aber trotzdem ging alles recht schnell. Das Essen war gut aber irgendwie fehlte bei jedem das gewisse etwas.

Speisekarte schnell wieder abgeben - es gibt wohl nicht so viele. Teller werden schon abgeräumt, bevor der letzte am Tisch fertig gegessen hat... Etwas ungeschulte, aber nette Bedienung.

Ich habe für eine Pizza 16€ bezahlt und meine Frau für ihre Spaghetti 17€ wie gesagt das Essen war sehr lecker aber ich finde trotzdem preislich etwas zu hoch angesetzt. Wer in Oldesloe nett essen gehen möchte dem kann das Agostino wärmstens ans Herz gelegt werden. Man sollte nur wissen was man hier erwarten kann leckeres Essen zu meiner Meinung nach etwas überhöhten Preisen. Liebe Grüße

Es war wirklich ein Erlebnis,wir hatten das Überraschungsmenü Fleisch.Was dann in den 4 Gängen kam war wirklich ein Traum,es fing an mit Burrata an gebratenen Auberginenscheiben,eine Augenweide und wirklich sehr lecker. Der zweite Gang eine gefüllte Nudel mit Pilzragout und geriebenem Trüffel, sagenhafter Geschmack. Der Hauptgang war eine Variantion aus dreierlei verschiedenen Fleischsorten und dazu noch ein sehr leckeres Pastinakenmus.Jede Fleischsorte hatte eine eigene Sosse mit passendem Gemüse. Als Nachspeise gab es ein außergewöhnliches Tiramisu mit Erdbeerspiegel. Es war ein rundum mega leckeres Essen,dass man wirklich nur weiterempfehlen kann.Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!!!! Ein Satz zu der Bedienung, sie waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und haben uns jeden Gang beschrieben.

Salat mit Putenstreifen war Salat im Ölschwimmbad mit drei Putensteak drauf. Zu viel Fleisch, der wenige Salat kaum essbar.

I had the house salad, and it did not disappoint! Fresh ingredients, generous serving size, and delicious! The only reason I'm giving them one star less is that I believe their customer service could be improved. We arrived 20 minutes before they officially opened, and because it was drizzling, we asked if we could go in (just to wait until they started serving), and we were told emphatically no. In other places I've been, if we arrive early, the weather is bad outside, and the place is open, I've been offered to sit inside until they start serving. It's just good manners and customer service.

Eine nahezu unverschämte Bedienung ließ uns alle gemeinsam kaum Worte finden. Das konnte letztlich auch ein gutes Essen nicht wieder rausholen. Nicht zu empfehlen
