It's a shame that after decades, with the change of ownership, the Wiener Schnitzel has been removed from the menu. This means the fifth star is gone.

An impressive surprise. A greenhouse as a restaurant! Very inviting and great, delicious food. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Definitely recommended!

We always enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated since the change of ownership. The value for money here needs to be reconsidered. Smaller portions, convenience food... What a shame. This was our last visit for the time being.

We were there yesterday with our Weser Ems chapter and were absolutely thrilled. Everything was perfect, and at the end we got a round of drinks on the house. Highly recommended!

We only wanted to stay here during a rain shower. We ended up having a tarte flambée. Very tasty, but the staff felt like they didn't order enough. Not exactly cheap. Unfortunately, with the new owner, the ice cream isn't as delicious as it used to be.

Since the new owner, not much has changed on the outside. It's still a really nice atmosphere. The burgers are actually really good (fresh lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, delicious burger sauce, guacamole...), but the beef patties are really not good (pre-made patties). We expected better. The pan was quite good, but I felt there was a bit less variety in the vegetables.

Great restaurant! From the moment I walked in to the last bite, everything was perfect. The service was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The food is beautifully presented and of the highest quality; kudos to the chef! The ambiance was also stylish and cozy. You can tell the attention to detail goes into the work here. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant! The chef is also a very warm person. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The ambiance was very pleasant, and the appetizers – especially the soups and asparagus – were also really good. Unfortunately, the burgers couldn't keep up: The patty seemed heavily processed, was very intensely seasoned, and left much to be desired in terms of quality. My two companions had the same impression, so we sent our three burgers back almost untouched. The waiters asked, as usual, if everything was okay – but when we openly discussed the quality of the burgers, there was no response. We found this unfortunate and disrespectful. It also doesn't give us hope that the quality will improve in the future. We can't comment on the other main courses, but based on this experience, we won't visit the restaurant again and unfortunately can't recommend it to anyone.

We were at the ice cream parlor for the first time in four or five years and didn't know there had been a change of ownership. Looking at the menu, it was clear that a lot had changed. Dishes we had been looking forward to were no longer on the menu. Only the tomato soup was still on the menu, and yes, it still tasted just as it did back then – delicious. The beef burgers, however, were bottomless, primarily due to the patties, which were too heavy to bear. The patties looked like they had been pressed together from leftover meat. The taste was so bad that none of us – we all had burgers – wanted to eat our burgers, and our plates went back almost full. When asked if everything was okay, we said the meat wasn't good. This was accepted without comment. No questions asked about what was wrong, no apologies, nothing. The ice cream parlor is history. As the owners' response to a comment stated: everything has its time.

We were at the Ice Cream House today for a photo shoot followed by lunch. We received a very warm welcome, achieved fantastic photo results in the beautiful setting, and also enjoyed great food!

1/3 of the dishes are not recommended. We had burgers (cold, ready-made, soggy patties, not tasty), Breton tarte flambée (delicious), and a mixed grill (also good). The right choice makes the difference. Plenty of staff, but not enough service. The atmosphere is great; sit in the greenhouse and enjoy the sun.

New owner and everything is fine

First visit to the Glacehaus. Unfortunately disappointing!! The Glacehaus is well known and I was even more looking forward to the visit (Mother's Day). We had reserved a table, but when we arrived we were seated at an uncovered table between two tables that were already occupied, very narrow and uninviting. The tables appeared greasy and dirty, which didn't leave a good first impression. It was also noticeable that guests after us were allowed to freely choose their seats - that felt a bit unfair. The background noise was very loud, almost like in a canteen, which made the stay even less relaxing. When ordering, there were communication problems due to language barriers - I received a different dish than what I ordered, missing sauces were only brought after I had to explain them several times (unfortunately too late to be able to really enjoy them). There was also a similar misunderstanding at the next table. The friendliness of the staff and the good taste of the food are positive. Nevertheless, the feeling remains that the price and experience did not match here. Unfortunately it wasn't a perfect evening... what a shame.

In a nutshell - the new owners are now using Konvinion Food to warm up in the kitchen. You can see and taste it immediately!!! Top dishes such as crispy chicken, knuckle and real Viennese veal schnitzel were removed from the menu and replaced with burgers and fries. The Glacehaus was an institution for high quality food! In times when everything has become extremely expensive, we have decided that the new owners won't get rich from us. The service is top, no question! But you don't have to be fooled by the prices.

Went to the Glacehouse again. You can look forward to Kaiserschmarren and the typical, well-known menu. Unfortunately, we were surprised and not necessarily in a positive way. There has been a change of ownership and it has kept the same name. Well, it is also a greenhouse and the name fits. But of course that's not obvious. Only when you have the menu in front of you and the service staff are all wearing uniform clothing. There was a menu change and the service staff are also new. The service seemed a bit uncoordinated but still within limits. It was a bit funny when you get scared twice in the evening because of falling glasses. Happened. The waiting time for the food was a bit unusually long and it could have been a bit warmer overall. Now when asked why I didn't address it straight away. After such an evening, I didn't want to start another conversation with the service in front of my companion. I was not satisfied and disappointed because I had imagined the evening in the old glacehouse that I knew. I will think twice about going to the NEW Glacehouse again.

Always good and a new card after the apparent change of ownership. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no more crispy chicken and only one steak on the menu. Unfortunately, the acoustics are always very strenuous. The service is great, the team responds quickly and the kitchen did a wonderful job. I would say that the quality has increased in terms of taste. If you can handle the noise, you'll have a nice evening with friends here

What happened to the menu? I miss tapas and quality home cooking. That was always the reason for me to go to the Glacehaus. There was no need for this large selection of baked potatoes, finger food, steaks and schnitzels. I'm also wondering how to come up with baked banana. It's a shame that the new operators have changed the tried and tested concept of the Glacehaus. We're not coming anymore.

I was at Easter brunch in the Glass House with my family. The food was OK. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was probably stored in the same refrigerator as the cheese plates and had already taken on the cheese flavor. Not a big deal in itself, but there is one thing to complain about: the price! The internet says €29.50 per person and €16 for children under 12 for Sunday brunch. However, when paying we were told that on public holidays it costs €38 per person and €20 for children. This price was not advertised anywhere, and we were not informed of it when making a reservation - especially since the dishes are all on the Sunday brunch menu. I come from the catering industry myself and I find €8.50 as a holiday surcharge for the same menu as a rip-off - especially since it was not pointed out anywhere. The price-performance ratio is not right here. Therefore only 2 stars.

The Glacehaus is highly recommended – the brunch menu is particularly fantastic! The selection is diverse, fresh and lovingly prepared. Whether sweet or savory, there is something here for every taste. I would particularly like to emphasize the attentive and friendly service - you immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The ambience is modern and cozy at the same time, ideal for a relaxed start to the day or a meeting with friends. We'll definitely be back!

The perfect stopover on the way to Denmark. It's not just the vegan offering that's brilliant.

We went for a simple wiener Schnitzel since we rarely visit Germany. The suprise was the excellent salat with allot of taste and the pear (!!) which really gets the tastebuds working with this normally really boring dish 😃😃😃 As a desert the warm apple crumble cake with vanilla ice cream - really delicious!

A little loud but something different

Apart from the (in my opinion) higher prices, I can fully recommend the Glacehaus. The service was really great, the food was delicious 😋 but for the price it wasn't enough for my taste. The ambience is unique/great.

The burger looked good, but the beef was cooked as hard as a shoe sole. It was burnt and completely dry, making it almost impossible to cut. Luckily, I had ordered enough water, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to soften the meat in my mouth. The side of fries was poorly presented and rather flavorless.

Went to the Glacehouse again as a family. A special flair because, as the name suggests, it is made entirely of glass. Therefore bright and atmospheric. Even though it was full, we were served quickly and the food came relatively quickly. What surprised us, however, is the price-performance ratio. On the dish "Winter Plate Vegetables with Gnocci" there were 6 tomatoes, 2 fennel slices, 8 Brussels sprouts, 3 pumpkin strips and 2!!!!!!! Gnocci. The whole thing cost 22 euros. How can you list gnocci as a side dish on the menu when you find exactly 2 small (2cm large) gnocci on the plate? In my opinion, the other dishes were also too expensive or too little/too bland for the price. Sure, all the costs go up, but unfortunately we won't be able to get back like this any time soon. Unfortunately, the second beer we ordered didn't come either. It's a shame - we'll try again in six months.

Very nice restaurant with delicious food

We spent a wonderful evening at the Glacehaus Bad Oldesloe. We sat comfortably, the food was very tasty and the service was excellent. The young lady who served us was friendly, competent, helpful and cheerful. You can park right in front of the restaurant and the sanitary facilities were spotless. A perfect evening, thank you very much. Only the short staircase from the parking lot to the restaurant could be renewed. But that doesn't change our impression of the Glacehaus.

The Glacehaus in Bad Oldesloe is a restaurant in an old greenhouse. This makes it very loud when guests are talking. The service is quick and courteous, the food is delicious and there is something for all tastes. I would eat there again.

A great atmosphere, with very friendly staff, delicious food and a nice place to stay

The location was really nice and the food was generally very tasty. However, we found that the price-performance ratio was not right and after 3 courses each and over 100€ later we went home still hungry. Unfortunately, the portions were really small in each course and the prices were simply too high. As has been written many times in the reviews, the portion sizes will not have been an isolated case either. I was also a bit irritated by the salmon burger, which contained a deep-fried salmon patty for €23.50. I only know salmon burgers with salmon fillet and expect that too for the price. Given the pricing, I don't expect chipped edges of the plates and service that is simply even more attentive. All in all, we were disappointed because you can simply eat better and more filling food for the money, so unfortunately we won't be coming back.

We were passing through and were curious what the Glascehaus is like today, since we were here ten years ago. It's still as great as it was back then. The food was very tasty. We had roast beef and a farmer's breakfast. The roost beef was particularly good. The owner of this restaurant can be proud of his staff, very friendly and quick. We really liked that. All in all a successful stay. We would like to thank you for the lovely time we had at the Glacehaus were allowed to spend.

I've eaten here several times and the portions are continually getting smaller and the price is getting bigger. This time, just to be on the safe side, I ordered a vegetable plate for €21.50, unfortunately I didn't get anywhere near full of it, which I have already confirmed from others who have been regular customers there for a long time. That evening I had a voucher from the Corona period with me, but after checking it had expired after a month. I was told that unfortunately nothing could be done, even after contacting the manager, I was told that nothing could be done because “the books” were already closed. Then that's probably how it is... For us and our circle of friends, the Glacehaus will now remain closed.

Good morning. Everything was ok, nice pets, cozy atmosphere, food came to the table early...but the prices for the food, ohh. We had decided on the farmer's breakfast, so we have to say, dear chef; Please season a little more and fry the bacon cubes and onions. There's something else you can do to make it enjoyable. It wasn't the worst farmer's breakfast, but it wasn't in the middle range of taste either. Be careful that you have to pay extra for the cucumber. The side dish garnish could also get a bit of dressing/oil, it was simply too dry. We'll definitely come back and test whether it was a little helpful to make a statement here. Plenty of parking, great atmosphere, very attentive, friendly service. We can still work on preparing a farmer's breakfast, without onions and pickles, there was extra bacon and only jacket potatoes, no fried potatoes, more like a potato omelet. The lilac berry soup is a real hit.

The food is always fantastic. The changing menu always brings something new. For us, the selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes is particularly great.

Die Burger haben uns 6 überhaupt nicht geschmeckt (wir haben das Essen von jedem probiert) und die Soße dazu war geschmacklich eher nur Tomatenmark. Gerne bezahle ich mehr, wenn das Essen überzeugt. Hier war es leider gar nicht der Fall. Nur der Flammkuchen war in Ordnung. Schade, es war dann das letzte Mal für uns.....

Schönes Ambiente im ehemaligen Gewächshaus. Im Laufe des Abends nahm der Geräuschpegel mit zunehmender Gästezahl jedoch so sehr zu, dass die Verständigung mit dem Gegenüber mühsam wurde (möglicherweise ein Problem der Innenarchitektur und der Glaswände) Zum Essen: Ich bestellte eine "Grobe Bratwurst mit Kartoffelpürree und Rotkohl"für Euro 16,50. Die Kellnerin, die mir mein Essen an den Tisch brachte, verharrte kurze, fixierte meinen Teller und deutete kopfschüttelnd auf die Bratwurst: "Was ist das denn?" , fragte sie (rhetorisch) und auch ich betrachtete verstört das Servierte. Die Bratwurst entpuppte sich als eine Miniaturausgabe einer Bratwurst, nicht so klein wie ein typisches "Nürnberger Würstchen", jedoch deutlich kleiner als die typische Bratwurst. Anstatt den Teller zurückzugeben witzelte ich noch mit der Kellnerin und ergab mich dieser grotesken Sparmaßnahme. Schließlich hatte ich Hunger. Am Geschmack war nichts auszusetzen. Zum Wein: Vom Standard des 0,2 l - Glases Wein rückte das Glacehaus schon vor vielen Monaten ab: es gibt heute standardmässig nur 0,15 l je Glas und der Preis liegt deutlich über jedem Glas Wein in der Gastronomie der Region Oldesloe. Auch hier: groteske Sparmaßnahme. Meine Besuche im Glacehaus werden seltener.

Very comfortable, cozy furnishings. People are attentive, the food - in my case a farmer's breakfast - was plentiful and also well seasoned. Delicious, gladly again! Currywurst fries as well as fish or beef/pork etc. available. Looked delicious at the neighboring tables too. 😁

We had reserved a table, but the reservation was probably lost due to the 40th anniversary and despite everything, the waiter tried to get a place for us. Mini portions for a lot of money and bread served with them costs extra

Basically a great location and really great service and good food... BUT, in our opinion, the pricing is a bit excessive in one place or another, especially since there are no references to regional products or other arguments for the prices. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether and what the ambience is worth to them.

Das Ambiente war sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, aber die Preise völlig überteuert. Wir hatten Gnocchi, die gummiartig fest (offenbar Fertigprodukt), aber mit Pesto und gebackenen Kürbisspalten nett angerichtet waren, das Ganze (relativ kleine Portion) für über 17 €. Insgesamt ganz okay, für den Preis hätte man allerdings frische, selbst gemachte Gnocchi erwarten können. Der Kaiserschmarrn war überhaupt nicht fluffig, sondern sehr fest und übersüßt. Das alkoholfreie Hefeweizen (0,5 l) war für 6 € schon unverschämt teuer. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmte hier nicht.

We chose the restaurant because it is exactly halfway to our friends. First of all, I think it's a shame that dogs are not allowed in this restaurant. We usually take our dog with us everywhere and she lies relaxed under the table. We met there for the third and final time. We were already very dissatisfied on our last visit and asked ourselves today why we met again at the Glacehaus. I ordered linguine. When I was served this I realized that I had ordered noodles with scrambled eggs. When I asked, I was told that this is always done this way (including with carbonara) to avoid the risk of salmonella poisoning. Then you simply shouldn't offer such dishes. Unfortunately I didn't like the food and didn't eat it either. Instead of being offered another meal, I was offered a coffee on the house. No thanks, unfortunately it doesn't fill me up either. Well meant, but nothing more. Unfortunately, the fries tasted like old fat. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. The location itself is pretty, but nothing more. Too bad.

The Kaiserschmarrn 15€, almost every answer from the operator advertises the quality and great presentation of the food, unfortunately neither of these things fit, I travel to Austria every year, so I can say that this Schmarrn has nothing to do with Kaiserschmarrn! Dry, completely dark fried (to anticipate the operator's answer) that's certainly the case, after all it's caramelized (completely covered in sugar) and a normal coffee for almost €5 It works for them, the cost of goods sold for pancakes is already crazy high, I get it….

Wonderful place. Close to the Autobahn, it was a short detour. Extensive and complete menu. We ordered the Wiener Schnitzel. The dish is designed for one person, but we shared it between 2 people and were satisfied. The environment is beautiful, inside a plant greenhouse. Despite this, the temperature was pleasant (around 20º in August). Good music. There is parking in front.

We spontaneously drove past the glass house and stopped, unfortunately there was no more space on the terrace and since there were already two dogs inside, we were no longer allowed in with our dog. Then we're off to Röbls to Bargteheide...

Das Essen ist von sehr schlechter Qualität. Alles überteuert. Ein o,15 Wein für 8,50 Euro. Das anrichten der Speisen ist sowas von lieblos. Die Sitze unbequem und sehr laut im Lokal. Da ist aber auch kein Preis gerechtfertigt. Schade...es war mal vor Jahren ein sehr gutes Lokal. Wir gehen nicht mehr dort hin.

The Glacehaus is a wonderful and special place to meet friends, chat and eat really well! My favorite has always been the exotic salad, but the “new” changing dishes are also creatively thought out and beautifully prepared! Creativity and sustainability can also be paid for! More often than 2-3 times Unfortunately I can't make it this year, it's about time! But what I really like are the great, funny, sometimes ironic but true answers to some of the reviews. This was a really amusing read and I could really feel how many of the comments were shaking their heads and shaking their heads 😅wonderful.

It was a spontaneous visit while passing through Bad Oldesloe. From the first moment we were noticed attentively and treated with wonderful friendliness. The food and wine were extremely tasty and the very nice and dignified ambience rounded off our successful visit. We'll be back, promise!

I've been to the Glacehaus several times and it's always tasted very good. The ambience is really great, a cozy atmosphere in a former greenhouse. The service is always super friendly, really great employees. Children are always welcome, there is a small playground outside and a nice play area inside. Absolutely recommended!

Quote: “With us, bus drivers basically don’t get anything for anything else.” Crazy (Unique in S-H, if not in Germany.) The absolute opposite of other “restaurants” where you are showered with brochures... asking you to come back. From what feels like 1000 groups there isn't a hint of a recommendation from me and the group will of course do the whole thing. Shame on you!

The food is very tasty, but also very expensive. For a mixed salad with mozzarella, a lasagne dish, a specialty drink and half a liter of beer, the total was €48. The service was very friendly.

Yesterday I went to a class reunion at the Glacehaus that I organized. Since I have often been there as a guest at irregular intervals, I had a certain expectation. So, great location with lots of plants, pleasant atmosphere. All agreements made over the phone were implemented optimally. The food was hot and tasted good, but there could be improvements. The cloth napkins were surprising, that's not a given. The ladies in service deserve special praise. Fast, unobtrusive and still 100% efficient. Thank you very much for the great work that gave us a very nice evening.

Unfortunately, after about 35 years in the glass house, which I always enjoyed, it has now become too expensive for me. I now find the new prices cheeky. €8 for a glass of red wine (the cheapest) and then only 0.15 liters instead of the usual 0.2 liters. That might still be justified in Eppendorf, but Oldesloe? Too bad and goodbye
