Glacehaus in Bad Oldesloe

Schönes Ambiente im ehemaligen Gewächshaus. Im Laufe des Abends nahm der Geräuschpegel mit zunehmender Gästezahl jedoch so sehr zu, dass die Verständigung mit dem Gegenüber mühsam wurde (möglicherweise ein Problem der Innenarchitektur und der Glaswände) Zum Essen: Ich bestellte eine "Grobe Bratwurst mit Kartoffelpürree und Rotkohl"für Euro 16,50. Die Kellnerin, die mir mein Essen an den Tisch brachte, verharrte kurze, fixierte meinen Teller und deutete kopfschüttelnd auf die Bratwurst: "Was ist das denn?" , fragte sie (rhetorisch) und auch ich betrachtete verstört das Servierte. Die Bratwurst entpuppte sich als eine Miniaturausgabe einer Bratwurst, nicht so klein wie ein typisches "Nürnberger Würstchen", jedoch deutlich kleiner als die typische Bratwurst. Anstatt den Teller zurückzugeben witzelte ich noch mit der Kellnerin und ergab mich dieser grotesken Sparmaßnahme. Schließlich hatte ich Hunger. Am Geschmack war nichts auszusetzen. Zum Wein: Vom Standard des 0,2 l - Glases Wein rückte das Glacehaus schon vor vielen Monaten ab: es gibt heute standardmässig nur 0,15 l je Glas und der Preis liegt deutlich über jedem Glas Wein in der Gastronomie der Region Oldesloe. Auch hier: groteske Sparmaßnahme. Meine Besuche im Glacehaus werden seltener.

Very comfortable, cozy furnishings. People are attentive, the food - in my case a farmer's breakfast - was plentiful and also well seasoned. Delicious, gladly again! Currywurst fries as well as fish or beef/pork etc. available. Looked delicious at the neighboring tables too. 😁

A few scampis but otherwise very good

After a long time we were back at the Glacehaus. We had reserved a table, but the reservation was probably lost due to the 40th anniversary and despite everything, the waiter tried to get a place for us. Mini portions for a lot of money and bread served with them costs extra

Basically a great location and really great service and good food... BUT, in our opinion, the pricing is a bit excessive in one place or another, especially since there are no references to regional products or other arguments for the prices. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether and what the ambience is worth to them.

Das Ambiente war sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, aber die Preise völlig überteuert. Wir hatten Gnocchi, die gummiartig fest (offenbar Fertigprodukt), aber mit Pesto und gebackenen Kürbisspalten nett angerichtet waren, das Ganze (relativ kleine Portion) für über 17 €. Insgesamt ganz okay, für den Preis hätte man allerdings frische, selbst gemachte Gnocchi erwarten können. Der Kaiserschmarrn war überhaupt nicht fluffig, sondern sehr fest und übersüßt. Das alkoholfreie Hefeweizen (0,5 l) war für 6 € schon unverschämt teuer. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmte hier nicht.

We chose the restaurant because it is exactly halfway to our friends. First of all, I think it's a shame that dogs are not allowed in this restaurant. We usually take our dog with us everywhere and she lies relaxed under the table. We met there for the third and final time. We were already very dissatisfied on our last visit and asked ourselves today why we met again at the Glacehaus. I ordered linguine. When I was served this I realized that I had ordered noodles with scrambled eggs. When I asked, I was told that this is always done this way (including with carbonara) to avoid the risk of salmonella poisoning. Then you simply shouldn't offer such dishes. Unfortunately I didn't like the food and didn't eat it either. Instead of being offered another meal, I was offered a coffee on the house. No thanks, unfortunately it doesn't fill me up either. Well meant, but nothing more. Unfortunately, the fries tasted like old fat. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. The location itself is pretty, but nothing more. Too bad.

The Kaiserschmarrn 15€, almost every answer from the operator advertises the quality and great presentation of the food, unfortunately neither of these things fit, I travel to Austria every year, so I can say that this Schmarrn has nothing to do with Kaiserschmarrn! Dry, completely dark fried (to anticipate the operator's answer) that's certainly the case, after all it's caramelized (completely covered in sugar) and a normal coffee for almost €5 It works for them, the cost of goods sold for pancakes is already crazy high, I get it….

Wonderful place. Close to the Autobahn, it was a short detour. Extensive and complete menu. We ordered the Wiener Schnitzel. The dish is designed for one person, but we shared it between 2 people and were satisfied. The environment is beautiful, inside a plant greenhouse. Despite this, the temperature was pleasant (around 20º in August). Good music. There is parking in front.

Das Essen ist von sehr schlechter Qualität. Alles überteuert. Ein o,15 Wein für 8,50 Euro. Das anrichten der Speisen ist sowas von lieblos. Die Sitze unbequem und sehr laut im Lokal. Da ist aber auch kein Preis gerechtfertigt. Schade...es war mal vor Jahren ein sehr gutes Lokal. Wir gehen nicht mehr dort hin.

The Glacehaus is a wonderful and special place to meet friends, chat and eat really well! My favorite has always been the exotic salad, but the “new” changing dishes are also creatively thought out and beautifully prepared! Creativity and sustainability can also be paid for! More often than 2-3 times Unfortunately I can't make it this year, it's about time! But what I really like are the great, funny, sometimes ironic but true answers to some of the reviews. This was a really amusing read and I could really feel how many of the comments were shaking their heads and shaking their heads 😅wonderful.

It was a spontaneous visit while passing through Bad Oldesloe. From the first moment we were noticed attentively and treated with wonderful friendliness. The food and wine were extremely tasty and the very nice and dignified ambience rounded off our successful visit. We'll be back, promise!

I've been to the Glacehaus several times and it's always tasted very good. The ambience is really great, a cozy atmosphere in a former greenhouse. The service is always super friendly, really great employees. Children are always welcome, there is a small playground outside and a nice play area inside. Absolutely recommended!

From the perspective of the bus companies and to all bus drivers. And if you bring 100 guests. Quote: “With us, bus drivers basically don’t get anything for anything else.” Crazy (Unique in S-H, if not in Germany.) The absolute opposite of other “restaurants” where you are showered with brochures... asking you to come back. From what feels like 1000 groups there isn't a hint of a recommendation from me and the group will of course do the whole thing. Shame on you!

The food is very tasty, but also very expensive. For a mixed salad with mozzarella, a lasagne dish, a specialty drink and half a liter of beer, the total was €48. The service was very friendly.

We were just passing through, but this restaurant would definitely be a reason to just stay here. Yesterday I went to a class reunion at the Glacehaus that I organized. Since I have often been there as a guest at irregular intervals, I had a certain expectation. So, great location with lots of plants, pleasant atmosphere. All agreements made over the phone were implemented optimally. The food was hot and tasted good, but there could be improvements. The cloth napkins were surprising, that's not a given. The ladies in service deserve special praise. Fast, unobtrusive and still 100% efficient. Thank you very much for the great work that gave us a very nice evening.

Unfortunately, after about 35 years in the glass house, which I always enjoyed, it has now become too expensive for me. I now find the new prices cheeky. €8 for a glass of red wine (the cheapest) and then only 0.15 liters instead of the usual 0.2 liters. That might still be justified in Eppendorf, but Oldesloe? Too bad and goodbye

Unfortunately we went to the tapas evening (cream Catalana no sugar crust, dates in bacon=finished goods/ fish balls stretched with flour/Spanish potatoes were small fried potatoes/ etc. etc! For the price of 25€ I expected more and better quality! Because of the buffet there was just a small menu! E.g. asparagus with 60g of ham 37€, I think it's cheeky. But what's even more cheeky is that you're NOT allowed to smoke OUTSIDE, on the terrace - at least not in spring and summer - but smokers are allowed in winter and autumn Sit outside again and increase sales - very discriminatory!! One can only hope that the guests, because of which this BAN was introduced, also support the restaurant strongly!! We don't do this anymore - it's a shame as Mr. Winter! was still a host, it was very nice, a good and professional host!

The food was mostly good to very good. However, the salad with the schnitzel looked a bit bland. The atmosphere there is very nice, especially when the weather is nice, the part outside the greenhouse is highly recommended. The starter and dessert came super quickly and at the same time. However, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our two desserts (apple crumble and crème brûlée). All in all, a nice evening and still worth 5 stars.

Great location in the greenhouse. Good ingredients, regional. Had cutlet with potato gratin and beans. Yummy. Then something sweet, chocolate cake with vanilla sauce. Freshly baked, a poem. Creme Brulee, um, yes it was delicious. BUT!! A tiny bowl with 0.5cm of cream for €8.50??? Super nasty. Yes, it was good but 3 tablespoons of creme brulee for the price of €8.50 is way too much. The freshly baked chocolate cake with vanilla sauce also €8.50?? Not ok! I eat this cream very often but the Glacehaus has by far the smallest and most expensive dessert ever! Drinks good selection.

Here the chef makes an effort. Everything fresh and very tasty. The service is courteous and they respond kindly to special requests. The combination between plants and the glasshouse is very beautiful and fun to eat there.

We used to love coming here, but unfortunately the quality of the food has become very poor and is disproportionate to the prices charged here!!! ...completely dry, rubbery spare ribs, with flabby fries...half a portion for 20€!! A tiny portion of tagliatelle with a few pieces of salmon and oily, indefinable pesto for an incredible 25€...:( We pointed this out to the waitress, but she didn't show up again! Sorry, but that was really annoying! Very unfortunate!

Wir waren früher (seit 1995) sehr häufig im Glacehaus und es hatte uns immer sehr gut gefallen. Nun mal wieder nach vier Jahren, und wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Absolut zu hohe Preise für kleine Portionen, und dann noch mit schlechter Qualität. Bandnudeln mit Lachs für 25€ von denen selbst schlechte Esser nicht satt werden. Die Sparerips waren gefühlt dreimal im Ofen und so trocken, dass man sie nicht vom Knochen bekommen hat. Dazu Krautsalat wie von ALDI und Pommes für 26€!!!! Wir haben es bemängelt und zurückgeschickt, zunächst nur ein „oh tut uns leid, sollte nicht vorkommen“ und beim Bezahlen als Entschädigung Cappucino angeboten bekommen. Das geht gar nicht und wir waren das letzte mal im Glacehaus.

We stopped in for a cocktail and dessert, so I didn't try the food. But I think it should match the restaurant. The atmosphere there is second to none! The service is very responsive, smiling, professional. I recommend!!!

Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, despite the full house. The portions were sufficient and tasty. There were different menus that you could choose in advance when making the reservation (group) - starters plate, main course and desserts to choose spontaneously. Lovely again!!!

Seldom eaten so carelessly. Dare to doubt that the dishes are prepared by professional chefs. Spare ribs were served with bland tasting coleslaw, fried very dark without any decoration. Fries cost 3.50 extra. There was also mayo and a ready-made sauce. The water comes out of the tap and is bubbled up. Drinks are simply placed there and not given directly to the guests. "You know who wanted what and can divide it up".... That's not how I imagine it when I go out to eat. Everything is rather semi-professional.

The Glacehaus is visited by many different guests because of the great ambience. We, members of the Classic British Bike Club, Hamburg, stopped there for a final Capucino after a beautiful tour through the Plön lake landscape and the neighboring villages. However, we didn't eat, so I can't judge the food. The capucino, however, was good. The restaurant is generally quite popular, which is why it is well attended. The service is friendly and accommodating, which is why I can definitely recommend it.

The location is great, as is the service, but the food can't really keep up with the prices advertised. Our antipasti was a small rocket salad with peppers and mini champions, which is simply wrong for 15 euros. The kitchen turns out the simpler dishes much better than the more ambitious ones. I recommend avoiding the evening hours when large groups take over the restaurant, as the noise level can be extremely extreme. If that doesn't bother you, you can go there with a clear conscience.

We have been to the Glacehaus several times. No matter whether you come for lunch, a piece of coffee and cake or dinner, the conclusion is always the same. We would come again and again! The special ambience is of course a large part of the charm of the Glacehaus. But the quality of the food and the service are also a criterion for being able to recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Just too expensive for average food. Many things have to be paid extra, such as: B. Bread. Open wines are sold in 0.15 cl glasses at outrageous prices. The noise level was difficult for us to bear. Conclusion: It was the first and last time we ate there - we cannot recommend the restaurant!

We've been enjoying going to the Glacehaus for years. Yes, everything has become more expensive, but the prices there are now just outrageous. Now we'll go somewhere else.

Good address in Oldesloe. Interesting atmosphere. There is a bit of a draft in some corners due to the season. Super Service. Even small requests for changes were fulfilled. Food tastes delicious. In my opinion, however, the price is 3 - 5 euros (depending on the dish) too expensive.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr gegeben. Bedienung träge und unaufmerksam. Preise wie im 4* Restaurant, Portionen aber sehr übersichtlich. Wir hatten Rehrücken mit sage und schreibe 2 kleinen Stücken, nicht mehr als 120g, mit 10 Rosenköhlchen und 3 Esslöffel Kartoffelstampf für 34,00 €. Da passte bei der Bedienung und Location gar nichts im Verhältnis. Preise extrem gestiegen. Bei einigen Gerichten müssen Beilagen jetzt extra bestellt werden, so dass man kaum ein Gerichtunter 28,00€ p.P. erhält. Dafür stimmt einfach der Service und die geschmackliche Qualität nicht mehr. Schade.....

Of course there could be more vegan dishes for my taste, but it tastes good and on the other hand I'm happy that I don't have to order "extra sausage" because there are no vegan dishes. We'll definitely be happy to come back - the changing special menu is particularly impressive every time!

The food is OUTSTANDING!! Beer prices (and drinks prices in general) are even less so. There is no measure here; in a double sense. 6.50 for 0.5l Köpi, 7 euros for 0.4l Guinness! And then for normal industrial beers. If things continue at this rate, the Köpi will cost €8 in a year. Service, ambience, absolute class. But it would be desirable that the guests set an example.

The restaurant, well located on the B75 federal highway, has a rustic atmosphere. The menu mainly features good German cuisine. The food at Schneeberg was good. The service is good. The only thing: the price level is too high.

Unfortunately, the food did not correspond to what was offered on the menu. Käsespätzle were just dry, ready-made spaetzle from a bag gratinated with grated Emmental cheese. So to put it another way: bagged noodles were pre-cooked. These came into a large bowl with a lot of half-raw or under-sauteed onions. Grated cheese (probably Emmentaler) with little taste was then added to this mass and this construction was then pushed under the salamander to be gratinated. The noodles continue to dry out there, there is no taste at all... no cheese taste, no roasted aromas from the onions, the remaining spices were completely missing. Paying 17 EUR for gratinated cheap pasta with cheese and no taste at all is cheeky. (The cost of goods here is +/- 80 - 100 CENT!!! And the human effort is also quite minimal with this "don't cook" option) Sorry but that had nothing to do with cooking. In response to your answer, I have to tell you: it's better not to underestimate your guests. There could actually be some among them who have a certain knowledge of the industry. That's exactly why I find it almost insulting that you're trying to DONE spaetzle and bagged cheese (probably Emmental), which were clearly never brought together in a pan or pot, but were stacked in the bowl and then au gratinated with an excess of top heat, so to describe the cooked product of your kitchen. Excuse me, but do you think I'm stupid, colleague?! That was bad, simply and clearly bad! And when I read these attempts at explanation in your answer, you obviously stick to making light of a bad product with even worse craftsmanship. And don't worry: there's no competitor talking here. But a guest who does have a little knowledge of the industry. Actually, given this “manageable kitchen performance”, I feel sorry for the actually quite adequate service. However, service is not the benchmark for a visit to a restaurant, but rather a pleasant addition. Food should always be the main focus.
