Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food

Disappointing after the change of management: The previously unique dishes like crispy chicken or spicy pork are gone, along with the individuality of the once truly excellent chef. Instead, we now have unspectacular convenience food like in other restaurants. Would you drive all the way to Oldesloe just for the still-nice ambiance? - Not really if the food isn't up to scratch.

Now under new management, the menu has been expanded for the better. We had three different dishes at the table...and everyone enjoyed them. The service was excellent and very friendly. The ambiance hasn't changed...which means it can still be quite noisy in there.

Really cozy place. Delicious food and also space for the kids. There is a small playground out front, which is open to the parking lot, and also a play corner inside. There are cards, dice and drawing materials for the slightly older children.

New owners seem to have taken over the restaurant. The ambiance remains the same, but the menu has changed; it's not as tasty. A schnitzel with fries—well, for that price, I don't need to drive to OD anymore. My wife's dish was too salty. When we mentioned it, there was no reaction... That's why we went there from Hamburg 🤔

No longer recommended Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food Two people sat at a table next to a group of 15... very inconvenient, you couldn't even hear what was being said. Flammkuchen was dry and more like frozen food. Steak was unfortunately raw and never 250g, more like 180g. Croquettes were greasy and soft, and the bread was hard. Service couldn't understand why there was no tip... In short, we definitely won't be coming back. It's a shame, it used to be a really good place.

Unfortunately, the Bürger was very poorly put together. And not worth the money at all. I would never go there again.

We were there in a group of 10 people. The selection was okay and sufficient. The items you can order from the kitchen are something else entirely, but unfortunately, some of them take a very, very long time to arrive. Some items weren't particularly tasty either... for example, the spare ribs were served without marinade or BBQ sauce. The dessert, however, was completely convincing. All in all, a solid brunch, with a B rating.

Unfortunately it's not what it used to be, but it looks very nice and still tastes good.

Since the new owner, not much has changed on the outside. It's still a really nice atmosphere. The burgers are actually really good (fresh lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, delicious burger sauce, guacamole...), but the beef patties are really not that good. We expected better. The pan was quite good, but I felt there was a bit less variety in the vegetables.

Six of us were there yesterday. The atmosphere is lovely. We were all happy with our food. The staff was also very friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

We recently visited for the first time since the change of management. We only discovered this after looking at the menu (the excellent Wiener Schnitzel, among other things, was gone) and doing some research. My ordered dish was supposed to be served with a salad. This consisted of two lettuce leaves and a halved cherry tomato. The portion of fried potatoes was also a bit smaller in my opinion. The overall taste was good. Furthermore, the relatively inattentive service was noticeable. We're looking for alternatives in the region. Overall, only 3 out of 5 stars.

We went there almost every weekend before the change of ownership. This was our last time there. Unfortunately, nothing is the same as it used to be. All of our beloved dishes have been removed from the menu, and the service is also very poor. The new owners are nice and are certainly doing their best, but maintaining such a high standard is certainly not easy. The prices have remained the same, and the service and food simply don't justify it anymore. The food is okay, but for the price, I simply expect something different, just like it was before. The service is a bit disorganized and seems to quickly become overwhelmed with so few guests. What a shame! We always enjoyed coming here.

We had penne with prawns for €26 and a burger for just under €20. You can't say it was bad, but unfortunately, the price wasn't worth it at all. I have no idea if the owners have just changed hands, but somehow our expectations of the quality of the food were different, especially given the higher prices. It's a shame.

Very nice restaurant with good food

As a new resident of Bad Oldesloe, I've driven past this restaurant a few times and now stopped in for lunch with my friend. We were surprised by the overall ambiance and received very quick and friendly service. The food (2 pike-perch, 1 salmon) arrived after a reasonable wait and was delicious, beautifully presented, and freshly prepared. We were thoroughly satisfied, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this very special restaurant.

Since the change of management, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it, and it's no longer what it was for many, many years. The ambiance is still iconic (greenhouse), of course, but the food has deteriorated significantly and is also presented with less care. We used to go there often and enjoyed it, but we won't be coming back.

Highly recommended. Good food, German cuisine, no frills on the menu. If you like steaks, this is the place to go.

Wow! I absolutely recommend this fantastic restaurant! We had a truly wonderful, perfect evening. You feel like you're in a little fairyland in the glass house with its trees and fairy lights. Great ambiance, lovely, relaxing music. And the food was absolutely delicious! Over three vegan options and many vegetarian dishes available. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly prepared. Generous portions and super-friendly waitresses. The ambiance, service, and food were top-notch! A clear recommendation for a pleasant, cozy, and romantic evening. I recently went there for dinner again after a long break. To my great surprise, I discovered that with the change of ownership, my beloved grilled knuckle had also disappeared from the menu. My alternative meal was very tasty, but unfortunately the portions were quite small. I think that for a price of almost €30, you should at least be full. At the end of my last visit, I wanted to return the packaging for the takeaway dishes. Unfortunately, this was no longer possible due to the change of ownership (so you are stuck with the €10 deposit). The atmosphere is, as usual, very nice and cozy. Unfortunately, this was my last visit for a while. I used to love going there regularly. What a shame!

The food is good and the restaurant is nice. We've been there several times, but this was the first time with a small group (20 people). The service was a bit overwhelmed. The drinks were taken quickly, the food took what felt like an eternity, and then it took another long time for us to place our food order. The food also took a long time to arrive. From arrival to payment, over three hours passed, which is too long.

I've always enjoyed visiting the Glashaus in Bad Oldesloe, so I was all the more excited about the changes brought about by the new owners. The transition couldn't have gone better. The familiar charm, quality, and warmth have remained, and that's precisely what is so impressive. You can tell that professionals are at work here, continuing with sensitivity and respect what guests appreciate about the Glashaus. At the same time, they're bringing a breath of fresh air without changing the atmosphere. I'm very much looking forward to many more visits and wish the new team continued success! A true stroke of luck for Bad Oldesloe.

First of all: Sitting outside is absolutely lovely, especially in the evening sun. Drinks and starters arrived relatively quickly. However, we had to wait almost 75 minutes for the main course. As an apology, we were promised bread to snack on. What we got: four slices of baguette for seven people. The food ranged from very good to okay to boring. The adult schnitzel was only slightly larger than the children's schnitzel, but twice as expensive. The service was friendly and always attentive; the extremely long wait was first explained to us as a system error, then as understaffing.

So far everything is good but the portions are very clear

Glacehaus Special Steak Plate: 4 pieces of dry meat (one of which was a patty). It looked good, but nothing more. The fish dish lacked flavor. The burger was delicious.

Even after the change of ownership, the service is very good and the quality of the food has remained at the same level.

A lovely restaurant in a former greenhouse, very bright and airy, with an outdoor terrace. Fun interior design! We had the farmer's breakfast – very tasty, beautifully presented, and a generous portion! The staff is very friendly and attentive. A lunch menu is available Monday to Friday. The only downside: The house music is too loud – but it was turned down upon request.

This was our second visit since the change of management. The first time, the food was okay apart from a few mix-ups, but the service was abysmal. Inattentiveness was the order of the day. It was much better before. The second time, the portions for our group were significantly reduced, and I had a burger where the bullette, without the sauces, had a nasty, sour, strong taste that stayed with me for several hours at home. Not only did the bullette have a shoe-sock-like consistency, the taste was truly awful. Even our companions who tried it found it rather unpalatable. Of course, I pointed this out right away, and my friend who tried it confirmed it. No explanation from the waiter about how the bullette was prepared helped; without the sauces, which initially masked the flavor so you didn't notice it right away, it was simply disgusting. So as not to completely ruin the evening, we ordered dessert anyway. You can't go wrong there, and that was fine. But hey, that was the second and last time. The ice cream parlor's menu selection was reduced under the previous operator, but the quality and service were always top-notch.

Attention, change of ownership ⚠️ We were more than disappointed!! 😞 Unfortunately, it's only "canteen level" with expensive prices. We had an over-salted fried schnitzel with soggy fries and a burger with a pre-made patty and sandy salad.

Inside, there are a few mature trees. Shortly after our arrival, it started to rain heavily. Very cozy when the rain patters on the roof. However, you shouldn't be too sensitive to noise. The food was good. But not spectacular. That has unfortunately changed since the change. The menu is unspectacular, with randomly interchangeable dishes. Schnitzel, burgers, etc. We had a Wiener Schnitzel and chili sin carne. Well-crafted. But unfortunately, nothing more. If you're looking for a cozy restaurant with a nice and unusual atmosphere, this is the place. If you're looking for exceptional food, this is unfortunately not the place.

It's a shame that after decades, with the change of ownership, the Wiener Schnitzel has been removed from the menu. This means the fifth star is gone.

We only wanted to stay here during a rain shower. We ended up having a tarte flambée. Very tasty, but the staff felt like they didn't order enough. Not exactly cheap. Unfortunately, with the new owner, the ice cream isn't as delicious as it used to be.

The food is beautifully presented and of the highest quality; kudos to the chef! The ambiance was also stylish and cozy. You can tell the attention to detail goes into the work here. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant! The chef is also a very warm person. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The ambiance was very pleasant, and the appetizers – especially the soups and asparagus – were also really good. Unfortunately, the burgers couldn't keep up: The patty seemed heavily processed, was very intensely seasoned, and left much to be desired in terms of quality. My two companions had the same impression, so we sent our three burgers back almost untouched. The waiters asked, as usual, if everything was okay – but when we openly discussed the quality of the burgers, there was no response. We found this unfortunate and disrespectful. It also doesn't give us hope that the quality will improve in the future. We can't comment on the other main courses, but based on this experience, we won't visit the restaurant again and unfortunately can't recommend it to anyone.

We were at the ice cream parlor for the first time in four or five years and didn't know there had been a change of ownership. Looking at the menu, it was clear that a lot had changed. Dishes we had been looking forward to were no longer on the menu. Only the tomato soup was still on the menu, and yes, it still tasted just as it did back then – delicious. The beef burgers, however, were bottomless, primarily due to the patties, which were too heavy to bear. The patties looked like they had been pressed together from leftover meat. The taste was so bad that none of us – we all had burgers – wanted to eat our burgers, and our plates went back almost full. When asked if everything was okay, we said the meat wasn't good. This was accepted without comment. No questions asked about what was wrong, no apologies, nothing. The ice cream parlor is history. As the owners' response to a comment stated: everything has its time.

Has the potential to become one of my favorite restaurants also wonderful food there
