Richard Neumeister Gaststätte in Garrel

This is my first time in Garrel, and I wanted to strengthen my resolve. The few pictures that were published practically convinced me...but... Choosing this was the wrong decision. I ordered grilled lamb, chicken, rice, and salad. I wasn't impressed with the taste; only the lamb was okay. The chicken, or rather, the chicken skewer, was tasteless, and most of the rice was hard (maybe the last one...) and had little flavor. If you want to wash your hands, you have to use the restroom, where unfortunately, no hand towels are provided. What also bothered me was that they only accept cash payments, even though there was a large sticker on the door listing the acceptable payment methods (EC and similar). Of course, they could have put up a note saying they only accept cash. I've eaten in more than 50 similar restaurants. I've always been asked after the meal whether everything was okay, whether everything was good, whether everything tasted good. Today, that wasn't the case. They just take money. I think customer satisfaction counts a bit. That is my honest opinion and everyone has to decide for themselves.

We were only there to eat. The service was slow but the food was delicious.

Stopped in from Dortmund this afternoon. What chaos. High prices, cold fried potatoes for €24 with schnitzel was too expensive. With four people, my mom ordered plaice. She got her food 20 minutes later, by which time we were finished. As an apology, she was promised ice cream. It was a bubblegum ball of cheap vanilla ice cream. We couldn't believe it! We'll never set foot in the courtyard again. Have a nice Sunday.

The food was subpar chicken from Bofrostmann hot and hot on the outside Frozen inside, I don't understand the reviews I read before, better food must have been served and I was just unlucky, I don't eat there anymore.

Wonderful hotel with a great restaurant.
