Frischehof Döpke in Garrel

We had dinner from the buffet this evening. Quality, selection, service, everything is GREAT. We'd love to come back!!

There were 5 of us eating, all 5 dishes were cold and tasteless, the only taste there was was the hollandaise sauce. Pork schnitzel with no taste, the boiled potatoes tasted neither of potatoes nor of salt, and the asparagus was also tasteless. Broccoli in a broccoli chicken dish was not cooked through, and the spices were also kept away from this dish. There was a vegetable meatball that looked like organic waste scraped together and, like everything else, tasted like nothing but powder. Fried potatoes had the same taste as the boiled potatoes and looked very similar. The staff tried to be friendly, but were unconvinced about returning the food and tried to argue. We were told that the asparagus is only steamed when people complained about it being tasteless (no excuse not to use spices throughout the meal). However, the returned food was taken off the bill, which was a positive thing. Despite this, €22.90 for 4 half boiled potatoes, 12 pieces of asparagus, a vegetable meatball and hollandaise sauce (everything without spice or taste, and cold) is too much.

Very nice “farm shop” with a restaurant where you can have a very good breakfast. The cakes are absolutely amazing!

Mega delicious food. We had schnitzel with fried potatoes and egg, schnitzel with croquettes, kale with mega tender smoked pork and hot salt potatoes, pollack with super good fried potatoes and chicken nuggets with fries. The service was extremely friendly and gave the children something to paint with. Highly recommended and thank you to the kitchen for this great meal. Will definitely eat there again. We stop here every time on the way to the North Sea. There is a nice playground for the children and the shop offers refreshments and local specialties.

All the stars deserved. The apple pie was still warm and very tasty. You can also buy good regional products in the small shop. Unfortunately, the muesli, for example, was expired.

Well looked after, always! And always fresh food/cakes/drinks. Service friendly and quick, always happy again. In 2024 we will be going on autumn vacation for the fourth time and will always be guests several times. The farm shop is also an insider tip!

Very nice to buy fresh things from the farmer. But there are also many other small businesses. The quality was good. The prices are a bit too high.

Of course, a lunch menu is always just a flash, but here at least it's a consistently positive one! Soup, neck steak with pepper sauce (with fresh pepper pieces!!) and fries, as well as curd dessert with fresh strawberries. Also included was the salad buffet with 7 or 8 different salads (not industrial ready-made products either, but our own preparation from fresh vegetables!!) And all of this for an extremely fair €12.60!! Sometimes a flash is enough to make a good impression!!

A great farm where there is a great farm shop where we also shopped. Afterwards we also ate in the restaurant. Everything is very friendly and rustically furnished. Keep it up!

I went to the Flammkuchen buffet at Frischehof Döpke with three colleagues. We were thrilled! The service staff was quick and friendly, she asked all of our curious questions and answered them confidently. The selection and variety of tarte flambées was surprisingly large and each one was a taste experience. For the classic tarte flambée with bacon and onions, there was also Mediterranean, with salmon, feta and much more. filled tarte flambée. A clear recommendation for every tarte flambée lover who wants to discover inspiration for new variations.

Arrogant employee (boss). I wanted to buy strawberries at the farm shop and they were almost all rotten... I asked if I could choose the best ones to take home, because for the price of €8.40/kg they had to be of high quality or at least edible.. .He simply told me to buy it from another store. I don't recommend this place... it's expensive and has no quality

Very good food, very nice service, reasonable prices.

Today, 1430 ate at table 1. Shop opposite otherwise empty. Waited 45 minutes for the listless food. Beef soup, small cup, 6.50 but where was beef in it?! Schnitzel with fries, schnitzel worked like that, fries soft and mushy. Sauce tasteless. Then I ordered another Coke, which only took 15 minutes. All in all, never again! Mind you, there were less than 20 guests in the restaurant at that time!

The food is excellent. We were in the awning which wasn't that appealing. The prices are reasonable. I would eat there again and again.

I stopped there because I thought I could buy the fruits and vegetables grown there. I was just in the shop, I didn't eat anything there. There is a very colorful selection of products there, like in any supermarket. The prices are so different from them that I didn't even buy a little something. The store is narrow, confusing and overcrowded with products. I didn't even last 5 minutes in the store. The restaurant's food seemed to appeal to the older crowd, at least there were a lot of people sitting on the terrace.

We drove to the farm on the way to the Netherlands. Arrived in the evening, a great place under the trees. In the morning we got breakfast from the farm shop and had it with a view of the goats. The kids had fun on the playground and in the corn maze. The main road didn't bother us.

Service very good! Food was tasty and came on time. Unfortunately the farm shop was already closed at 6 p.m. Is stored incorrectly on Google, correct on the homepage.

It's OK, but not really that special. We, a moped group from Oldenburg, were there for breakfast and there at 10 a.m. on a Saturday. Got a table for 6 people, so far everything was fine. Studied the breakfast PDF and decided on a farmer's breakfast. It might work if you're alone, but if you're in a group, there's a basket for everyone, no matter what the others have ordered, apart from individual rolls of course. But oh well. There was a real bit of food envy because the bread/rolls were running out, but when asked, there were actually 3 slices of bread left so that the cold cuts could be eaten. WOW - Yippee. Overall still OK, but price/performance is really worth considering. Getting enough coffee works, you get a 1 liter thermos flask. The SERVICE cube is well thought out, but occasionally it didn't work for us - a bit strange, but the operation probably already knew that.

The many 5er reviews probably come from people who are regular customers here. Food quality is more of a snack level. Not very tasty and that's why you hold back on spices. The service is ok. Toilet without soap. You can do it on your way to the North Sea, but otherwise it's not recommended because the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all.

On Saturday we ate a la cartè in the restaurant. The schnitzel with fried potatoes were also very tasty. We liked the ambience in the restaurant a little better than in the farmer's café, but the service was very good in both areas

On September 2nd, 2023 we had the pleasure of having dinner at Frischehof Doepke for the third time with various tour groups. This restaurant truly deserves a recommendation. When we visited, two tables were prepared for our group of 24 people. The food and drinks were served quickly and the extremely friendly staff were always available to accommodate any special requests. We were all equally impressed by the culinary delights that were offered to us here. It's hardly surprising that inquiries are already being made about when we'll dine there next. The Frischehof Doepke is undoubtedly an excellent choice and proof that first-class gastronomy can be successfully implemented on a large scale. We would like to thank you very much for this great experience and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Delicious food, you can also spend the night there with a camper, 8 euros for space, electricity and a clean toilet, unfortunately no showers, but it is also not a nice campsite for 1 night.

Everything was very clean and easily accessible for wheelchair users and there was a disabled toilet. The food was very good, the asparagus was super tasty and the schnitzel was breaded delicious and spicy.

The breakfast was delicious but the waiting time is unacceptable. We were there more often before Corona and you always had to wait a bit. Coffee and drinks were served quickly. However, I don't understand why you have to wait almost an hour for a cold cuts platter with a few rolls and scrambled eggs. The service person told us that it would be the last breakfast that would be prepared because breakfast was only available until 11 a.m. It's just stupid that breakfast is offered online until 12:30 p.m. This hint was simply ignored. When paying, I complained about the extremely long waiting time. The service person just said that others had waited patiently for 1 1/2 hours and she had told us that it would take time. Unfortunately, that's a lie. We also noticed how other guests complained about the long waiting time. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

A great farmers market that stands out particularly for its fresh strawberries and asparagus. I was able to convince myself of the cultivation in his polytunnel, where bumblebees and other beneficial insects ensure pesticide-free cultivation in every area. Extremely unfriendly, unprofessional service, senior portion costs an additional 1 euro because of a change in order, schnitzel was completely dry with a thick, greasy breading, far too many fries, but a small spoonful of salad with ready-made dressing. Leide waren es viel zu viele Tische und Leute für den Raum. Die Schlange zum Buffet stand um die essenden Leute und deren Tische herum. Es war auserdem viel zu heiß in den Raum, der eher einer Kantine glich. Außerdem waren einige der Schnitzel noch roh. Wir sind Ende Juni nochmal da und hoffen, dass sich bis dahin etwas geändert hat. Die Saucen und der Spargel waren sehr lecker. Wenn sich etwas an der Organisation ändert, würde ich es weiterempfehlen

Today I was very disappointed because of the crowd and the stress in the kitchen. The schnitzel could have been fried a little longer and the fried potatoes were almost raw, very fatty and barely fried.

When the weather was nice, we ordered an asparagus menu with three types of ham. After only a short wait, a large portion of asparagus (12 sticks for each) was served as a side dish of boiled potatoes and a large platter of delicious ham and hollandaise sauce. The menu was very tasty and reasonably priced. Pleasant outdoor ambience. We found the music coming from the speakers above us disturbing. We would have preferred to do without it and listen to nature. Overall, we were satisfied and would happily recommend the restaurant.

Excellent food with many seasonal products. Generally a slightly long wait for the food to be served. Next to the restaurant is a shop where delicious products are sold. The strawberry vanilla jam is highly recommended.
