Beetles, chaos, disaster 👎 Even upon arrival, despite the clear information in our package booking, the hotel refused us dinner, citing a "system error." One sauna was completely out of service, and another was partially unusable. The receptionist's response: "That's just how it is." There was neither an apology nor a refund for the booked and paid time due to the lack of available sauna facilities. Beetles in the room are apparently not uncommon due to the proximity to the forest, but seeing them in the restaurant and at the breakfast buffet is not pleasant. The options for using the relaxation areas after sauna sessions were limited. The already insufficient number of loungers were constantly reserved by users. Even requests from staff to vacate the loungers when not in use were only partially heeded. There simply wasn't enough space for all guests. The hotel explained that this is just how it is during certain weeks of the year. No action was taken to rectify the situation, and complaints were dismissed. The next day at reception, we were told that the staff hadn't removed the items because they weren't allowed to. Again, there was no apology, and this obvious overwork was not handled well. The room is now only cleaned every three days. This is justified as sustainability, but in reality, it's probably cost-cutting or due to staff shortages. Overworked staff, inadequate facilities in the sauna area, very unprofessional handling of complaints, and numerous inconsistencies. As a result, the obligatory question about our stay wasn't asked at check-out. Many of these complaints are known or have already been raised, but they were clearly not read or understood. We will not be returning.

What a wonderful stay! The hotel is extremely comfortable and offers superb service – the staff was attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious and delightful every single day. The spa area is beautifully designed and perfect for relaxation. A small suggestion: the swimming pool is a bit small, and the whirlpool could be warmer in winter for even more comfort during the colder months. Aside from that, the hotel is simply fantastic, with a wonderful setting that invites you to take walks and explore. I'd love to come back!

The double room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a wide selection and the quality was excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good. The menu was small, perhaps with slightly higher prices, but you can expect above-average quality. The spa area is very large and spotlessly clean, with various saunas, a swimming pool, and plenty of relaxation options – simply wonderful! We were absolutely delighted with the hotel and will definitely be back!

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Heidegrund and can highly recommend it. The seminar rooms are bright, well-equipped, and pleasantly designed – ideal for focused work and productive meetings. The rooms were also comfortably furnished and offered plenty of space, making you feel right at home. The entire hotel has a spacious layout, with lovely paths around the grounds that are perfect for relaxing walks. The only slight drawback was the culinary experience: The dishes were beautifully presented, but the flavor lacked that final touch. I would have preferred a bit more care and higher quality, especially with the meat. With a few adjustments in the kitchen – a little more seasoning, freshness, and attention to the ingredients – the overall experience would be perfect. All in all, a very pleasant hotel with a welcoming team and a beautiful setting. I would gladly return!

A few suggestions for our next visit: we would appreciate a selection of different pillows (something for every sleeping style), as well as longer sauna towels (around 2 meters) and larger food bowls for dogs. We were very satisfied with our stay. The staff everywhere were incredibly friendly, the food was good (albeit at a premium hotel prices), the spa area was top-notch, and the location was simply fantastic. The surrounding solitude is absolutely beautiful and completely relaxing; you can truly unwind here and enjoy nature and wellness. The fact that some people reserve loungers in the spa area is cheeky. We simply moved them aside without comment, not caring if anyone complained—no one did, and we only received one embarrassed/caught-out look. This definitely won't be our last visit. Many thanks to the entire team! We do have a few minor criticisms, though. The padded pillows are not appropriate for a four-star superior hotel. I have no idea when hotels will finally realize that this is absolutely terrible. Who seriously sleeps well on five small clumps of cotton wool that quickly clump together in such pillows? Furthermore, the sauna towels could be longer. It's impossible for a person of average height to lie stretched out.

My mother and I spent a wellness weekend here, having booked a package deal. The room was very large, the bed comfortable and also large. There was plenty of storage space in the bathroom, something often lacking in hotels. The sauna and spa area were absolutely top-notch! Unfortunately, even here, you're not protected from the towel reservations, and the hotel doesn't do anything about it – so we couldn't find a lounger, and their "owners" were in the sauna for hours. That was really annoying. The three-course meal was delicious, with a choice of meat, fish, and vegetarian options. Soup and dessert were fixed. The portion was rather small, unfortunately; I know my partner would never have been satisfied. There were an unbelievable number of waiters running around, yet it seemed as if one hand didn't know what the other was doing. Sometimes a drink didn't arrive at all, or one only after half an hour. At times, we were ignored for hours, and then at other times, we were asked every two minutes if everything was alright. A little more coordination is needed here. It's a shame that you couldn't rent bicycles at the hotel.

I will visit this lovely hotel again.

The wellness area was overcrowded, even with day guests who had reserved indoor loungers, and we couldn't find a spot. Unfortunately, it was raining outside and everything was wet. Upon arrival, we weren't given a particularly friendly welcome. The girl at the reception desk was a bit cold and irritable, and I had to keep asking questions and wasn't properly explained, as is appropriate on a first-time visit. During our stay, the rooms weren't cleaned, the towels weren't changed, and worst of all, they didn't even dispose of the rubbish. The quality of the restaurant was disproportionate to the price.

We absolutely loved it here. We stayed at the Hotel Heidegrund for two nights and really enjoyed it. The reception was friendly, and we were given a welcome glass of Prosecco. Our room was super nice, clean, and had a view and balcony overlooking the forest. Our room looks very new. We also really liked the spa area. Children are only allowed until 3 p.m., which made us wonder why they didn't make the area adults-only 🙈 (nothing against children, but it's not designed for that anyway). We each had an aroma oil massage, which was also really great! Highly recommended. The breakfast was also great, and we ate at the hotel one evening, which was also fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The area is also really nice for walking. All in all, we thought it was fantastic and will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Heidegrund! 🌿🐾 A particularly positive aspect: Dogs are truly welcome here – you immediately feel at home with your four-legged friend. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The spa and sauna area is a real highlight, perfect for relaxation. The location in the middle of nature is also simply wonderful. One small downside: The room was a bit warm, and unfortunately, there were no fly screens on the window, which meant that lots of mosquitoes came in whenever you wanted to leave the window open. Friendly welcome, but unfortunately, we only had a standard room with a dog. A blanket, bowls, toys, and treats were provided for the dog (though dogs also cost €25 per night). The wellness area was far too crowded on Saturday, and the saunas were very small. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was also good. The service in the dining area could be better. Especially if you're sitting outside, you sometimes have to ask for someone inside. All in all, a nice stay with room for improvement.

We were just at the Heidegrund restaurant for dinner. My pork medallions had almost no sauce, so I asked a very young waitress for some more. She then left and didn't come back. You can't let them know when they're out of sauce. Absolutely unprofessional behavior. The food was too expensive for the high price and the quality was mediocre.

A beautiful hotel for a wellness vacation. I spent a wonderful weekend here with a few friends. There are many different saunas for relaxing and unwinding. The salt sauna is highly recommended. The indoor relaxation area with a waterbed and comfortable loungers offers the opportunity to unwind. The highlight was the two evenings with a three-course menu. In addition to a delicious starter, we had a choice of a fish, meat, or vegetarian main course and a sweet dessert. The staff in the restaurant was very accommodating and attentive; thanks to Ms. W. for the wonderful service.

This was the second time we'd registered for a conference there. Last year, I thought, oh, how nice everyone is here. I had that feeling again. We've rarely slept so peacefully. The forest next to the hotel is inviting for a walk. The basement has a wellness area with a pool and sauna. The food is plentiful and tasty. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The only downside for me is the high-tech lighting system. I guess I'm too blonde for that. Just a little light on wasn't possible. It would either be a bear's butt from the inside or a bright nuclear flash. But we'd still love to come back.

Unfortunately, the room is dated, and there was slight mold growth in the bathroom. For me personally, this would be a reason to look for an alternative. However, since it was a business trip, this was less of a problem. Despite the room shortcoming, the overall impression of the Hotel Heidegrund remains positive, especially thanks to the excellent staff and the wonderful surroundings. It is certainly worth considering for future stays, perhaps in a different room.

Very relaxing Well-equipped, clean rooms with everything you need. We had a balcony on the top floor with a beautiful view. It was very quiet in all parts of the hotel. The sauna area is partially new and very well-maintained. The textile area in the middle of the wellness area is unusual. Various relaxation areas are available both inside and outside. There are plenty of loungers outside, but unfortunately, some people reserve them with a towel. The sauna towels provided by the hotel are unfortunately too small for taller people; you might want to bring your own or use two. The restaurant is very cozy, stylishly furnished, but the air conditioning is a bit chilly. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and extremely attentive at all times. Special requests were also immediately and beautifully accommodated. The food is very good and should definitely be enjoyed. A picture or words cannot describe it. The desserts are also not to be missed. The breakfast is very good, and the selection is extensive. I can't find anything negative to say. It was very nice and relaxing.

My boyfriend and I spent three wonderful days at the hotel. We booked a full-body massage, and it was wonderful! The hotel is beautifully situated in the countryside, and the surroundings are also beautiful. The breakfast had everything you could need. Overall, I give it a 10/10. We will be back.

A beautiful, spacious hotel complex with a wonderful outdoor pool area and friendly staff. Ideal for cyclists and hikers. Excellent bike storage. However, there are many small things that are not right at all. The room was very dated, the window was difficult or impossible to close, there was no mosquito net, the toilet brush holder was broken and constantly falling off, and the carpet was stained. At 5:45 a.m. on a Friday morning, there was a very loud fruit truck and a lot of banging. The breakfast buffet could be improved; it was the same every morning; egg dishes were hard and dry, and the salt shaker was constantly empty. The time management for dinner was not good at all; the burger dish took 70 minutes to arrive. In conclusion, a lot needs to be done to ensure guests are satisfied.

This time we were only slightly disappointed with the housekeeping, as the room was not cleaned at all at first and then only sparingly, despite leaving a generous tip (the trash cans and ashtrays on the terrace were not emptied). At breakfast, I missed a glass of Prosecco or Cava. Otherwise, a great location with excellent staff.

For two days at a workshop without an overnight stay. I can't comment on the rooms. But I find the hotel very exclusive. It's in a quiet location, and you can find time for a walk. The food was very good, and all the staff are very friendly. Even though I'm from the area, I would book a night.

After spending several nights at the Hotel Heidegrund, the hotel's new building is particularly noteworthy. For a minimal surcharge, you get a significantly more modern, brighter, and overall more appealing room than the existing one. The difference is definitely worth it. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired – very varied and of high quality. The breakfast room is also stylish and inviting. The spa area is spacious and very beautiful, especially the outdoor area with its natural pond, which is a great place to relax. The interior, on the other hand, seems a bit convoluted and less inviting, but still solid. Another plus point: There are charging stations for electric cars available. Golfers will also appreciate the nearby golf course. In conclusion: A very pleasant stay with a high level of relaxation.

Always friendly and accommodating. The room was well-equipped and lacked nothing. We were a little annoyed that the water pipes from the neighboring rooms were very loud and that the mosquito/fly screens were installed but not airtight. Nevertheless, we would love to come back and can recommend the hotel for a relaxing break.

We've been there several times and have always been more than satisfied. Very nice rooms, a great area, and delicious food. We just find it a bit of a shame that dogs are no longer allowed in the restaurant. There are certainly good reasons for this change, but unfortunately, it's very inconvenient for us, which is why we wouldn't bring our dog again. Previously, it was by far the most dog-friendly hotel we've ever stayed in.

Almost no main course costs less than €20; please avoid the €26.90 buffet. The veal medallions are tough, the tortellini is overcooked, and the salads are pre-made. The location is good and the scenery is charming.

We come here every year to relax and leave everyday life behind us. We especially look forward to the great SPA area with a total of 5 saunas. An indoor pool, whirlpool and a natural outdoor pond invite you to linger and relax. We always feel completely at home when we visit the Hotel Heidegrund.

Eating in the restaurant is highly recommended. The menu was outstanding. Facility well maintained. Location is really great, right in the forest with many hiking trails and bike tours. Great shelter for the bikes we brought with us. Very large parking lot. All in all a great stay that brought a lot of relaxation. We'll be back!!!

The hotel boasts a fantastic, quiet location. It offers ample parking, bright rooms, a fantastic breakfast buffet, and a large, well-maintained spa area. This hotel is highly recommended for a break from everyday life.

The double rooms in the main building are well-maintained, but somewhat dated... The carpet needs replacing. The wellness area is top-notch, the location is beautiful in nature. The evening menu is very tasty, but the portions are unfortunately limited. The staff is very friendly.

Unfortunately, our overall stay at the hotel was disappointing, especially with regards to the spa area and dinner. First of all, we booked the extension of the spa area on the day of arrival so that we could enjoy our time in the wellness area. But this stay was anything but relaxing. It was almost impossible to get a lounger as the area was overcrowded. The saunas were also so full that we couldn't find any space. Instead, we sat for 30 minutes by a pool with a water temperature of only 25 degrees. When we asked reception how the situation with the loungers could be resolved, we were simply told that the problem was known - without any solution or compensation. After 40 minutes we left the spa disappointed. When we checked out, we raised the issue again and were at least offered a 40 euro credit for the spa area, which was a small step in the right direction, but didn't completely improve the overall experience. Dinner was also a disappointment. A burger for 25 euros initially sounds acceptable if the quality is right. But the dish served was more of a fast food standard: a ready-made bun, a carelessly prepared patty, 3 leaves of arugula and a sauce that only tasted like mustard. When we asked the waiter in a friendly manner, he simply showed us the menu to show us what was on offer - but that didn't change the fact that the price was disproportionate to the quality. In summary, our stay fell short of our expectations. Even though we were at least reimbursed the 40 euros for the spa area, we unfortunately cannot recommend the hotel due to the overcrowded spa area and the disappointing food service.

The restaurant and the staff are very good! Be sure to insist on a new room.

We were there for Valentine's Day and there was a container of roses that a man could give to his wife. Why not women also men? The bartender and service staff were great. However, the Liegenit towels were reserved in the sauna area and some had their cell phones with them despite the ban. Maybe someone should check there

Designed with great attention to detail – a really nice stay! The service was excellent. The wellness area offers both textile and textile-free areas, which we unfortunately didn't know beforehand. Therefore we couldn't use the swimming pool. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful oasis of peace. The breakfast was fantastic and offered a large selection, and the evening meal was also delicious. The view of nature gives the hotel an idyllic atmosphere, which looks particularly romantic with snow. We can definitely recommend this hotel!

A great spa hotel. The price-performance ratio is right here. Rooms are great, well equipped and really feel good. The food is also simply great. Breakfast is served in buffet form. Very rich and great. The spa area, wellness, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna area, whirlpool, fitness etc... simply great. Outside the hotel there is enough to relax... there is, among other things, a large dam. There is something for everyone here and if not... you are in the wrong place... you can simply recommend the hotel... simply a must to come back...

Very nice hotel with a really great wellness area. The staff are very friendly. But the breakfast, especially the rolls, don't fit in with the rest. That's why only 4 stars.

A top-class hotel, there is really nothing to complain about except the vomit in front of the entrance area, which could have been removed but no one can do anything about it. Everything is fine.

It was a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Heidegrund. The only unfortunate thing was that there weren't enough loungers in the sauna area and we had to wait 1.5 hours for dinner to eat a burger and a schnitzel. Of course, I understand that there might be a slightly longer wait when there are a lot of customers, but the tables around us got the same dishes after just 30 minutes and we didn't. I don't understand that and the excuse that there's a lot to do doesn't work when more than half of the tables are empty. All in all, we would like to visit the hotel again, but I'm not sure whether we would eat in the restaurant or eat out.

There is a lot to tell. Anyone who looks at the website will still be surprised because it is even more beautiful, even quieter and even more stylish. The service is clearly worth mentioning. Even if you have many extra requests, you will be helped and the whole thing will be made possible without any problems. We will come again. Thank you for the great time with you. For you it is everyday life, for the visitors it is a time that will be remembered.

A very nice location and spa area. Unfortunately for a 4* star hotel, in our opinion, there is too much weakness in service and cleanliness. Positive: - Very good restaurant and breakfast - great spa area with natural pool - in the middle of nature and great air - Prices good Negative: - Cleanliness - we had silverfish in the bathroom in the room and in the spa area the women's toilet smelled strongly of urine. - Service - Salt shakers empty at many tables, towels were only changed every three days, no option for tea or lemon water in the spa area, saunas are not checked as often so guests have to proactively call service when the infusion water is empty or the sauna has gone out. - Spa area is sometimes only half open. We consciously chose this hotel because of the variety of saunas. Unfortunately only half of them were open and they were the same ones every day, so you couldn't switch between them. We had relaxing days but wouldn't come again because we can also find such service in our region and it's not worth the journey.

It was our first time at the Hotel Heidegrund and we were particularly impressed by the great service and the extremely friendly staff.

We were there on New Year's Eve. We had booked the hotel because of the advertised noise-free environment, but this was not the case. From the room we were able to look directly at fireworks that were set off very close to the hotel. Fireworks were also set off in the surrounding area and the sky was brightly lit. It's a shame because the 3 nights were a hefty price. The wellness area was very crowded. Unfortunately, the breakfast was nothing special; sometimes it took some time for food to be refilled. The room was okay, but also very worn out. The service was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Spent two nights in this hotel over New Year's Eve because it was specifically advertised on the website that you wouldn't hear any of the New Year's Eve fireworks. Unfortunately, this was not the truth. Room: The room was clean and tidy, but nothing special. For the price I would have liked a more comfortable atmosphere. Location and background noise: The main reason we chose this hotel was the assurance that there would be no fireworks noise - particularly important as our dog is very sensitive to banging noises. Unfortunately the hotel could not meet this expectation. The bang could be clearly heard for around 30 minutes and our dog was shaking in fear. That was disappointing and overshadowed our stay. Service: Overall the service was okay, but I had higher expectations. The staff at reception in particular seemed stressed and responded to simple questions with annoyance, which greatly affected the overall impression. Especially in a hotel in this price range, I expect friendlier and more professional service.

We had our Christmas party there. It was well organized, the food was delicious and the service was very nice.

Very nice service staff. Carpets and seat cushions (in the restaurant) could use a renewal or a thorough cleaning. I liked fitness and wellness. The nature in and around the hotel has everything you could wish for. Food was very good. Lots of healthy things for me. I would like an extra star for that.

A great hotel with super friendly staff. 5 different saunas with a beautiful outdoor area inside and outside. The kitchen also delivers excellent food, but the prices are very high. We ate there twice in the evening. In the afternoon there are also various home-baked cakes. We booked with breakfast and didn't miss anything. Nice location if you want to relax and walk a lot.

Everything was great, except the food was from the freezer. But the employees probably can't help it.

Very nice stay. We also took part in the project to clean the rooms less often. It would be nice if there were cloths to clean the sink yourself.

Nicely located, but somewhat outdated hotel. There were increased stains on the carpets both in the room and in the public area and the elevator could use a comprehensive makeover. What is particularly positive is the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the restaurant (unfortunately, fresh and crispy rolls were not always available, a baking machine or at least a toaster could help). Otherwise we can only recommend the hotel.
