Rhodos in Berlin

Unfortunately my schnitzel was very tough and the service wasn't rude but not... well... I really enjoyed going there a few years ago but unfortunately it's not the same as it was a few years ago.

One evening, I felt as if I were on a true vacation in Greece. Having visited twice, I know a bit about Greek food culture, and this place stands out as special. It offers a warm family atmosphere, with friendly staff speaking Greek to you. And the food! We eagerly finished everything on our plates.

Friendly staff, delicious baby calamari! The welcome ouzo was also great! I like the atmosphere and everything is clean, and the farewell ouzo is a nice touch. I'd definitely go back!

The food was great. Unfortunately, the promised second loaf of bread never arrived. The music was a bit too loud, so we had to raise our voices to be heard over it. The service was very friendly.

You wait over an hour. Others who ordered after you get their food first. The salad costs €17 and is just as big as the starter salad. Simply brazen.

Still my favorite Greek restaurant in Berlin. Whenever we can, which is unfortunately rare since we now live 1,000 km away, we go there. For over 15 years! The food has never lost its quality. The chef and staff are always friendly, and the ambiance is like being in Greece—all in all, a place to linger and enjoy! Hopefully, they'll last for a long time, which isn't easy these days.

We arrived today and were greeted unfriendly upon entering. The simple question of whether we could sit at a free table was met with a rude "at the tables for two." The menu was slammed down on the table without a word, like an annoying requirement. We left immediately. Anyone who treats guests like that should consider whether the restaurant industry is the right place for them. Friendliness is key in service, and it wasn't even remotely present here.

We stopped here spontaneously after an event and were not disappointed. They recommended starters, which were very well received. The main courses were also impressive and offered good value for money!

Actually, yes, but it was the first time I wasn't offered a nightcap. When I actually asked about it... "Didn't you leave a tip?" There were six of us and we paid individually. So the nightcap doesn't come before the bill...🤔

Unfortunately, the liver was overcooked! And the food overall was too bland! Service wasn't that attentive! Unfortunately, a table that arrived after us had their food before us...

The food was delicious, but it's unacceptable that you order and a group comes after you, and they get their food before us. That's just not acceptable. Just because there were eight of us and the others were around 20...

We had a reservation and waited forever for our food. A group who arrived later and didn't have a reservation got their food before us. The fries weren't cooked. Despite all that, the service was very friendly. The gyros were quite good, and the tzatziki was also really good.

Since I'm a bit more busy in Lichterfelde at the moment, I'd like to get to know the restaurants there. My farmer's salad was "overly simple," and I wouldn't order it again! I complained, and it turned out the kitchen made a mistake. I wasn't charged for the farmer's salad, which is extremely fair and I respect that!!! Thank you for being willing to improve or adjust your service!!! THANK YOU

Alexis is a fantastic host. He doesn't want his customers' money, he's only interested in their well-being. For example, I was there with my wife and young daughter and I wanted to order a children's plate for them, but Alexis said that was nonsense and that the family plate was enough for all of us. He was right. That's how you can tell a host with heart. The well-being of his guests is the most important thing, not the money!!! Respect and admiration for that. I must add that he knew we were just tourists. So if you stop off in Grünau, definitely stop by Alexis's Rhodos restaurant, otherwise you'll miss out. Thumbs up for that!!!

The terrace, including tables and chairs, needs to be renovated.

I’ve been married to a Greek girl and I’ve eaten in Greece and in Melbourne the biggest Greek community outside of Greece and I can tell you the food here is mediocre at best. I had the teller and my wife had the capsicum and the patatas. The meat was well overdone typical but also no lemon, the sauces didn’t have the love that they should and when I went to pay the waiter said to me 5 or 10% tip and I said what the hell are you talking about. The service was slow The food was mediocre for the price and now you are trying to force me to Give a tip, then he started to get argumentative with me so I stepped back and let my Girlfriend pay. But beware this is a place where they want to trap you. It’s not bad but some shady stuff is happening and you don’t want to be around it. Go somewhere else. Best wishes and with love I hope the owners change there ways. Oh and 2 glasses of wine that didn’t blow my Mind were 9eu each.

Super delicious food and pleasant atmosphere!!

The food was, well, you could taste the salt, but you looked in vain for the garlic; it wasn't even in the sauce - less would have been better. The leg of lamb was okay, I looked for the potatoes and there were far too many green beans that got lost in the sauce. The coffee could have been stronger, and a full cup wouldn't have been bad. The terraces are also getting on in the years to come, and the terrace lights don't need to be on during daylight hours.

You should make a reservation in advance, as it's often very busy and therefore quite loud. Greek food is already delicious, but this restaurant takes it to the next level with its excellent dishes. The staff is super sweet and friendly, unless you ask for vegan options. Then the waiters' expressions quickly darken 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

A superb restaurant with a beautifully designed, cozy yet elegant interior and a lovely terrace. If you're looking for a good Greek restaurant, look no further. The food was exceptionally good, and there's also a wide selection for vegetarians. The portions were also very generous, and the service was first-class, very friendly, and prompt. Despite the fairly full house, there was practically no wait; it seemed as if they started cooking immediately after ordering. We'd be happy to go back!

The food was okay. The portions were really small compared to other Greek restaurants! The taste was good, though. Service was excellent, and the Allgäu beer was also delicious. We sat outside on the large terrace in the beautiful weather.

Super nice service, special requests are also taken into account. The Greek farmer's salad was so delicious, the last time I had one was in Mykonos. Sorry, but the restaurant is unclean (cucumber leftovers and other food leftovers on the wall), the menu card is worn and stuck to your hands. The service was friendly but very slow. The food (gyros/souvlaki with baked potatoes) was oversalted, the taste of the potatoes was from the day before and the food was lukewarm. The red wine was warm. It should be noted that the waitress had to do everything herself (looking after guests, tapping drinks at the counter, etc.). Total for 3 people around €90 is normal, but I can't recommend this restaurant for the ambience and the food. There are much better Greek restaurants in Berlin and the surrounding area.

The worst Greek restaurant we've ever visited. The price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion. Never, ever!

Even if it is busy and stressful, friendliness is the be-all and end-all. Wasn't here today. Table to table and therefore not a nice atmosphere. It's better to have a few fewer tables and therefore a little distance from the next table. Then it's more comfortable. Otherwise it's ok.

I would definitely recommend it. The portions are a bit small, but sufficient, and the food is good value for money. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive.

Fantastic eatery. Super delicious dishes from a lavish menu, very tasty wines, which also come regionally from Greece. There is also a very cozy atmosphere with lovely wall paintings and indirect, dim lighting. The staff is super friendly, happy to help with selection difficulties and the service is fast. If you like, you can also get an ouzo or two for free. And - the current Corona rules are also adhered to without being disruptive. Everything is very convincing. Bottom line - I really enjoy coming back here :). Update June 10th, 2022 - there again - again super delicious. Tested with other dishes and everything was again fresh and absolutely superbly prepared. It was quick and the employees are super nice.

We were there for the first time today based on a recommendation. We received a very friendly welcome and the atmosphere made us feel comfortable. The food came quickly and hot, and it tasted wonderful. The waitress (a gentleman) was funny and incredibly friendly and recommended the homemade walnut cake, which I took home with me. When I got home, I had to try it straight away. And what can I say, this cake is amazing. In the restaurant itself it would have been served with vanilla ice cream. But without it he was really, really good. We'll definitely be back. A restaurant to feel good and linger. Thank you for the great service ❤️ and a good and successful start to 2025

The service is very attentive. Drinks could be ordered quickly. In my opinion the portions were too small for a Greek restaurant. The food was also mediocre at best. You could taste instant everywhere. The salad dressing was mixed with a bag and the gyros tasted more like dried herbs than gyros.

Super fast and friendly. Grilled lamb was super tasty. Prices were kept moderate. It's definitely worth a visit.

The service was really not good. Despite reservations and advance orders, we had to wait 90 minutes for the food. When asked, the upstairs waiter responded angrily/unfriendly. Got a table here this evening without a reservation. The food was delicious, very Greek. The staff very friendly. We can only recommend the restaurant.

The food is very tasty and very plentiful. Special requests or exchanging inserts are no problem. There are always additional recommendations to the card. It's worth trying the starter soups and, for dessert, the home-baked cake, e.g. walnut. There is also a selection for vegetarians and vegans. We really enjoy being here.

Food is usually pretty good, so is the service. There are three waiters, however, one of them seems to be the boss, at least his scarf leads you to believe he is. Two waiters are quite ok service wise, but the scarf wearing guy with glasses and black hair, should change his profession. His service skills are so bad we need a new word for bad. He was rude, hitting the chairs trying to organize them in such an aggressive way, yelling at guests and the list of what was wrong there goes on. He was generally chaotic and a nervous guy. It was actually quite amusing to observe him. He was moving the chairs and the tables with such an aggression that the coasters were falling on the floor. Entire terrace floor was covered in coasters. We originally came there to eat, but we decided to keep it simple and fast so we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Because seeing the chaos from the scarf guy made us change our mind. Also, it took him 20 minutes to ask us what do we want to drink and then another 40 to ask us what do we want to eat. After I said that we just want to pay for the drinks, he asked me; is it because we are too slow? I said;yes, after which he sarcastically said “yes, because we are all just sitting and not doing anything all day”. That was cherry on the top of this experience. Later my husband told me that other waiters apologized to him as he was paying for the bill, because they know that we had been the regular guests. All in all, the scarf guy needs to take himself a bit less seriously. Definitely wrong profession for him!

It was super crowded but very tasty. Because there were no gyros left, we were offered a delicious alternative. The service was very good in this respect, otherwise you had to wait a long time and other guests had to wait even longer for their drinks. I didn't think it was nice that they picked another table apart and thundered it at us with full force, so you could say we'd put it back again. But without comment and in a way that we found unpleasant, the guests next to us were also shocked, they had been waiting 20 minutes to even be noticed and had waited just as long for their drinks. If we had been in that position we probably would have gotten up and left. But the food was really great. So we'll see what it's like at some point.

Was the first time I was yelled at by the boss in a restaurant. (After asking whether we can expect our food soon after waiting 90 minutes)

Unfortunately the order via Dish didn't work. I received an email that the order was being processed, but no confirmation was received after hours. I would have ordered through Lieferando.

Food is mediocre. The last time I was there, the employees were not only rude but downright mean (rolling their eyes because someone misheard and throwing menus on the table). So if you want to wait 30 minutes for mediocre food and want to be treated unfairly and pay money for it, you're in good hands there, otherwise I strongly recommend against this restaurant and I definitely won't go there again.

A very nice restaurant, well located and you can sit and eat outside and inside. Very tasty and a nice atmosphere and service. I would be happy to recommend it.

In a word, fabulous. Good authentic food cooked well. Simple dishes of grilled fish, grilled meats, served with a variety of side dishes. A beautiful outdoor terrace. Highchairs available, and child friendly. Dog friendly, at least outdoors. Inside has a wonderful feel of being transported to Greece momentarily. Very glad we found the place. Will continue eating there and bring family and friends.

Ask for the specials. They always have something really authentic of great taste. A must try if you are in the area.

Real Greek atmosphere, we have been coming here for years. The food is always fresh and tasty! Enjoying a Retsina or a Mythos (Greek beer) on the terrace in summer with Greek music is always a pleasure! Very attentive and friendly service at all times. If you like it really Greek, you will love it here.

A Greek where it's really crowded outside on a Sunday evening in midsummer. The waiters are always on the move, but never lose their composure. You were served pretty quickly. For dark beer lovers, there is a decent Märkisches Landbier. Bread is served before the meal, which is very fresh and crispy. I suspect it was even homemade. The main course was of good quality.

Unfortunately it has declined significantly recently. Was always a big fan of Rhodes, but unfortunately the service and quality of the food are no longer that good. In addition, the prices are sporty. Too bad.

A very quaint restaurant with good food. However, I don't understand why a 0.75 ml bottle of water costs 7.80 euros. I find it very overpriced.

Good Greek restaurant, with slightly smaller portions. But the quality of the food is very good. Sometimes we get a bit “rustic” service, but we would be happy to come back.

Even though two waiters ordered drinks several times, I'm still sitting there without drinks (a good half hour has already passed). The food is carelessly prepared and very poorly seasoned. For me personally it was an absolute failure. P.S. The worst gyros I've ever eaten.
