A great restaurant, excellent service and delicious food. For me an absolute restaurant to visit.

Wir sind neben dem Restaurant spaziert und es hat uns mit warmer Atmosphere kurioes gemacht. Da die Bewertung online nur 4 war, waren wir nicht sicher, was wir finden werden. Es war aber super! Tolles Essen- wir hatten Seeteufel in Krabensosse und gemischter Fischteller, beides ausgezeichnet! Nettes Service, warme Ausruestung, mit viel Holz und portugisischer Geschichte. Absolut zum erfaehlen. Obrigada!

My wife and I were here for the first time and definitely not the last. Nice atmosphere and very good cuisine. We had the fish soup, grilled anchovies and the sole in a crab sauce...everything was excellent and hot 🔥...the Galao at the end was excellent. We'll be back 💯 percent.

The food and service are outstanding! Such nice service and therefore a great atmosphere. It tastes great and the dishes are varied. Sometimes the menus are a little confusing because, in addition to the printed pages, there are also handwritten pages in between and these differ depending on the menu. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated inside. You can see that it is a place with tradition, where some waiters have been working for over thirty years, that speaks for itself! Expect a price of around €45 per person and you should reserve a table for larger groups, even during the week, as it is always busy.

A very nice and courteous staff. We were pampered from top to bottom. From the starters, the main course to the dessert, everything was perfect. The quantities were also completely fine. At first glance it looked like there wasn't much to eat, but the portions were perfectly balanced. My recommendation is to order a starter and then a main course. Unfortunately I picked up the camera too late and therefore only have a photo of the main courses with leftovers from the starter.

Contrary to some scathing criticism, we were very satisfied with the food and the service. After our return from Lisbon we relived our memories there.

Feines Restaurant mit sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Angestellten (Besitzer?). Sehr zivile Preise für sehr leckeres Essen. Risotto mit Tintenfisch von der Mittagskarte - mega zu empfehlen. Viel Tintenfisch in einer großen Portion. Gebratener Lachs - auf den Punkt gegart! Hühnerfleisch auf Salat - stabile leckere Portion!

At Christmas time, a cozy restaurant, unobtrusive operation that creates a pleasant atmosphere

Amazing selection of Mediterranean style foods. The grilled fish and meats were prepared to perfection and therefore superb. If you're into boar this is a great place for you as well. Really tender and well prepared boar meat in a not too overwhelming red wine sauce. Can absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves traditional cuisine.

Delicious food. Friendly and attentive staff. Very traditional Portuguese e and Spanish dishes with good options for vegetarians. You can also get good Tapas and seafood there.

Excellent starter and main course. We didn't think the dessert was as good as the rest. The creme brulee was more like a vanilla pudding and the caramelized sugar was bitter instead of sweet in places. All in all, we were still very satisfied. The service was top and I hope we can enjoy it again on our next visit to Hamburg. Clear recommendation if you want something from another culture.

I was in Hamburg for almost three months and ate at Vasco da Gama almost every day - it was just like home to me! Especially as a Brazilian with a love for good food, I felt really comfortable here. The food is delicious, always fresh and made with a lot of love. The team? Super nice, attentive and just great. For anyone looking for good taste and warm hospitality in Hamburg – definitely go! I'll definitely come back when I'm in town.

It's Christmas and there were no decorations. It is a Portuguese restaurant but hardly any dishes from the country. The food was ok but didn't blow us away. The bill was 122€ for 2 people and 5% was added because it was Christmas. But as I said, there was nothing that justified that. My wife is Portuguese and she was very disappointed.

The food was very good (wild boar and Madeira skewer), delicious aoli ​​beforehand and a special liqueur at the end. Service calm, fast, attentive. Authentic atmosphere.

Nous avions trouvé cette adresse dans un guide touristique, nous y sommes allés ! Un décor et une ambiance douteuse, des plats peu élaborés, un vinho verde bas de gamme au tarif fort, un service mielleux, on vous demande l'aumône pour laisser un pourboire. Un restaurant qui mérite la catégorie bas de gamme, mon avis est sans méchanceté, c'est à eux de faire des améliorations s'ils ne veulent pas avoir de critique comme la mienne.

The service was ok. The food was a disaster. I've had better meals in many highway restaurants. I think the vegetables were from the frozen section. The lamb and beef were so tough that I felt like I was chewing gum. The poultry was acceptable. My personal opinion, just go to a snack bar and enjoy it. We don't go there anymore. Ps: Aioli was salty. This is our personal opinion, feel free to make up your own mind.

This evening I visited the restaurant. The food and the customer friendliness of the waiters left a lot to be desired. The meat, not good quality and very very tough. The vegetables, unappetizing. Basically, a disaster. Definitely not appropriate value for money. Make up your own mind. But definitely not recommended.

Lidt spændt på besøget idet jeg mente at samme sted havde et andet navn tidligere. Lidt mørkt lokalebmen en særdeles behagelig og venlig betjening. Fik først lidt brød med hvidløgsdyppelse og derefter fik vi en fiskesuppe. Min kone fik en dejlig grillet fisk og jeg en skøn spagettiret. Dertil en særdeles dejlig portugisisk rødvin. Vi måtte spørge til et vinkort, idet vinen vi kunne læse os til der fulgte med menukortet kun indeholdt husets vin. Godt nok mange mennesker der sidder lidt tæt, men vidner også om et populært sted.

It is a very nice, cozy restaurant with Mediterranean food of exceptional quality. Very nice service and there are chefs at work here who can really do something. The Iberico pork was cooked to perfection.

A Spanish - Portuguese restaurant. There is a lot of fish on the menu here, as well as meat dishes. Typical country cuisine, such as paella and zarzuela fish soup. There is a holiday feeling here, everything is very tasty. The paella is highly recommended, and the gambas al ajillo! Price-performance is higher, but the portions are good! The lunch options are great and cheap. Service is friendly 😊 but sometimes a bit inattentive.

Unfortunately disappointing. Too little quality for too much money. Potatoes weren't fresh There was a tiny little dip with the skewer and for 28 euros there was simply not enough on the plate. Gambas in tomato sauce were incredibly overdone, there were 6 small ones. Not recommended.

The staff tried hard. Paella Ibiza with different types of fish. The mood killer was when we were asked to pay at the counter.

The restaurant has absolutely gone downhill in recent years. Now no portions for 30 euros. Bread is charged extra. Bad white wine that is served unchilled and then discussed with the guest about an ice cooler. Never again.

Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, aber die ältliche Bedienung sehr unfreundlich. Wies uns gleich zu Beginn darauf hin, dass der Tisch nur zwei Stunden verfügbar sei. Für die getrennte Zahlung wurden wir an die Kasse komplimentiert, wo wir im Weg standen und vom Personal hin und her geschoben wollten. Für uns gab es auch keinen Likör zum Abschied. Ein wirklich unschönes Ende eines schönen Abends.

ich geh immer Abends rein wenn ich am nächsten Tag früh ab HAM fliege. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und solide, gutbürgerliches/portugiesisches Essen. Man speist gut, einfach, und frisch und das Essen kommt warm/heiß auf den Tisch. Insbesondere der Fisch ist klasse, hatte aber auch schon Fleisch, Weine sind auch gut, Vorspeisen und Beilagen sind auch ok, Bedienung freundlich und flott, fast familiär, Ich frage immer den Ober was frisch ist, was er empfiehlt oder was heute nicht auf der Karte steht und jedes Mal bekomme ich was feines.. mit der richtigen Weinempfehlung... Vorneweg Portwein oder Sherry, dazu Wasser, Aioli und Brot. Preise sind ok für Hamburg Innenstadtlage und eng bin ich noch nie gesessen...

I'm just used to better quality from a Spanish restaurant since I usually live in Spain. I had the albondigas, meatballs in tomato sauce. Very tough, if they had fallen off the table they would have continued jumping. I also let some go back. Then calamary, they were ok. The wine is quite expensive and the service wasn't the friendliest that day. The question as to whether it tasted good didn't even come up. All in all very disappointing.

Great service Very fast and friendly Paella we were a bit disappointed in. We ordered a Paella with vegetables and the vegetables tasted like they were frozen. Also tasted a little bit oily. Probably wouldn't return, but they do have lunch specials and the server is very friendly.

Great restaurant for your meal around the city. The staff were very friendly and polite, food came fast and the Argentine steak with mushroom cream was delicious! We ordered patatas bravas to share but these weren't very tasty and very poor on the sauce. Garlic mayo with bread was also very tasty while drinking your favourite drink.

Nice place to eat iberic food. I took a shrimp soup and was very tasty. Also they had a nice white wine.

Have been here several times in the past and had good memories of the food. Had dinner again today. Unfortunately, it has a lot! decreased in quality. I had five tapas and all were below average to bad. I still like the location there, but I wouldn't eat there again.

Very good authentic Spanish Portuguese cuisine cooked with love. We had the Lisboa skewer and the stuffed calamari, both dishes very tasty and perfectly prepared. Attentive and friendly service and finally an aperitif on the house. That's the way it has to be. Recommended at any time.

This place is truly amazing! It deserves to be higher up your list of ratings. The food is excellent quality and presented like an art piece. I had the Spaghetti with Squid and my mom had the chicken paella. There is also a good selection of wines from Portugal, Spain and elsewhere. The atmosphere is cozy. The service is super friendly and just all around excellent.

Very, very expensive, I stayed in Hamburg for 12 days and I'm with a group of many people. But 17 eur for half a jug of wine, it was 73 eur for a meal for two people. The food is good, refined, I recommend it to anyone who wants "a cultural flavor".

I was in this restaurant once with my husband and 5 friends. Some of us had moldy salad as a starter. No one from the staff apologized, the boss said it was pepper, dressing or whatever, but not the mold. Too expensive for the quality and such surprises. Never again.

We just wandered in to Vasco da Gama and truly enjoyed the experience. The homemade fish soup was outstanding! The owners/staff were so engaging. And the prices were reasonable. We will go back when we return to Hamburg.

Wrong Cola brought (without sugar), then denied it was the right Cola and then still charged in full. And the price...like in Venice on St. Mark's Square: a small cola for 4.90 euros. They'll never see me again!

The tip for really good food in a good mood.

Bad experience. My companion and I, after sharing a stockfish, decide to ask for a second course and choose to try some prawns which the waiter told us cost 16.00 euros. With much amazement, once we paid the bill, we realized that we had been charged 25.90 for those 6 pan-fried garlic prawns. As gentlemen, without making a fuss, we left very annoyed, aware that the waiter, with a lot of experience behind him, had deceived us a bit. Furthermore, we paid for the most expensive house wine in bulk ever: a liter of vinho verde for 34.00!!!!! It seems very excessive to me. Basically I will never go back there again! Goodbye

Meine Partnerin und ich waren heute dort zum Mittagessen. Wir müssen ehrlich sagen, wir wissen nicht, wann wir zu letzt so gut mittag gegessen haben. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, sehr nettes Ambiente und das Essen war exzellent. Geschmacklich top, frisches Essen Gemüse etc. Kein TK Kram o.ä Wir gehen definitiv öfter dort hin absofort.

Tried paella with fish fillet from the lunch menu while on holiday - simple but very tasty, good enough portion. Solid southwest European food.

Aioli with bread, rabbit cooked in red wine with potatoes. The rabbit tasted good, the potatoes were well cooked. The open red wine was light and drinkable. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. The service is good and friendly.

It is a place where you immediately feel at home, like a short trip to Portugal. Staff very nice, the food was very tasty, had a wonderful rose with it. I've known the restaurant for many years, luckily it's a place that doesn't change
