I can definitely recommend you stop by there, with a wink 😉. A very nice little restaurant in Hamburg, with a small beer garden out back... we were there for breakfast ☕. A big plus... they cater to special requests.

Yes, I recommend it with some reservations. The owner is very grumpy. Prices are completely overpriced for what you get on your plate. The side dishes are very minimalist: 3 potato wedges, 2 carrot halves, 2 broccoli florets... The best price was a 0.2 liter of sangria for €8!! We paid €180 for four adults, without starter or dessert, just food and one drink each. We won't be back anytime soon.

We left Le Meridien for dinner and found this pleasant Portuguese restaurant just a few minutes' walk away. We were a long way from arriving from Porto to Hamburg and dining on bacalhau à Brás accompanied by Amália's fado music, amidst original decor and the most friendly service in Portuguese. We enjoyed it and recommend it.

We ate rabbit in wine sauce with potatoes. It was delicious.

This is the place to be if you're looking for a short break in Portugal! The atmosphere, the friendly service, the music, and, last but not least, the food—it couldn't have been more beautiful or authentic! Thank you for such a hospitable evening.

We think the different receptions also depend on whether you go there for lunch or dinner. We were there on two consecutive days. Since I wasn't very hungry, I chose the grilled sea bream (not particularly large, but perfectly adequate and tasty for a quick lunch with a few potatoes and slivers of vegetables). The following evening, however, I was very hungry. The sea bream on the menu was called "Royal Sea Bream," and what came? The same grilled sea bream, barely the size of a hand, arrived in one piece with the aforementioned potatoes and slivers of vegetables on an oversized plate shaped like a fish, which made the "Royal" sea bream look even punier on the plate than it already was, and all for almost twice the price of the lunch menu. I asked the friendly waitress about it and said they would check with the kitchen to see what had happened, but there was no further reaction... The price/performance ratio in the evening was definitely way overpriced. If only for lunch.

ein netter kleiner laden, aber für unser empfinden zu teuer. gessesen sind wir auf dem gehsteig, welcher doch auch sehr stark frequentiert ist. das war jetzt nicht soooo prckelnd. ich habe eine paella negra (32,90€) gegessen, welche mir auch wirklich gut geschmeckt hat (siehe bild). trotzdem finde ich den preis übertrieben. auch meine frau hatte ein paella (31,50€), jedoch war sie nicht zufrieden und hat einen grossteil wieder zurückgegeben. bei einem nächsten hamburg besuch werden wir hier nichtmehr zu abend essen.

Food is good, but price-performance does not meet my expectations

I was always very enthusiastic about this restaurant. Now, after two years, I went back and raved about it to my companion, but then I was disappointed. We had peeled shrimp in a sauce (which was runny, like vegetable broth) and paella that lacked all the seasoning. Both small portions for a hefty price. I also had bread with aioli, which is usually served free everywhere, but they charged for it there. The drinks were amazing. A 750 ml bottle of water for 7.90?? Nope, guys. What a shame, really. I used to enjoy coming here and the food was very good. Now I was very disappointed with everything.

Delicious lunch at the Vasco da Gama restaurant on Lange Reihe. We sat on the terrace in beautiful weather. Friendly service.

We ate two different meat skewers here, which were incredibly good. The sangria was also delicious but quite expensive. Since we sat outside, I can't really say much about the ambiance. Definitely recommended, and we'd love to come back.

The vegetables and sauces weren't to our taste. The potatoes were also rather bland and a boring variety. The fish was okay, and the shrimp were really tasty. The bread was charged extra. The setting is just right on a street. Overall, the price wasn't good enough, especially considering the competition.

In a lively neighborhood, a small Portuguese restaurant that holds its own. Plenty of grilled fish and meat dishes and a tempting list of tapas. We shared calamari fritters and then opted for a succulent lamb dish. Portuguese wines.

Authentisch portugiesisch. Kein Vergleich zum Portugiesenviertel an den Landungsbrücken. Tausend Prozent Portugal. Wir hatten die Cataplana und Wein und fühlten uns rund um wohl. Die Menschen dort waren herzlich und freundlich. Trotz vollen Hauses nahm man sich Zeit für die Gäste. Der Fisch und die Muscheln waren frisch und die Gerichte unglaublich gut. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen!

Had dinner with the four of us. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance. We booked a table for four at 06:30, nevertheless we had to wait a little while before we were seated. Ordered some starters and each of us chose their own main course. I decided on rabbit which came served with salted potatoes. The taste was excellent. Service was friendly, good and efficient. All in all worth a repeat visit.

Tolles Essen- wir hatten Seeteufel in Krabensosse und gemischter Fischteller, beides ausgezeichnet! Nettes Service, warme Ausruestung, mit viel Holz und portugisischer Geschichte. My wife and I were here for the first time and definitely not the last. Nice atmosphere and very good cuisine. We had the fish soup, grilled anchovies and the sole in a crab sauce...everything was excellent and hot 🔥...the Galao at the end was excellent. We'll be back 💯 percent.

The food and service are outstanding! Such nice service and therefore a great atmosphere. It tastes great and the dishes are varied. Sometimes the menus are a little confusing because, in addition to the printed pages, there are also handwritten pages in between and these differ depending on the menu. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated inside. You can see that it is a place with tradition, where some waiters have been working for over thirty years, that speaks for itself! Expect a price of around €45 per person and you should reserve a table for larger groups, even during the week, as it is always busy.

A very nice and courteous staff. We were pampered from top to bottom. From the starters, the main course to the dessert, everything was perfect. The quantities were also completely fine. At first glance it looked like there wasn't much to eat, but the portions were perfectly balanced. My recommendation is to order a starter and then a main course. Unfortunately I picked up the camera too late and therefore only have a photo of the main courses with leftovers from the starter.

Contrary to some scathing criticism, we were very satisfied with the food and the service. After our return from Lisbon we relived our memories there.

Feines Restaurant mit sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Angestellten (Besitzer?). Sehr zivile Preise für sehr leckeres Essen. Risotto mit Tintenfisch von der Mittagskarte - mega zu empfehlen. Viel Tintenfisch in einer großen Portion. Gebratener Lachs - auf den Punkt gegart! Hühnerfleisch auf Salat - stabile leckere Portion!

At Christmas time, a cozy restaurant, unobtrusive operation that creates a pleasant atmosphere

Amazing selection of Mediterranean style foods. The grilled fish and meats were prepared to perfection and therefore superb. If you're into boar this is a great place for you as well. Really tender and well prepared boar meat in a not too overwhelming red wine sauce. Can absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves traditional cuisine.

Delicious food. Friendly and attentive staff. Very traditional Portuguese e and Spanish dishes with good options for vegetarians. You can also get good Tapas and seafood there.

Excellent starter and main course. We didn't think the dessert was as good as the rest. The creme brulee was more like a vanilla pudding and the caramelized sugar was bitter instead of sweet in places. All in all, we were still very satisfied. The service was top and I hope we can enjoy it again on our next visit to Hamburg. Clear recommendation if you want something from another culture.

I was in Hamburg for almost three months and ate at Vasco da Gama almost every day - it was just like home to me! Especially as a Brazilian with a love for good food, I felt really comfortable here. The food is delicious, always fresh and made with a lot of love. The team? Super nice, attentive and just great. For anyone looking for good taste and warm hospitality in Hamburg – definitely go! I'll definitely come back when I'm in town.

It's Christmas and there were no decorations. It is a Portuguese restaurant but hardly any dishes from the country. The food was ok but didn't blow us away. The bill was 122€ for 2 people and 5% was added because it was Christmas. But as I said, there was nothing that justified that. My wife is Portuguese and she was very disappointed.

Nous avions trouvé cette adresse dans un guide touristique, nous y sommes allés ! Un décor et une ambiance douteuse, des plats peu élaborés, un vinho verde bas de gamme au tarif fort, un service mielleux, on vous demande l'aumône pour laisser un pourboire. Un restaurant qui mérite la catégorie bas de gamme, mon avis est sans méchanceté, c'est à eux de faire des améliorations s'ils ne veulent pas avoir de critique comme la mienne.

This evening I visited the restaurant. The food and the customer friendliness of the waiters left a lot to be desired. The meat, not good quality and very very tough. The vegetables, unappetizing. Basically, a disaster. Definitely not appropriate value for money. Make up your own mind. But definitely not recommended.

The service was ok. The food was a disaster. I've had better meals in many highway restaurants. I think the vegetables were from the frozen section. The lamb and beef were so tough that I felt like I was chewing gum. The poultry was acceptable. My personal opinion, just go to a snack bar and enjoy it. We don't go there anymore. Ps: Aioli was salty. This is our personal opinion, feel free to make up your own mind.

Lidt spændt på besøget idet jeg mente at samme sted havde et andet navn tidligere. Lidt mørkt lokalebmen en særdeles behagelig og venlig betjening. Fik først lidt brød med hvidløgsdyppelse og derefter fik vi en fiskesuppe. Min kone fik en dejlig grillet fisk og jeg en skøn spagettiret. Dertil en særdeles dejlig portugisisk rødvin. Vi måtte spørge til et vinkort, idet vinen vi kunne læse os til der fulgte med menukortet kun indeholdt husets vin. Godt nok mange mennesker der sidder lidt tæt, men vidner også om et populært sted.

A Spanish - Portuguese restaurant. There is a lot of fish on the menu here, as well as meat dishes. Typical country cuisine, such as paella and zarzuela fish soup. There is a holiday feeling here, everything is very tasty. The paella is highly recommended, and the gambas al ajillo! Price-performance is higher, but the portions are good! The lunch options are great and cheap. Service is friendly 😊 but sometimes a bit inattentive.

Unfortunately disappointing. Too little quality for too much money. Potatoes weren't fresh There was a tiny little dip with the skewer and for 28 euros there was simply not enough on the plate. Gambas in tomato sauce were incredibly overdone, there were 6 small ones. Not recommended.

The staff tried hard. Paella Ibiza with different types of fish. The mood killer was when we were asked to pay at the counter.

The restaurant has absolutely gone downhill in recent years. Now no portions for 30 euros. Bread is charged extra. Bad white wine that is served unchilled and then discussed with the guest about an ice cooler. Never again.

Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, aber die ältliche Bedienung sehr unfreundlich. Wies uns gleich zu Beginn darauf hin, dass der Tisch nur zwei Stunden verfügbar sei. Für die getrennte Zahlung wurden wir an die Kasse komplimentiert, wo wir im Weg standen und vom Personal hin und her geschoben wollten. Für uns gab es auch keinen Likör zum Abschied. Ein wirklich unschönes Ende eines schönen Abends.

ich geh immer Abends rein wenn ich am nächsten Tag früh ab HAM fliege. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und solide, gutbürgerliches/portugiesisches Essen. Man speist gut, einfach, und frisch und das Essen kommt warm/heiß auf den Tisch. Insbesondere der Fisch ist klasse, hatte aber auch schon Fleisch, Weine sind auch gut, Vorspeisen und Beilagen sind auch ok, Bedienung freundlich und flott, fast familiär, Ich frage immer den Ober was frisch ist, was er empfiehlt oder was heute nicht auf der Karte steht und jedes Mal bekomme ich was feines.. mit der richtigen Weinempfehlung... Vorneweg Portwein oder Sherry, dazu Wasser, Aioli und Brot. Preise sind ok für Hamburg Innenstadtlage und eng bin ich noch nie gesessen...
