A nice little restaurant with very nice and courteous staff! Despite the high capacity utilization, they made it possible for us to get a place at short notice and the food arrived very quickly and was delicious 😋!

Beginning... Wrong food delivered... happens. OK. Everything seems a bit messed up. Incorrect invoicing. Thumbs down. Meals are charged twice... But everything was quickly corrected. Oh well. Thumbs up. Tapas are small. Thumbs down. The dishes were straight forward. Solala.

Die Bedienung war sehr nett und das Essen war schnell da. War aber auch schon alles was gut war. Die Patatas Bravas waren wässrig und nicht warm. Die Datteln ebenso.. Die Gambas schwammen im Öl und die Salzkartoffeln waren ebenfalls wässrig.. also nicht empfehlenswert..

Liebloses anrichten der Speisen und ein sehr unfreundliches Personal auf höfliche Nachfrage tat der Kellner als verstünde er kein Deutsch. Das Casa del Sabor Restaurant liegt im Portugiesenviertel bei den Landungsbrücken. Allerdings kein Garant für gute portugiesische Küche. Ganz im Gegenteil. Das Essen steht in keinem Verhältnis zu den Preisen. Der Fisch war nicht richtig durch, das Gemüse aus dem Tiefkühlbeutel. Ein Besuch lohnt sich nicht. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Sehr einfache, billige Küche, mangelhafter Service, überteuerte Preise. Nicht nochmal.

Rarely have I had such good paella

After a walk with friends along the Elbe, we stopped at the “Casa del Sabor”. Since our friends are not from Hamburg and had read about the Portuguese Quarter, they wanted to eat there. We ourselves are from Hamburg and work in the catering industry and a restaurant in the Portugiesenviertel would not have been our first choice. Due to the very good Google reviews, we ended up in “Casa del Sabor”. In the House of Taste. Family business, authentic Portuguese atmosphere, particularly friendly and attentive service, best paella, great tapas, fresh fish and fair price-performance ratio. An insider tip on a side street. Sounds promising! Unfortunately, we didn't feel that way and were even so disappointed that I gave it my first Google review. The fish was overcooked and dry, the vegetables were more than al dente and had a bland taste. The potatoes were very greasy and unfortunately anything but crispy, but there was an abundance of them on the plate. A meal that was very heavy on the stomach and had nothing to do with light Mediterranean cuisine. If you don't like it, then it's always a waste of money because the restaurant isn't cheap. Regarding the service, it should be said that in many other restaurants I have been served much more friendly, attentive, approachable and professional. There are so many better ones in Hamburg Restaurants that are run with a lot of love, desire and passion, value good products (really fresh fish) and want to give their guests a wonderful evening. And we will invite our friends there next time. We won't eat at the "Casa del Sabor" again and have the feeling that the restaurant doesn't value it.

It is simply the best restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter. We have been coming regularly for many years. The paella is to die for! The family is very warm! You feel completely comfortable.

Very good food and the waiter was always very, very nice

We ordered the grill plate and unfortunately we were disappointed, some of the meat was burnt and didn't taste particularly spectacular. After we commented on this, we were put off and brought a créme brulée, which unfortunately didn't suit us at all. Unfortunately it wasn't a nice dinner today.

I popped in for an early dinner. The menu choice was great, catering for small dishes to mains and also children's dishes. I went for the grilled anchovies, roasted potatoes and spanish cheese with honey. All well prepared and delicious

Great family run Portuguese restaurant, delicious food and great service. We felt very comfortable. We'd love to come back.

There are very tasty tapas here. My tip: Breaded sheep's cheese with cranberry sauce. The white Rioja is also great. Service is attentive, even when it's busy - as was the case when we visited on a Saturday. The restaurant is popular and if you don't have a reservation during peak times in the early evening, you can expect to wait between 10 and 15 minutes. The location is quiet on a side street, the parked cars disturb the ambience a little. In terms of price, we thought it was fair for Hamburg. We can recommend this location and would love to come back!

Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Leider war das Essen sehr mäßig. Fleisch war trocken und zäh und die als Spezialität des Hauses angepriesene Kräutersauce war ein Witz. Würde nicht nochmal dort essen gehen.

It was a perfect experience to be here as a quick stop after 5 km walking with 4-years-old daughter. Sangria was good, tomato soup is as well. There were a children’s menu. So it’s was really supportive 😎 Additional gratitude to the host of the restaurant- he has a really good sense of humor 🙏🏻

The food was very tasty, the service was also very nice. But the seating outside is a bit old and everything is very wobbly, so you don't want to sit for long because it's uncomfortable.

Very tasty paella. Not too dry and a good amount of seafood. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. Before the meal there was delicious bread and a very tasty garlic dip.

Eat good. Unfortunately, the boss doesn't feel like being a host. Beer is piss-warm.

We were there at the weekend and were simply thrilled. The service was extremely friendly - the interior was harmonious and the food was a dream. We had tapas, fish soup and a children's plate (with turkey) and everything was beyond delicious. The prices are more than reasonable... Unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant, wenn wir in Hamburg sind - diesmal haben wir es geschafft, 3x dort zu essen. Der Service ist freundlich und auf Zack. Es gibt vorher 1 Körbchen Brot mit Aufstrich. Wir hatten 2x Tapas und 1x Kanichen "Spezial" sowie die Grillfleischplatte. Alles war superlecker!!! Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Hamburgaufenthalt sehe gerne wieder!!!

A nice restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter, Spanish food at its best! Looking towards the kitchen, I saw what was being dragged out there. Large portions are one thing, my paella was so delicious, I can't describe it any other way. It's definitely worth taking a look at the first side street on the right, where the restaurant is. Absolutely nice service, reasonable prices. Top!

And you liked it very much. Sitting outside when the weather is good is wonderful. Leading it is typically Portuguese. The service is quick and attentive. The food was good, the portion size was manageable. The prices are rather high.

Sonntagabend trotz viel Trubel im Portugiesen-Viertel dort mit vier Personen und Hund eingekehrt. Etwas eng, aber sehr gemütlich. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Die Drinks kamen sehr schnell und waren lecker. Unsere Essen (2 x verschiedene Fischgerichte, ein Fleischgericht und ein vegetarisches) kamen schnell und wir waren alle sehr zufrieden damit! Alle Gerichte waren nicht zu teuer, aber jeden Cent wert. Wenn wir wieder in Hamburg sind, werden wir gerne wieder ins Casa del Sabor einkehren.

Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen. Einmal Venusmuscheln in Weisweinsoße und einmal Stockfisch in Weisweinsoße im Tontopf. Das war beides unglaublich gut. Sehr zu empfehlen. Als Nachtisch Creme Catalan und der Abend war perfekt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Waited 1.5 hours for food, while the neighboring table, who showed up much later, was served food before us. Microwave overheated food. The liqueur, which was intended as compensation, could no longer save the situation.

It was ok...when we paid we were told that they only take cash...that was stupid...

Cozy restaurant with very closely spaced tables. The tapas beforehand were still quite good. The fish platter for 2 cannot take advantage of this. Fish and shrimp completely overcooked and dry. Garlic sauce that was specially ordered tasted more like poultry and was lumpy - like it came from a bag and was poorly introduced. Unfortunately, the service couldn't help either - smiling wasn't a strong point that evening. Therefore: 1x is enough!! There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

Great shop with top dishes from Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. We were excellently guided through delicious dishes off the menu. The icing on the cake was that the waiter returned €100 that had been given out in error. Sincerity cannot be emphasized enough! Until next time !

Big problem... The restaurant appears as open on the internet, having already been there and having very good memories of it, I wanted to go back.. So I walked through the door. In fact the restaurant was closed... I don't know how I could have guessed... light, door not locked... I just got violently attacked by a member of their team, under the pretext that I would have must have known it was closed...he yelled at me and was on the verge of physically attacking me. Fortunately the rest of the team came out to control the situation and the other dingo.

Spontaneously found this restaurant in the Portuguese Quarter and got a table without a reservation. The food was rich and very good, the service was friendly. Unfortunately we overlooked the notice that card payment is not possible. Highly recommended and I would be happy to get a table here again.

Were here for a party with 15 people. The staff seemed very stressed and therefore rather rude. The food was okay. But portions very small and very expensive. The shop is very small and cramped. This means it gets very warm very quickly. Parking is possible on the street for three euros an hour. Otherwise you will also find a parking garage about 250m away. But costs a similar amount. Conclusion: unique experience was ok. But I won't eat here again!

The decor and ambience in this restaurant is not great at all. Small tables, old wobbly benches and everything very cramped. The operation can only be rated as sufficient. Of 4 meals (tapas), only 3 were served at the same time and we had to wait a long time for the 4th. Unfortunately the food was just average and the price is high. The bread with a very small bowl of aioli, which was filled in front of our eyes from a large plastic bucket at the counter, has to be ordered separately and of course paid for. We've been there once and tried it out, but I can't recommend this restaurant.

Clear recommendation. Three of us were in this restaurant on Saturday, February 17th, 2024. We were greeted very politely at the entrance and escorted to a seat. Orders were taken without a long wait and the food came very quickly. Steak medium, as requested - by the way, very great grill aroma. Terrific appetizers, mushrooms, cheese and ham rolls and mini grill skewers. We were very surprised by the prices, which are also suitable for people with a small budget. Clean and rustic atmosphere invites you to linger. We'll definitely be back.

Food (we had the fish platter for two) very tasty all types of fish) The only drawback was we ordered beer (Veltins) which doesn't fit in the north. But we will come back to try more delicious dishes

Wir haben an einem Freitag Abend spontan einen Tisch bekommen und waren so begeistert. Wie wurden herzlich empfangen und die Bestellung recht schnell aufgenommen. Die Getränke und das Essen sind in sehr kurzer Zeit an den Tisch gekommen. Wir waren total begeistert, von der Aufmerksamkeit des Services und dem Essen. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant einwandfrei weiter und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Danke für die Herzlichkeit und dem leckeren Essen.

Ein Spanischer Chef mit einem spanischen und portugiesischen Koch im potugischen Viertel von Hamburg zeigt Herzlichkeit und gute Küche. Das Restaurant ist ein Familienbetrieb durch und durch. Der Fisch ist exzellent, das Steak gut. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier sowie das Herzblut am Essen und Leben. Daher kommen wir wieder

Waren an Silvester im Restaurant und hatten reserviert. Menue war sehr gut und der Preis war angemessen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend und das Essen war sehr gut und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Waren 2 Tage später beim Essen und war sehr sehr gut und wieder sehr netter Abend. Preis-Leistung war top.

Der Service war super nett, der Chef hat uns perfekt beraten, gesagt besser weniger Tapas bestellen und lieber nachbestellen wenn noch Hunger besteht. Das Essen kam wirklich schnell. Und es hat alles wirklich alles sehr lecker geschmeckt. Wir würden sofort wieder da essen.

Der gegrillter Tintenfisch war hervorragend. Auch der gegrillte Wolfsbarsch (Loupe de Mer) war ein Gaumenschmaus - und frisch !, was man an den hellen Gräten sieht wie wir vom Wirt aufgeklärt wurden. Das Lokal hat ganztägig warme Küche. Wir waren um 15:00 Uhr da und haben die Ruhe und den netten Kontakt zu den Betreibern sehr genossen. Für uns ein Highlight in Hamburg ! Bargeld mitnehmen, da keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

I'm sorry, but there was no 'sabor' at all. The food was bland, salty and therefore not really enjoyable. It's quite disappointing... Personell is nice, though.

Das Restaurant können wir zu 100% empfehlen! Wir haben noch nie so eine schmackhafte, frisch (!) zubereitete Paella gegessen. Wir wurden im Vorfeld darauf hingewiesen, dass die Zubereitung ca. 30 Minuten dauert, was wir wirklich gut fanden. Die Paella war auf den Punkt genau, denn der Reis hatte noch einen ganz leichten Biss, es war nichts matschig und die Meeresfrüchte, sowie das Gemüse schmeckten frisch und alles sah sehr ansprechend aus. Die Portionen waren riesig und beim nächsten Mal würden wir uns sicherlich, vorab eine Portion Tapas, eine Pfanne teilen (wir sind eigentlich gute Esser). Aioli und Brot wurden vorab gereicht und waren auch sehr lecker. Das Restaurant an sich ist klein und gemütlich, die Atmosphäre lädt ein, länger sitzen zu bleiben. Die Lautstärke der Gäste ist gut hörbar, stört aber nicht, da es irgendwie dazugehört - lebhaft wie im Urlaub eben. :) Wir waren froh reserviert zu haben, denn das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt und draußen warteten schon wieder Leute. Ist ja auch kein Wunder bei diesem feinen Essen...😉
