Very plentiful and super delicious.

We were there with eight people last Saturday for a pork knuckle/ham hock meal. We were all very impressed with the food. Everything was delicious, and the ham hock was super crispy. We received very friendly and helpful service. We'll be back next year. P.S. You can also eat there in the summer and enjoy sitting by the water. Thank you for the great food.

The pumpkin soup was a dream, the daily special (grilled knuckle of pork / pork knuckle) was divine (also thanks to the world's best sauerkraut / pea puree), the rump steak was tender, and the beer was delicious. It's clearly no longer an insider tip: Every seat is booked. Great work by the team!

We went there by boat and used the restaurant's pier. Everything went well. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Because we enjoyed it so much, we stayed overnight. There's electricity and water at the pier. You can also reserve a mooring. We'd be happy to go back.

We had lunch here and signed up for breakfast. Both meals were delicious. The breakfast, for €15 per person, included everything your heart could desire and was basically way too much 😅 The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome; even our dog felt well looked after here.

Went there for coffee. A pot of coffee according to the menu costs €6.40!!!, but the cash register says €6.50!!! – so, selling two a week and 1kg of coffee for around €13 at the retail price is definitely a huge profit margin! Not comparable to a cappuccino for €4.90!? – The cake was thawed frozen, but even at €3.90 per slice, it still had a high profit margin – it came warmed up but with "leftover frozen fruit." A thin slice of frozen apple strudel with two small scoops of ice cream for €9.90 is also "sporty." Yes, the location is great. But can and must you set the prices like that? – Even if you only have time in the summer to collect your profit for 12 months? After a phone call, I found out. When I contacted them, there was no word of understanding, no apology for the two €0.10 charges that were obvious due to the price errors on the card and cash register. Well, "walk-in customers" don't come back every day. And if they're constantly changing, the "concept" is very good for the operator. A bit of a shame for me. But oh well, I wouldn't recommend it much.

It's right on the water, and we even got a mooring for our boat right away. The service was friendly and courteous. The food was delicious, plentiful, and I thought €85 for two people was reasonable for the quality. You should definitely make a reservation.

A homely restaurant, very good food, and good value for money. We had reserved a table in advance, but were able to move our tables (in the shade). Friendly staff, delicious food. We highly recommend it and would gladly return.

Four people and two dogs visited "Zum Achter" on a houseboat. We received a warm welcome. The schnitzels here are phenomenal; we haven't had such good quality in a long time. They're thin, lightly breaded, pounded, and melt in your mouth. Not tough and greasy... simply fantastic, just how schnitzel should be. The fried potatoes were the same, sizzled to perfection and not burnt or greasy. All the dishes were very finely and intensely seasoned, but not salty. We went there twice within a week and had several schnitzel variations, a large salad, rump steak, and a prawn pan. The steak was cooked exactly medium, as requested. We would love to come back. Oh, and the overnight stay at the dock was also moderate. Restrooms at the campsite were clean and in good condition. Highly recommended

Well, first the good stuff. The food was delicious and the portions were decent. The ambiance was also very nice, especially when sitting outside. Buuuuut. The service was rude and made you feel a bit unwelcome. With advance warning that the food would take a while, we waited almost an hour. When we finally wanted to pay, no one was there. The restaurant was deserted. I hope it was just a bad day.

Very idyllic location... Easy to moor your boat... Friendly staff and delicious food... The barbecue on Wednesdays is highly recommended, with great food and great music... Simply perfect!!!

Unfortunately, we were ignored until we finally left... The waitress was there. They put "Reserved" signs on the surrounding tables, but unfortunately, they weren't able to serve us. What a shame.

We're currently moored at the dock with our houseboat. This is our second time here. On Wednesday evening, there was a fantastic pirate-themed children's program, followed by dancing with a DJ. The food came straight from the grill in the beer garden, including homemade potato salad. The service was fast and friendly! Those who dock overnight can use the bread roll delivery service for the morning or book the breakfast buffet directly. GREAT! We'll be back and will definitely have another Köstritzer "from the glass in a glass" ;))

Great for families with children. Plenty of ways to pass the time. We were there on a houseboat and were able to eat our meals on the boat. Great service!

It was the best meal of our vacation – the chef knows his stuff (linguine in chanterelle sauce and strips of beef: beef cooked to perfection, with wonderful roasted flavors and a lovely seasoning). You can also pre-order beef specialties, such as a tomahawk steak. I called spontaneously and managed to get a table before the evening rush started (otherwise, be sure to make a reservation – during the holidays, all the tables were reserved in the evening). The place must be pretty busy during peak times. A direct view of the lake and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant in a beautiful holiday resort! We visited by boat. As a restaurant visitor, electricity is even free for boats at the guest mooring. Water costs €1/120l. The food was simply delicious. Whether it was pork knuckle jelly, schnitzel, or plain pasta – everything tasted great. We received warm service, with a generous portion of humor and joie de vivre (both in 2020 and again in 2025). The small "nightcap" Hirschkuss (deer kiss) is a must for any herb lover. At the back of the restaurant, there is a kiosk with many small snacks for bathers. The resort itself is cutely designed with many small Finnish huts and looks very well-maintained. A great destination – not just for water hikers. Update 5 years later: still great :) On Wednesdays, there is a barbecue with a variety of delicacies, from chicken and spareribs to a fantastic potato salad. I really can't understand how these reviews came about. I've never experienced such abysmal service. Unenthusiastic, disinterested staff. We were completely ignored. When I asked for a table, the lady couldn't care less. We just sat down anywhere. Everyone who came after us received a menu, some even before they were seated, but not us. After waiting 35 minutes, my husband went inside and asked for a menu. Then we sat for another 20 minutes and waited for someone to come. And it wasn't full; everyone else was fine. So, if you don't get a cent in tips, you should be concerned, but the worst thing is, I had the impression that the staff didn't even notice... I found it beyond disorganized, 4 servers for 9 occupied tables, and the large one on the side, unbelievable. The food and the view were okay. Nevertheless, it was our last visit. Truly unbelievable, I've never experienced anything like this before. I thought about leaving three times.

We had dinner today as a group of six. Both the service and all the dishes were truly excellent. We'd love to come back.

We spontaneously went for dinner. Despite having many reservations, we were able to stay. The food was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, just the way it should be. The fried potatoes were excellent. The baked potato with salmon was also very tasty. The service was excellent. Fast and friendly service. I highly recommend it. The price/performance ratio is right.

We docked our boat overnight. The shower and toilet facilities were very basic, but adequate and clean. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. The evening, overlooking the mirror-smooth lake, was idyllic. We returned a second time, just for the strawberry sundae and the cucumber salad.

The food is truly exceptional. For those arriving by boat, there's a dock where you can moor. You can also stay overnight.

We sat on the large terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. The food was good but nothing special. We had baked potatoes with herb quark, salmon, and salad. (The salad was ridiculously small, and the potatoes and salmon weren't plentiful either.) And Swiss schnitzel with croquettes and salad. (The schnitzel was too small for a grown man, and the salad, about 2 tablespoons in size, was ridiculous.) Drink prices are also high. Here, you're probably paying mainly for the view. Given the prices, I expect corresponding portion sizes.

We docked our boat and reserved a table for six of us at lunchtime. Otherwise, we would have missed out. Very delicious food, good and friendly service, and the mooring fees were reasonable. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, it was a mess; we were looking forward to our meal. Our order was forgotten. After an hour of asking, they noticed and reordered, telling us to wait 30 minutes. Unfortunately, nothing happened there either. In the end, at least we got an apology when we wanted to pay for the drinks, which were also on the house. It was still a shame, and we were still hungry that evening.

We've always been satisfied, but today we're sitting in a packed restaurant and have been waiting two and a half hours for our food. We arrived at 6:30 p.m., and the food arrived at 9:12 p.m. Unbelievable. Our mood is at rock bottom, no drinks on the house, and Saturday night is not recommended. Very disappointing.

We arrived by boat. It was beautifully situated, with a direct boat dock. In the off-season, it was easy to find a mooring, even on a Saturday. In the high season, it's certainly a different story. A fantastic view, a beach right next door. Friendly service. The food (schnitzel with fries and salad, pork knuckle in aspic with fried potatoes) was good, home-style cooking and decent, though the salad was a bit small. You can definitely make it.

Theoretically very nice, especially for mooring by boat. As a simple visit, I would recommend coming in summer because I think it's quite romantic then. Despite all this, you also have a campsite around you and that is partly noticeable. Not sooooo suitable for vegetarians and vegans

A very nicely located location with a very nice sandy beach and an attached holiday home complex. The service was friendly and on the go. Drinks came immediately and food came after a short wait. Everyone was happy with what was served. The menu is manageable, but everyone has found what they are looking for. Definitely recommended for an overnight anchor stop.

"Simply unbelievable! We wanted to dock our houseboat at the restaurant's dock, but we saw on Google that it was closed. (out of season) We called anyway and asked if we could still dock. What happened next completely exceeded our expectations: the owner came to the restaurant especially for us to let us dock! But that wasn't all. Even though the restaurant was actually closed, he asked us if we would like to eat something and opened the kitchen just for us. He prepared something for us Fantastic food that was made with so much love and care. We have never experienced such exceptional hospitality and friendliness. We are overwhelmed and can highly recommend this restaurant - not only because of the great food, but also because of the incredible people behind it.

Very good cuisine. The prices are in the upper midrange, but you get decent portions and it's very tasty. A playground just around the corner and a view of the water completes the whole thing. Parking spaces are available and card payment is also possible.

Great location right on the water and very friendly staff. As with most holiday destinations, a bit overpriced (chicken nuggets and fries EUR 8.50) The furnishings inside remain in the style of the 90s. You don't want to go in there. The toilet was very clean, which also speaks for the kitchen.

Very great location, right on the lake. The restaurant is located on the grounds of the holiday park. The food was very tasty and the service was nice. On Wednesdays there is only warm food until 4 p.m., then a barbecue buffet from 6 p.m.
