The atmosphere was lovely! True to the motto "Small but perfectly formed," they serve excellent food. None of us had a single complaint on tonight's burger night! A big thank you to the service team and the chef! Highly recommended.

Wonderful atmosphere, homey feel. I'm not a big fan of German cuisine, but this was a 10/10. Pork medallions with potato croquettes and creamy mushroom sauce. Beef rolls with red cabbage dumplings. Excellent :)

We dined here again on November 1st, 2025, and were once more very satisfied. Making our reservation in advance via email was incredibly easy. We received a very warm welcome and excellent service. Our meals, such as the Wiener Schnitzel and medallions, were absolutely superb. The service was excellent – ​​very attentive and efficient. Anyone visiting Rheinsberg should definitely eat here. Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars, perfect. We'll be back!

We ended up at Laternenhof quite by chance, as the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. And that turned out to be a stroke of luck. We received a warm welcome and excellent service in the modern yet cozy atmosphere. The menu is small, but there's something for everyone. The fish soup was one of the best we've ever had, and even the appetizer portion was generous. The caramelized goat cheese was simply delicious, and the accompanying salad was beautifully arranged. The pork medallions were cooked to perfection and incredibly tender, and the sauce was clearly homemade, not from a packet. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The Laternenhof Rheinsberg restaurant prepared a truly excellent beef roulade. Filled with bacon and onions, the roulade was served with dumplings and red cabbage. The flavor was exquisitely delicious, and the rich sauce was so full-bodied. A taste experience never experienced before in a restaurant serving beef roulades. Unfortunately, we couldn't judge the quality of the food. We asked if we could eat and waited with the children for over five minutes for an answer. Why couldn't they just say there were no seats available?

A very nice little restaurant in the back courtyard with indoor and outdoor seating. We were lucky and got a seat without a reservation. However, a reservation is advisable, especially on weekends, to enjoy this restaurant. Despite the fact that the lady was alone and serving all the tables, the service was extremely friendly. She smiled away the stress with a professional smile and did a great job! RESPECT! The food was impeccable and very tasty, and the daily drink, "Laternenhof Sprizz," was also delicious. All in all, a well-rounded experience and highly recommended. Service, ambiance, and cuisine… everything is just right here. An absolute must in Rheinsberg.

We happily made a reservation at the Laternenhof today. We liked the food and the online menu, so we made the reservation. Unfortunately, when we got there, we discovered that the daily special was no longer available at 6:50 p.m., so we chose from the à la carte menu. Unfortunately, the online menu wasn't the same as the one in the restaurant, so we just had what you'd get everywhere: schnitzel and pork fillet with mushrooms. The food was good, but nothing special. It's a shame that the online menu simply lists different things, and it's just like any other restaurant around the corner.

I don't like going to German restaurants. But here I was truly surprised and won over. My husband melted at the beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. My daughter's rump steak also looked fantastic. But my ravioli was a painting. The sauce, the spinach, and the salad garnish were a poem. The light fries my grandson had were real light potato slices, crispy fried and lightly salted. There was nothing left over. All the dishes were delicious, full of flavor. We noticed that the chef is a master of his craft and cooks and presents with love. The service was very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure!

Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und einladend. nnBesonders gut haben mir die Ravioli geschmeckt – sie waren hervorragend zubereitet. Auch die Rinderroulade war ein Genuss, zart und voller Geschmack. Und der Schokokuchen zum Dessert war einfach himmlisch! nnIch kann den Laternehof nur empfehlen und freue mich auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Had a very tasty meal today. Schnitzel with croquettes and fried eggs. Additional orders such as cream mushroom sauce were no problem. The fish fillet on lentil risotto with triplets was also very well received. Fast and very friendly service. Praise also goes to the excellent chef. We would love to come back.

The waitress “Petra” was very polite and accommodating, great memory The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, blood sausage and liver sausage (extremely good) were no longer available on the second day. The roulade was tender, not dry and the sauce was not too thick and not too thin and tasted excellent. The rump steak was to the point as desired, the sauerbraten was unanimously very tasty and the senior portions were well proportioned. Recommended at any time!

Das Essen war sehr gut und auch appetitlich hergerichtet. Einem Tip folgend sind wir in dieses, etwas versteckt liegende, Restaurant(Hinterhof), gekommen. Leider ist die Bedienung weit weg von einem Benehmen, das man sich als zahlender Gast wünscht. Wir wurden aus unerfindlichen Gründen von dem gewünschten Tisch auf einen anderen Tisch verwiesen. Nach mehr als 10 min sind wir weder nach einem Getränkewunsch gefragt worden noch wurde uns die Karte gereicht. Wir haben uns dann von dem 1 m entfernten Stapel 2 Speisekarten genommen und sind sofort angezischt worden "sie stressen mich" (original Wortwahl) aber fanden erstmal Beachtung. Auf unseren Satz, dass man auch freundlicher sein könnte antwortete sie nicht mit einer Erklärung/Entschuldigung sondern "na dann tschüss" (auch hier original Wortwahl). wir ließen uns nach 15 minütiger Wartezeit auf die Getränkewahl nicht entmutigen. Wie oben beschrieben war das Essen lecker. Auf Trinkgeld habe ich erstmals seit über 10 Jahren verzichtet. Ich empfehle dringend, dass man der Bedienung klar macht das die "Stresser" zahlende Gäste sind und auch als Gäste behandelt werden möchten.

The landlady is extremely attentive and friendly and very focused on the matter, even though it was busy and she was alone. Her husband is in the kitchen and puts great dishes on the plate. A small, fine, very tasteful card. I have never eaten such great potato slices as fries in my life. If we visit Rheinsberg again, we will definitely come to you. Keep it up and success will continue.

After visiting the castle, we spontaneously planned to eat here. The menu sounded good, although overpriced (as in most other restaurants in Rheinsberg, due to tourism). But you can at least expect good and courteous service. Unfortunately, the opposite was the case. No greeting or farewell, let alone “please/thank you”. When we entered the restaurant, the waitress very rudely directed us outside. So we left the restaurant disappointed and angry about this lack of politeness and decided to spend our money in another restaurant.

Läuft man auf der Straße vorbei fällt er kaum auf, der Laternenhof, denn er ist auf dem Hinterhof. Nettes kleines Restaurant mit sehr netter Bedienung, kleiner Speisekarte, aber das was angeboten wird hat eine super Qualität. Im Sommer, mit Plätzen im Innenhof, sicher noch besser. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
