The food was amazing especially the tiramisu, one of the finest I've ever had. The service is very quick, the food is also great.

Had dinner there yesterday. Great ambience, great service, food was great. Can only be recommended!!!!

I have rarely eaten such a delicious pizza (with figs and truffle oil). The price is okay, the atmosphere is nice, the location next to the Stage Theater is perfect for grabbing a bite to eat beforehand 😂. The only thing that deducts one star is the availability of the employees... we would have drunk more if there had been someone at the table more often. But all in all recommended, had a lovely evening here.

Walked past this restaurant and couldn’t help but notice how classy it looked from the outside. Very respectable. The open fire caught my eye, so we decided to pop in and try their pizza — wood-fired, of course. 🍕 The pizza? Not life-changing, but definitely good. Perfect for warming up with friends in this area. The place has some charm, though — high ceilings, big, interesting paintings on the walls, and these cool round chandeliers. They add a little personality to an otherwise pretty standard spot. Service was solid. The waiters were quick, efficient, and earned themselves a solid 5 euros in tips. No complaints there. 💁‍♂️ Overall, it’s a decent place to stop by if you’re in the neighborhood. Not unforgettable, but nice enough. Plus, who doesn’t love a bit of fire with their pizza? 🔥😉

Had a company party. All I can say is it was great. Food was served equally quickly for everyone and the service was excellent. Always happy to do it privately.

Last Friday we were in the waiting room restaurant with a group of 10 people. Perfect service, very friendly staff, the pizzas were consistently delicious and the wine was good. Only the salad mista was quite simple. What more could you want! Thank you again for the good hospitality in the beautiful ambience.

3 out of 4 meals were tasty. Unfortunately, my noodles tasted like the day before. I don't think the price is justified. The portions are too small and the man is incredibly rude and insulting. We won't be coming back.

I've been in Berlin for Probfn since December. What can I say, the waiting room is my second home. The food is super delicious! The service is fantastic. Sami the waiter can read your (your) wishes from your lips. A must for anyone traveling in the Kantstrasse neighborhood!!!!!!!!

My reviews of the visit on January 4th, 3025. We were in Berlin for a weekend on January 4th. See the musical Ku'damm 59 in the evening. I gave this to my wife for her birthday. Since we were staying at Motel One, we ate in the waiting room beforehand. The atmosphere is nice, the food was great except for the fries (not crispy frozen fries like at MC). Had the BBQ burger and my wife had chicken fillet. The service until the drinks were delivered was great but then... O Juice and beer were ordered and brought to the table a short time later. The waiter showered me with the O juice and 5 beers. The right side of the pants was wet except for the bottom, the sweater and shirt were wet, the socks and the shoes were wet. Class. OK it can happen but they brought me a cloth to dry off. A few red napkins should do the trick, of course, with light-colored clothing 🤬. We were given a new spot next to the front door because the food had already arrived. OK, we said to ourselves because we were hungry. Then the front door was opened a little because the restaurant was a bit smoky due to the open kitchen. This meant that it was very drafty. Great with wet clothes, nice and fresh. Since then we have hardly been noticed. No apology other than a small sorry. Then came the bill. No discount. I thought that at least the drinks would be waived. I specifically pointed out that we want to go to the musical in 1.5 hours and I don't have any other pants. They can't help that. So get out of the restaurant and go to Alex. First buy new pants. I had the rest with me as a replacement. I would have expected something more. Even if the food was good, it left a very negative impression, so we won't go back to the waiting room. Of course, something can always happen, but then you deal with it differently. I hope you respond to this review and improve the service. We barely made it to the musical because I was still allowed to shower. Smelled a lot like beer, which was delicious.

Visit in December 2024 Great central location, nice atmosphere. What bothered us was that the tables for two in the front area were very close together, so that you could directly hear the neighbors' conversations. That didn't seem so comfortable to us. Therefore only 4 points. Nice and fast service. Food was tasty. We find the prices for pizzas to be very high, but that is due to the location. Hence the 4 points here too. Very clean and stylish toilets.

Very tasty meal with a large group (> 10 people). Unfortunately, a dish was forgotten and the person had to wait a moment for the burger... that can happen. But food was great. Both starter and main course. Very good quality 👍🏻 The shop was very full, so sometimes the waiters were very involved and you had to be proactive about getting the next drink (that's why only 4 stars here).

Pre-booking a table is strongly recommended. Staff are absolutely in a good mood, quick, unobtrusive and very competent. But also with the necessary wink. Here the proverbial cogs mesh smoothly. It wasn't the last time we were here.

Das Restaurant ist modern eingerichtet, aber die Stühle etwas unbequem. Das Personal empfängt freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich kam später am Abend hinein, weil ich noch etwas essen wollte. Auf der Tageskarte hatten sie Rinderfiletspitzen mit Risotto und Steinpilzen. Tatsächlich war es ein Risotto mit wenig Fleisch und intensivem Steinpilzgeschmack. Allerdings hatte ich den Eindruck, dass der Geschmack allein vom Steinpilzöl herrührt. Die Pilze sahen nicht wie Steinpilze aus.

The inside and outside both absolutely breathtaking, the decorations and appearance is outstanding, very posh and elegant. The food is absolutely amazing, everything tastes immaculate and better than you could think. Its appearance is also better than described, each dish looks well presented. The service is incredible, they are all very friendly and welcome you by the door. Overall, if you had to pick a restaurant to go to in Berlin i would 1000% recommend that you choose Wartesaal.

Me and my daughter came to berlin and we visited twice , the staff are especially welcoming . Our waiter santi was so attentive and lovely and if we ever come back to verlin we will be sure to visit here again . The food was 10/10 and the restaurants atmosphere was very relaxing

We were there with eleven people and the restaurant was full to capacity. The food was well prepared and was very tasty. Great acoustics in the room; you could still have a good time. I would be happy to come back at any time.

Table reserved online a week ago. Canceled half an hour before for no reason. Even when we asked by phone, we received no explanation and no table. It's a shame, we were happy :-(

Staffs are very friendly but noone bring us menu and salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar when the bread are served...the risotto and salmon with lobster sauce are very delicious. Will come again. 16.09.2024 To reply the owner reply. Yes, everything was ok. The seasonal dishes were delicious. I only want to say, there were no spicy on our table, since I took the salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar from the next table for our bread, no big deal, it's all fine.

very nicely decorated but the pizza 🍕 is not a masterpiece, the dough is not a perfect craft and the entire topping slides down when lifted. Coffee and tea are very tasty 😋 No response to the comment about the pizza despite the waiter asking: Did it taste good? 😡 why ask if no one is interested 🤔 As a managing director, that would make me very angry

A decent meal in an appealing ambience with friendly service in the middle of a tourist hotspot. We made the right choice. BTW: The price is also more than fair.

I ate there alone in May of this year. I was able to sit outside due to the good weather and enjoyed it. You look at the S-Bahn underpass, but I still found the ambience with tablecloths and olive trees very lovingly chosen. The service was quick, the food arrived at the table incredibly quickly (1 person), steaming hot and very tasty. I chose sepia noodles with prawns and was not disappointed. As a farewell, I was offered a limoncello on the house, even though I really didn't order much (1 main course and 1 aperitif). It was a great location for a solo dinner and I would love to come back on my next visit to Berlin.

We were already completely satisfied in this restaurant in May. Nice service, delicious food, quick processing, as we had requested. Now we were back in Berlin and in the waiting room twice. The food that Mimo, the chef, prepared for us was delicious, the service was extremely friendly and very committed. We would love to come back and hope that Mimo will cook for us again.

Yesterday I organized a business meal for 16 people in the “Wartesaal” restaurant in Berlin and was extremely disappointed. Normally I expect friendly, attentive and courteous service - all of which was completely missing here. The self-proclaimed manager insulted one of my guests as “disrespectful” when he pointed out after 40 minutes that some people hadn’t ordered anything yet. The excuse that you are stressed is absolutely inappropriate and is not the problem of the paying guests. Only reluctantly and after threatening to dissolve the community did the manager apologize for his outrageous statement. My remaining guests agree: the service was subpar. Some had only one drink for over three hours because they were simply ignored. The food was mediocre at best and not at all commensurate with the high price. What was particularly annoying was that the plates of two guests who had just gone outside the door to smoke were simply cleared away, even though they were still half full. My clear recommendation: Find another restaurant. Here the guest is not in the foreground, but rather is viewed as a nuisance!

The pizza was excellent. Too bad about the poor Primitivo, it was far below par.

Nettes aber lautes Restaurant. Das Essen (Pizza) kam schnell. Jedoch dauerte es extrem lange, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Und eigentlich gibt es auch immer Brot mit Öl vorweg. Das wurde uns heute nicht gereicht. Vllt. weil wir nicht reserviert hatten. Schade eigentlich da die 4 Besuche vorher mehr versprochen hatten.

We came to the Waiting Room restaurant by chance and had a great evening there. Very attentive, good staff who do their job with a lot of fun and an outstanding customer orientation. You felt more like you were with friends. The food was in no way inferior. Whether the antipasto plate for 2, the pizza, the pasta and also the beef fillet, they were all high-class in their own way. The creme brulee is just the icing on the cake - light and very tasty. Briefly summarized. Looking for a restaurant… found the waiting room… highly recommended!

Vor ab, die Pizza war super. Dünner Boden, gross, gut belegt. Leider wartet man wirklich im Wartesaal. Ich war am frühen Abend da. Ca. 4 Tische besetzt, 5 Kellner die sich miteinander super unterhielten. Ich musste 3 mal sagen, dass ich gerne zahlen möchte und wartete 1/2 Std. bis sich jemand dazu bemühte. Wie gesagt, das Lokal fast leer und es waren einige Kellner vor Ort.

This restaurant is next door to the Theater Des Westens. It is so convenient for a meal, dessert or coffee. We went to dinner after a show. They stay open until 00:00. Solid Italian food. Solid service. Superb location.

Delicious pizza and good service, but unfortunately in the end they refused to give us a separate bill. Completely incomprehensible and unfortunately a bit outrageous. Otherwise recommended.

I was there today around 6 p.m. There was very little going on. Almost everything was free. The table is assigned, which I personally find very pleasant. The main course came very quickly. The taste is very good but a bit too greasy. This works better in other restaurants with the same pizza. The service was quick and friendly but when I was finished it felt like it took forever for someone to come. Even after making eye contact several times. But yes. The dessert also came quickly and the taste was excellent. Also beautifully prepared. Priced perfectly!

Written in March 2024: Friendly service, reserved table was prepared, it was very full, food was again very tasty. I'll be back. Easily accessible by public transport. Right next to the Theater des Westens.

Reservations were accepted for Easter Monday, only to find out on Good Friday (i.e. 3 days before) that they had to... of the holiday "but would rather open 4 hours later." I can no longer spontaneously get a reservation for 7 people (and everyone is traveling outside of Berlin). Thanks for nothing. Will not make a reservation here again.

Very good place for dinner! We were in Berlin and had dinner here 3 evenings in a row. Everything is very tasty, the prices are very reasonable, the service is very good!

People don't always understand the placement policy. Everything was free in the back of the restaurant, but we still had to wait about 10 minutes until the waiter assigned us a table. As soon as we ordered, the food was on the table 8 minutes later. And the hectic clearing and wiping of the table signaled that we should leave quickly. The food - pizza, melon with Parma ham and vitello tonnato was excellent though. So the waiting room doesn't really fit the bill. More like a disappearing bus hall.

The location itself invites you to linger. The quality of the food is also very good, but unfortunately the experience is dampened by service and waiting times. We had reserved a table for 8 p.m. and were able to order quite quickly. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for the drinks alone. About 45 minutes for the starters to arrive and two to two and a half hours for the main course is simply too much.

Arrived food very late, it took 40 minutes, then one meal came later than others and we couldn't start eating together... Really late for just one Berger!! Normally a salvager needs 10 or 15 minutes not 50 minutes!! We were a few people and 3 people food was cold. My food was ok.
