Great service and super delicious food. When I'm back in Stuttgart I'll come back. Absolutely.

We spontaneously went out for dinner with 4 people and unfortunately couldn't enjoy the nice beer garden when the weather was great. The food was very tasty and the portions were quite large.

We had reserved a table for our group by phone. When we entered the restaurant, the first question we asked was whether we all wanted to eat something (no, just some of it). We were then informed that we would not be served. When we asked why it wasn't mentioned over the phone that all guests had to eat something, we were told in a snippy tone that it was a restaurant, which means we should have guessed it. Overall, a very unpleasant first (and last) encounter.

Unfortunately very unfriendly staff and not good service. Something was discussed three times in advance by telephone and no one knew anything about it on the day of the reservation. The guest was blamed. Really a shame!

You just can't walk past there🚶‍♀️ Swabian specialties are really great. Maultaschen no matter what kind. Delicious. The small beer garden loving and quiet. That's exactly what we were looking for. Were very happy to have stopped there.

Impeccable food. Were there with friends from the USA to show the German/Swabian food culture. Authentic Swabian cuisine like grandma's with friendly service and a cozy ambience. I can only recommend it.

We had an excellent evening here, with great food. To my dismay, the experience was somewhat spoiled at the end when my non-German friend went to pay and was asked by staff to increase his tip to 10%, with staff telling him that was "expected" and "customary" in Germany. That's not true: while everyone tips, you can tip as much as you like (and we would have given a generous tip). But this ended up in asking for a 15+ EUR tip. I think that's very inappropriate.

Always an experience!!! You can find a nice, cozy place in the middle of the big city. Here you feel coziness and taste wonderful Swabian cuisine. We were always given a very warm welcome and would be happy to come back.

Best Swabian cuisine. We've been here for the third time now and we're thrilled every time. This time there was tripe with fried potatoes. One of the best Trollinger sauces I've ever had. We will definitely come back. Thanks to the team for the excellent service.

You want to reserve a table for 6 people and are shouted at and turned away. What an arrogant manner. Msj doesn't want to leave his money there voluntarily. We don't support people like that. And that's a time when everyone miscalculates... Is it still possible?

Friendly service, the food is very good but at a high price. Sausage salad with bread costs 14 euros. The ambience is not excellent, the beer garden, more like a beer garden, is nested and small, the restaurant is nice and old, which is rare in Stuttgart due to the lack of building materials.

Lentils with spaetzle are one of my favorite dishes and I have to say that it is really delicious here! I've tried many restaurants in Stuttgart and I've enjoyed it here the best so far.

Difficult to identify vegetarian dishes. My dish (spinach balls) was good but nothing more. The dessert was very good. The server was very friendly. But the bill was higher than the dishes we took, without the possibility of verifying it. Especially since the dishes are more expensive on the English menu than on the German menu. Really disappointed with the payment. In addition, a mixture of smells (fried food, detergent, cigarettes) during the meal was frankly not pleasant.

Dear tourists, be careful! This restaurant is not honest. First, the prices offered on the English menu are more expensive than on the German menu. When you pay, you are not presented with the bill. And it turns out that it is much higher than the prices displayed! So ok, there are these stories of tips that tourists “forget” to give but putting the knife to consumers’ throats is not serious. The server was nevertheless pleasant.

Took about 40 min to get the food, one of the plates came wrong, I asked it with salad and I received potato salad. The food was cold. The lentils were not fully cooked. The speck was crunchy, according to them, was cooked and not fried. And in my plate (maultaschen) I found a piece of metal, and after showing the person in the bar he just said; sorry??? The price is also expensive, almost 20€ for each plate. Worst experience ever, don’t waist your time and money in this place.

Contrary to previous visits to the restaurant, the salad was sparse with too much dressing and the espresso was tepid. According to the waiter, this is not to be expected from an espresso machine. Hopefully both are “slips”.

Ideally typical, rustic Swabian pub with nice service, a very nice beer garden and excellent food: nice large terrine Gaisburger Marsch, practically not salted and peppered, but that can be made up for, very tasty with apparently hand-scraped spaetzle! (9.50 EUR) Then a plate with two Maultaschen, homemade, and gravy, melted onions and very tasty, flaky potato salad, in this case everything was perfectly seasoned, the Maultaschen were world class! (15.80 EUR) Plus a fine quarter of Stuttgart Trollinger, although not brick red and guaranteed to be mixed with a dark wine for coloring (Dornfelder, Domina, Cabernet, Acolon or something similar), but it was really tasty! To recommend!

Had lunch here recently. We reserved online and the confirmation came promptly by email. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, the service is on the ball and very friendly. We were able to quickly take our seats and order. We all ordered Swabian food. I had lentils with spaetzle, strings and bacon. I have never eaten such delicious lentils in any restaurant. I can say “Mom, these are as delicious as yours”. I'll come back and eat the tripe. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, I'll add them next time.

A wonderful, rustic gem in the middle of the city with a very nice and quiet beer garden. Quick and extremely friendly, courteous staff. The meals are extremely tasty across the board and, above all, sufficient. Therefore the price-performance ratio is more than correct. Worth mentioning is the good Dinkelacker beer from the Steinkrug and the homemade orange-lime lemonade. We always enjoy coming to the Tauberquelle!

A big disadvantage for me personally: you can ONLY pay in CASH!! So I had to get up, walk to the ATM, and then come back and just pay for the food. I still left a tip because it wasn't the wait staff's fault.

There were five of us eating. Very nice reception, table was good, but a little close to the neighbor, so we were able to move around without any problems (very flexible). Orders were received in a friendly manner and we regularly asked if everything was OK. All the food was great, good portions and very tasty. Gladly again...

Very good pork cheeks eaten, absolutely top class. The restaurant doesn't have much space in winter or when the weather is bad, so make sure you make a reservation. The service was friendly and quick. I'm very satisfied. 👍👍👍

Cozy and beautiful Lokas. In winter it is cozy and warm inside, in summer you can sit in the garden in the back yard. The food is super tasty and cheap for current conditions 😉 I like to be there for a beer or a cozy get-together

It's a shame, really a shame. I originally planned to give the Taubernquelle a positive review, but unfortunately that is not possible. My girlfriend and I have been looking for a long time for a good restaurant that is proud to serve Wiener Schnitzel. After intensive research (via TripAdvisor and Google, Google Maps and the like) we finally came across the Taubernquelle, as it was open until midnight. After a phone call at 9:18 p.m. reassuring us that there were enough seats and we could still order, we set off and arrived at 9:51 p.m. To our surprise, we were told that the large map would only be available for 5 minutes, after which only the small one would be available. We ordered two "original Wienerschnitzel", but they were very small compared to the original. I claim that I am a Wienerschnitzel connoisseur. The fries that came with it were very pleasant but not enough. The quality of the fries was good, I would even give them 8/10, but the schnitzel was too thick and small and the breading was flaking. Nevertheless, it tasted okay and was easy to eat, but it was hardly filling, and I see this as a disadvantage, especially for larger people. (I am 174 cm tall and weigh 74 kg.) Unfortunately there was no more dessert, but at least they asked for a coffee. The beer and Aperol were excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant, but I expected more from the service, especially since we were tourists. Locals obviously received preferential treatment. Service was sporadic and not particularly attentive. We sometimes had to wait a long time and were only served after we asked. At around 11 p.m. they started clearing away and then just sat around waiting for the store to close. Looking back, I give the restaurant 2.5/5 stars, rounded up to 3/5 stars. There is definitely room for improvement. Attached are pictures of the main course, my fingers measure about 17.575cm from the tip of the thumb to the end of the index finger to give an idea of ​​the size. In the future we will avoid this restaurant and look for an alternative. Nevertheless, it is well suited for an occasional visit and the atmosphere with the other guests was very pleasant and relaxed, so you could feel comfortable.

The food wasn't that tasty, the fried potatoes were too burnt and tasteless. The rump steak was ok, and there was a piece of very hard plastic on one plate that must have obviously fallen off something. This could have caused serious problems if broken during chewing or swallowing. This was my first and last time there. The service was also unsatisfactory; my complaint about the food was dismissed without anything being done.

For lovers of rural Swabian cuisine. The sour tripe with fried potatoes is legendary. In the best Stuttgart tradition, a lonely guest sits at every table and looks grumpy when someone wants to sit down. It couldn't be more Swabian. You just have to have it now and then

Waren mit einer Gruppe von 12 Personen dort. Bedienung sehr freundlich aber leider überlastet. Mussten sehr lange 60 min auf das Essen warten welches gut regional schwäbisch war. Highlight waren die selbstgemachten Apfelküchle.

Diesmal keine Weihnachtsgans to go, sondern Gänsebrüste und Gänsekeulen mit allem drum und dran. Abholung am 24.12. !!! hat perfekt funktioniert. Zubereitung am 2. Weihnachtstag Anleitung hat zum best möglichen Erfolg geführt. Unser Gäste waren begeistert. Heute gab es Resteessen, war genauso lecker wie am Vortag. Und wie peinlich, ich habe die Restsoße aus dem Topf noch ausgelöffelt. Hat geschmeckt wie bei Oma. Wir bestellen für Weihnachten 2024 wieder. Der Bestellzettel ist schon vorbereitet. Also nur empfehlenswert !!!

Weihnachtsstress adieu: Super leckere Weihnachtsgans (Burst und Keule) mit zweierlei Klößen, Rotkohl und Soße - vorgegart und abholbereit an Heiligabend bis mittags 12 Uhr. Alles prima verpackt und perfekte Anleitung zum Fertiggaren! Das Fleisch war wunderbar zart, mit Kräutern und Orangen gespickt, der Rotkohl mit Apfel, die Klöße leicht und die Soße wirklich fein! So macht ein Festtagsessen Spaß - tausend Dank an die Küche!

Liebes Tauberquellen-Team, wo ist das kulinarisches Erlebnis wie es auf Eurer Webseite beschrieben ist?????????? Am 18.12.23 war ich mit einem Freund in der Tauberquelle zum Gans-Essen. Ganz ehrlich geht das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis gar nicht und das kulinarische Erlebnis blieb völlig aus! 45 Euro für eine Gänsekeule mit Rotkraut, 2 Knödeln und einer hauchdünnen Päckchensoße (kräftige Gänsejus steht in der Karte) die nach gar nichts geschmeckt hat. Die Bedienung meinte das wir vom Rotkraut und von den Knödeln Nachschlag haben könnten aber das haben wir aufgrund der Qualität, die wir auf dem Teller hatten, nicht in Anspruch genommen. Gerne bezahle ich 45 Euro für eine Gänsekeule mir Beilagen, aber dann muss auch alles passen. Dies war in der Tauberquelle leider nicht der Fall. Alle Teller, die an den Tisch zu uns kamen waren beschädigt (Porzellan war an mehreren Stellen abgesprungen und teilweise regelrecht abgebrochen). Der Service war nett und dem Ambiente entsprechend. Mehr möchte ich dazu nicht sagen. Das Gans-Essen war 1.000 Kilometer von dem entfernt, was auf der Karte beschrieben und angeboten wurde. Sehr schade! Fazit! Zumindest zum Gans-Essen werde ich nicht mehr in die Tauberquelle gehen.

Essen war ok, mehr aber nicht. Die Person im Service war mit seinem Gerät zur Aufnahme der Bestellungen hoffnungslos überfordert. Auch das Bringen der Getränke in den Raum in der ersten Etage war nicht effizient und hat lange gedauert.

Haben sehr lecker Schwäbisch gegessen, schneller und sehr netter service Uriges Restaurants kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute zum Gansessen in der Tauberquelle. Es ist unglaublich, wie freundlich, aufmerksam und flink die Mitarbeiter samt Chefin dort sind. Der Gast ist König? Hier auf jeden Fall! Die Gans war super zart, es gab reichlich Beilagen (Rotkohl und zweierlei Klöße) und man war wirklich pappsatt! Vielen Dank für die herzliche Bewirtung, hier waren wir nicht zum letzten Mal.

Als Tourist habe ich diesen Laden wirklich genossen. Lokale Klassiker in angenehmer Atmosphäre und zu recht fairen Preisen. Die Portionen könnten ruhig etwas großzügiger sein, und ein bisschen mehr Freundlichkeit vom Personal wäre auch nicht schlecht. 😉 Aber alles in allem, definitiv eine Empfehlung wert!

Leider eine sehr unschöne Erfahrung aufgrund des unprofessionellen Umgangs des Personals mit seinen Kunden. Achtung: Wenn nicht alle am Tisch anwesenden Personen essen möchten, dann droht der Rausschmiss. Den haben wir letztendlich auch so hingenommen, da die Wortwahl der Bedienung nicht wirklich eines professionellen Lokals entspricht - Schade! Was ich dennoch positiv anmerken möchte, ist dass eine weitere Dame (vermutlich die Chefin?) äußerst nett und diplomatisch nach den Unstimmigkeiten gefragt hatte. Witzigerweise war sie selbst von dem drohenden Rausschmiss überrascht. Ich verstehe es wenn Menschen einen schlechten Tag haben, aber sowas habe ich selten erlebt. Über das Essen etc. möchte ich aber nicht urteilen. Daher bitte selbst hingehen und die Erfahrung machen. Kommunikation ist das A&O auch wenn es Unstimmigkeiten gibt.

Jederzeit wieder es war einfach grandios! Wir hatten einen super lustigen Abend mit netter Bedienung, Weltklasse Essen und einer noch besseren Wirtin! Danke fürs Schnapsal. Liebe Grüße aus Bayern 💙🤍💙

Leckeres Essen, im Verhältnis zu anderen schwäbischen Restaurant, eher kleinere Portionen. Service war ok, man wurde eher abgearbeitet , statt das man auf den Gast zu geht.

Locale molto carino con una cortile interno molto carino, cibo tipico molto buono. Il piatto che ho preso io (la bistecca) era molto tenera e saporita! Da tornarci sicuramente.
