Das Bier 0,5 für 7.50 ist viel zu teuer.

Gutes Bier und lecker Hähnchen! Bierzeltmusik wie erwartet.

Sehr nettes Personal, Musik leider selten so schlecht erlebt, wenig Stimmung, viele Pausen, eine einzige Enttäuschung. Kann diese Band leider nicht empfehlen, schade! Hat gar nicht verstanden, was das Publikum wollte.

Ich weiß nicht was passiert ist aber die Toiletten Situation hat sich deutlich verschlechtert. Es gab Zeitweise bei den Männern nur 2 Sitztoiletten für das ganze Zelt. Anscheinend wird ein anderer Bereich spontan geöffnet/geschlossen. Es war früher deutlich entspannter als es auch mal mehr Platz gab. Musik war leider zu viel Disko, dafür geht man nicht zu Göckelesmaier. Schade

Wir sitzen seit guten 35 Min am Tisch und wurden bisher nicht bedient. Auf Nachfrage wurde von den Bedienungen diskutiert und keiner hat sich angesprochen gefühlt. Bei diesen Preisen erwarte Ich deutlich mehr!

Obwohl ich eine Eintrittskarte gekauft hatte, war das Sicherheitspersonal unnötig unhöflich und hat mir mein ansonsten positives Erlebnis verdorben.

Im Vergleich dazu richtig tolle Musik und gutes Bier (Wulle)! Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist die Preisgestaltung: 50 Euro für drei Gutscheine à 13,50 Euro. Der Nachteil ist jedoch, dass kein Bier oder Essen den Gutscheinpreis wert ist, sodass man für alles andere immer extra zahlt.

The waiter slapped the €4.50 tip out of my hand, gave me the middle finger, and insulted me because he wanted the entire bag containing the change. He then took the Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) back and threw away the token. After that, he didn't serve us again. Absolutely rude and inappropriate. If the person responsible for this account would like a photo of the waiter, please feel free to contact us. We've now taken the remaining food vouchers home as a bad souvenir. It's unbelievable what people are allowed to get away with these days. Update: Even our complaint to the restaurant itself remained unanswered. It's unbelievable that such behavior is simply tolerated.

Once again, full marks for the marquee and the excellent service. Everything just works here. We'd love to come back in 2026.

The food was consistently overpriced and abysmally bad. I've never eaten such a bad knuckle of pork, and my colleagues were always complaining about the food.

We had a wonderful evening with Otto, whom we wished we could have kept at our table! Super friendly and attentive. The Göckele (traditional German beer) was delicious, as was the beer, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the band played a great mix of classics and modern music. It's all quite expensive, of course, but that's to be expected. Thanks for the great evening! :)

I was at the Göckelesmaier tent with the Diakonie Klinikum on October 9, 2025. My colleagues and I agreed that the Göckele were far too dry! And that's for the price!

Simply brilliant – Göckelesmaier rocks the Wasen! Great atmosphere, great music, and really good food! I'd especially like to give a shout-out to Jakov and his son Dario – they both took such great care of us, were super friendly, attentive, and always in a good mood. Celebrating is so much fun! 🎉🍻 Many thanks to the whole team – we'll definitely be back next year!

My experience here on October 5, 2025, was very exciting, especially with the band. The chicken with salad and an extra fries that I ate here was delicious.

Delicious food, friendly service. The shop in the accessible restroom offers a choice of soda, water, or even coffee. 😉

We've been going to the Spring Festival and Wasen with a large group for years to the Göckelesmaier tent. This year's experience was by far the worst. The food, as usual, was below beer garden standard. To be honest, though, it has to be said that Göckelesmaier still ranks among the top tents at the Cannstatter Wasen. The service at our table was friendly and attentive. The guest band Oh La La was a real killer of the mood, so much so that a sigh of relief was audible in the tent when a DJ finally started playing some current hits during the second intermission. It was so stuffy and hot in the tent that several people suffered circulatory collapse. Card payments weren't accepted at the bars, or at least not permitted by the staff. I seem to remember that this was actually possible in the tent a few years ago... Definitely not acceptable in 2025. A shame, we hope for a better experience next year!

Worst cheese spaetzle of my life. Several people in the group ordered cheese spaetzle, but many of them were returned because they were inedible (what could possibly go wrong with cheese spaetzle?). Beers that arrived at our table were repeatedly only three-quarters full. But the Wulle beer was good, and the service was friendly.

A successful evening. The beer tasted delicious. Next year, I'll pre-order tickets 😉

An absolutely successful visit to the Göckelsmaier festival tent at the Cannstatter Wasen! 🍻 The atmosphere was fantastic, the beer was freshly tapped, drinkable, and truly delicious. The service was fast, friendly, and always with a smile – exactly what you'd expect. The food was also impressive: large portions, hearty quality, and top-notch flavor. Of course, the prices don't seem cheap at first glance, but they're absolutely fair for the portions and the atmosphere you get here. Considering that you pay €4 for a small 0.33-liter bottle in a club, the €15 price per liter quickly becomes more or less worth it. Another important point: the restrooms were clean and well-maintained – which isn't a given at such a large festival. Conclusion: 5 stars from me! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I would come back anytime and am already looking forward to the next time!

I had a fantastic time at the Göckelsmaier. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and efficient.

The Händl beer was very tasty, the Wullebier was delicious, but the band was only mediocre, and it was very cold in the festival tent. The beer didn't really taste good.

The tent is great. The chicken is always top-notch. The music was also well-mixed, and everything costs less at lunchtime, so you don't need to reserve a spot.

Service was already bored on the second day after opening. Sunday lunch, no menus on the table. The food was okay, the Göckele (sweet pancakes) was top-notch, but the Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) was a disaster, far too thick, inedible, and we returned it in its entirety without any comment from the service staff. Well, we won't be coming back if you spend €170 as a family in the festival tent and the experience was less than okay. And to the service staff: Tipping isn't automatic, but rather an appreciation for dedicated service. However, if you seem bored and show little initiative, you shouldn't expect guests to honor that with a tip.

A unique experience that you absolutely must do.

First Oktoberfest with German friends and had the most amazing experience here. Even though I didn't know the words to the songs I still found myself dancing on the tables having a blast. Wunderbar!!

I found the prices relatively high for what was offered. Furthermore, on the day of my visit, the service wasn't as prompt as I would have liked. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me.

Restaurant service seems to be a foreign concept to the gentlemen and ladies here. Charging 50 cents for the toilet and threatening to evict them is absolutely pathetic (Bietigheim Horse Market).

Waitress Yvonne coldly rips off customers. She collects tokens and service charge upfront and then doesn't bring the items.

Göckelesmaier Festbetrieb offers traditional chicken and other dishes at the Cannstatter Spring Festival. There's plenty of seating, and the atmosphere is festive. Service is usually prompt. Prices are appropriate for the festival.

Great atmosphere and a friendly team in the festival tent. The food is also very authentic, fresh, and delicious. The restrooms are clean, and the ventilation is really good. This is our third time visiting with our massage team and we always look forward to the warm hospitality, the cheerful waiters, and the huge selection – from authentic Swabian cuisine to vegan options. There's something for everyone! Thank you!

On Mother's Day with 10 gockels and 20 masses, we took a reserved place. After ordering, the waiter wanted 1.50 service money. When we showed him that the voucher said 1.20, he was already soggy, so it went on with us all evening. We always have the right service money, but that was enough for us

Spring festival, Sunday lunchtime we are there, around 12.30 p.m. in the outdoor area. The service was quick, the drinks were picked up immediately and brought straight away. What do you eat? Of course 1/2 Göggele... unfortunately not good, the half rooster had probably been lying dry for a while... it's a shame, we were really looking forward to it and for an impressive 14.80 for half a rooster, the quality MUST be right! The meat was dry and even the skin! No, people, that was nothing! Just washing it down with beer... yuck. I never have to go there. The at least friendly waiter didn't even ask if it was good. I think the leftovers on the plates spoke for themselves. It's a shame, but I can't give it more than 2 stars, and that's only for the service!

- Tokens 13.30€, but the measurements are 14.40€ so you have to pay an extra 1.10€ each time - Table until 4:30 p.m. but after 3:30 p.m. you weren't allowed to order anything - Swabian plate for 2 people with 3 mini Maultaschen, 3 small chicken strips, 4 halves of a meat cake, a small jar of potato salad and a small jar of cheese spaetzle and that's it, for 30€ (!!!)

Absolute impudence how guests are fobbed off with tokens from reservations. Shortly after 3 p.m. the announcement comes that orders can only be placed until 3:30 p.m. because the tent will be cleared at 4 p.m. So far, so good, "coincidentally" no waiter showed up at the table afterwards and even if you specifically asked someone about an order in other areas, they didn't want to take any orders. This is simply outrageous and probably not a coincidence. Thanks for leaving us with tokens worth more than €100. It was worth it - for the tent operator. Never again Göckelesmaier.

We weren't allowed in on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. without a wristband at the entrance, even though according to the website there were seats available without a reservation. An hour later I got in at the exit without any problems. I do not understand.

Would have liked to give zero stars, sat outside around 3:30 p.m. today and waited over 10 minutes for service. There was nothing going on and no one wanted to serve us. Then they left........

Great service – honest and reliable! I lost my cell phone in the Göckelesmaier festival tent in the hustle and bustle and was initially pretty desperate. But the waitress handed it over honestly - and I was able to pick it up the next day without any problems. Huge congratulations to the team for their honesty and the smooth process. In addition to a good atmosphere and delicious food, a marquee with a heart – absolutely great!

Great atmosphere and above all a very great, friendly and attentive service! We left a cell phone lying around on our evening on site, the great staff saw this and handed it over directly to the marquee, whereupon we were contacted! Just great! They also have nice security staff and clean and sufficient toilets. Totally recommended!

Actually beautifully decorated after the Noro virus scandal. But the waiters leave a lot to be desired. A 50 cent tip is not enough, then the middle finger is shown. Writing down your order and wiping the table yourself is normal business. What are you paying for here, you ask?! The food only came after the third request. Don't know if you should give yourself that, otherwise please go without waiter Niko...

Were at Göckelesmaier Tisch 203 on May 1st. When ordering, we asked in advance that the knuckle should be well done. The waitress confirmed. The knuckle came and, like in October, was only half cooked and tough. The waitress then examined the knuckle and said: “Well, you can eat that.” She can't do anything, the boss has to come. - OK. In the meantime the meat had been eaten, the beer had been drunk, the knuckle was cold, there was no boss in sight and the person who ordered the knuckle had his stomach growling. He then ordered fries. They were cashed in straight away, even though the untouched knuckle was still standing on the table, waiting for the boss. Conclusion: customer service is zero. Never again Göckelesmaier!

Our waitress Sabina was super friendly and accommodating. She brought us food and drinks quickly and yet without any hassle, simply flawless! The food (pork knuckle) was very tasty, crispy crust and juicy meat. We'd love to come back!

No card payment accepted, food is not good for the price, unfriendly service, pay before eat, pay for toilet, not my culture.

We were there on Easter Monday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - with a break! - in the tent. As usual: the band hits the keys so hard at midday that it pushes your eardrums out of your ears. The main thing is that the party people in front of the stage get their money's worth in their imitations of traditional costumes. Otherwise: beer good, Göckele overcooked! It was thanks to the “Schwabentag” prize campaign that there were almost more guests in the tent than employees.

The food was a joke. 20€ for a mini schnitzel and 3 cranberries.

Unfortunately, our waiter was very rude and not friendly (October 9th), but the food was very good and the drinks were as ordered. Unfortunately, towards the late hour the waiter stopped coming and you had to get the drinks yourself from the bar. Overall, a rather unsatisfactory experience.

On the last Wasen day we were in the Göckelesmaier festival tent with colleagues (who work in the catering industry). At 2 p.m. the mood was already great - both among the guests and the staff assigned to our station. Since our table was reserved from 5 p.m., we looked for a free, unreserved table. We found one and were even told by the waitress that we were welcome to sit at her station. But when we came to the table with the drinks we had already paid for, she suddenly didn't like it anymore. She first complained to us that this was a table with service and why we were now arriving with drinks. I explained to her again that we had to move around and that we already had drinks. "Then just stay at your table!" Huh?! We left it like that, but from that point on she had us in her sights and was constantly complaining. She was just looking for a reason to have us thrown out, even though we were sitting together in a relaxed atmosphere among colleagues. When one of us lit a cigarette, she came running to us like a madwoman and said that there were still people around us. There is smoking throughout the Wasenzelt, but WE are the problem now. We asked those sitting next to us if they had anything against it, but they just waved it off. Because that was the umpteenth harassment from the waitress, we finally got fed up and told her in “good German” that she should leave us alone. She then ran to security. After a long discussion with her and the security, we were “allowed” to sit down again. We even apologized to her - even if we don't know exactly why. We just wanted to make peace. But apparently not you. The end of the story was: Suddenly our table was reserved from 5 p.m. and we had to vacate it. We then went to the alpine hut and had a great evening.

Worst tent on the island. We had reserved (all 18/19 years old) and got in at the front without any problems. Yes, we had forgotten our IDs but you can see that you are 18? After we had ordered beer and it arrived, security came and said that everyone had ID cards in a very rude manner. Since no one had them with him, he simply chased us out. doesn't really work at all. And we were allowed to drink more of the beer. Better not go here...

Mega party at Göckelesmaier...food, drink, service, band...everything was perfect

I've never eaten anything like that before. We were in the tent at 2:30 p.m. and were looking forward to half a chicken. We got a completely dried out, mummy-like half chicken, and despite exchanging it, the second one wasn't any better. Never again, the half canary for the proud price of 14.90. Any questions?

We felt very comfortable again in the Göckelesmaier on October 5th, 2024. From the reservation to the service in the tent, everything was perfect and very professional. Eugen, our service man in the tent, was on point and very attentive. The relaxed and peaceful atmosphere in the tent is pleasant. No stress, no arguments - a nice celebration together. We are already looking forward to next year!

Every year I come just for this delicious Göckele BUT this year it's really bad! I returned it and had it replaced... then came an even worse one! It was old and small and probably put in the deep fryer after grilling (the day before?). For €15 it was nothing. Really nothing. And now 6 hours later I feel sick 🤢

An excellent marquee to celebrate Oktoberfest in style

Craziness!!!! Great atmosphere, great music, friendly staff, very good food and delicious beers. The only disadvantage was that the seats were so cramped that four adult men would have problems if one of them was a bit stronger. And you should make sure that the beers are full. They were often only three quarters full and the rest was foam. It's a shame given the prices and it's a shame that it has to be mentioned. Waiters were very competent and correct.!!!!!

Nice tent. Enjoy your meal. Toilets are clean. Unfortunately, not only our food and drinks were booked on our table. Thank God we were attentive when paying... as it happens, that's not always the case.

Actually, I can't complain because it's your own fault if you go there, but what's being ripped off on the Wasn is really a disgrace. The only thing you can do is stop going. Starting with tokens that are worth exactly 1.10 less than a measure at exorbitant prices of 14.30 via mini chicken. But the shot was what is referred to here as a roll. You can really see how little decency and demands the operator has when it comes to the quality of his food here. Shame on you, this usury should be taxed at 95 percent.

The event had a great atmosphere and the tent was beautifully designed. The atmosphere among the guests was great, which actually made the evening very pleasant. Unfortunately, the positive impression was marred by the behavior of the security. The staff were rude and behaved unprofessionally, which dampened some of the fun of the evening. It's a shame that an otherwise successful evening was negatively affected by poor service.
