We had reserved and were immediately taken to our place. The waitress was there in no time to take our drink order. These came very quickly, the selection of food is extensive and there is something for everyone. The dishes arrived just a few minutes after ordering the food, the pinsa came a little later, but it had to be freshly baked. Everything was really tasty and we were completely satisfied.

Danger! During our visit only cash payment was possible!!! Before the performance of the musical in Stuttgart, we wanted to eat something. Since we didn't want to search for much longer, we decided on this location right in the theater. Although we were the only guests in the afternoon, we unfortunately had to argue with the very young waitress to get a seat at the window. Very unfortunate!!! We then had to place the order ourselves at the front of the “bar”! No customer service!!! Unfortunately, the ladies preferred to occupy themselves with their smartphones!!! The food was warm, but not a highlight in terms of taste. You felt like you were in a cafeteria. Next time we visit we will go to a different location!

The veggie patty and fries were delicious. Unfortunately the rest isn't at all. The worst were the cheese spaetzle, which came just 2 minutes after ordering. Just a pile of mud. I don't know how they manage to keep everything so clean with so many guests. The food is really OK, but they can't do anything about the ambience outside. There are always 100 people around you looking for a place. The service is great and makes sure everyone is respectful!

Very friendly service. When I eat it, I can't think of much, except that the Caesar salad had nothing to do with Caesar's salad: mushy lettuce in an indefinable sauce and strange white cubes (parmesan???). The tarte flambée was okay. It's a shame, because the restaurant would actually be good for a pre-show lunch.

We came without a reservation and were given a table, but said it would be reserved in an hour. It's worth asking, or just make a reservation. There are peak times before the musicals, but afterward, for example, we easily managed to find a place for a cocktail. It's super child-friendly, the food is delicious and it's very quick. -"Service" consists of a person who stands behind the bar. There you have to order the food and drinks yourself and get drinks yourself -Airport ambience with white light -Ceasar salad was with ready-made chicken. It can't be fresh as quickly as it came. Parmesan was not freshly grated but in perfect squares -Salad drowned in sauce. I mixed the salad and poured the remaining sauce into a cup. This was full underground for 18.50

Unfortunately, my telephone reservation did not work. But the gentleman who assigns the seats has complete control of the place. After waiting half an hour we got a table, the service was super quick and friendly. The food was also very good! Were in the restaurant with canteen flair on November 28th, 2024. Once we ordered bruschetta, pinsa margeritha, mixed salad and pasta with chicken and spinach. I've never eaten so badly. Bruschetta was completely soggy, cold and the tomatoes were extremely over-salted. The pasta dish was warmed up and totally inedible. Pinsa was between satisfactory and sufficient. Bottom line: not recommended at all.

The whole thing has the ambience of a restaurant in the value range of an airport or fast food restaurant. There was a strong smell of burnt fat. The service was friendly and the food came extremely quickly - warmed up. Unfortunately not really warm. Had back piece with spaetzle and mushroom cream sauce. The portion is huge. But the sauce is a finished product. The meat was edible. The spaetzle was cooked too long (limp) and had no salt. The whole food was tasteless - just canteen finished goods. But the prices are at an upscale restaurant level. There aren't many alternatives in the area. Next time we go to the city again when we go to the cinema - which is currently once a year because the films are also of poor quality.

We had made a reservation because we wanted to go to the musical afterwards, but there was enough space available. We were greeted very grumpily at the entrance and sent upstairs because apparently people who have reserved are not allowed to sit downstairs/outside. Since we didn't know anything about several floors, we didn't know where to go and stood there haphazardly, but the employee at the counter didn't really want to help and made us stand around before we helped ourselves. The food was okay, but very expensive, and the employee at the table was very nice. Unfortunately, the atmosphere had something of a train station hall: we sat on the railing of the open hall, so it was loud and drafty.

On the recommendation of a friend who was completely satisfied in May, we made a reservation on Saturday. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that we could sit outside but had to go inside to place our order. The food would then be brought to us. We accepted this in astonishment. However, the waitress who brought us the food commented dryly that we should make room before he dropped the food. The bruchetta was toasted but cold. You couldn't call it crispy. Soaked in olive oil, it practically ran down our fingers. We ordered 2 Caesar salads for the main course. Everything had been drowned in dressing. The Cruttons are sticky as if they had been in the dressing for hours. All the vegetables was cut very large that we felt like we had to cut it again. The chicken was dry and tasted old. The cheese spaetzle was okay, but that was all. Then we had the chicken breast fillet with herb butter. However, we wanted a side salad instead of fries. This was not possible and had to be billed additionally. The last meal was a burger. That too was dry and cold. The fries were old, as if they had been prepared earlier. Conclusion: No deserved star and price performance absolutely not justified. Never again!

Even without a reservation we got a table for two. The staff is courteous and helpful. And above all, quickly. A very well-coordinated service and kitchen team ensure a successful culinary evening. The potato wedges from the deep fryer were ok, but there was far too little garlic sauce. It was actually to be expected. But since it was the best rated restaurant and we could sit outside, it was probably the best choice. Under normal circumstances we would not have visited it.

Hello, My wife and I go to Balthazar regularly. It's always a very pleasant atmosphere, the food is consistently delicious and of top quality and it's rare to find friendlier and more helpful service.

I have rarely experienced such rude and listless staff. The cocktails and food came very late and the burger left a lot to be desired. Service was virtually non-existent. I really can't explain all the positive reviews.

21 euros for a schnitzel that was frozen and briefly fried is really outrageous. We would normally have gone out, but had to eat something because of the musical, so we stayed

Unfortunately a bad choice! Antipasti platter was still tolerable, but the one from the package in the discount store can certainly do more. Olives not edible because drowned in brine. The tiny salad for €6.90 with dried out cucumber slices as thick as car rims was bland and with dressing from the package or something. You shouldn't be allowed to call what they spend there Pinsa, there are better ones at every gas station. Cheese spaetzle? Well, who is smart enough to order cheese spaetzle in a location like this... my tip, don't do it!

It was always our favorite restaurant to visit after going to the movies. Unfortunately, today was probably the last time. The first thing you noticed was a completely new “team”. The owner may also have changed, which would explain the deterioration in service and food. The waiters were very inattentive, even though the restaurant was hardly busy at that time. We had 3 different dishes, one of which was inedible. The bread used for the bruschetta was ancient!!! It was so hard you could hardly bite it off, given the taste. The tomato topping also tasted subpar. Hardly seasoned, but “killed” by thyme. When we complained, it was said that the bread was freshly baked and was only so hard because it had been in the oven for too long. This reaction to a food that was demonstrably old is completely inappropriate and highly unprofessional. As a chef, sending something like that out of the kitchen really leaves you speechless. The second dish was baked Maultaschen, which was far from good. All in all, you no longer have the feeling that good quality and service are valued here

The Balthazar, run by Theo and his brother, deserves more than the possible 5 stars. Super fast service, very nice staff and good food, plus various draft beers and delicious cocktails, what more could you want. We would be happy to come back and can only warmly recommend you. Thank you for a (repeatedly) nice introduction to a musical experience. It's great that gastronomy can still function in exactly the same way.

Be careful, prices have increased! The prices listed online are no longer current. I had Maultaschen and was quite disappointed. We were looking for somewhere where we could eat something before the musical, in this building complex where the musical theater is. From the car we wanted to make a reservation at Balthazar, but they said they were already full but we should stop by anyway. And after the food looked great, we joined the waiting line. Tickets were needed immediately, the service was very quick, always there, friendly, and the food also came very quickly. The prices are a bit high, but since the food is good and people wait in line, I think they are totally reasonable. I had a salad with chicken strips and my husband had a burger with fries. But every other food I saw looked great too. We'll come back the next time we see a musical, but then with a reservation.

My son and I ate here before the musical on March 16, 2024. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. My son ordered a tarte flambée that came relatively quickly and tasted good. I ordered the Crispy Chicken salad for 17 euros.. The salad was served in an oval bowl. Very difficult to eat from this bowl. The salad consisted of lettuce leaves about 4-5 palms in size, 2 slices of tomatoes, 3 cucumber slices, 2 tablespoons of carrot strips, yogurt sauce and the crispy chicken. Taste , Oh well.. But for 17 euros it's an absolute joke... rip off!! The waiter said that many guests had already complained to him about it...but unfortunately Apparently nothing has changed. It's a shame. I can't judge the other dishes because I haven't eaten them. As a guest and restaurateur, I would definitely advise against the crispy chicken. 2 stars because the waiter was really friendly and the tarte flambée tasted delicious.

We were there for the second time before seeing a musical. Waiting time without reservation depending on capacity. Yesterday it went quickly (around 10-15 minutes), last time around half an hour. Both times the reception and service - despite the full house - was incredibly prompt and super friendly! Orders are taken quickly and served just as quickly. The food is probably not for demanding "star cuisine palates" ;), but it is really very tasty and fresh, and the portions are also large enough. The tables and the restaurant are clean. In terms of price for Stuttgart and the location, the Balthazar is at an acceptable level. We'll definitely come back :)

Admittedly, we expected something different due to the “brand presence” on the Internet - but that was our mistake and didn't put a dent in our evening... Overall, highly recommended and I would eat there again at any time if we were there!

Unfortunately we had to return the chocolate soufflé with a liquid core. It arrived on the table after a minute because it was warmed up in the microwave and there was no trace of the liquid core. The owner and her son were super rude and didn't want to see it. I was insulted that I come from a village that is so normal here in Stuttgart and where I come from that it should be liquid. After an eternity of discussion I received the money €7.50 for the dessert in 10ct coins and 50ct was missing. Super rude and cheeky.

Das ist mit Abstand das schnellste Restaurant, welches ich je erlebt habe: Nach wenigen Minuten standen die Essen auf dem Tisch! Auch als Laufkunde ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen und die Portionen sind absolut ok - wir hatten Texasburger und Hähnchenschnitzel; jeweils mit Fries und Beilagensalat. Wenn wir das nächste Mal ins Musical gehen, essen wir hier bestimmt wieder!

Sehr leckeres Essen und eine gute Auswahl. Auch die Cocktails waren sehr gut. Preise waren vollkommen in Ordnung und nicht überteuert. Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und schnell. Leider war es etwas frisch beim sitzen und es hat gezogen....ansonsten war man gut gesessen.

Waren da mit meine Familien das Musical Tarzan anschauen und davor da essen ..waren alle sehr zufrieden. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service Bombe.Die nette Frau die uns bedient hat war schnell und hilfsbereit.mann sollte am besten der Tisch reservieren geht online sehr gut und schnell. Bein nächste Musical werden wir aufgeben Fall wieder kommen .Ich kann das nur empfehlen.
