I had an incredible Persian experience there, and the staff were very friendly—we even took photos with them!

After a long time I ate a really good Kubideh again, nice and juicy, just as it should be. The owner was very polite and friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come again. Thank you and see you soon.

Here is the best way to enjoy a very tasty meal in a local Persian restaurant in Stuttgart. I recommend all taste-seeking Stuttgart residents for whom food is important and service and ambience are not the first priority. As an Iranian, I am very satisfied and would often do it again. But unfortunately it's too expensive for this small place.

The Darband restaurant is a real insider tip for everyone who loves authentic Persian cuisine. It is a small, cozy restaurant with a table for around 6 people inside, a table for around 3 people and some seating outside. My tip: Be sure to call in advance, reserve a table and pre-order the food, as dishes like the lamb shank are freshly and elaborately prepared. Whatever food there is to choose from, you will communicated on the phone. The charm of this place lies in the warm atmosphere - you feel like you are in a Persian living room. The service is warm-hearted and courteous. An authentic Persian experience that is really worth it!

I am really to experience this place. The quality of food, specifically Kabab Koobede, was excellent 👌. I recommend it. Also, the staff behaved respectfully and openly.

I was looking on Google for a restaurant and came across Darband.. It was located on a small industrial estate. the food was surprising... Persian food, simple but tasty, good kebab with delicious rice. What was on the plate was also more than enough, so you go home with a full belly. Also very nice people who like to chat.

BEST PERSIAN IN ALL OF GERMANY I'm already planning my next stay in Stuttgart just to be able to eat here again. You have the feeling of being directly in Tehran. From the food to the hospitality. We received a warm welcome shortly before the end. The decor was typically Persian, very inviting and cozy. The owner himself offered us a free choice of seating, even though some of the places had already been cleared away. To drink he offered us an Iranian non-alcoholic beer, which I had never tried before. The lemon-mint variety was THE bomb. Absolute recommendation. But the best is yet to come. We got an appetizer (a small salad) on the house. The cook, a Persian mom, brought us the salad. Just like the owner, she was very friendly to us. You felt like you were at home. When our main courses came, I was fascinated. It smelled incredibly delicious and was beautifully prepared. I've had some kebabs at Persian before, but none like this!!! That was pure Iran. The taste was...unbelievable in words, you have to try it for yourself. To top it all off, they brought us Tahdig. If that's not reason enough to come here...then I don't know what is. All I can say is, see you next time!

Guys, if you want to try authentic Persian food, this is the place to go. As an Iranian, I know that it's really hard to find authentic Persian restaurant anywhere in Germany. But this place is the closest one to what you could experience in Tehran. Just reserve in advance, go there and enjoy some of the best Persian food you could find around.

Service was great, food was served and tasted very good. Small but cozy in summer. You should bring some time with you.

It was the first time I went to a restaurant like this, one with Persian cuisine and something like that, and I was really impressed. It's different from what you're used to, but it looks really nice. The people there are really warm people. I've never been so nice. I've even received a bottle I got water because I was very thirsty but didn't have enough. That was very nice. I also had a really nice chat there. The food was really delicious. I ordered Kubideh. Actually, I like minced meat and stuff like that and I'm so easy to get excited about because the meat is often very rubbery or cartilage and other things or too dry but the meat was really good no cartilage not dry and not rubbery/chewy a great atmosphere and very kind hearted people will come by again and again it was very tasty

Would give them a zero star if I could. The owner was disrespectful and condescending. Told us that he can only give us one item from menu since we didn’t make prior reservations. He said “we have 1000 of items in the menu but can only give you this one kabab since you didn’t make prior reservations”. There were flies all over the kababs and the space was dirty as well. He seemed disorganized and flustered. We decided to leave and didn’t try the food. I would recommend finding another persian restaurant (there are plenty of choices within the area).

Title: Disappointing experience and questionable 5 star reviews Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ We ordered Baghali Polo with Mahicheh and Kabab Kubideh and were very disappointed. The food was not fresh and looked like it had been reheated in the microwave. Particularly disappointing was the Baghali Polo, which only had beans and spices on the top layer - underneath it was just regular white rice. For dessert we ordered black tea and had to wait about 30 minutes for it. When the tea finally came, it was cold - and for two euros each! When we then wanted to get the bill and pay by card, we were refused. The employee explained to us that only cash was accepted on weekends, which was very annoying as we were not informed of this. As for the ambience, quality of the food and the overall dining experience, I cannot understand the many 5 star reviews this restaurant has and doubt whether they are authentic. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.

Delicious food. They only speak English or Farsi I was only given one meal to choose from. That was a bit of a shame. The food was quite good.

August 1, 2024 I had a wonderful evening at Darband Restaurant. The Persian foods were delicious and authentic, especially the specific dish of food. The service was friendly and attentive, the staff very well informed. The ambience was stylish and inviting, which made the evening perfect. Overall an excellent experience – highly recommended!

Just fantastic! The name "Darband" refers to a beautiful place in Iran, known for its waterfalls and authentic food culture. You immediately feel welcome in the restaurant and enjoy a unique atmosphere. Reservations are strongly recommended due to the limited number of seats.

We were two friends and right from the start Alì did everything he could to make us feel at ease. We chatted a lot and were really pleased to have met him. Incredibleeeee!! We arrived almost by chance and the service was very good, the food was high quality, they even let us play our music and we took the opportunity to practice dancing for a wedding. We ate the dish between two, although several ate individually. The person who served us will soon close the store so I recommend that if you can come, you do so.

But the real highlight of this restaurant is Ali and his dedicated team behind the scenes. We have never been welcomed so warmly and courteously. Ali is a master at offering his guests an unforgettable atmosphere that makes you feel like you are at home with a good friend. The food was simply sensational, a real taste explosion! A harmonious blend of exotic flavors where every little detail was perfectly coordinated. A valuable tip: It's best to call a day in advance so that the team can perfectly prepare special dishes that take more time. A simple dinner turned into a magical five-hour stay, crowned with a magical chai, which gets a unique aroma from a dry rose and is sweetened with saffron rock candy. We loved it so much that we immediately made another reservation for our departure day to enjoy this incredible experience again. This restaurant is a true gem and a must for every Persian cuisine lover!

I don't even know where to start. While looking for a suitable restaurant, we came across this very well-rated Persian restaurant. When we looked for the location, we were initially shocked and asked ourselves what this place was supposed to be. But we got involved and as soon as we met Ali we felt the positive vibes that he and the ambience radiate. The food is prepared very freshly, some dishes have to be ordered in advance. This shows how much love and effort goes into the details. What can I say, we were speechless. These different, new flavors were unique! We ordered another meal for a few days later because we loved it so much! Not only that! We were treated as if Ali had invited us into his home. One Friday evening, instead of going to a bar, we stayed here all evening and really enjoyed it! Thank you for the unique memory, we will never forget it! Only the best to Ali! I hope he will be very successful in his journey and be able to present his unique cuisine to many people!

A very authentic and beautiful to the eyes Persian restaurant I have ever been to. The decorations were very beautiful. The food was super good. We had the most tender lamd and the most delicious kebab, with fluffiest rice. The tea after the food really hit the spot. I discovered the restaurant by chance while searching on Google Maps. I visited the restaurant without an appointment thinking it was a normal restaurant, but I was surprised when I arrived. The place is very charming and does not resemble other restaurants, but rather has a warm family atmosphere. Usually, you are required to book in advance, but Ali, the owner of the restaurant, was not willing to let me go out without food. He prepared me a delicious Iranian dish of saffron rice, lamb kebab, and salad at the restaurant’s expense. The taste was very delicious and I very much enjoyed talking with the owner of the restaurant and his brother. I will definitely visit the place again, but I will call and book in advance of course

Wow... what can I say. Going to the trade fair in Stuttgart and looking for restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Came across the Darband Restaurant by chance and luckily walked there. Not only was there fantastic, delicious food, there was a small, sweet, authentic atmosphere and two hosts who were so friendly, warm and nice that you could only wish to have them. A friendly gentleman who served and a nice lady who cooked. Don't expect an "ordinary restaurant". Here you will find a really very small room with a "chill area", a table, a counter and a cooking area. The furnishings are totally typical of the country and very comfortable. So it's best to reserve in advance, I'm not sure whether you'll be as lucky as I am and there'll be a spot available. I received a very friendly welcome and the service was excellent throughout the entire visit. For me it felt like I was a guest in a private family and they were cooking for me. The prices are totally pleasant, 28 euros for starter, main course and 2 large beers... For me, this restaurant is a real insider tip and I will recommend it to friends and acquaintances who are visiting Stuttgart and will definitely come back again myself. Excellent Persian food! The place was super tiny and a little hard to find but I'm glad we did because the food was so fresh and delicious. We shared 3 kebab mains, (lamb, chicken and minced beef), among two adults and two children, knowing we would have to take food home but we wanted to try everything. All of us enjoyed every bite and our 3 year old insisted on packing up all of the food we couldn't manage to finish. Ali was also super friendly and very passionate about their food and talking us through all of the options. He was very attentive but never rushed us! We would definitely come back!

Really unexpected bombs of flavour. We ordered 3 sandwiches with different fillings - Iranian sausage, brain, and tongue. They all had quite distant taste profiles from each other so munching them was never boring. It didn't feel too heavy despite generally heavy ingredients (brain is rather fatty organ and tongue is also not so light) due to fresh cabbages and tomatoes. It also added crunchy texture with the bread. Despite some distance from the restaurant to the delivered address, all sandwiches stayed warm and we didn't need to put them in oven again. We will definitely try all menu. Not all dishes are available all the time so it is generally recommended to call them first.

Trotz fehlender Reservierung wurden wir unglaublich charmant und nett bedient, wie als ob wir zur Familie gehören. Vorbehalte aufgrund der Location kann sich schenken: süß eingerichtet, für mich authentisch. das Essen war extrem lecker und hervorragend zubereitet. Die Lammhaxe war so zart, dass das Fleisch vom Knochen abgefallen ist. Wir kommen wieder

Unscheinbarer Laden. Oder soll ich sagen Container? Aber Wahnsinns Essen. Alles sehr frisch, zart und geschmackvoll. Wir hatten den Kebap Spieß und eine geschmorte Lammhaxe, die so zart war, dass sie fast zerschmolzen ist. Super! Und absolut empfehlenswert.

Klein aber sehr fein. Große, unglaublich leckere Portionen, das nächste Mal bring ich einen Bärenhunger mit😉! Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung, total schöne, persische Einrichtung. Ich hab mich kurz in eine andere Welt versetzt gefühlt.

Das Darbad Restaurant ist wirklich einzigartig! Ali ist überaus freundlich und die Atmosphäre dort ist einfach zauberhaft. Das Dizi-Gericht, das ich probiert habe, war köstlich und ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen! Wir haben auch ein Bandari-Sandwich mitgenommen und es zu Hause zum Abendessen genossen – es war absolut lecker! Eine kulinarische Erfahrung, die ich nicht vergessen werde.

Bei der Nachtschicht merke ich das ich Hunger habe so gegen 23 wo die schließen normalerweise. Ich habe das essen ohne Probleme bestellen können und wurde schnell geliefert obwohl sie geschlossen hatten. Das Essen hat wunderbar geschmeckt und Darband ist die erste Wahl jetzt beim bestellen oder Vorort essen. Danke nochmal. Das Personal voll nett und freundlich.
