Restaurant Tandura in Dortmund

The manti was awful and carelessly prepared... The ćiğer dürüm was okay, but overall the place is just dead... The restrooms were very dirty, and the walls in the dining area desperately need renovating... It gives me a real North End vibe. The waiter, however, was very nice and honest.

It's a very nice place, we liked it very much... You should especially try the meat doner kebab and the künefe (dessert)!

I ordered Adana kebab, but instead of lavash bread I received pide, and instead of potatoes I received rice. I repeated my order. I was told: "Be thankful you got this." I came to the restaurant to eat, not to beg!

We were in Dortmund, but my friend and I decided to eat döner kebab in Urfa. For a moment, I felt like I was in Turkey; I ate salad in bread.

We ordered some dishes online from Lieferando, which stated a delivery time of 30 minutes. We never would have thought it would actually arrive on time, in 30 minutes plus the driver's travel time. But they absolutely impressed us with the fast service and the quality of the food. Everything was super delicious, fresh, and hardly greasy. The delivery person was incredibly nice. We highly recommend it and will order again or even stop by in person sometime. 😊

We've eaten there often and ordered catering for a birthday. Everything was incredibly delicious. Well-seasoned, lots of choice, and large portions. We'd gladly go back. This is the best kebab shop in Dortmund.

There is a note on the door that states that you get free food if you leave a 5-star review, so I’d take those reviews with a grain of salt. The food was OK, but I paid 20% more than what the menu stated. Probably because I’m a tourist.

The food was fantastic, just amazing never had such a delicious taste in Germany. At mosphere was wonderful and everyone other than one rude waiter, and hence 1 less star. First we entered and he asked: what do you want blocking our way, the normal system of the restaurant was to sit down and wait for someone to take the order. And then I dropped my fork accidentally and asked the same waiter for another one, he told me your fork is already on the ground 🤯 meaning just pick it up and use it 🙃

We were very pleased from A to Z The waiters are very attentive The environment and atmosphere are very comfortable and clean We ate grilled food for 2 people, the portion was filling and we even exploded, we couldn't finish it, the chefs at the grill are obviously experts, we had to take a package of the dessert that was served because it was so fresh 👍 After the meal, tea was served without asking As a addict, I know about fresh tea 👍 People need restaurants like this The price is as it should be according to the quality Thank you

Simply horrible! I've never eaten such disgusting Dürum bread, if you can even call it Dürum. The bread wasn't even Dürum bread; it was cold, not rolled properly, and tasted simply disgusting. The chef prepared it, and when I confronted him about it, he became aggressive. Disaster!!!!

I ordered a lentil soup and two Adana durums. The lentil soup was very tasty and the portion was generous – a good start. The bread, however, was a bit disappointing: In a Turkish restaurant, I would have expected classic thin flatbread (like you'd find at home). Instead, they served a rather ordinary, thick flatbread, which doesn't quite match the overall authenticity. The meat in the Adana durum was well-seasoned and tasty, but the portion was quite small overall. For 9 euros per durum, I would have expected a slightly larger portion – especially considering that the bread wasn't homemade, but rather resembled a factory-made tortilla flatbread. What particularly bothered me was that the meat was served mixed directly with salad and pomegranate syrup. This greatly overpowered the original flavor of the meat. I would have preferred it if such ingredients were offered as an option, so you could decide for yourself whether you wanted them. Overall, the food was solid, but with clear room for improvement—especially when it comes to authenticity and portion size.

Absolutely not again! My husband and I were there together and ordered an Adana plate with chicken wings. A complete disappointment!!! The meat was okay, but there was very little of it; it was a skewer on the plate. Not to mention the rice, which was stuck together, a single block, and very dry. My plate was a complete disaster! The chicken was half-raw and not cleanly cut. I had feathers on my food, and it wasn't cut cleanly. On top of that, the meat was bloody. Totally unacceptable. The only edible thing was the fries, which at least weren't tough. At least the waiter who served us was nice. €45 for two people is too much, especially since the food wasn't good.

Worst store ever! The employees were rude and even reacted threateningly when I complained. The food was just disgusting and inedible. I can really only advise anyone not to go there!

I was looking forward to a visit to Mekan in Dortmund, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The meat was completely inedible - tough, dry and tasteless. It seemed like it had been on the grill for far too long or was of poor quality. I expected a lot more for the prices - the price-performance ratio is not right at all. I definitely won't be coming back and unfortunately I can't recommend Mekan.

Absolutely not recommended! We were there as a family: wrong, cold food, hair in the food, incorrect billing and only received a receipt after discussion. I also had to pay more than agreed. When I complained, I was insulted and threatened. Never again!

Best kebab I've ever eaten in my life! Snacky, tasty and, above all, juicy with sauce and vegetables to go with the meat! Otherwise all kebabs will end up with just meat without sauce and it won't taste good anymore

Had dinner here yesterday, lentil soup was very thick (too much flour, not enough lentils) and tasted average. Köfte plate cost 18.50 and a bit meager in quantity, not enough rice köfte in pictures larger than on the plate, taste was ok. SALAD again was nice and big and fresh tasted good. Flatbread was warmed and also tasted good with the meze plate which contained various sauces. I also liked tea. Overall an average restaurant. Mind you, I was the only customer in the entire store at 6 p.m. Friendly staff.

The food here is truly exceptional, tasting just like authentic Urfa cuisine. The only downside was the presence of numerous flies buzzing around the food. While the food itself is undeniably delicious, the presence of flies is simply unacceptable. Despite this, I would definitely return for another taste of their amazing dishes!

I went to lunch with my husband today I absolutely loved my visit to this Turkish restaurant! As soon as I entered the restaurant, I felt like I was transported to Istanbul thanks to the cozy and authentic atmosphere. The furnishings are stylish and invite you to feel good. The service was excellent: The staff was very friendly, attentive and was always available to give us advice. I was particularly impressed by the passion with which the dishes were described - you could immediately tell that they cook with love here. The food was simply fantastic! Our main course, the traditional Adana kebab and chicken skewer was grilled to perfection, juicy and with just the right amount of spiciness. The side dishes such as the fluffy flatbread and the crisp salad were also a poem. I can highly recommend this restaurant. If you want to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine at a high level, this is the right place for you. I'll definitely be back!

We came from Bielefeld and are simply speechless. From the service to the food, everything is simply top. Price performance fits the dishes perfectly. Everything tastes homemade, which is true. From the ayran to the bread and the juicy meat, everything is top. For the weekend we have definitely found a place where we can have a nice meal, which is not the case in Bielefeld.
