Restaurant Syrtaki in Koblenz

An excellent Greek restaurant that is unrivaled in the surrounding area. The food is really delicious and the selection is quite large. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and we immediately felt at home. The staff was very accommodating and, as befits a good Greek restaurant, there was an ouzo at the end. The only thing that isn't great is the outdoor seating, as it's right on a busy street. However, this is due to the location in the city and is therefore not a point of criticism. I can absolutely recommend Syrtaki, a visit is always worth it.

Very friendly service Super delicious food

We have been looking for a delicious Greek restaurant in Koblenz for a long time and Syrtaki has been recommended to us several times. So the other day after work we just went there and ordered food to take away. We went in to pick up the food and I have to say, the atmosphere is really cozy!! In addition, every single employee we passed smiled and greeted us in a friendly manner! (Something like that is so important! We felt totally welcome and treated kindly) We had to swallow for a moment when paying for the food, we did get a discount because we picked it up (also not typical and important to praise) but €70 for 2 people (yes, I'm gluttonous and had 2 starters) is pretty steep! When I got home I took a photo of the starter, but the food smelled too good to allow me to take another photo of the main course...! And I have to say: IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! There were a lot of pepperoni and in a delicious lemon garlic marinade, the Taramas was mild but tasty and the Metaxa sauce and all the meat were grilled to perfection, juicy and incredibly tasty! Conclusion: gladly again but only on special occasions 😅 - next time we'll try eating there too ♥️

We were there spontaneously on October 2nd, 2024. At first we thought, wow, prices for a Greek restaurant were already on the higher side, but the food was really worth every cent... great meat quality and skillfully prepared... simply super tasty, the service was really nice and courteous, there is nothing to complain about. Even our dog was given treats and was asked directly if we should bring water. If we lived here, we would definitely be there more often. Highly recommended... therefore 5 stars plus plus 👌🫶 oh and our old dog was very happy about the treat from the restaurant 🐶♥️

Syrtaki is authentic Greek cuisine. The staff is without exception friendly and attentive on every visit. The prices are a bit higher, but correspond to the quality of the food. Always my pleasure!

My wife had an appetizer platter as her main course. For 26 € there were 4 slices of fried zuchini, 4 slices of fried aubergine, a roll of stuffed grape leaves, a tzatziki dip, and white bread. I had gratinated gyros with fries for just under €30. The fries had no salt, the gyro meat was hard, the sauce was totally fatty. The service is very good, but that can no longer hide the fact that the price/performance ratio is no longer right here.

Very good Greek restaurant. Have been here several times. It's a pity that prices have risen since the renovation. Personally, I think €11 for a glass of wine is a lot.

Today we had dinner at the Syrtaki restaurant. The food was okay, but the behavior of the waitress was unacceptable to me. I ordered a red wine that had a temperature of a draft beer. I spoke to the waitress and explained to her that red wine was served at room temperature. They were of very little interest and the food they ordered didn't arrive as requested. I overlooked that, but a 0.2 liter red wine for €11.00, served ice cold, that's not possible! The staff should perhaps be better trained in some areas if drinks and food are offered in this price range. Under these circumstances I will refrain from visiting again.

Very polite service and delicious dishes

As expected, this was the friendly Greek restaurant. Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere. But not like many other Greek restaurants that are known for having a lot and being cheap. Definitely come back!

Without meaning to, I ate Greek food three times in two weeks. Syrtaki won first place for the most expensive prizes. Lamb plate EURO 49. That's really steep. Food was good, service ok.

We ate there with a few colleagues during our lunch break. What I thought was good was that a midday break was offered, but the prices for lunch menus or for a lunch section were above average. I had gyros with beef, liver and fries. The meat was very tasty, but the plate was manageable. The portions were really very small and for €17 it's really a joke. Unfortunately, 20 had to be ordered separately. And every Greek knows that tzatziki is part of the gyros. The staff was very friendly. Ambiance is of course a matter of taste. Due to the very high prices and the manageable portions, I will no longer visit the restaurant. You should think about the concept.

The food is definitely good in taste. The Djuvec rice was a bit hard, but other than that I can't complain. However, €23 for 1 Bifteki is very, very pricey. I find the price for a farmer's salad (~15€) to be even more sporty, especially since I can definitely make it better at home using discounter ingredients. The gyros meet high quality snack standards, except that at Syrtaki you pay twice as much. Now one could argue that exceptional and attentive service might justify the prices. My friend, who is severely allergic to gluten, asked for the allergy card and emphasized his allergy several times when ordering, was given a basket of white bread with his salad. No punch line. Conclusion: unfortunately no immediate need to repeat! :/

09/20/24 We were on a bike tour today and stopped here. Great service, very friendly. We were able to charge our batteries. The staff is first class. The food was delicious and the prices were totally right. It's a shame that you're so far away from Hanover. Thank you for the great experience.

Very good restaurant with very high quality food! The prices, which are slightly above average in comparison, are more than justified! Sufficiently large portions, very, very nice and courteous staff. Will be fondly remembered and will definitely be visited again on our next visit to Koblenz.

We celebrated my mother's birthday at this restaurant and it was just perfect! The food was delicious and the service was incredibly friendly. Both the adults and the little ones were well taken care of. What is particularly noteworthy is that the restaurant is barrier-free and wheelchair-friendly - which was a big plus for us. As a special highlight, there was even a little surprise from the house, which made the evening even more unforgettable. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Update: Unfortunately there is no longer a vegan menu! But it was a shame and it was explained that the offer was hardly accepted and therefore too much food had to be thrown away. The goodwill was there and at least there was something for us in the pasta area, so no points were deducted ❗ Finally another way to eat very well vegan! Very good price-performance ratio! Very friendly! Very good quality! Pleasant atmosphere! The taste is also very good. What's particularly pleasing is that you can discuss the menu competently with the employees and get various dishes in vegan versions. Even better, we think about it! I overlooked the honey in one dish. When it was brought to the table I was told that the honey had been replaced with agave syrup. EXEMPLARY The large outdoor area is on a main street, but far enough back to not be too annoying and offers a surprisingly pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Wir waren zu zweit zu einem geschäftlichen Termin im Restaurant und die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die Qualität des Essens wahren SEHR GUT. Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Vorspeisen, unterschiedliche Hauptgerichte und das gleiche Desert. Alle Speisen waren super. Es war stimmig und selbst der Espresso war besser als bei vielen italienischen Restaurants. Wenn ich noch mal nach Koblenz komme, esse ich ganz sicherlich dort. Der Preis ist nicht günstig, aber für guten Service und sehr gutes Essen zahle ich gerne mehr. Es sind auch Details die zählen, so kommt das Essen für beide Gäste von mehreren Personen zeitgleich und heiß an den Tisch uvm...

We had planned a day trip to Canyon and found out in advance about places to visit and eat nearby. We chose this restaurant based on some recommendations online and it wasn't a mistake. The staff were very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. They were also very child-friendly and the children really enjoyed it. The ambience was very pleasant and nice, even on very hot days you can stay there in the air-conditioned restaurant. We were there for lunch and the prices were perfectly reasonable. More than justified for this quality.

All around excellence. We went twice. My wife loved the Scampi. I loved the Gyro with Calimari. It is not on the beaten path but a 5 minute walk away from the river is well worth the walk.

Die Atmosphäre ist authentisch und einladend, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend – geschmackvoll, gut gewürzt und perfekt portioniert. Jedes Gericht schmeckte, als hätte man eine kulinarische Reise nach Griechenland unternommen. Die Aromen waren so intensiv und authentisch, dass man fast vergessen könnte, noch in Deutschland zu sein. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das ausgezeichnete Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die hochwertigen Preise spiegeln die herausragende Qualität des Essens wider. Es ist klar, dass hier nur die besten Zutaten verwendet werden, und das schmeckt man auch. Insgesamt war unser Besuch im Syrtaki ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können dieses Restaurant jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der nicht nur gutes Essen, sondern auch ein Stück Griechenland erleben möchte. I had a salad plate with gyros. Delicious. The dressing was well seasoned and the gyro was not dry. The service was very friendly and unobtrusively reserved. Still always present. The location is right on a busy road, so it's not a rural idyll. But we sat comfortably outside.

Restaurant is open until 15:00 o clock,we arrived at 14:02 o’clock and were told that the kitchen is closed

So I thought the food was very tasty. Very large portions and therefore the food was good value for money for me. What I find really outrageous are the drinks prices. You pay 4 euros for a small amount of water, the same as for a beer?! Actually, people always say that non-alcoholic drinks should be cheaper. Or 4 euros for a 0.2l cola!? A 0.7l bottle of water 9 euros?! Sorry, I don't see any connection at all. This is usury. Service is very nice otherwise and super attentive, I don't know if I would necessarily have to go there again, but that's mainly because of the drink prices. When it comes to food, I'm always willing to pay more for quality. The ambience is very modern, not necessarily Greek, but otherwise really nice.

So far so good, a bit expensive for my standards but ok!

Angefangen bei der Zusammenstellung der Vorspeisen, die passende Weinempfehlung zu den frisch zubereiteten Hauptgerichten - und dem perfekten griechischen Mokka zum Abschluss. Mit einem freundlichen Jámas! beschlossen wir unseren Nachmittag. Gerne kommen wir wieder und genießen die Gastfreundschaft.

Hele mooie grote zaak, kindvriendelijk. Veel keuze en heel lekker gegeten. Prijs/kwaliteit top. Ligt op wandelafstand van het treinstation.

Great restaurant with quality food and drinks. No matter what we ate, it was fantastic and of high quality across the board. The Hugo was also very tasty and not a booze. The conditions were very friendly and everything went smoothly. Yes, the prices are quite high, but justified. We always enjoy coming back.

I've been going to this restaurant about 1st - 2nd time a year for several years. The price increase since 2024 has been enormous, and the side dishes have been omitted from many dishes. Side salad (small farmer's salad e.g. 8€) now in addition to the fact that the dish itself has already been increased by a few euros. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio no longer corresponds and for these reasons it was our last visit.

Das Essen war nicht schlecht aber auch nicht hervorragend. Wenn man die Preise sieht, erwartet man ein Gourmet Restaurant. Für ganz gewöhnliche Platte zahlt man um die 30 Euro , Lamm 43 aber mit dem Rinderfilet haben die sich übertroffen 59 Euro!!!. Für einen Griechen sind die Preise nicht normal. Ich würde es keinem empfehlen dahingehen .

To this day, Syrtaki was one of my favorite restaurants in Koblenz, but tonight we had a big dog at the next table. I find that very unappetizing and dogs don't belong in a restaurant! That was my last visit!

I am absolutely thrilled. Yesterday I ate at Syrtaki for the first time and it tasted incredibly delicious. It's a little more expensive, but quality comes at a price. The meat was of the very best quality. The starter, dumplings filled with feta, were really a dream, I could have eaten my fill of that alone. For the main course I had the Faihs platter. Gyros, calamari, tzatziki and tomato rice. So, so delicious!! If I could, I would have eaten another portion of the calamari, because I've actually never had such delicious calamari. The service was also extremely nice and accommodating. Absolutely friendly, everyone. The portion was really big, unfortunately I didn't finish everything. We will be back definitely!

We have eaten here many times, but not in the last 12 months. We were all the more looking forward to dinner here again. Unfortunately, we discovered that the prices had been increased so massively and that the side salad now had to be ordered for a fee. This horrendous price increase is not justified and the total bill here is sometimes 2 to 3 times higher than in other Greek restaurants in Germany. It's a shame because we won't be eating here again in the future for price reasons. There are many other good restaurants in the area with much more moderate prices.

Short vacation in Koblenz. Giros for 23 euros?! Where are we please?! Is Koblenz the Marbella on the Rhine?! Are you crazy?! And then average quality. Once and never again!

The ambience is very nice and despite the fact that it is located directly on a busy street, it is relatively quiet outside and you feel comfortable. You are greeted straight away and all the staff are very accommodating and always ask whether everything is ok. The menu is not completely overloaded, but there should be something for everyone. The food is always very tasty and there are no long waiting times. The prices are a little higher but quite reasonable for the quality and outstanding service and an ouzo or espresso is served on the house with the food beforehand and after the meal. All in all, you really feel like you're on holiday in Greece and I can recommend a visit to everyone.

I ate at Syrtaki a few days ago and although there were some positive aspects, the overall experience was disappointing. Positive points: - Good grilling of the meat: The meat was well grilled, with a nice crust and good taste. - Good Atmosphere: The restaurant had a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. - Clean toilets: The toilets were well maintained and clean, which is always a plus. Negative points: - No parking: One of the biggest drawbacks was the lack of parking. Finding a place nearby was a hassle and caused unnecessary stress in the evening. - Extremely expensive: The prices were outrageously high. I paid €28 for the food in the photo, which was way too expensive for what was on offer. - Poor quality of the fries: For such a high price, the fries were a disappointment. They were frozen, pre-fried, straight out of the bag. At this price I would have expected fresh, "real" potatoes. Overall, despite a nice atmosphere and well-grilled meats, the positive aspects were overshadowed by the high cost and poor quality of some foods, as well as the lack of parking. Given the value for money, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Wir waren zu zweit nach ca. 7 Monaten wieder im Syrtaki zum Essen, bisher waren wir bei jedem Besuch zufrieden und das Essen war immer gut. Jedoch ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut nicht mehr stimmig. Die Preise wurden so stark erhöht und der Beilagen-Salat ist auch nicht mehr inclusive und muss noch extra kostenpflichtig dazu bestellt werden. Da bleibt einem glatt der Preis im Halse stecken. Jetzt waren wir genau eine Woche später in Sachsen-Anhalt zu viert bei einem Griechen essen. Die bestellten Speisen und Getränke waren die Gleichen, die Portionen und Qualität des Essens gleichwertig. Bezahlt haben wir dort für 4 Personen 30 Euro weniger als für 2 Personen im Syrtaki in Koblenz und der Beilagen-Salat war dort auch noch inclusive. Jetzt finde Jemand den Fehler?

The food is very tasty and the portions are more than sufficient. The service is friendly and will accommodate you if you have any complaints. However, the prices are now almost no longer justified - €9.50 for a bottle of water, €10 for a bowl of tzatziki as a starter. Therefore only 4 instead of 5 stars.

Very tasty food. Since I was impressed by the quality but not the high prices on my last visit, I can now correct this rating. The prices were very reasonable, the portions were very large and the quality was excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating as always.

You can sit outside very nicely. We both had a plate of gyros and ground steak and fries. Unfortunately, tzatziki wasn't included and had to be ordered separately for €3.50. THE meat tasted good, but the minced steak was unfortunately very minimalistic.

The prices are a little higher, but a very good, consistent quality is guaranteed and a main course without a starter or dessert is usually enough to fill you up, as the portion sizes are very generous. There is also a free ouzo before and after your meal.

The restaurant opens at 5 p.m. We arrived about 5:25 p.m. The store was already full! We still got a cookie. The service was extremely good and friendly. Ouzo to start with. The menu is extensive and typically Greek. Prices are rather higher. Is it really worth it. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. Rarely eaten so well. Ouzo or espresso on the house for the bill! It's a shame it's so far from home, otherwise we would definitely be there more often. We can only recommend it!!!

This restaurant is a must when you are in Koblenz. The food was awesome. The whole ambience, the service, everything was perfect. I'm not surprised that reservations have to be made on the weekend.

Good restaurant with potential! We have been to Syrtaki several times for dinner. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer quite right. As expected, prices have increased significantly due to the increase in the tax rate. The offer has been visibly reduced. Unfortunately there is no longer any free side salad. A pity! However, the quality and service are still very good and recommended.

Wir waren schon mehrfach im Syrtaki in Koblenz essen. Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr ganz. Schade! Die Qualität ist weiterhin 1A, aber es gibt leider keinen kostenlosen Beilagensalat mehr. Die Preise sind aufgrund der Erhöhung des Steuersatzes erwartungsgemäß kräftig angezogen worden und die Auswahl wurde auch noch reduziert. Leider sind andere von uns besuchte griechische Restaurants in Deutschland (primär Ostdeutschland) zum Teil besser aufgestellt.

The service was excellent, attentive, friendly. The food was of great quality and tasted great. I think with the farmer's salad you should definitely put more than one olive on the plate, it mostly only consisted of tomatoes and cucumbers, at €7.00 you can be a little more generous when it comes to the other ingredients. Otherwise, this restaurant is always worth a visit. We had a lovely evening and will definitely come back.
