After pre-heating at Alex around the corner, we looked forward to a delicious dinner at Poseidon, which I had reserved. When we arrived it was packed and only our reserved table was available. We ordered and then had to a. Waited 40 minutes for the starters, which was ok. is so busy. My starter (sheep's cheese in puff pastry was good) but my friend, himself Greek, was disappointed that there were no grilled pepperoni. My main course (gyros and meat skewer) was ok but not the burner. Tzatziki was standard. My owner had the shrimp and they weren't that fresh for her taste, but they were ok. However, my Greek friend thought his minced meat was pretty subpar.... It was ok for me. Unfortunately very bad for my buddies. You can do it, but you don't have to.

The six of us spent a really nice evening there. Staff really nice. No long waits for drinks. Great price-performance ratio with very tasty food.

To date we have been loyal regulars to your restaurant, but unfortunately after our last visits we have decided not to eat at your restaurant again in the future. We have noticed that a lot has changed in various areas, unfortunately not for the better: 1. Service: The staff has changed about 90%, which in itself would not be problematic. However, on our last visit we had to wait a full 45 minutes for our drink order to be taken. That seems very inattentive. 2. Service: The staff walked past us several times without even taking a look at us as guests. Unfortunately, this doesn't leave a good impression. 3. Food: Portion sizes have become noticeably smaller, estimated by 20%, while prices have increased by around 40%. Onions and olives used to be standard, and salad had to be ordered separately, but these are now completely missing. This no longer corresponds to the quality we were used to. The ambience also seems outdated now. The benches have clear signs of wear, which affects the overall impression. We used to really enjoy the atmosphere and the food, but after the last three visits our entire family has decided not to eat at your place for the time being. However, I would like to visit again in a year and very much hope that the situation will have improved by then.

I would have liked to have eaten there for my birthday, watched on Monday, company vacation up to and including September 16th, 2024, lucky, my birthday isn't until September 18th! I was really looking forward to it, then disappointed, the notice in the door was changed with a pen, closed until September 20th! No go, too bad...

Authentic Greek restaurant with very good meat, perfect doneness and fantastic tzatziki! It was my first time here and I'm relatively critical when it comes to grilled meat, but I definitely wasn't disappointed. Gladly again!

We have been guests again and again over the last 6-7 years and have enjoyed it so far. In terms of taste, the food is still okay, but the price-performance ratio has decreased significantly. Above all, the amount of side dishes is a joke. Ordered a handful of fries extra for €4.50, the portion was twice as big six months ago. The drink prices were also quite high considering the ambience. The gyro was too dry and very hard. The cleanliness of the toilets was not particularly good, toilet paper was missing right at opening time and an unpleasant smell spread from the toilets to the restaurant. We were happy to get a seat outside. We understand the rising costs for restaurateurs, but we won't be coming back here any time soon.

We had specifically asked in advance when we should come, because of the table allocation, because a reservation was not possible. When we arrived shortly before 9 p.m., as suggested, we were given the menu with the words we can look, but there were only two left Dishes to choose from. After our food arrived, everyone was missing the side salad we had previously ordered. This didn't come either. The tzatziki we ordered was small but the price was high. Unfortunately, some of the meat was also bloody. It's a shame that the visit was so disappointing, they should have canceled us. So we decided that luckily there are other restaurants

Real men of honor and then pulled out some thick gyros after a long day. Is gyros actually Greek or Turkish? Well, in any case, it was easy for me to eat the entire portion completely, it was that delicious.

Poseidon is a classic Greek restaurant with a nice atmosphere. On the day we were guests, everything outside was already occupied. There was a lot going on inside, but the waitress assigned us a table. Although there was a lot going on, the gentleman who served us later was with us immediately. Drinks came quickly, only we waited some time for our food. They came to us on their own and said that there was a lot going on at the moment. Shortly afterwards our food arrived. I chose the Mediterranean pan because I don't eat meat (I was aware that there is little choice when it comes to Greek dishes). That was a pan with lightly fried vegetables and feta. You couldn't get enough of the portion. It was on the menu under "house specialties" and cost 14.90 euros... I understand that eating in a restaurant is different than ordering from a snack bar (more effort for the operator), probably would have been But I got more for the price-performance ratio at the kebab shop across the street. Maybe we should reconsider such a dish. It tasted good, but there was clearly not enough.

It's been a long time since we ate at Poseidon. We have known the restaurant for over 30 years. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was exactly as I expected. Gyros and fries crispy, Suzuki with feta also very tasty. There is no fine dining at Poseidon, but there is very tasty food. We'd love to come back.

I have already visited many Greek restaurants in Neuwied, Bendorf, Cochem, Koblenz, on the Rhine and on the Moselle. But this restaurant in Koblenz is the best! The food is very tasty and there is a large selection of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. It is located in the middle of the old town, on Görresplatz, not far from the Deutsche Ecke and the cable car station. The restaurant is really clean and the staff is very friendly. There's really nothing to complain about. By the way, I'm at home here!

Really nice atmosphere. Service was very good considering that we do not speak the language. Server suggested a meal and the portion was huge! Easily could have been shared but this is how it is in Europe. We had a sampler with a chicken skewer, seasoned pork and fries. A liqueur was given first and then our meal. Highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again when in Koblenz.

A very nice piece of Greece in Koblenz, we got space for 4 people without a reservation and the food was very good.

Positive: The food tasted good, the portions were generous. Negative: The waitresses seemed listless, even though the restaurant had just opened. As guests we felt somehow treated and unwelcome. In our opinion, the price was a bit too expensive at just under €30.00 due to the additional side salad that had to be paid for a standard Greek grill plate.

Today I spontaneously visited this Greek restaurant in the heart of Koblenz. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted warmly and shown a nice place to sit. I chose an Apollon plate, which was a good choice. The portion wasn't too big, it tasted delicious! The service is very attentive and I also find the restaurant very cozy. If I lived here, I would be there more often😊

Excellent restaurant, and it was full, even on a Monday evening, so it must be a popular spot here. The food was delicious, but the doses are extremely (even “too”) generous. I couldn’t finish my dish (Poseidon), there was enough meat for 3-4 people! But it was very tasty and the meat was well grilled. Highly recommended, but maybe ask for the portions sizes beforehand or share your food with someone to avoid waste.

The liver I ordered was very thinly sliced ​​and dry. When I asked where the onions were (I only know that onions are always served with fried liver), they were first prepared and arrived when the meat was cold. Later I was allowed to pay an extra 3.90 euros for the onions. I would have liked to drink something else, but unfortunately no one came to us for a long time to ask if we would like anything else. We went to this restaurant for the first time. Without a reservation, we tried our luck and got a spot straight away. Restaurant was very well attended. The food was excellent. I don't know when we last had such good Greek food. We will come back.

Yesterday we were with our moms' regulars' table (eating here without children) The food tasted excellent and the portions were large enough. We both had a pan from which we unfortunately had to order the fries separately. We charged another €4.50 for a small portion of fries. But okay, they were delicious thick fries 😉 I paid €30 for my meal with a cyclist and a tip. That's still okay for me. The ambience could use some renovation, it is very old. The service was always friendly and accommodating. I can't say anything negative about that. I'll definitely come back again.

Ik ga in Nederland al jaren niet meer naar de Griek maar vergeleken met wat hier geserveerd wordt doen de collega's in Heerlen het zo gek nog niet. Ik had gyros die niet knapperig gebakken , zonder veel smaak, kleurloos was, lauw en zoals gewend bij de Griek wel veel, maar niet lekker, geen kwaliteit. Ik twijfel of het ter plekke in de keuken bereid was; het ging nog sneller dan bij de afhaal-chinees. De bijgevoegde 'rijst' balletjes waren net zo lauw en smaakloos en de tzatziki had misschien naast wat knoflook gelegen maar smaakte er zeker niet naar. De prijs was vergelijkbaar met de Nederlandse collega's maar die doen er dan tenminste nog wat salade bij....... De droge witte wijn was een absolute afknapper, zeker in streken waar de wijnteelt zo belangrijk is. Ik ga hier niet nog eens terug

Freitagabendbesuch zu sechst. Bei Ankunft im Restaurant, wussten die servicekräfte nichts von uns, trotz Reservierung. Nach einem kurzen lauten Disput untereinander vor uns Gästen, wurden zwei Tische zusammengeschoben und wir wurden platziert; allerdings mit dem Gefühl nicht wirklich willkommen zu sein… generell scheint der Ton der Kellner etwas ruppig. Das Essen war in Ordnung, da ist jeder unterschiedlicher Meinung. Ich persönlich fand das Fleisch angenehm zart, jedoch fehlte die Würze. Meine Begleitungen fanden das Essen auch solide. Die wirklich schlechte Leistung des Servicepersonals kam dann allerdings erst nach dem Essen ans Tageslicht: Wir wurden nicht gefragt, ob wir nach dem Essen noch etwas wünschen (Dessert, absacker oder Ähnliches). Einige von uns hatten noch von ihren Getränken, zwei von uns bestellten Espresso und einer noch ein helles Hefeweizen. Ca. 15 Minuten später kam einfach der Oberkellner ungefragt mit einem tablet und forderte uns auf zu zahlen. Wir bekamen das Gefühl, dass wir die Lokalität verlassen sollen. Nichtsdestotrotz gab jeder von uns gutes Trinkgeld (ca. 20% der Rechnung), was nicht einmal ein „danke“ des Kellners hervorbrachte. Alles in allem wirkt die Lokalität wie unterer Durchschnitt.

Leider waren wir eher unzufrieden. Die vegetarische Pfanne z.B. ist hinsichtlich Preis-Leistung enttäuschend, man wird eventuell satt, wenn man 2 bestellt, zahlt aber wie für alle anderen Hauptgerichte. Der Service war unfreundlich; auch wenn es ein stressiger Tag gewesen sein mag, kann man eine gewisse Freundlichkeit dem Gast gegenüber wahren. Schade, da es Berichten nach (früher) immer ein gutes Restaurant war.

What we ordered were perfect in terms of taste... nothing fails... a waiter helped us with the english menu, he was soo soo nice & friendly, made our whole experience more than perfect... we were comfortable that we ordered dessert when we did not plan to, and it was not disappointing... but im sorry we forgot to ask his name, but i think he was the only one who speaks english.. we love him!!

Heerlijk gegeten. Maar best stevig aan de prijs voor een Grieks restaurant. Bediening was snel en correct maar een glimlach was fijn geweest.

Sehr lecker, freundliche Kellner, leider immer sehr voll, man sollte hier reservieren. Außerdem gibt es keine kostenlosen Parkmöglichkeiten.

Essen ok kann man essen aber was besonderes ist es nicht Preisleistungsverhältnis paßt hier nicht ganz Service ganz ok.

Das Essen ist in Ordnung, die Speisekarte ist Recht einfach gehalten. Bei manchen Hauptgerichten sind Pommes dabei, bei anderen Reis. Beides gibt es nie. Die Preise sind für die gebotenen Portionsgrößen durchaus ordentlich. Unser Favorit wird das Restaurant Poseidon leider nicht.

Da essen ist einfach nur Durchschnitt. Das man sich damit in Koblenz halten kann lässt tief blicken. Qualitativ gibt es bessere Griechen. Hier macht es anscheinend die Lage aus. Die Salz und Pfefferstreuer könnten mal gereinigt werden. Das Eis war geschmacksneutral und die heißen Himbeeren waren naja, rot und sauer. Das Ambiente ist, alt ... einfach alt. Man versucht irgendwie verzweifelt den griechischen Charme einzubringen, aber das geht auch besser. Ich bin durchaus gewillt dem Poseidon nochmals eine kulinarische Chance zu geben. Vielleicht hatte ich nur Pech. Das wird am Ambiente zwar nichts ändern, aber sei es drum.

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe und der letzte hatte nur halb so viele Beilagen wie der erste. Niemand fragt nach ob alles in ordnung sei. Getränke muss man aktiv bestellen, es fragt niemand ob er noch etwas fehlt.

Früher hat es mir hier deutlich besser geschmeckt und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war auch deutlich besser. Kein Salat mehr zu den Gerichten, kleinere Portion als früher, Reis sehr geschmacksneutral, dafür deutlich teurer. Fleisch war aber sehr gut. Service sichtlich überfordert, alles dauerte recht lange, Getränkebestellungen wurden vergessen, wir saßen lange ohne Getränke da. Dafür aber ein 0,4l Spezi 5,20€. Passt für mich alles in allem leider nicht mehr.

Hatte die Rhodos Pfanne, Essen hat geschmeckt war aber auch kein Feuerwerk. Schade, dass keine Beilage dabei war außer Salat. Reis oder Pommes wären angebracht gewesen. So wurde ich leider nicht satt, da die Portion klein ist. Sollte man aber für 17 Euro erwarten dürfen. Pommes würden nochmal 5 Euro extra kosten... Erstmal der letzte Besuch gewesen.

Sehr gutes Essen, Bedienung war super. Hilfreich und humorvoll 😊. Das Ambiente könnte allerdings schöner sein. Hat aber keinen Einfluss auf das tolle Essen.

Wir waren zu Viert hier essen. Eher zufällig und ohne Reservierung. Die Tische waren alle belegt und alle Gäste kamen mit Reservierung. Das spricht ja für ein Restaurant. Und das haben wir auch so gesehen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen ausreichend. Mir sogar zu viel so dass ich die Hälfte habe einpacken lassen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und gehen wieder dort essen wenn wir in Koblenz sind.

Rund um völlig in Ordnung. Vor allem bei großem Hunger zur Mittagszeit ist eines der Gerichte der Mittagskarte zu empfehlen (sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis). Die urige und gemütliche Atmosphäre lädt zum Verweilen ein. Für mich persönlich gibt es Griechen, die geschmacklich etwas mehr zu bieten haben, aber einen Besuch ist das Restaurant allemal wert - vor allem auch aufgrund der gemütlichen Atmosphäre und des herausragenden Services!

Haben immer gerne dort gegessen, aber die letzten beiden Male hat es uns einfach nicht mehr geschmeckt. Gyros war wenig gewürzt und fade, ebenso wie der Beilagenreis. Lediglich das Tzatziki war super. Aber das reicht leider nicht…war alles mal besser.

Die Jahre vergehen und im Poseidon wird es immer behäbiger und Tragik komischer. Dafür erfahren die Preise eine schöne Entwicklung nach oben. Das Essen ist nicht mehr und nicht weniger als Durchschnitt. In Koblenz wird es kritisch einen guten Griechen zu finden ...schade.

Neue Karte...! Die Preise sind um einiges in die Höhe geschossen, die Portionen zusätzlich arg reduziert worden. Es wurden bei vielen Gerichten zusätzlich der Salat oder die Beilage gestrichen. Auf den Hinweis, dass wir nicht satt geworden seien, wurde nicht weiter reagiert. Hier werden wohl nur noch Touristen abgezockt. Wir gehen erst mal nicht mehr hin! Schade, denn lecker war es eigentlich immer. PS:Der Service war gut, weil wir den netten Kellner erwischt hatten.
