Standard restaurant, a little noisy.

Very tasty. The gyro, in particular, was first-class. The staff was friendly and the value for money was excellent. Absolutely recommended. We'll definitely be back.

The Poseidon is worth a visit, but the quality depends on the day. I had a good day with two people, but also a bad one: servers didn't ask for empty drinks, food was lukewarm to cold, and the wait time was a bit long. The ambiance feels a bit like a hybrid: Greek and German restaurant.

It can happen that something is forgotten, well you can also say it and not that 6 people who received the food are waiting for the food for the other 2 people, which came over 20 minutes later because of the wrong order, no apology or explanation.

We went to the restaurant for lunch yesterday. The food was very good, and the service was friendly. We enjoyed it.

Attention! New menu...! Prices have shot up considerably, while portions have been reduced. The salad or side dish has been removed from many dishes. Olives, onions, and cabbage have disappeared completely. With the new owner, the wait times are extremely long. It's a shame, because it was always delicious. .

This was a real hit in the Schengelstadt district. First-class, fast service, the gyro was just right (hard to finish!), the rice was excellent, and the tzatziki was fantastic. And we even got a welcome drink of ouzo. In short: pure delight.

We waited over an hour for a more than average meal.

The food tastes very good, but the prices are a bit too high in my opinion. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is generally very pleasant!

We were waiting at the entrance at 2:15 PM, when three staff members saw us from behind the restaurant and did nothing. Finally, one of them came towards us, I thought, but she was only going to bring something to another guest. It wasn't until I approached her, even though we'd already been standing there for over five minutes and they'd been looking our way constantly, that I was told "Midday break." Ridiculous.

We arrived at 2:15 PM to get something to eat. The staff let us stand at the entrance, and when they walked by to bring something for another customer, we asked if we could eat something (the restaurant was empty), and they casually told us they were on a break. Shameful, we had a delicious meal a little further down the road at Foody with great service.

We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. on a Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday in a pleasant atmosphere, but unfortunately, the evening turned out to be a disappointment. The service was poor, and we didn't feel welcome at all. Furthermore, the wait for the food was over an hour. While we understand the possible lack of staff or high occupancy, a simple "We're sorry" or a small token of apology like bread or an appetizer would have been the least we could do. But instead: pure ignorance from the waiter... The waiter simply took our order and then disappeared. Only after asking were we told the food would arrive "in 10 minutes," which was completely untrue. After waiting a bit longer, we had had enough, canceled our order, and left the restaurant disappointed. This was definitely not how we imagined a birthday dinner with friends. Personally, I will never set foot in the restaurant again...

We stopped in spontaneously on a Saturday. We wanted to round off our evening at this Greek restaurant. The drinks and ouzo arrived very quickly. Our order was taken friendly. After an hour of waiting, we asked when our food would be arriving. We were told it would be right away. The couple next to us had also been waiting 90 minutes for their food. Around us, several guests left the restaurant without eating. As if we were about to leave after a two-hour wait, the waitress came towards us with two plates. We weren't in a great mood. We had the food and were very, very disappointed. The food was burnt and the taste was definitely better! I took a photo of the food and my partner paid as quickly as possible. They apologized several times, but nothing else. I will not and cannot recommend this restaurant.

Yesterday, after a very nice day in Koblenz, we arrived at the restaurant as a group of eight people before the official opening time. Our visit was supposed to be a crowning achievement, but it backfired. Our drink and food orders were taken relatively quickly. Up until then, everything was fine. From our seats, we could clearly see who was arriving significantly later than us and wondered why some of these guests had already finished their meals and had even paid. Meanwhile, most of our group was still sitting in front of empty glasses. After waiting for an hour, we asked for the first time when our order would be ready. The first answer: in about 4 to 5 minutes. After this time, we were asked twice more in this rhythm with the same result, but by different employees. After waiting for 1.5 hours and under threat of leaving the restaurant, we finally received our food. However, there was only the food service and no further requests for drinks. CONCLUSION: Adherence to the order of the dishes: FALSE. The worst comment from an employee: The restaurant is full, even though we were the first guests, along with a single couple. We won't be guests there again, because on top of that, we weren't treated as such.

The service was outrageously unfriendly; the food only arrived after over 90 minutes, and they didn't understand why we were complaining. The food was okay.

Unfortunately, the food was nothing special, and the wine, at €6 a glass, was more like a tetra pack. The service was friendly, but the ambiance didn't appeal to me personally. Good location in the old town.

Very good service, the chef personally greets guests. The food is delicious and the lunch menu is plentiful. I had the Socrates plate, a pilsner, and a Greek mocha.

The meat was tasty. The rice was not. It wasn't well seasoned. We also had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The restaurant wasn't full. But it's worth a visit.

After a hot, tiring day, we were looking for something tasty and—as out-of-towners—we decided on the Poseidon! It was the right choice! The drinks came quickly, the food was fantastic, the prices reasonable, the service excellent, and the staff very friendly and enthusiastic. The only thing that bothered us a little was the traffic on the narrow street (we were sitting outside in glorious weather, of course). We'll be back on our next trip to Koblenz!

Two of us had lunch at Poseidon on May 24, 2025. At lunchtime, in addition to the main menu, there is also a small lunch menu with reasonable prices. The reception from the wait staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. We both ordered something from the lunch menu, and the food was served promptly. The price/performance ratio was perfectly reasonable, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The manager always has a quick quip ready at the checkout. If we're ever in Koblenz again, we'd love to come back!

The food was delicious. The service was incredibly unfriendly. There were at least six waiters milling around the restaurant, all serving every table. There were seven of us. The appetizers were delivered incorrectly, and then there was no ouzo left at the end.

A very warmly run restaurant with a great selection of Greek dishes. Pleasant atmosphere and centrally located in the old town. Of course, prices vary depending on the dish, but it's still not too expensive. We'd be happy to return on our next trip to Koblenz.

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. We went there with family and had a very bad experience. First we had to wait half an hour for our order to be taken. After that it took 1 hour and 20 minutes for the food to arrive. When we politely pointed out that the meat was undercooked, the waiter was very disrespectful and said, "If you want to eat it, eat it, otherwise you can leave." I have never experienced such rude behavior. We returned to the table later, but the food wasn't particularly good either. Service and quality leave a lot to be desired. Never again for us - I really can't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Today, May 11th, 2025, we went to eat in this restaurant with our family at 6:00 p.m. on Mother's Day. Despite the early hour, the restaurant was already very full. We then had to wait for a waiter, who was unfortunately very unfriendly. After placing our order we waited 70 minutes for our food. When we asked why it was taking so long, the waiter spoke rudely at us. The food was also not recommended. Apart from that the service is very disrespectful and rude. I advise everyone against this restaurant.

Went in quite late on a sunday. They found someone who spoke English and helped with our order. Prices are standard considering it is part of the tourist area of the town. About the food, it tasted too salty. Maybe the feta cheese was a little bit too much briney.

Despite the stressful situation, the service was friendly and attentive. One point of criticism, however, is the condition of the restrooms. The sink wasn't particularly clean, and there were a few hairs in it, which somewhat marred the overall positive impression. They could focus on improving the cleanliness here. Overall: excellent food, good service, cleanliness in the restrooms could be improved.

The food is truly fantastic, the best Greek restaurant I know! Unfortunately, the atmosphere has deteriorated considerably. We've been eating there regularly for 15 years and were very surprised that they suddenly seemed to replace the entire staff, whom we'd known for 15 years! It's a shame, because this definitely added to the restaurant's appeal! The new staff is nice, but unfortunately, it's no longer as familiar as it once was.

Unfortunately, we chose the wrong restaurant for our Valentine's weekend in Koblenz. Should have listened better to the hotel receptionist's recommendations. At Poseidon the service was ok but the food was catastrophic and overpriced. We called ahead to see if they had octopus on the menu. When we arrived we only found grilled octopus in the starter and we only got it as a starter (15.50 euros) for 2 small ones! legs) without any side dish and almost unseasoned!!!! Fish platter 26.90 (except for the mini scampi, none of it was grilled, but fried😞🙈) Side dishes were charged extra, even the garlic. At first we were given bread, not pita bread, but normal bread from the supermarket, and when we asked, first a fried pita bread, then after complaining, the same fried bread was grilled, then we felt completely ripped off and was then replaced with grilled cheap flatbread bread, which we didn't eat, but we were charged for it, as each side dish was charged for. Final bill 99.40 😡😳. We were just told, pay and don't come back if it was bad. At the beginning we were given two ouzos with the beer that we hadn't ordered. P.S Tzatziki without cucumber, without dill, unseasoned🙈After my wife freaked out about the bill and went back because of the pita bread, we were refunded the price of the pita bread.

The meat was tasty and cooked to the right point. It would have been nice if the salad (decoration) had been with dressing. Then you could have distorted it and not ended up in the trash can. See it as a small suggestion for improvement.

Had dinner here today, 3 dishes, 2 small cola 80 euros, salads 3xa4.50 are 13.50 than 94 euros, I just found it much too expensive. As you can see, the plates weren't very full either. The food tasted good, but unfortunately it was only lukewarm and we had to wait 35 minutes. The service was very friendly.

I had been there again between the years and wanted to order something to drink and eat. The restaurant was only slightly busy. My drink arrived after 10 minutes when I spoke to the waitress. I knew what I would like to eat. My colleague said that A service worker walked up and down the restaurant for 15 minutes with an unsympathetic demeanor. I got up, paid for my drink and said I won't spend any more money here in the future. It's a shame. The food was always very good You would always be greeted a year ago. Quite a bit relaxed, very unfriendly, and no one can miss it anymore.

Two weeks ago on Sunday I had a lovely lunch here with my wife. The staff is friendly and helpful. What we found strange was that 1 young waitress kept stroking my wife's upper arm. That seemed a bit uncomfortable.

The food is great when it is served after a long wait and rather poor service. Previous experiences were better at this restaurant, but after having the same unsatisfactory experience twice now, we will be taking a break for a longer period of time. The ambience could be worked on, but it now seems quite old-fashioned and worn out.

We arrived quite late after a concert. The kitchen was actually already closed. The very nice owner and his team took pity on us and treated us really well and very attentively. There was also excellent wine. Thank you for allowing us to have such a successful end to the day!

Food was absolutely recommended! I've been traveling throughout Germany since 2008 and this was the best gyro I've ever had. Absolutely perfect, just how gyros should be. Ambiance was great. Service always polite and courteous. Special requests were responded to and acted upon...without any ifs or buts, everything was implemented very well. Toilets in the basement, therefore not wheelchair accessible, you just have to know in advance. All in all, definitely recommended. Please reserve in good time.

I've been there several times with friends and colleagues. Cozy restaurant with friendly staff. Price/performance is ok. Eat could be more interesting and varied. The card has a lot on it, but in the end everything is similar. I think Greek cuisine offers more. Big plus well suited for small to medium sized groups. Kitchen is quick and the waiters are very attentive.

We came here spontaneously because we were really hungry after the tour through Koblenz. The Poseidon caught our eye straight away. There wasn't much going on when we visited, so we were served quickly. At first we each got an ouzo on the house. The food was prepared relatively quickly. We ordered a platter for two people, which was really tasty. Unfortunately, neither of us were really full. The restaurant still deserves 4 stars because the food was delicious and the hospitality was just right. Can definitely recommend it.

Great service even during Corona times, food to be picked up and very tasty, first class quality therefore highly recommended, please support so that you can still eat there even after Corona. After pre-heating at Alex around the corner, we looked forward to a delicious dinner at Poseidon, which I had reserved. When we arrived it was packed and only our reserved table was available. We ordered and then had to a. Waited 40 minutes for the starters, which was ok. is so busy. My starter (sheep's cheese in puff pastry was good) but my friend, himself Greek, was disappointed that there were no grilled pepperoni. My main course (gyros and meat skewer) was ok but not the burner. Tzatziki was standard. My owner had the shrimp and they weren't that fresh for her taste, but they were ok. However, my Greek friend thought his minced meat was pretty subpar.... It was ok for me. Unfortunately very bad for my buddies. You can do it, but you don't have to.

The six of us spent a really nice evening there. Staff really nice. No long waits for drinks. Great price-performance ratio with very tasty food.

To date we have been loyal regulars to your restaurant, but unfortunately after our last visits we have decided not to eat at your restaurant again in the future. We have noticed that a lot has changed in various areas, unfortunately not for the better: 1. Service: The staff has changed about 90%, which in itself would not be problematic. However, on our last visit we had to wait a full 45 minutes for our drink order to be taken. That seems very inattentive. 2. Service: The staff walked past us several times without even taking a look at us as guests. Unfortunately, this doesn't leave a good impression. 3. Food: Portion sizes have become noticeably smaller, estimated by 20%, while prices have increased by around 40%. Onions and olives used to be standard, and salad had to be ordered separately, but these are now completely missing. This no longer corresponds to the quality we were used to. The ambience also seems outdated now. The benches have clear signs of wear, which affects the overall impression. We used to really enjoy the atmosphere and the food, but after the last three visits our entire family has decided not to eat at your place for the time being. However, I would like to visit again in a year and very much hope that the situation will have improved by then.

I would have liked to have eaten there for my birthday, watched on Monday, company vacation up to and including September 16th, 2024, lucky, my birthday isn't until September 18th! Authentic Greek restaurant with very good meat, perfect doneness and fantastic tzatziki! It was my first time here and I'm relatively critical when it comes to grilled meat, but I definitely wasn't disappointed. Gladly again!

We have been guests again and again over the last 6-7 years and have enjoyed it so far. In terms of taste, the food is still okay, but the price-performance ratio has decreased significantly. Above all, the amount of side dishes is a joke. Ordered a handful of fries extra for €4.50, the portion was twice as big six months ago. The drink prices were also quite high considering the ambience. The gyro was too dry and very hard. The cleanliness of the toilets was not particularly good, toilet paper was missing right at opening time and an unpleasant smell spread from the toilets to the restaurant. We were happy to get a seat outside. We understand the rising costs for restaurateurs, but we won't be coming back here any time soon.

We had specifically asked in advance when we should come, because of the table allocation, because a reservation was not possible. When we arrived shortly before 9 p.m., as suggested, we were given the menu with the words we can look, but there were only two left Dishes to choose from. After our food arrived, everyone was missing the side salad we had previously ordered. This didn't come either. The tzatziki we ordered was small but the price was high. Unfortunately, some of the meat was also bloody. It's a shame that the visit was so disappointing, they should have canceled us. So we decided that luckily there are other restaurants
