Very tasty food and friendly service and cozy atmosphere

Fish plates with fried potatoes were delicious. Unfortunately the meat dishes were not. The ambience is rustic, North German, the service is attentive and friendly. Fish dishes Top fish dishes unfortunately a flop.

The price-performance ratio is very good, the food is really really good. All in all, the visit is worth it. PS: the desserts are also very good

Wir waren hier an meinem Geburtstag hier zum Essen (während unserem Urlaub) und wir waren begeistert. Wir hatten Reserviert (auf jeden Fall besser) und waren 20 Minuten zu früh, wurden aber trotzdem herzlich empfangen und zum Tisch gebracht. Wir wurden von der Chefin persönlich bedient und waren begeistert. Die Speisekarte ist mehr als üppig und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. (Wir hatten Fischplatte für Zwei und Stürhus-Pfanne, beides sehr zu empfehlen!!!!!) Wir haben uns entschlossen zwei Tage später zum Abschluss des Urlaubs nochmal zu reservieren und wurden auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht. Die Küche arbeitet mit Herz und Hand. Die Portionen sind sehr großzügig und der Service ausgezeichnet. Macht weiter so! Wir wissen wo wir im nächsten Nordseeurlaub zum Essen gehen. Danke für diese Erfahrung. Liebe Grüße aus Hessen

Preis- Leistung passt und die Fischgerichte ein Traum .Personal super nett .Wärmstens zu empfehlen, auch wenn man nur ander Theke sitzen möchte. Bitte reservieren, dann paßt alles!!!

Like on every holiday, we were back in the Stürhus. However, this time it wasn't good at all. First of all, the restaurant is very narrow. This should be taken into account for strollers or similar. We ordered our food and when it arrived we were told that the food had been prepared incorrectly. As “compensation” there was a schnapps on the house. If it had stayed that way... We had ordered more fries for a meal and they came when everyone had finished eating. When the real food finally arrived with the plaice, the "leek vegetables" were cooked in a strong mustard sauce. Fortunately, since there was no allergy, it was eaten. We politely asked the waitress whether there was mustard in the food because she didn't say anything about it. This was confirmed by the waitress. She wanted to send the boss because we don't think it's okay if you aren't told what to do. She took more than her time and only showed up after asking again. Apparently she is sick, but is still in the restaurant (also questionable..) We were only told that we should have asked for the allergy card, it would be there.. For us this visit was the last visit! It's a shame that you can't speak to the team at the Stürhaus Restaurant properly. Please note that there can be something else in it everywhere.

We spent a week on the North Sea and ate there three times. 2x fish platter for 2 people and the meat platter. The whole team is super nice to have fun with too. Without a reservation no chance to get a place. My husband ordered a table for my birthday and it was decorated accordingly.

I ate the grill pan there, the fried potatoes weren't that tasty and one condition was probably having a bad day. I think the price is a bit too high. The ambience is great.

It's a great restaurant here in Bensersiel, everything is just right, great, great. Unfortunately our vacation is almost over and we can be guests at the Stürhaus for the last time tomorrow. The Müller family from Hohenwarthe (Saxony-Anhalt). Thank you for everything.

The restaurant is highly recommended. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is rustic northern German and the girls are all nice and attentive. My wife and I went there three times in a week's vacation and were never disappointed. On the last day there was the fish platter. The photo speaks for itself, right? 🤤 Finally, you should drink a “Northern Lights” drink. And always reserve! We will definitely come back on our next vacation.

Bad food and the service is very unfriendly

Very nice service staff, great atmosphere. The odd cobweb is also part of it 😉 The waitress came promptly to take the drinks and food orders. The drinks were brought quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive either. The food was great in terms of taste and appearance.

Super delicious food, definitely worth visiting, Katharina and the team were very attentive, were at the counter even after the meal and always had a great evening. Definitely coming back next year. A little tip: be sure to reserve a table

Absolutely recommended, super great food and have been there several times. You have to reserve in advance and you should do that if you want to end the day super satisfied.

So my meal was sensational! The cutter plaice with roasted bacon and onions with baked potatoes and herb quark was brilliant! The price was definitely ok. The staff was reserved at first but then very friendly. So it is absolutely recommended 👍 But definitely reserve a table... Edit: Went there again and had plaice with leeks. Also delicious, but in my opinion the leek is too strong for the delicate plaice. Still 5 stars for Kerstin and the other women and men in the kitchen!!

Auf der Terrasse kann man nett sitzen,Innengastro gemütlich,abends gegessen.Die Gerichte schwammen im Öl,Preisleistung katastrophal,die Chefin geht zum lachen in den Keller,alles wirkt stressig und hektisch.

Can only recommend this restaurant. The food tastes really very good. The service is also really great. Price performance is totally right. I would like to come more often :-)

We had dinner at "Stürhus" three times during our 10-day stay in Bensersiel and it was always a great experience. The service is very friendly, attentive and quick. The food was always very tasty, beautifully prepared and fresh. Prices are more than appropriate for the excellent quality. We can fully recommend the “Stürhus”, even for families with children.

Very nice restaurant, the service is very quick, ordering drinks was very quick and something was brought for the children to paint, but the food wasn't that great for this price range. The fish on the fish platter tastes bland... the fish on the fish platter is very good, but the sauces on the fish platter taste like ready-made powder stirred into water - no spice or taste I actually wanted to eat a crab soup as a starter, whereupon I was told that they didn't have any crabs, but that wasn't so bad because the broth from which the soup is made is used to cook the crabs and the soup anyway would taste like crabs... I've never heard of anything like that. For pasta in pesto cream (loveless and totally bland) In my opinion, asking €22.40 was far too much…. Well, the look of the food here is definitely great, in keeping with the saying “you eat with your eyes”, but the taste and price are not so good For two children and two adults 124€ is definitely too much So unfortunately that's not enough for us for a second visit

A very nice, rustic fish restaurant on the promenade in Bensersiel. Highly recommended, the Hamburger Pannfisch is really an absolute poem, I had to order it again on the second visit. Reservations are also recommended here as the restaurant is in high demand. The girls (and boys) there do a great job and, despite a lot of work, stress and pressure, they are always in a good mood with a funny saying on their lips. 100% recommendation and a tip for the ladies, don't forget to take a deep breath every now and then.

Price, service, quantity and taste were great. The service was nice and “cheeky”. Always happy to have lunch there. We were back there in August 2023. There is no other way to say it: TOP, recommended. The service is excellent, fast and works like a charm... Always happy(!!!) August 2024...it felt like the years before. A great team, great food, great atmosphere, an "eloquent" boss who holds the shop together. Always worth a trip.

If you want to eat delicious fish, this is the right place. Large portions and very friendly service. However, no card payment is possible, which is no longer appropriate these days.

The Stürhus in Bensersiel offers a wonderful experience in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. The rustic, cozy furnishings give the restaurant a special atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay even more pleasant. The meat platter for two people is particularly recommended – the meat was excellently prepared and of the best quality. Unfortunately, the sauces served with it were not convincing in terms of taste, which was a bit of a downer. Another point of disappointment was the lack of card payment, which should be standard these days, especially in a tourist area. Otherwise everything was great and we would love to come back!

It's just as good there as it was many years ago. The ladies there are very nice. Everything great But you notice that everything has become super expensive, and logically you also pay for the health resort and the tourist shishi. I would like to do it more often, but I don't have the dough.

Good and tasty food, friendly service, we would love to come back if we go on holiday nearby again. On August 9th, 2024 we ate at Stürhus again after 5 years. This evening the food was again very tasty and recommended. We had the schnitzel "Viennese style", the schnitzel with mushrooms and cream sauce and the redfish wrapped in bacon. The portions were plentiful. The staff was very friendly. We'll come back on our next vacation, promise.

Everything is perfect for us in the Stürhus. We feel very comfortable there, we are always served warmly and the food is absolutely great. We'll be back.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen vor allem für Leute die gerne Fisch essen. Auf der Terasse kann man in Strandkörben sitzen .Einziges Manko es ist wirklich direkt an der Hauptstraße.

We ate in this restaurant several times during our stay in Bensersiel, as we were impressed by the quality on the first visit. No matter which fish dish we tried, it was always very good and attractively prepared. The dessert was also to die for. We can therefore only recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Essen super, stets frisch und sehr gute Zusammenstellung. Gerade Fischgerichte in einer z.T. interessanten Kombination mit Spinat , Knoblauch oder einer leichten Currysoße.

Very freshly prepared dishes. The service is also excellent, as is the ambience. Everything coordinated harmoniously. You feel really comfortable and can enjoy the food. What really appealed to me personally was the fact that they thought about the kids. In addition to the great kids' meals, there was also a coloring page to shorten the waiting time.

After waiting for a place on the terrace, we were greeted with painting materials for the children (which was also the children's menu) and the menus, drinks and food were taken, there was a lot going on and so there were longer waiting times, the food was delicious!

Went to the Stürhus again today with our children and grandchildren, the food was good and tasty, so once again brilliant, and the service and staff were again super friendly. Always happy 👍🤗

We sat outside quite nicely. Service was totally overwhelmed, but nice. Fried potatoes weren't really fresh and tasted like they had been warmed up. Some dishes not available. Someone else came to check out instead of the actual waitress. Price/performance inadequate. I honestly don't understand the good reviews. It wasn't really bad, but it's not enough to make me come back.

Seit unserem letzten Trip nach Bensersiel sind mittlerweile drei Jahre vergangen. Da wir das Stürhus - selbst unter Corona - in hervorragender Erinnerung hatten, sind wir hier gerne wieder eingekehrt. Die Lage ist zentral und das urige Ambiente ist gemütlich und einladend. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und hervorragend bedient, das Personal ist überaus aufmerksam und kompetent. Die Karte bietet eine gute Auswahl an Fischgerichten, aber auch diverse Alternativen für Fleischliebhaber und Vegetarier. Geschmacklich ließen unsere Speisen keine Wünsche offen. Der Fisch war sehr lecker und auf den Punkt zubereitet, die Beilagen waren frisch und ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Die Preisgestaltung ist mehr als fair, wir können das Stürhus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder. PS: Sicherlich sind die Geschmäcker verschieden, aber so mancher Rezensent disqualifiziert sich durch Inhalt, Ausdruck, Orthographie, etc. quasi selbst. Der Form halber sei aber noch angemerkt, dass die Sauberkeit im Restaurant und auch im Sanitärbereich einwandfrei war.

If you are in Bensersiel you have to go to Stürhus to eat. Great, clock-like furnished restaurant. And the service is very nice! But we're talking about the food, the Hietenkäse, the duet of the fish fillet, the steamed Kabellau, the Matjes Hausfau, the plaice fillet, Parfait Sorbert. Unfortunately, fried potatoes are not the chef's thing. If you eat here you should take fries, croquettes or salt potatoes.

Very tasty food! We ate there twice and had the fish platter for 2 people, plaice and salmon. All highly recommended. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Feel free to try it out.

We were there today, less than 2 minutes later the nice waitress came and brought us pens and a coloring sheet for our son. Food was also A1, fish was juicy and perfect, as were the fried potatoes.

Overall it was okay. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were quite dark, the fish was a bit dry and the service was probably overworked.

Tisch dreckig, service völlig überfordert, Toiletten zum Keller richen stark nach Urin....Das Essen Katastrophe ...mehr muß man nicht sagen....schade das aus dem Laden so eine Kaschemme geworden ist....

We were in this restaurant on July 20, 2024. Unfortunately, after making a reservation, we didn't get a table and had to wait 20 minutes. The service staff were completely overwhelmed and unfriendly. When we finally got a table, it took another 20 minutes to get the drinks. We would have liked to leave again, but we were hungry and in Bensersiel all the restaurants are fully booked every day. We then ordered something to eat and after 40 minutes, food arrived, but it tasted catastrophic. After that, no one spoke to them, they just smiled and said sorry, that they didn't meet English taste and that's it. We paid and left once and never again

Fish dry. Everything was a bit salty, fried potatoes were over-fried. Second round of drinks first forgotten, then served with a lot of dawdling and a cheeky saying after a good 30 minutes. At the end the waiter's daughter was still upset that there was no tip.

Nice restaurant, I would recommend a reservation during high season. The fish platter for 2 (or more) people is highly recommended! And very tasty! Also very positive: the fish fingers on the pirate plate on the children's menu are homemade and really great! The atmosphere is great, especially with a view of the North Sea! The service was very nice.

We ate there almost every day on vacation. The food is great and the price-performance ratio too! The girls were always super nice and quick. I can only recommend it to everyone!

Very cozy restaurant with very good food. We had an excellent fish platter for two with cod, zander, redfish, plaice and salmon. The fish was fresh, very well prepared and very tasty. The same applies to the side dishes. The potato soup with bacon is also super delicious. On weekends and in high season you should definitely reserve a table in advance. Very friendly owners.

One word describes it all: fantastic! The staff, both in service and in the kitchen, do a great job, are authentic, human and close to the guests. The food is exquisite, beautifully presented and pleases not only the palate but also the eye! Always my pleasure!!!

Short version: Rustic ambience (meant positively), delicious food, attentive service. First of all: I am a really picky eater and as an amateur cook and absolute food lover, for me food is not just food intake. From my side, I can absolutely recommend the restaurant! The dishes were all really very tasty and, as far as I can tell, freshly cooked and home-made (e.g. Sc. Hollandaise or the spinach with garlic). The only small negative point was the seasonal asparagus: it was a bit too firm for me and my girlfriend, which we kindly told the staff, but the taste here too: Everything was great! We had a meat platter for 2 people! Plenty of vegetables, meat, fried potatoes and baked potatoes. It's also fantastically delicious 😍 I hope I can somehow get the recipe for the red sauce! 🤔 Service was friendly, even to our four-legged friend 🐶 and quick! Update May 27, 2024: I'm celebrating my birthday on vacation (I'm 'zero', so something special) Reserved a table there 3 weeks ago because I wanted a special restaurant. On site: closed due to illness 😡😡 We eat out almost every day for the 2 weeks. My complaint: You can always get sick...but please cancel the reservations. Then I could have rescheduled! Not a nice 'birthday present' From 5 to 1 star within seconds...🤷‍♀️ We guests are also expected to cancel - which I always do!

We immediately liked the ambience of the Stürhus restaurant in Bensersiel. Although the Stürhus was well attended, we were served quickly by the nice waitress and we didn't have to wait long for the fish dishes. Unfortunately, the “Finkenwerder Art” cutter plaice was no longer in stock. Instead there were corn plaices with fried potatoes. The price and performance ratio was okay. The food was delicious and we spent a cozy evening in the Stürhus.

Such a quaint restaurant and very friendly service is fun. We felt completely comfortable. The food was excellent. There was also seasonal asparagus with rump steak. The ingredients are specially prepared and served.

We were warmly welcomed and allowed to sit at the window upstairs. Super nice view and great, rustic charm. The starter was a bit low for the price, but we really got a lot for the money with the main course. The dishes were superbly prepared, lovingly prepared and served hot. Only the noodles were almost cold. For us it's still 5 stars because the food was really good! A bowl of water was also provided for our dog right at the beginning, thank you for that!

We sat on the upper deck and the whole thing gave off a very nice and lovingly furnished atmosphere. The service was really great. Very quick, very attentive and completely familiar with the menu and drinks menu. The price-performance ratio is really good and reasonable. We had two different fish dishes, although our only complaint was the fried potatoes. Unfortunately they were a bit soggy, but that could have been a slip-up. Overall we found our stay there good.
