The Deichklause is good middle class. The service is very attentive and friendly. The main courses were ok and you'll definitely be full. There are points of criticism for the side salad. This is tasteless and also somewhat carelessly prepared. The combination of turkey schnitzel and hollondaise is also not recommended for my taste - very difficult, the pepper sauce would be better here. We ordered them specially. Unfortunately there is no vegan food. Therefore only 3 to 3 1/2 stars

Since we came here spontaneously because the Stürhuus was closed despite having booked in advance, we were completely unbiased. The food was delicious 😋 (I suspect that some of it was convenience products) Nevertheless, it was tasty, the service was nice and attentive (1 man 'threw out' of the restaurant) Nice and quiet to sit outside... Everything is beautiful all around..

The ambience is clean and tidy, but frozen in time. Nevertheless, the two gentlemen (waitress) are super friendly and joking. My fish with North Sea crabs and fries instead of fried potatoes (change at no extra charge!) was very tasty and a great portion. One star deducted because of the thin salad dressing, which was really nothing. However, food was at the table quickly. You can't make a reservation, you just have to be early enough or you'll be waiting at the bar with a beer. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible.

Very attentive staff, both friendly, food arrived 10 minutes after ordering. The atmosphere is rustic and the beer garden is OK. We all had meat dishes, which were average. Salad wasn't that great, sauce was either stretched out or the broth was always so thin, I have no idea. Try it yourself...

Wir waren mit der Familir dort und hatten Fisch. Das Essen war okay. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger... Etwas wenig gewürzt und "lieblos" angerichtet, dafür relativ teuer. Wir würden nicht unbedingt nochmal dorthin gehen.

Delicious food, I can only recommend it

Delicious food that looks and tastes homemade. The pepper sauce for the pork medallions was definitely homemade. Unfortunately no card payment possible, which is not at all understandable these days and in a tourist town.

We were there to eat on the first day and again after 10 days, all I can say is that it is delicious, nice and hot and quickly on the table. Of all the other restaurants we visited in Bensersiel, the food tasted the tastiest. For me at the moment...thumbs up ;-)

This was my second time eating there and, like the first time, it was very tasty. The staff is also very friendly and was very quick with the delicious food at our table :) the schnitzel in the photo was a children's plate.

There were three of us in the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and all three of us enjoyed the food. I had fried pollack fillet with boiled potatoes and melted butter, I can only recommend it.

Nice service, good service. Fish with fried potatoes and North Sea crab was very good. Unfortunately, the asparagus in the pork fillet with asparagus was cold, so it only got 3 points.

The ambience was simple, the service was somewhat ok, but the food was really not good, everything was very greasy and sometimes way too much pepper and too expensive. Hardly any vegetarian options. It is also incomprehensible that card payments are not accepted here (as in the rest of the town).

We ordered a schnitzel, meatloaf and salmon fillet. Schnitzel and meatloaf were okay, but the salmon tasted like frozen salmon and I didn't expect that for almost €24. The men's toilet could have been cleaner so I didn't let my son use it. This notice from the service was met with surprise.

We were there for the first time today and were really satisfied. Hut was full. Service was friendly. Fish soup was really tasty and also hot, redfish Büsumer style, very tasty and plentiful. North Sea crabs with egg and fried potatoes are also really good. Well, side salad is just as usual up here, iceberg lettuce with some garnish. But fresh. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

Worst gypsy schnitzel I've eaten in a long time. Criticism was not accepted. On the contrary, you yourself were questioned. Unprofessional behavior.

The table was only wiped when asked and with no understanding. Don't understand why this restaurant has 4.4 stars. The pork fillet tasted so pungently like pork. Simply inedible.

We visited the Deichklause restaurant twice during our vacation. The restaurant was always busy. The staff was friendly and the waiting times were always short. The food was served quickly and was convincing. We particularly enjoyed the onion schnitzel with fried potatoes. On our next visit to Bensersiel we would like to stop at the Deichklause again.

The food is very tasty, freshly prepared and the portions are not too small. Fast and friendly service and short waiting times.

Unfortunately, I have to say that it was my worst visit to a restaurant ever. Unfortunately the plaice died twice, once in rancid fat, the shrimps were unfortunately simply sprinkled over it cold, and even the potatoes were inedible. The owner is nice, but unfortunately nothing could save it. €4.50 for a non-alcoholic shandy is also a hefty price that came with a dirty table (even though there was nothing going on and I was the only guest). All in all, unfortunately, a total failure.

Mein Mann und ich haben dieses Lokal schon öfters besucht, da wir ganz in der Nähe wohnen. Der Wirt ist ein ganz sympathischer, netter Mensch und seine Frau eine perfekte Köchin. Wenn ich Sonntags keine Lust habe zu kochen, bekommen wir dort ein Essen, das genau so gut schmeckt, als hätte man es frisch Zuhause gekocht. Frische Zutaten, geschmackvolle Gerichte, reichliche Auswahl (von Hackbraten über Fisch bis hin zu Pasta...), große Portionen zum kleinen Preis und freundliche Bewirtung machen diesen Laden für uns zu einem unserer Lieblingsrestaurants. Dieses Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert!

My meal was good, fish fillet with fried potatoes, remolade and salad. The Matjes Hausfrau style was too powerful for my wife, the apple and cucumbers were cut way too big and the onions were missing in the sauce. The food came very quickly. The service was very friendly.

Bad food. Fish soup boring, tasteless and thickened with starch or something. Mega greasy fried potatoes (a shame to even call them fried potatoes) and the fried eggs were also swimming in fat. The side salad on an extra plate with fresh vegetables was good. All in all, way too expensive for what you get. I can't understand the good reviews here at all.

A simple restaurant, a bit like it used to be. It's also called Klause. Schnitzel great meat, fries could have been a little crispier. Dressing was added to the salad. I've eaten Hawaiian toast again for twenty years ;)). I immediately fell in love with the coffee dishes 😍

A visit born out of necessity, as all the other restaurants with fish on the menu were not yet open. It was a nice surprise. Yummy. Kind. Good prices.

Nothing wrong with the food. See nice owner. Nicely decorated and very nice atmosphere. All in all, an inn with nothing bad about it.

The restaurant is functionally furnished. All fish dishes are recommended. I love the mustard sauce with it. Now in the winter time it is quieter and a conversation can take place with all the guests. Dogs are welcome.

The senior plate of redfish was very good, the service was friendly and quick. Unfortunately no card payment possible.

Worst restaurant in Bensersiel. Freezers and fryers are part of the program here (we could see them from our table in the kitchen). The lettuce was already brown, The plaice was dripping with fat and it also tasted like old fat. The three different herrings were three times the same, one rolled up with spray cream, one had a strange sauce on it and one was blanco. Nothing is homemade. But prices as if it were so. It's pretty cheeky. What you pay was also calculated on a piece of paper. There was no receipt, which says it all and being friendly is something else. I don't understand the positive reviews at all.

Egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch ob groß oder klein für jeden etwas dabei. Wir waren mit der Familie hier essen und es war sehr gut.

Ganz nett, wenn man vor Ort ist und Hunger hat und außer etwas Chaos im Service gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Der Fisch und das Schnitzel sind allerdings TK-Ware und auch die "Sauce Hollandaise" war mal wieder keine, sondern dieses Tetrapak-Produkt von Lukull.

Das Restaurant wirkte sehr herzlich auf uns, weshalb wir dort speisen wollten. Das Essen kam schnell an. Essen geschmacklich gut, schön hergerichtet und frisch zubereitet und die Portionsgröße mehr als ausreichend. Die Bratkartoffeln sind ein Fertigprodukt. Aber trotzdem schmeckten sie gut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente sehr urich. Man fühlt aich wohl und kann dort gut essen.

Sehr leckere Fischgerichte. Ganz besonders ist die Krabbensuppe. Die Fleischgerichte hinken leider etwas hinterher, was einen bei einem Fischrestaurant aber auch nicht verwundert. Das Ambiente ist sehr rustikal, die Tische draußen sind bei gutem Wetter ideal. Der Service ist sehr freundlich aber auch sehr profitorientiert. Alles in allem lohnt sich ein Besuch immer. Bei schönem Wetter ist das Lokal stark frequentiert, aber die Wartezeiten sehr kurz.

Sehr zuvorkommender Service und sehr kinderfreundlich. Der Wirt hat uns sofort den Kinderbrei erwärmt und sich sogar um den Fahrradanhänger gekümmert. Absolut Daumen nach oben!
