The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the food and drinks are great, and in my opinion, the portions are perfect, so you don't end up feeling overstuffed. I absolutely love being here 🙌🏻😊

Today my husband and I went to Plietsch for breakfast. We were thrilled; the value for money was perfect. The new restaurant manager and the staff are absolutely accommodating. We'll be coming back more often from now on.

The concept is maintained, which isn't always successful for everyone. But Pietsch is definitely something special, and in a positive sense. When we reserved a table, our stated dog was taken into account, so he immediately felt comfortable because he had some space. The staff was consistently super friendly (without being ingratiating) and attentive. The menu isn't overly extensive, but there's definitely something for everyone. Personally, I'm not a fan of huge menus; either everything is repetitive or there's so much that I wonder how the quality and freshness can be maintained. Here at Pietsch, everything is just right. All the dishes arrived at the same time and were excellent in terms of taste and quality. So, I definitely recommend it. Thank you for a lovely and relaxing evening. A little tip: even if you don't "have to," go to the bathroom anyway; I think the creativity here deserves a mention.

Good heavens! What were you thinking? I've never experienced such attentive and friendly service in such a charming form. A true revelation for anyone who wants to experience the very best. You manage to be friendly and accommodating without being stuffy. Oh, and as a guest at Hotel Krögers, I was able to experience breakfast, dinner, and the bar. At any time of day, you can tell the staff enjoy their work. Chapeau! Your advertised breakfast is worth every cent. There are things here that I haven't found for breakfast anywhere else. All I can say is: "honey from the honeycomb." It's amazing. Anyone who can't find anything here must be a real idiot! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to drive around here.

A fantastic restaurant. We managed to get a spot without a reservation. The food (burgers) was simply fantastic. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We were completely satisfied.

We love fish dishes and were unfortunately very disappointed here. For example, the side salad was very tasty, but too small. We wanted some bread with it, which took 10 minutes and pushed the staff to their logistical limits. The main course consisted of various fish variations, all of which were bland and dry. Furthermore, the portions were far too small and the prices were too high. The service was average at first, but when we made a special request – the aforementioned bread – it deteriorated. During the meal, the dishes for each course were not cleared away, and we weren't asked if we wanted another drink or something similar. It wasn't due to occupancy. The restaurant was almost empty, and the three employees were having an animated conversation at the counter. The ambiance and decor were pleasant. However, the chairs were very uncomfortable, and our table wobbled. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

Delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Friendly staff and a beautiful location. I feel sorry for them because of the massive roadworks on the way there. But it's worth the effort to enjoy a fantastic meal!

I was there for breakfast. I met a friend there. The atmosphere was very nice. A large selection and a super clean buffet; everything was available right up until the end.

We've been going to Plietsch every Schützenfest Monday for over 15 years. Under the old management, the drinks were both cheaper and significantly better quality! This year, despite it being quiet and a MaiThai costing €10, we waited almost 20 minutes for seven drinks. When we pointed out that we felt this was way too long, we were rudely told, "I'm not the person to talk to, complain to the manager, he's on the pitch." We probably should have noticed the lack of professional competence when they said they weren't able to mix a Mojito or Caipirinia. We definitely won't be coming here again!

My husband and I went to the Plietsch Bar, and it was super pleasant, quiet, and cozy. I was only a little disappointed in one thing: that they didn't serve Piña Colda 🙈🍹, but the super friendly waitress explained to us why, and of course we understood. The cocktails we ordered were delicious and served quickly—no long wait! ☺️ We'll definitely be back 👍🏻

Top breakfast buffet with everything you could wish for. Friendly and very attentive staff in a well-appointed environment. One star was deducted because the fried eggs were not fresh (the yolk was dried out) and the scrambled eggs were clearly not made from fresh eggs, but rather from a "Tetra pack" in the style of McDonald's. Everything else was very appetizing and tasty.

Ridiculous. I ordered the entrecotes to fry myself today, but unfortunately I was the first to order it (according to the waiter). What can I say?! Of course, it didn't work out. I had to go home hungry, which was a total disgrace.

We went there for the breakfast buffet; there was a really good selection, something for every taste, from English breakfast to pancakes and fruit salad—it was really, really good. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal, which is a shame. Given the construction work going on right in front of the restaurant, it's a lot quieter than expected. Shouldn't you warmly welcome and serve the few customers you have and also clear the dirty dishes from the tables every now and then? That's a shame.

A superb buffet with a diverse selection of high-quality dishes and beautiful presentation with attention to detail. The service is particularly attentive and friendly. The ambiance is very appealing, and the price is lower than expected. We felt comfortable and would gladly come back! :)

We—two adults and one dog—went back to Plietsch for the breakfast buffet after the "reopening." It was fantastic again. A fantastic, expanded selection at the buffet. Everything was beautifully and attractively presented. Friendly and attentive service and a cheerful restaurant manager who also lends a hand. Highly recommended. We're already looking forward to the barbecue.

Wir waren echt super positiv überrascht: toller Cocktail vorweg und dann ein Mega-Super leckeres Essen !!! Zwar eine kleine Karte aber für jeden was dabei und eine erstklassige Qualität und Zubereitung

According to the waitress, a large bottle of water we supposedly ordered would have been charged to her personally if we had canceled, so we took it instead. The mixed salad with croutons and nuts came to the table without nuts. Professionals would have apologized, taken the salad back, completed it in the kitchen, and served it again. After persistently asking for more, we were at least given a bowl of nuts. The tarte flambée with green asparagus and sweet potatoes was served with white asparagus. When we objected, we were told that the difference wasn't that great. At least it was taken back. Overall, the waitress gave a helpless but certainly not competent impression. Further training is urgently required. The soup served, the Supaburger, and the crispy chicken burger brought as a replacement were delicious; we would have liked to have told the waitress this, but we weren't asked – partly because our table wasn't cleared long after the meal was over. Professionals would have served us a digestif on the house to make up for the mishaps, but we didn't even get a thank you when we noticed at the checkout that the two aperitifs we'd had in the bar before dinner weren't included in the bill because our reserved table wasn't available yet. What a shame, it could have been a lovely evening.

Went for the breakfast buffet... €19.90 per person including drinks. A rich selection at the buffet with fresh fruit, juices, etc., plus scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausages, and so on... Everything your heart desires. There was also a vegan "sausage" and lactose-free cold cuts to choose from... Friendly, warm service... Everything was great 👍

Very good restaurant. We've been there twice now for the breakfast buffet. Absolute madness. No wishes remain unfulfilled. Sausage, cheese, various jams, various types of fish, breakfast eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, Nuremberg sausages, chicken nuggets, pancake machine (where you can have the pancakes freshly prepared), yoghurt, cottage cheese, fruit, fruit juices, tomato-mozzarella, tomatoes, cucumbers, pastries, rice pudding, pudding, filter coffee, coffee machine where you can choose your own coffee specialty (coffee Crema, cappuccino, espresso, latte macchiato, tea) etc. Very friendly staff. 100% recommended. We would definitely like to come back.

On April 5, 2025 we went to the super breakfast for the first time and the name says it all. We really liked the changes, e.g. the free choice of hot drinks such as cappuccino, cocoa and coffee with milk. The fact that the tables now offer guests a little more space is also positive. The service is extremely attentive and friendly. All dishes offered were fresh and tasty. Our daughter loved the now larger selection of vegetarian components. All in all, breakfast can hardly be better. We'd love to come back.

Waren an einem Dienstag Abend vor Ort und erst ein bisschen Skeptisch aufgrund der Baustelle in der Bahnhofstrasse! Insgesamt kann ich nur sagen hat dieses Restaurant uns absolut überzeugt! Sehr freundliche Servicekraft, absolut überzeugendes Essen und eine klasse Atmosphäre. Kommen gerne zurück!

Very very tasty. Friendly and attentive service

We spontaneously ate there again this evening. The two girls were super nice and attentive. The 11 of us get the food! out of 10 points. An all-round successful evening.

Since we had already eaten in the restaurant during our short vacation last year and were very satisfied, we wanted to repeat this on our current vacation. Since the website wasn't working, we went straight to the restaurant to ask for a table. Fortunately, the restaurant was also open and you could see that more than half of the seats were still available. When we entered we were asked if we were hotel guests. Since we weren't, we were shown the door again, as the restaurant is only available to hotel guests in the evenings. Since the restaurant was only half full at 7 p.m. and there was no information about this regulation, we left without understanding.

Pleasant, nicely decorated restaurant with good cuisine and bar area. Currently only open for guests of Krögers Hotel (upon registration). This is one of the reasons why the constantly changing map is quite small - but nice.

Breakfast was very good and sufficient

We love eating here when we're on vacation. The breakfast buffet is really good with a very large selection of different dishes. The pancake machine is very popular with our children. We also always like the food in the evenings and the cocktail menu is great. We always find the service to be very nice and helpful with special requests.

Last time it was very tasty and beautiful. Unfortunately it is now closed or is now only open for hotel operations on a smaller scale.

Zu Beginn war der Laden leer und der Service schnell und aufmerksam. Die Speisekarte ist originell und sollte für jeden Geschmack etwas bieten. Die Cocktailkarte ist gut gefüllt. Als wir das Essen hatten, war es voll und der Service leider nicht mehr so aufmerksam. Bis wir das Dessert hatten, hat es ziemlich gedauert. Getränke kamen flott. Der Flammkuchen war knusprig und lecker. Die Roulade schien auf den ersten Blick sehr klein, hat aber doch satt gemacht. Die mit Parmesan überbackene Scholle war mal etwas anderes, lecker, aber ein wenig zu wenig gewürzt. Das Dessert mit Erdbeeren, Joghurt und Sahne war zwar lecker, aber die Proportionen haben nicht ganz gepasst. War etwas zu viel und unansehnlich angerichtet. Der Schokokuchen mit flüssigem Kern war das genaue Gegenteil: schön angerichtet, gute Menge. Und auch sehr lecker.

Ein geselliges Abendessen in moderner Atmosphäre. Die Aufnahme der Bestellung ließ etwas auf sich warten, da erst noch eine große Gruppe nach uns kam und vor uns die Bestellung aufgeben konnte. Die Getränke waren sehr gut. Insbesondere der kreative Hausaperitif Thymian Spritz. Bei der Aufnahme der Speisen stellte sich dann heraus, dass das gewählte Essen nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Diese Info wäre zu Beginn sinnvoller gewesen. Die alsdann gereichten Speisen waren sehr gut. Hier kann man durchaus wieder kommen

Hier sollte man aufpassen wenn man Getränke bestellt. Wir hatten uns zum Abschluss nach dem Abendessen einen Alkoholfreien Cocktail bestellt und unsere jüngste Tochter bekam einen mit Wodka. Leider ist dies uns nicht aufgefallen und so haben unsere beiden Kinder diesen getrunken, bzw ihre Cocktails geteilt. Aufgefallen ist es uns erst als die Rechnung kam. Daraufhin haben wir die Bedingung angesprochen und es wurde nur lapidar gesagt das es ein Kommunikationfehler mit der Bar gewesen sei. Es gab keine Entschuldigung vom Hause . In einer Email wurde mehr oder weniger uns die Schuld gegeben. Darauf hin habe ich das Gespräch mit Herrn Kröger gesucht, leider hat er anscheinend keinen Schneid sich persönlich dem Thema zu stellen, anstatt bekamen wir eine Email wo behauptet wurde das die Bar alles richtig gemacht hätten und sie uns nur 1 Euro schulden würden. Leider ist dieses nicht so, der Cocktail war mit Alkohol.

Also es ist ne Frechheit 19,60€ für das Frühstück zu verlangen! Labriges Brötchen,Lachs backte zusammen ...alles unAppetitlich ....also nie wieder....

My girlfriend and I ate in the above-mentioned restaurant on August 24th, 2024. We were thrilled by the delicious food, the very friendly staff and the ambience. The prices are also okay. If we go to the North Sea again, we would love to come back here. *****.

Wir waren sehr angetan von der Freundlichkeit des Service Personals. Das Essen war hervorragend. Und die kleine Aufmerksamkeit zum Geburtstag meiner Frau hat uns sehr überrascht. Alles in allem können wir nur weiterempfehlen.

Really nice restaurant. Our meal (rump steak with chanterelles and fries as well as fried onions) was very tasty. Service and atmosphere were also great. Only the cream Pfiffis could have been less lumpy.

Coffee snack was really tasty. Had poppy seed crumble cake with it. Very comfortable there. I recommend reserving a table for the evening. Gladly again 👍

Wir haben am 21.07.24 als Ehepaar das "Plitsch" in Esens in der Bahnhofsstrasse aufgesucht um dort ab 9.30 Uhr zu früstücken. Um es vorwegzunehmen, es war eine große Enttäuschung. Meine Frau und ich genießen sonntags zuhause ein sehr nettes Frühstück, fast immer mit selbstgemachtem Rührei und Lachs. Um es kurz zum machen, wie es uns dort an diesem Sonntag erging: Croissants so dünn, dass sie nicht aufgeschnitten werden konnten, Körnerbrötchen steinhart, Rührei noch nie so schlecht bekommen. Ich vermute es kamm aus einem Kanister. Kaffee und Lachs o.k. Aufschnitt mittelmäßig. Für mich war dann nach einem Brötchen schluss, das muss ich mir an einem Sonntag nicht antun. Fast 40 Euro für 2 Personen futsch! Ich habe die Bedienung darauf angesprochen. Er meinte, er könne mich verstehen. Die Verständigung mit dem Thekenpersonal ist auf Grund deutlicher Sprachbarrieren schwierig. Für uns in dieser Form ein "No go".

Haben meinen Geburtstag im Plietsch gefeiert. Zunächst in der stylischen Bar sehr leckere Aperitifs gehabt ( die schöne Terrasse war wegen des schlechten Wetters geschlossen) und dann ins Restaurant gewechselt. Guter Service, leckeres Essen ( ob Burger oder Matjes oder Hausmannskost) alles sehr empfehlenswert. Auch der Kuchen am Nachmittag ist sehr gut!

Wir waren dort mit unseren 3 Kindern zum Frühstück. Das Ambiente dort ist sehr ansprechend. Allerdings hapert es am Service. Als wir dort ankamen, fanden wir niemanden, der uns unseren zuvor reservierten Tisch zuwies. Daraufhin suchten wir unseren Platz selbst. Nachdem wir dann eine Mitarbeiterin antrafen, bekamen wir dann auch eine Kanne Kaffee. Cappuccino o.Ä. wurde uns leider nicht angeboten. Das Buffet an sich war abwechslungsreich und es war für Jeden etwas dabei. Es handelt sich halt um ein standardmäßiges Hotelfrühstück. Aber es war grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Als es dann ans Bezahlen ging, war uns kurz etwas anders. Das Gute ist, dass die Preise für die Kinder gestaffelt waren. So zahlten wir für ein Kind 8€, für das zweite 6€ und das dritte 2€. Für uns Erwachsene zahlten wir je 19,90€. Was in unseren Augen recht teuer ist, dafür, dass auch unter anderem der Service nahezu nicht vorhanden war und man gezielt den Kontakt zum Personal suchen musste. Wir zahlten also für unsere gesamte Familie 55,80€. Ich zahlte mit einem 100€ Schein und bekam 44€ zurück mit den Worten: „kein Kleingeld“. 20ct sind zwar nicht die Welt, aber das Verhalten war schon ziemlich dreist. Zusammenfassend können wir sagen, dass wir in unserem gesamten Urlaub für im Schnitt 35€ in verschiedenen Bäckereien „besseres“ Frühstück erhalten haben.

We use the Plietsch for our BNI Harlingerland chapter meetings (Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.). Great atmosphere appropriate for the meeting with a rich breakfast buffet. By the way: Business owners are cordially invited as visitors to our meetings and networks!!!

Der beste Platz in Esens. Wir haben zweimal hier zu Abend gegessen und es war spitze, toller Service, tolles Essen das Ambiente war super.

We were there for the second time and again everything was excellent. The staff is nice and requests are courteously accepted. The food leaves nothing to be desired and allergens and additives were well advertised for allergy sufferers, and you could also end the evening with a selection of drinks (delicious cocktails). With an overnight stay in the hotel, we were also able to enjoy the generous breakfast, which had everything we needed for a good start to the day, from sweet donuts and pancakes to hearty cold cuts with fresh rolls.

I always enjoy going there for breakfast. Always delicious and everyone is very friendly and attentive. The only thing I would like is more choice of cold cuts for the rolls. But that's just my feeling. Otherwise there is plenty of choice of other delicious things. You will always be full there and there is something for everyone.

Very tasty food and a nice clear selection. There is a very good selection of drinks and, for example, it is also possible to taste wine before you decide. The service itself was friendly and quick. We would have liked to have ordered more drinks, but the waitress didn't come back to take the drink order. That was the only point we didn't like so much. The design of the restaurant and also the toilet area is very cozy and has real charm! In particular, the old design pieces (motorcycles on the walls in the foyer and the old bicycle in the toilet area) are real eye-catchers here!

Wanted a small meal for lunch. Unfortunately the kitchen was only open from 5pm. According to the internet, it's consistent. After a lukewarm coffee we left again. It's a shame from the outside it makes a very inviting impression.

The food was ok, unfortunately the only vegan option is 1 salad and 1 soup. Even the supposedly vegan burger comes with brioche. The service was always friendly, but some were not very careful. The door to the smoking area was permanently set up to bring the drinks there. The area could also be reached via the bar. After a short time it started to stink in the non-smoking area.

Schade! Ein sehr schönes, stylisches Restaurant mit sehr nettem Service. Leider war das Essen sehr enttäuschend. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier garnicht. Tiefkühlprodukte in der Friteuse zubereiten, kann ich mir auch Zuhause. Deshalb für das Essen nur einen Stern.

Die Kellnerin, welche bei der Abend (happy-hour)alleine war, hat es gemeistert die Bar und denn Service gleichzeitig zu händeln - great job noch mal. Von der Küche war die Karte klein gehalten, was mir jedoch sehr zugesagt hat. Denn für jeden Gaumen war etwas dabei. Aufgrund der Unterbesetzung brachten die Köche ihr Gerichte selbst zu Gast. Great Team-work. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Kollegen Treffen in Esens. Trotz Tischreservierung, wussten die Angestellten von nicht's, aus diesem Grund war der Tisch für 10 Personen um 09:20 Uhr noch nicht eingedeckt. Organisatorisch ungenügend, Bedienung unorganisiert, Kaffee und Tee wurde erst bei Nachfrage nachgereicht. Angebotene Lebensmittel am Frühstücksbuffet o.k. Leider werde ich hier nicht zum Wiederholungstäter !

Wir haben nur etwas getrunken, jedoch kommen wir wieder um das Essen zu probieren.

Sorry,aber für ca.20€ erwarte ich ein angemesseneres Buffet. Gestapelte Käse -und Wursthaufen ,wo die erste schon alt war.Der Lachs lag schon in seinem Saft ,keine Beschilderung bei Marmelade ect.Keine vernünftige Brotauswahl uvm. Ein Stern für das Kinderzimmer.

Ich war das erste mal dort. Das Ambiente: Top! Habe ein fantastisches Schnitzelgericht gehabt. Einfach nur lecker. Service Top! Über ein erneutes Einkehren... da brauche ich nicht lange überlegen... gerne wieder.

Ein reichhaltiges Buffet mit allem, was man sich wünscht. Highlight ist die Pancake Maschine. Interieur gepflegt und großzügig. Kaffee, Tee, Säfte, Obst Yoghurt, Quark, Lachs, Rührei, Bacon, Ost, Nutella und sogar Ahornsirup. Es erinnerte mich an die feudalen Frühstücksbuffets bei Möwenpick in den 90ern. Aufmerksames Personal und ein Küchenchef, der weiß, was auf dem Buffet liegt. Herrlich!

War mit meinen Freundinnen spontan hier Essen. Die Karte ist zwar klein aber oho. Super lecker und absolut zu empfehlen. Das Essen war richtig lecker. Der Service war super schnell, es gab salziges Popcorn als kleines Goodie vor weg.

Wir haben nur Kaffee und Kuchen gehabt. Essen kann ich noch nicht beurteilen, aber es ist sehr gut besucht.

Super günstig gelegen, direkt neben dem Schützenplatz in Esens. Ganz hervorragende Bedienung, nett, freundlich und schnell. Frühstücksbuffet mit großer Auswahl an Brötchen, Brot, Croissants uvm. Auch größere Auswahl an Belag( Wurstsorten, Käsesorten, Marmelade) sowie Müsli und Fruchtsalat. Toll ist auch die Pancake-Maschine. Die Pancakes werden frisch zubereitet. Bin mit meiner Frau und einer Freundin dort gewesen, dies wird nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein. Ganz toll, sehr empfehlenswert! Waren heute, nach einem halben Jahr, wieder hier. Sind wieder begeistert, ganz toller Service und hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet. Werden wir wiederholen 😉
