While looking for a good restaurant, we and our group of 6 came across this quiet restaurant. We were given an outside table on this warm September evening. It was noticeable that the waitress (presumably also the owner) treated the guests, especially the older people, in a very tomboyish manner. In between, she smoked in front of the bar and threw the butts into the public drain in front of the bar. That didn't make a good impression. The dishes were all average. I treated myself to a prawn pan. The pan was served hot. The contents consisted mostly of noodles, and you could count the shrimp on two hands. When I asked whether it was a shrimp or a pasta pan, the answer was: "The cook must have forgotten something." Whether I want an ouzo or raki to balance things out. I was the only one at the table who was served a raki. We also forgot the tip when paying.

Cozy terrace in the middle of Konstanz. Good choice of excellent 'kuchen'. The Black Forest torte is especially recommended. Price was a bit on the high side.

While looking for a restaurant with classic regional cuisine, we came across the Stephanskeller restaurant. The service staff were exceptionally friendly and served us very quickly. The food was great, the schnitzel gets an A+ from me. We'd love to come back.

Rather expensive for poor quality. Ready-made sauce and a very manageable amount of meat in the sliced ​​meat. Side salad with ready-made dressing.

Hidden away and a bit away from the hustle and bustle, this restaurant offers a good ambience. You can enjoy good home cooking outdoors as well as in the dining room. Friendly staff serve the ordered dish after a short wait. The portions are generous and taste good. The price-performance ratio is also very reasonable. The small downside is that an extra €2.50 is charged for every change in the supplement to the menu.

The food is anything but not good. It's expensive, it's not fresh, salad dressing from a can, ready to go, there's no sauce and in Swabia, the land of sauce!!!, carelessly thrown onto the plate, meat (cordon bleu) is cruel. The meat is definitely frozen, the rump steak is a joke. Never in my life has 200g, as stated, been badly fried, with salad from the bucket, dressing ready to go. No thanks!!! Please don't go there, save yourself the 60 euros and go eat sensibly and deliciously.

Chicken was very dry, when I wanted to pay it took a long time. When I went in to pay, all the employees were eating together. I was then able to pay, had to pay €43.10 (for two people, it was way too expensive and wasn't actually the right price) then the employee cheekily entered the tip himself and made €45 out of it without me doing anything said (I wanted to give a cash tip afterwards, but then it was done) Very very cheeky.....incredible, I wouldn't recommend it at all....

Not recommendable ! Starter mozzarella tomato salad a joke, 8 slices of tomato 4 slices of mozzarella awesome where is that a salad for 10.90 euros! Then the zucchini pan. For 15.90 euros a mini portion and the food was very bland, the chicken curry pan looked plentiful but the portions were damn thin, but the taste of the dish was good! There are definitely better restaurants in the old town!

Service was a disaster, unfriendly and incompetent. In the end payment was only possible in cash. Canned food and or ready meals. The side dish salt was a disgrace. Even the rice was saved and a small piece of extra bread (smaller than a hand) should cost 1€. Price was quite ok for that.

Nice to sit outside. Dünnerle had nothing of the well-known traditional dish, but was a bad thin pizza. The waiter was so arrogant and unfriendly that we felt uncomfortable. When paying we found out that card payment was not possible. Not recommendable. There are definitely friendlier places with good food in Konstanz.

If the restaurant is a little out of the way, at least the food should be top. The home-bought spaetzle was swimming in a watery sauce, the meat was far dry. A pity!

Pizza? No. It was a rag from which oil flowed. Spetzle with sauce served so that half was drowned in the sauce, the other half of the plate was dry. It was not possible to mix it, because the plate was small for this. And the highlight was that you couldn't pay by card. Of course, no one warned us in advance about the non-functional terminal, so a bad lunch was followed by a sprint through the crowd and a search for a working ATM. So far my wife was sitting in the pub and no one was paying attention to her. This is an experience that you really cannot forget. We will really remember Constance with love.

We were visiting Konstanz and chose this restaurant because it was a little away from the hustle and bustle. Unfortunately we were more than disappointed, we had the grill plate and the cordon bleu. On the grill plate, the fries were so full of fat that they were sticky and inedible, the lamb tasted more like old mutton and the poultry was fried far too well and therefore completely dry. In addition, unfortunately, the kitchen doesn't seem to think much of spices and salt, except for the dried oregano that was added in large quantities to the lamb, which, by the way, wasn't even trimmed properly because the tendon was still on the back piece. The cordon bleu was edible, but honestly not anymore. Here too, the meat was far too cooked and dry and the cheese inside was absolutely tasteless. The side salad was showered with a ready-made dressing. When we were then asked if everything was OK and we told the lady that the fries were inedible and therefore remained on the plate, we were told that she had seen it immediately. So we had to ask ourselves why people bring their food to the guest like that. When the salad dressing was ready we were told that this was not true and that they had been making the dressing this way for thirteen years. I'll stick with it, you can tell it was ready. Of course, the fries were not deducted from the bill, so we paid almost €30 for a very poor grilled plate and €20 for a cordon bleu and both would have tasted better in any snack bar and would have been cheaper. Finally, I'm really sorry to say, but this was one of the worst meals we've ever been served in a restaurant. I can only advise everyone to look for something different.

Wir hatten das Lokal ausgesucht, weil es sehr ruhig und gemütlich etwas abseits des Trubels liegt. Haben den Fischteller und den Zwiebelrostbrsten mit einem Beilagensalat für stolze 7,50 Euro bestellt. Das Essen war innerhalb von 20 Minuten am Tisch. Der Geschmack war kein Erlebnis im Vergleich zu heute in Allensbach. Dafür war die Rechnung überirdisch hoch. (1 Flasche Mineralwasser für 9,50 Euro ist für ein normales Restaurant schlicht unverschämt).

Nice, rustic restaurant, unfortunately loses its effect due to many oriental accents. The restaurant was unoccupied except for two more tables at 6 p.m. Ec there are about 15-20 tables. We wanted something to drink and eat. Preferably something traditional, middle-class (Maultaschen, Spätzle...) The welcome was friendly, table for 3 went straight away. After receiving the dirty, greasy menus, we realized that this place was focused on Greek food. This wasn't obvious from the outside. In addition, schnitzel, spaetzle, pizza, pasta, etc. were offered. Not wanting to be rude, we ordered 2 soft drinks, 1 wheat beer and 2 cappuccinos. Unfortunately the latter were more milk coffees... €24.80 We told the waitress that we were sticking with drinks. A few minutes later, the lady is standing at the counter and complaining loudly about us. We should have told her that we ONLY wanted something to drink, that we were impossible and that we (the paying guests) were blocking the last table. Little reminder, 6 p.m., the place was almost empty... So while we remain seated, the lady irons out guests who are already seated and a new guest. The cheeky manner is probably meant to be friendly, but it doesn't go down well when you complain about guests. The unpleasant stay of around 25 minutes will not be repeated in this restaurant.

Quaint restaurant. Very steep stairs that lead to the restaurant. The interior is reminiscent of a knight's castle. The food was lovingly prepared and the price/performance ratio was also good. The owner managed the service well and kept an eye on everything. With 6 people we paid 173.00 for 6 main courses, a dessert and drinks

Very good middle-class cuisine, very good but not quite top quality. Not much to complain about, the meat quality could be a little better but for the price that's probably not possible. Would happily pay a little more if the meat wasn't just an 8 out of 10 but a straight 10. Gladly again.

Wir waren über Mittag dort. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Ein Herr aus Ungarn, auch sehr netter Smalltalk. Ich hatte den Zwiebelrostbraten vom Rumpsteak für ca. 28 Euro. Stolzer Preis, zahl ich auch gern, wenn es passt. Das Essen kam SEHR schnell, was mich schon wundert. Janu, die Bratkartoffeln waren nur schnell durch die Pfanne gezogen und schmeckten eher nach Kantine. Der Rostbraten war ein durchgebatenes Stück Fleisch mit Sosse und fertigen Röstzwiebeln drüber geschüttet... Geht gar nicht ! Absolutes Fertigfutter im Kantinenstyle. Es war ok, man konnte es essen,aber so etwas erwarte ich sicher nicht in einem Restaurant und schon gar nicht zu dem Preis. Salat war übrigens nicht bei dem Gericht dabei, hätte ich extra ordern müssen. Schade... Personal und Ambiente ( bis auf die schmuddeligen Toiletten) haben mir gut gefallen.

An einem sonnigen Montagabend im Spätsommer 2023, wollten meine Partnerin in der schönen Konstanzer Innenstadt gemütlich ein Bier trinken und lokale Speisen probieren. Als wir die Getränkebestellung aufgaben, wurden wir von einer derart unfreundlichen Kellnerin bedient, dass wir uns dazu entschieden, das Lokal zu verlassen. Wenn man sich die Bewertungen auf Tripadvisor so ansieht, kann man nur zu dem Schluss kommen, dass dies die richtige Entscheidung war. Ich würde 0 Sterne vergeben, wenn das ginge. Dieses Lokal ist nichts weiter als eine miserable Touristenfalle.

Situato in un’ampia piazza antistamte una fantastica chiesa offre una cucina multietnica dal buon sapore. Io personalmente ho scelto il beef pan ma ho assaggiato anche lomb pan e chicken pan. Mia figlia invece ha voluto provare un piatto di pasta al sugo che ovviamente era lontanamente simile ai nostri. Tutto sommato, personale gentile e presente, simpatico, la location ecc rendono il locale gradevole per una piacevole serata

Découvert par hasard du côté de la cathédrale, un peu à l'écart de la rue principale, nous avons été très surpris et satisfaits de ce restaurant. Service ultra rapide, petite salade de crudités servie et offerte avec les boissons par un personnel souriant. Plats copieux et appétissants. Touristes et locaux s'y côtoient pour un plat seul ou un repas complet, tarifs tout à fait compétitifs . Nous recommandons Stephenkeller !

Ein sehr Stilvolles Restaurant. Leider ist das Essen ungenießbar und es wird mit viel Fett zubereitet, somit liegt es schwer im Magen. Die Kellner waren stets bemüht..

Zwiebelrostbraten war sensationell, Bedienung freundlich, Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker! Man sitzt hier sehr gemütlich. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und das Essen kommt vor allem auch sehr zügig, auch wenn hier viel los ist. Also ich kann das Restaurant wirklich nur weiter empfehlen, so gut wie hier hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. 👍🏻👍🏻

Der Service war gut. Das Essen war leider gar nicht gut. Der Beilagensalat war der Stumpf eines Eisbergssalats, leicht braun die weißen Blätter, ohne Tomate oder Gurke. Die Soße beim Essen war super wässrig und somit hat es nicht gut geschmeckt, leider.

Wir sind durch Zufall hier vorbei gekommen und wollten das Restaurant mal ausprobieren. Draussen sitzt man schön und etwas abseits vom Getümmel. Drinnen ist alles urig, aber heimelig eingerichtet. Der erste Eindruck ist also wirklich schön. Die Speisekarte und unsere Getränke haben wir recht zügig bekommen. - Über den Tisch hätte man aber noch einmal drüber wischen können. (es langen keine Essensreste darauf, aber die Abdrücke der Gläser waren von vorhanden) Das Essen kam - zu unserer Überraschung - auch recht schnell. Wir hatten einen Salat mit Fischknusperli und die Schweinemedaillons. Der Salat war super. Mit den Medaillons waren wir etwas unzufrieden. Die Portion war reichlich und satt wurde man auf jeden Fall. Leider war das "Steakmesser", welches dazu gereicht wurde, stumpf. Die normalen Messer vom Tisch haben bedeuten besser "geschnitten". Die Rahmsosse wurde nachträglich versucht anzudicken. Und die Medaillons langen entweder fertig in einem Wärmebehälter oder wurden zu heiss gebraten. Das Fleisch war eher zäh und liess sich von einer Seite gar nicht schneiden. Das nächste Mal würde ich lieber 10 Minuten länger auf mein Essen warten, aber ein zartes Fleisch mit einer richtigen Rahmsosse serviert bekommen. Schade.

Ein rusrikales restaurant mit alten trationellen elementen. War in der gartenwirtschaft, die war okay, das pesonal freundlich und das essen gut.

Essen war gut, Bedienung sehr unfreundlich, nicht einmal wurde gefragt ob alles in ordnung wäre. Nicht empfelungswert.

Unser Weg durch Konstanz führte uns zum Stephanskeller. Wir setzten uns in den Gastraum und wurden freundlich begrüßt. Der Kellner war schnell und bemüht. Die Dame an der Theke wirkte etwas gelangweilt und brach in Ekstase aus, als ihr bekannte Gäste mit einem jungen Hund einkehrten. Dieser wurde überschwänglich begrüßt und auf dem Arm durch den Schankraum getragen. Der Schankraum selbst müsste dringend renoviert werden. Die Lampenschirme der kleinen Wandlampen waren alle angeschmorrt. Die Toiletten waren sauber aber auch dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Weder schlecht noch besonders erwähnenswert. Wir hätten uns mehr vorgestellt.

Die Gerichte waren alle lecker und frisch. Preis-Leistung ist völlig okay und der Service ist auch gut. Nur der Weg zu den Toiletten ist etwas schwierig, wenn man nicht super gut laufen kann. Aber das ist das einzige Manko.

Essen ungeniessbar Nicht weiter zu empfehlen Waren heute zum ersten und letztes Mal dort Rindfleischpfanne war so was von schlecht Nur weinige zähe mini Fleischstücke mit nicht frischem Gemüse vermischt.

Essen war sehr Lecker, aber der Kellner hatte leider nicht wirklich lust zu arbeiten. Beim Cordon Blue ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis auf jeden fall ausbau fähig.

Nettes Restaurant direkt bei der Kirche

Sehr schön gelegen und schnelle Bedienung, allerdings etwas mürrisch. Qualität des Essens war guter Durchschnitt. Wie in Tourihochburgen leider oft, sind die Preise aber etwas hoch für die Portionsgröße und die Qualität.

Essen (Rumpsteak mit Kräuterbutter) war sehr lecker. Preis -Leistungsverhältnis angebracht. Personal sehr freundlich.

Wir waren gestern Abend dort. Da draußen kein Platz mehr war, sind wir ins Restsurant hinein gegangen und haben das Restaurant fast leer vorgefunden. Nach 15 Minuten bequemte sich von den 4 Damen, die am Tisch neben dem Tresen saßen, eine Mitarbeiterin uns zu fragen ob wir schon eine Karte hätten, mit der Bemerkung es wäre sehr viel los, weil sie jetzt erst zu uns kommt. Ich konnte es mir nicht verkeifen zu sagen, das sieht ja wohl eher aus als wäre das nicht der Fall. Ohne Getränke aufzunehmen war sie wieder verschwunden. 10 Muniten später kam sie dann endlich wieder um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, aber nur die Speisen und fragte ob sie nochmal wiederkommen solle wegen den Getränken. Ich hab gedacht, wo sind wir hier nur hingeraten. Wir natürlich verneint, das uns schon sehr warm war und wir endlich ein kühlendes Getränk wollten. Getränke kamen dann auch schnell. Nachdem so einige Gäste aus dem Außenbereich ins Restaurant kamen um zu fragen was denn los sei, weil das Essen noch nicht da sei, sie würden schon sehr lange warten, eröffneten ihnen die Mitarbeiter, sie hätten keine Schuld, das Kassensystem wäre ausgefallen. Oh waren die Gäste ungehalten, denn für die Zubereitung der Speisen hat das eigentlich gar keine Auswirkungen, wenn man die Bestellungen in der Küche direkt abgibt. Auch hatten die Damen ja nichts zu tun, sovdas sie in der Küche hätten mit helfen können, aber nein die saßen lieber herum und quatschten. Nach einer guten Stunde hab ich dann, langsam ungehalten, gefragt ob das Essen heute noch kommt. Es wurde uns gesagt es wäre gleich fertig, obwohl die Dame in der vergangene Stunde nicht einmal in der Küche war. Es kam dann auch, mit zwei Mitarbeiterinnen. Ich machte die Vermerkung, na endlich. Diese Mitarbeiterin sagte darauf es liege am Kassensystem das ausgefallen wäre. Ich hab dann gesagt, oh ich wusste gar nicht dass das Kassensystem kocht und nicht der Koch. Da begann die mit mir laut zu diskutieren, ich hätte doch gar keine Ahnung wie das System funktioniert und was da alles dran hängt. Oh war ich sauer, erstens bin ich selber vom Fach und zweiten ist es ein No Go den Gästen zu sage, sie hätten nicht die geringste Ahnung. Ich war nur froh das mein Mann seinen Ärger über diese Dame herunterschluckte. Ich war dann still, da ich eigentlich bei der Kleiderordung der Mitarbeiter hätte wissen müssen, daß sie in der Gastronomie nichts zu suchen haben. Diese spezielle Mitarbeiterin trug eine graue Jogginghose und ein Topp. Als sie sich vorbeugte vielen fast die Brüsten raus und man konnte fast bis zum Bauchnabeln schauen, wäre der nicht von der Jogginghose verdeckt gewesen. Ich bin ja nun nicht gerade prüde, aber das geht nicht in einem Restaurant, wo auch noch Kinder sitzen. Das ist in einer Diskothek oder im Pfuff angebracht aber nicht in einem Restaurant wo Familien sich kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen wollen. Ziebelröstbaten mit Bratkartoffeln. Zwiebeln waren undefinierbar, einfach nur eine komische Masse in der Konsistenz. Bratkartoffeln waren in viel zu viel Öl nur kurz angebraten und dann mit dem ganzen Öl auf den Teller gekippt und völlig ungewürzt. Dafür war der Bratensud so salzig, daß man alles kaum essen konnte. Ich hatte aber Hunger und hab wenigstens , nach abkratzen des Sudes und dieser undefinierbaren Masse, das Steak gegessen. Wir waren schon mal im Stefanskeller als die alten Besitzer noch da waren und ich hatte mich riesig auf das Essen dort gefreut. Wir wussten aber leider nicht das ihn ein anderer Besitzer übernommen hat und das von den Gerichten bis zu. Service nichts mehr dort stimmt, zumal die Preise auch ganz schön happig sind. Der Besitzer erwartete sogar noch ein üppiges Trinkgeld, als ich mir auf den Cent genau rausgeben lassen habe, nach dem Ganzen was wir unfreiwillig erleben mussten.Eine Entschuldigung für das ganze Desaster kam natürlich nicht. Unglaublich... Da kann man nur noch sagen, vielen Dank für den völlig verdorbenen Abend und wir kommen nie wieder.

Typical restaurant with generous portion and good food. Staff was kind and friendly. Nice location and typical decoration ! We really did appreciate our time :) Spatzles were not home made which could be a little plus ! Staff was also screaming from the two ends of the room 😅 a bit loud especially when the room was not full and loud.

Ein Stern ist noch zuviel. Sehr lange auf die Getränke,dann auf das Essen gewartet . Die Spargel ungenießbar, die Kartoffeln kalt.. Als wir dann bezahlen wollten,kam dann nach 30 Min ein Kellner. Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt.. Sehr frech ,und unfreundlich. Dieses Lokal ist nicht zu empfehlen .

Als Konstanzer waren wir zum ersten Mal seit 40 Jahren wieder mal im Stefanskeller. Unsauberes Geschirr, schmuddelig, schlechtes Essen… So etwas sollte es in Konstanz nicht geben!

Op rondrit om de Bodensee twee keer in Konstanz overnacht. De eerste avond hier gezellig wat gedronken met koude voorgerechten, en nu hier terug gekomen om te eten. Heerlijke rundvlees curry pan gecombineerd met dezelfde koude voorgerechten. Een aanrader. Restaurant ligt wat verscholen achter de St. Stephanskirche, heeft veel rust en ruimte. Erg prettige eigenaar.
