The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I would definitely go there again.

We were extremely satisfied, it was the best gyros and baby calamari I have ever eaten!!

The food here is generally very good, but this Saturday it wasn't like usual, and the wait times were outrageous. A cold appetizer (simple tzatziki) only arrived after 75 minutes, and without bread. The main course took an hour and 37 minutes. To make matters worse, the food wasn't quite cooked through; the fish was still slightly translucent inside and not entirely hot. The gyros we ordered could have used a few more minutes and wasn't crispy enough. I sincerely hope this was just a fluke; we've always enjoyed coming here, and the food has always been delicious.

The farmer's salad, which cost an extra €2.50 and consisted of one olive, one pepperoni, and a small piece of feta cheese alongside plenty of tomatoes and cucumbers, was not worth it. The waiter claimed there were also potatoes to accompany the pike-perch, but they weren't on my plate. When I asked about them, he said the vegetables were fine, though. The food was okay, and the price reflected that. I wouldn't go back.

What can I say? A top-notch Greek restaurant. The service is incredibly friendly, not at all forced, just genuinely kind. The mussels appetizer arrived with a small salad. Unexpected, but delicious. The main course was superb, a bit too much for me, but I wasn't the only one packing up the leftovers to take away. I'll definitely be back, and anyone who enjoys good Greek food with a solid, but not overwhelming, menu simply must go here!

The food and service were amazing...what bothered me was the noise level.

We spontaneously went there with the kids after the movies. It was our first time. We ordered two kids' gyros with fries and a saganaki. According to the menu, mixed salads were supposed to accompany the kids' meals, but they were no longer available. We were only told this when the food arrived. We still had to pay the full price listed on the menu. The saganaki tasted good. The gyros was barely seasoned. The fries weren't even salted. The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice. However, we won't be coming back. There are better Greek restaurants in LA.

My wife and I went there for lunch today, and what can I say? It was amazing! We both had gyros with rice and tzatziki. My wife had it with pita bread, and I had it with salad. To our surprise, we were served a small bowl of soup to start (potato soup that tasted sensational), and for dessert, a small bowl of semolina with strawberry sauce. We also had two ouzos. The main course was delicious and the portion was generous. The staff was fantastic—attentive and made us feel valued as guests. The ambiance wasn't your typical Greek restaurant; it was more modern and clean, yet very cozy. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, and if we didn't live 50 kilometers away, it would be our regular Greek restaurant from now on.

I've been here many times now, and the food has always been excellent. The meat is cooked to perfection, the sauces are delicious, the portions are a good size, and the price is reasonable. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and very efficient. In my opinion, it's the best choice for Greek food in Landshut. Highly recommended.

Food was good. Our reservation and order were handled chaotically, probably due to the large number of guests. Staff tried hard but were unprofessional. The wine was too warm, and chairs in one part of the restaurant were stacked up around 10 pm – and this was a Saturday night!

Great praise! We came from Nuremberg and were greeted so warmly and even got a table for four people. The food was plentiful and simply amazing, the service was top-notch, everything was just perfect, we felt very comfortable.

I visited the Sokrates restaurant in Landshut and was absolutely thrilled! The food was freshly prepared, authentic, and delicious. The grilled meat, in particular, was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful—accompanied by crispy onion rings, delicious tzatziki, and wonderfully seasoned tomato rice. Hello 🙋🏽‍♂️ Unfortunately, a very rude employee…..🙈 This will be my first very bad review.🫤 I had a reservation for 5 people in the beer garden. It was also confirmed via email. 😊👍🏽 (see photo) When we arrived, I said I had a reservation in the beer garden because the weather was nice and we had a dog with us. The employee immediately told us we couldn't sit outside and weren't allowed in with our dog. We weren't given a reason when we asked... In such nice weather, we didn't want to go in anyway! So we went right next door to the nice, delicious Italian restaurant 🇮🇹, where I'd never eaten before! There we were allowed to sit outside right on the Isar River with a great view. See photos in the review: Café Freiraum! 😊👍🏽 It's a shame that things turned out this way for the restaurant. We won't be back! The incident is spreading, even with five people turned away. But we've gained another delicious restaurant where we'll be happy to go now.

I went there with a friend for a dinner and had a wonderful time! The atmosphere so pleasant, the service warm and trustworthy, the food magnificent. We had a perfect dry white wine with food. I also need to mention our wonderful waiter Janez (I hope I spelled it right).

I'm writing another review because the restaurant has requested that my review be removed for defamation. There is no defamation; this was simply my experience. If the chef, the microwave, and the employees at Sokrates are under stress, that's not my fault. Perhaps the restaurant is trying to get rid of the bad reviews by filing a defamation strike on Google to get more 4+ reviews. I paid money, and the food at Sokrates was truly terrible. A restaurant with absolutely no integrity. If someone writes a bad review, they should first try to improve, and then they can always ask us to come back and check out the restaurant and write a better review. But that's what an adult would do, not you. My review again: Most of the things we order came cold and oily. I know Greek love oil, but I didn't ask for potatoes dipped in oil. Every 2 minutes someone was asking if everything was good? Ok one or two times but after the third time it's getting boring. The staff was running left and right for some reason. I guess the boss has asked them to move in the restaurant to look like there is movement but it's getting strange when you see it first hand.

We were at Socrates for the second time within a week and it was unique again. The food was super good, the service was excellent and the friendliness was excellent. You definitely gained 2 new regular guests!😁

We are now satisfied regular guests and have been there countless times. The food was excellent across the board and the people were super friendly and very attentive. What more could you want? :-) Update: after numerous visits, it's now my favorite Greek place in LA. A real insider tip are the pork medallions in orange sauce or the dishes with Metaxa sauce. Update 2: The extension, which now has direct access to the outside area, has become really beautiful.

Basically okay. The chicken breast fillet was a little too salty, unfortunately there were no vegetable side dishes (it doesn't say otherwise on the menu), but the mustard sauce was good. The salmon fillet was also a bit too salty and unfortunately a bit burnt. At the end we were asked if we would like some more ouzo, but it was never brought. In terms of taste and ambience, it doesn't come close to the gold standard in the old town.

Food was very tasty, we didn't have to wait long, service was very friendly and competent. I definitely recommend it. The team also handles larger groups perfectly.

Great food at a reasonable price. Very attentive, courteous service. The desert with a hair on it was returned without any problems, the replacement arrived promptly and in a good mood. The ambience only manages 4 stars because it gets very loud when the tables are all occupied. Nevertheless: clear recommendation!

There was an ouzu on the house straight away. We both had gyros with side dishes. It had a very good taste and was well cooked, just as it should be. When I ordered extra tzatziki, it was also on the house. At the end we also got an espresso. We were really very satisfied! Thank you for the great evening! Keep it up!
