Despite having a reservation, I was denied entry. I was 10 minutes late due to highway roadworks, yet I was shown no understanding. Turning a customer away for such a minor delay is truly awful. I was completely dissatisfied with the service and will never choose this place again.

The Schwarze Meer Restaurant is an absolute insider tip in Düsseldorf! Everything is super clean, freshly prepared, and completely free of additives. A truly excellent Turkish restaurant – and that's quite rare at this level. If you want authentic food, you should definitely try it! And the value for money is top-notch. We love coming here.

The food was okay but nothing special. Our waiter was very unpleasant and unfriendly to us; we didn't feel welcome. They charged us without bringing us a bill. Two meals and two waters cost 55 euros?

The entire staff in the restaurant were VERY distant, disinterested in the customers, almost emotionless (despite being of Turkish background!). This was the first time in my life that I had experienced such a cold atmosphere in a Turkish setting. Even though the restaurant itself is already quite cozy (just the decor!), the staff ruined any remaining good impression. I don't understand how anyone can run a place like this?! There's very little space - for chairs, tables, and people; you're usually assigned a small table (normally for 2 people) for 4-5 people (although there are often larger free tables next to it?! These are probably reserved for VIPs..?!) The food is OK, but definitely not up to par when you call yourself "fine dining" (with the prices there!)!

Last week, I went to the Schwarzes Meer restaurant with my girlfriend – and I have to say: it was an absolute highlight! I've rarely seen such a lovingly decorated restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you notice that someone has put a lot of heart and style into this place. Small details everywhere, beautiful accessories – you immediately feel at home. The service was absolutely pleasant. Unobtrusive, but super friendly and attentive. Not intrusive, just right. Simply pleasant. And now for the most important thing: the food. After my dental surgery, I had promised myself that when I could really bite again, I would treat myself to something proper. And that's exactly what I did: 300 grams of beef fillet, perfectly cooked, super tender, full of flavor – a poem! My girlfriend had four lamb shanks! And what can I say? Also a dream. Buttery soft, flavorful, simply perfectly done. Yes, the whole thing wasn't cheap – the two of us paid about 120 euros for the meal – but honestly: worth every cent. If you're sitting somewhere, feeling completely comfortable, and the food truly makes you happy, then that's exactly what you're happy to pay for. Conclusion: For me, this is clearly one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. If you appreciate good food, a beautiful ambiance, and genuine hospitality, this is the place for you.

Today, I visited this place with a friend. Unfortunately, both the food and the service were among the worst I’ve experienced recently. The seafood salad we ordered was so bad that it was practically inedible. The grilled chicken that came afterward was undercooked — the inside was still red and raw. We had to send it back, and they brought it back after cooking it again. The side mezes served with the meal were also extremely bland and tasteless. I was truly surprised to find such low-quality appetizers at a place like this. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant and will not be coming back.

Delicious Turkish breakfast. The staff were very friendly, and the tea bar, where you could always get fresh black tea, was a particular highlight. For those going as a group, I recommend sharing the liquid cheese in the middle, as it was a tasty treat in itself. The ambiance was also inviting, and it was beautifully furnished and decorated.

If you're looking for a real breakfast highlight in Düsseldorf, you definitely shouldn't miss the Black Sea. I had the pleasure of having breakfast there today – and what can I say? It was simply excellent, super, outstanding! From kuymak (creamy, cheesy, served hot!) to kavurmalı yumurta (tender meat with perfectly cooked eggs), kaymak with honey and homemade jams - everything was on point, authentic and prepared with love. Fresh, rich and absolutely filling. Many of the well-known breakfast spots in Düsseldorf are hip, but are nowhere near this level. If you want to have a real and hearty breakfast - without ChiChi, but with full enjoyment - this is the right place for you. A real insider tip and absolute hotspot for breakfast lovers! I'll definitely come back.

Fantastic!! My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time this afternoon and it was excellent: from the quality of the food, to the ambience, to the service!! We had two dishes from the lunch menu and an appetizer. In advance we were given fresh, fluffy bread and a delicious, light garlic-mint cream (not boring herb butter like you get everywhere else). Honestly - it was one of the best restaurant experiences in a long time. We'll definitely be back 🥰🫶🏼

This restaurant is a joke the only good thing is the decoration so do not go there for the price or the food. The grill in the menu needs to be removed! The Adana kebap was dry, no salad and a cup of rice. We also took the iskender this has nothing to do with ISKENDER. Iskender kebap is made from Kebap meat not sliced beef. I am glad they didn't ask how the food was.

The food, atmosphere and service are very good. The food is very delicious. The price is between 25-30 euros per person. It's pretty good for dinner. The only disadvantage is that it is on the roadside, so the restaurant does not have any view. But the interior ambiance is very good.

Good Restaurant with some disrespectful staff! went to the restaurant on 5.10.2025. At 12:30 hrs and had breakfast with tea. The servers were really nice and the food was good. We had amazing tea. Since we really liked the tea. We decided to go back to the restaurant at 18:30 again for tea and some dessert. The staff had changed. After we ordered 2 cups of tea the waitress went back to another staff member and they started to make faces at us from behind the food counter. Then the male staff came to our table and asked us to leave saying “we aren’t a cafe”. This was such a bad customer service, because the same could have been communicated to us politely and by the first person who was taking the order (our first contact) and making faces at us and being disrespectful by kicking us out and treating us poorly is not something I expected from a restaurant that is rated with the best reviews.

We just ate there. We ordered two lentil soups that tasted like cold water. The soups have nothing to do with Mercimec. We also ordered two beheaded noodles with rice. I really enjoy eating there, but I can't afford the opportunity to eat for two people, we're full, nothing comes, even though there were still a few tables available, supposedly reserved. Discovered this Turkish restaurant with a work colleague in the middle of Ramadan. We reserved a table and arrived 10 minutes late but well received. The welcome is very warm and the service attentive. I was tempted by a chicken salad as a starter (TAVUK SALATA) and a 300g beef steak (MANTAR SOSLU BIFTEK) as a main course.... a real delight and above all hearty... we finished with a Turkish tea... a treat from start to finish...

It is a restaurant that does not take reservations, but on your second try, even though we went by making a reservation, we were told that it was a mistake and they made excuses to not accept it, there was no apology, we did not understand it at all, this attitude did not suit us at all, it is a complete disappointment, I hope the owner will look into this issue and take the necessary precautions. Because if this can be done to an average family like us, it seems like it can be done to everyone. As long as the tall gentleman who greets us at the door is there, we don't plan on going there.

The ambience of the restaurant is nice but the prices in Ortsmitte are small and above average. We made a reservation at 14:00. We were told that our reservation time had expired around 6 and we had to get up. If it had been said politely, it would have been understandable, but the Restaurant Owner was not polite. I do not recommend it to anyone.
