Restaurant Schwarzes Meer in Düsseldorf

I'm quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, and even though it was a month ago, I still have to leave a review. The price-performance ratio is completely off; it's really overpriced for Turkish cuisine. As the evening wore on, the service became increasingly unfriendly, and the bill was simply slammed down on the table. The female server, in particular, seemed very stressed and annoyed. I'm also used to being asked if I'd like more tea while the table is being cleared; there was a lot of tea gone, and then I didn't want any more tea after seeing how unfriendly the server was. Overall, I missed the Turkish hospitality; I've even had better meals in Berlin with truly wonderful staff.

A wonderful discovery in Düsseldorf! Authentic Turkish food, a warm and friendly atmosphere. They found us a table even though we didn't have a reservation, and the staff were very friendly. We were truly delighted. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in Düsseldorf.

We did not know what to expect for breakfast, as we were tagging along with a promise of something new and wonderful. The experience exceeded our expectations, the serve yourself black tea was so delicious, we kept going back for more. The Kuymac, or as I am now referring to it as a deconstructed Kenefe was just amazing. The melted cheese that you layer on this perfect slice of bread, adding honey and cherry jam, an ensemble made in heaven. The breakfast menu is extensive and the omelets we ordered were great, but the Kuymac is what I will order again and again. The service was excellent as well, kept out bread basket full with out us asking. An amazing experience overall!

An exceptionally beautiful restaurant – near the main train station. Always very fresh fish and seafood. I love the meze. One of my favorite restaurateurs rates the lamb chops as the best in the city! The owner visits guests at their tables, a friendly glance, an interested question… a truly welcoming restaurant!

Perfect food, perfect ambience, superb service.

I went there for dinner with a friend. The food tasted good, although the portions were quite small for a relatively expensive restaurant. However, the real reason for the poor rating is the way we paid. The bill was brought to us in an envelope, and we put the amount in it—with enough money to get change back. Instead of returning the change, the waiter simply walked past our table, said "Thank you," and kept the entire remaining balance without asking. Especially in a fine-dining restaurant, you expect your change to always be returned, and you decide how much to tip. We found this behavior unprofessional and very disappointing. For this reason, we would not recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderfully pleasant evening at the Black Sea Restaurant in Düsseldorf. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, accompanied by pleasant background music. The service was professional, attentive, and unobtrusive. The food—especially the fish dishes—was superbly prepared and so authentic in flavor that you felt more like you were in the Turkish Black Sea region than in Düsseldorf. From the appetizers to the hot drinks, everything was perfectly coordinated. We had absolutely no complaints and highly recommend this restaurant. It's a place we will definitely visit again.

A very stylish restaurant in Düsseldorf. The setting is very nice and well-decorated; the atmosphere definitely deserves 5 stars. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but the service is very slow. We ordered soup ahead of time. My friend and I deliberated with good intentions about why such a soup would be served so late. Although the place wasn't overly crowded, the soup arrived quite late. While we were hoping for regional Black Sea cuisine at a restaurant named after the Black Sea region and whose owners are from the Black Sea region, perhaps even Trabzon, we found the menu to feature mostly meat and grilled dishes. When we saw it on the menu, we decided to try the cabbage sarma (stuffed cabbage), but the meatless white cabbage sarma shocked us. Everyone knows it should be the meat-filled kale sarma (stuffed cabbage). I asked, "What's the matter, brother?" he said, "Our concept is Mediterranean cuisine. This is also surprising. My point is, don't be fooled by the name and expect Black Sea cuisine." There were two of us, and we paid €96 for the Highliter fish soup, which was perfectly worth it. I won't even mention the baklava. In short, you pay a high price for a very elegant venue, but for very mediocre food. Would I come again? Yes, just for the fish soup.

Breakfast at a Turkish restaurant was very disappointing. Instead of freshly baked bread, they served pre-baked baguettes (like the kind you get at Kaufland). They couldn't serve simit because it was supposedly delivered later. And I arrived around 10 a.m., which isn't exactly early for breakfast. Oddly enough, this was the second time they hadn't served simit in the morning. The mushroom and pepper stir-fry was very poorly seasoned. The feta cheese, olives, etc., were all from a can. The whole breakfast tasted of nothing. I don't think they know what spices are. My advice: drive a bit further to Boname. Even though it's a chain, they serve a breakfast that's a hundred times better.

We can say that it was the most beautiful and coolest place we've visited in Europe. The staff was very attentive and courteous. The menu focuses primarily on seafood. We tried the anchovies and butter shrimp, and both were fantastic. We highly recommend it.

A restaurant run by a high-quality Turkish owner, it serves fried anchovies, a delicious arugula salad, delicious tea from a copper samovar, and excellent Turkish coffee. Note: I believe the anchovies, which were initially advertised as Black Sea anchovies, were actually sold to the restaurant as originating from the Black Sea.

Dividing the food into food, service, and ambiance is difficult. My main criterion is whether it's suitable for vegans. And if there's no vegan main course on the menu, that's basically 0 stars. The "fried potatoes" were vegan, though, and there was hummus, which was really good. + The service was also good. Therefore, I'm giving it an extra star, even though the standard that should apply these days (a vegan main course on the menu) isn't met.

A terrible restaurant and impolite manager that literally told us to go outside because we didn’t want to set upstairs as the restaurant , they are totally aggressive and zero hospitality and he literally went to fight with us and i don’t recommend any one to go there.

Despite having a reservation, I was denied entry. I was 10 minutes late due to highway roadworks, yet I was shown no understanding. Turning a customer away for such a minor delay is truly awful. I was completely dissatisfied with the service and will never choose this place again.

The Schwarze Meer Restaurant is an absolute insider tip in Düsseldorf! Everything is super clean, freshly prepared, and completely free of additives. A truly excellent Turkish restaurant – and that's quite rare at this level. If you want authentic food, you should definitely try it! And the value for money is top-notch. We love coming here.

The entire staff in the restaurant were VERY distant, disinterested in the customers, almost emotionless (despite being of Turkish background!). This was the first time in my life that I had experienced such a cold atmosphere in a Turkish setting. Even though the restaurant itself is already quite cozy (just the decor!), the staff ruined any remaining good impression. I don't understand how anyone can run a place like this?! There's very little space - for chairs, tables, and people; you're usually assigned a small table (normally for 2 people) for 4-5 people (although there are often larger free tables next to it?! These are probably reserved for VIPs..?!) The food is OK, but definitely not up to par when you call yourself "fine dining" (with the prices there!)!

Last week, I went to the Schwarzes Meer restaurant with my girlfriend – and I have to say: it was an absolute highlight! I've rarely seen such a lovingly decorated restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you notice that someone has put a lot of heart and style into this place. Small details everywhere, beautiful accessories – you immediately feel at home. The service was absolutely pleasant. Unobtrusive, but super friendly and attentive. Not intrusive, just right. Simply pleasant. And now for the most important thing: the food. After my dental surgery, I had promised myself that when I could really bite again, I would treat myself to something proper. And that's exactly what I did: 300 grams of beef fillet, perfectly cooked, super tender, full of flavor – a poem! My girlfriend had four lamb shanks! And what can I say? Also a dream. Buttery soft, flavorful, simply perfectly done. Yes, the whole thing wasn't cheap – the two of us paid about 120 euros for the meal – but honestly: worth every cent. If you're sitting somewhere, feeling completely comfortable, and the food truly makes you happy, then that's exactly what you're happy to pay for. Conclusion: For me, this is clearly one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. If you appreciate good food, a beautiful ambiance, and genuine hospitality, this is the place for you.

Today, I visited this place with a friend. Unfortunately, both the food and the service were among the worst I’ve experienced recently. The seafood salad we ordered was so bad that it was practically inedible. The grilled chicken that came afterward was undercooked — the inside was still red and raw. We had to send it back, and they brought it back after cooking it again. The side mezes served with the meal were also extremely bland and tasteless. I was truly surprised to find such low-quality appetizers at a place like this. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant and will not be coming back.

Delicious Turkish breakfast. The staff were very friendly, and the tea bar, where you could always get fresh black tea, was a particular highlight. For those going as a group, I recommend sharing the liquid cheese in the middle, as it was a tasty treat in itself. The ambiance was also inviting, and it was beautifully furnished and decorated.
