A perfect restaurant for a good dinner, with excellent service. The only downside is that you can eat but also smoke in the pergola that connects to the main dining room, which I didn't like at all. Otherwise, a restaurant I will definitely return to.

Well, what can I say? A typical restaurant in the Media Harbour. The service was overly friendly, the reservation was mixed up, the music was simply too loud for a restaurant like this, and the prices were outrageously expensive. On top of that, our bill included items we hadn't paid for, so check your bill before you pay. Not recommended.

Very long wait - main course was served after 80 minutes.

We went to Bocconcino in Düsseldorf to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. We waited an hour and a half for our food, while guests who arrived after us had already finished their meals and left. During that entire time, no waiter came to our table, no one checked on us, and no one informed us why it was taking so long. After waiting for an hour and a half, we finally got up and left without having eaten anything. It was a real shame – we had really been looking forward to a nice evening.

Run-of-the-mill food at fine-dining prices! We ordered a Margherita pizza, supposedly Neapolitan, for €13.90. No San Marzano tomatoes, no Fior di Latte, not even a fresh basil leaf. The Parma pizza was €27 (!!) – these prices simply don't match what's offered. There were six of us, and we paid around €250 in total. Everyone only had one drink! One of my friends ordered tortellini with a goat cheese, pear, and walnut filling – €25 for three small tortellini. The portion was more like a small appetizer. We also ordered truffle pasta twice: nicely presented in a cheese crust, but even for two petite women, it was too little and not filling. Furthermore, we had the Bocconcino salad for €17 – basically a pile of green salad with a few strips of untreated feta cheese in a mango dressing. Standard fare and definitely not worth €17. All in all: an absolutely unacceptable price-performance ratio. They advertise with "models & stars" on Instagram and lure customers with their great location – but the restaurant itself can't live up to the online image. For us, it was definitely our first and last visit. I would honestly advise everyone against going to this place. If you want to post a nice Instagram story, you'll get your money's worth (though these stories are very expensive), but if you're looking for a culinary experience, this is the wrong place.

Very good food and friendly service!

The food was okay, but smoking was permitted throughout our entire visit in a completely enclosed and covered area. This was very unpleasant and actually constitutes a violation of public order, as smoking is prohibited in such areas according to the North Rhine-Westphalia Non-Smokers' Protection Act. Furthermore, the food was far too expensive for what it offered. Overall, unfortunately, not a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The service left much to be desired. During my visit, a loud argument broke out between two people in the restaurant, which escalated considerably and ended with insults being exchanged. The altercation lasted for over an hour. The staff was repeatedly asked to intervene or calm the situation, but they neither reacted nor attempted to do anything. When I finally pointed out politely that such an incident was very disruptive and reflected poorly on the restaurant, I received the unfriendly response that I should leave and not return – completely unprofessional. In addition, my drink was forgotten when I ordered it and only arrived after I asked several times. The food itself was tasty, which somewhat redeemed the overall impression. However, the music was far too loud, making conversation nearly impossible. It's a shame; with better service and more respect for the guests, the evening could have been very pleasant.

I would have liked to eat the meal based on recommendations, but unfortunately, the very poor service ruined my appetite! I ordered five drinks, four arrived, and after repeated requests, I ended up getting the last one myself from the bar. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and the main course, and within two hours, only the drinks (as described above) were brought to us. A bread basket was served. When we asked if butter could be served with it, we were told no, it wasn't possible. After a long wait, the main course was served before the appetizer, to our incredible surprise. Mistakes can happen, but no apology or anything similar was communicated. We then left the restaurant, and when it came to the check (the full amount was charged!), the server suddenly became quick and was able to issue the bill promptly. It's a real shame; I would have liked to write something positive, but unfortunately, it's not possible due to the abysmal service.

Delicious food, nice decor, and professional service. I recommend the lamb and steaks. The only downside is that a glass of wine is served immediately without the guest having tried it first, which is a minor shortcoming in a restaurant of this caliber.

The three of us were here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pleasantly empty. Despite the empty restaurant, the food took a while to arrive, which Kellener said was due to the shift change, but the taste was excellent. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately, completely disorganized: We ordered more dip and olives to go with our appetizer bread, but even when the food arrived, it still wasn't there. We had to ask for a second round of drinks three times before they finally arrived. There was no steak knife for the steak, and after we asked twice for the bill, the waiter came over and said he couldn't find our table in the system and asked if we could tell him again what we had eaten so he could find the bill. It was all supposedly due to the shift change; we didn't even get an espresso or anything else on the house, as one would expect in a restaurant like this.

The food was delicious, the food was excellent. We had bruschetta as an appetizer, followed by pizza, and they also offered us some very fresh fish. The waiters were all very nice and friendly, especially Lello, who recommended other Italian restaurants in the city. We'll definitely be back!

We went on Saturday midday for lunch and it was practically empty - only 2 other tables ocupied during the time we where there - so it was very pleasant. Lello was our waiter and he was very friendly and professional. The food is amazing. Has to be the best steak I've had in Düsseldorf so far. It is quite pricy though, more towards the expensive side. You have underground parking at the end of the road about 3 min walk from the restaurant.

I don't understand the restaurant's rating. Indecent prices, mediocre service, but the worst part was the music, which blared at 200 decibels in our ears with techno, unbearable. They haven't figured out their concept yet, apart from exorbitant prices and loud music. When I asked the waiter if there was anything he could do about the noise, he curtly replied that it was their Saturday night "concept" and that we should inquire beforehand. Really nice guy. We went to Bocconcino yesterday and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we didn't feel welcome. The place was almost empty, yet the staff seemed listless and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome the entire time. Instead of a warm welcome, there was a cold, tense atmosphere – you felt watched and out of place. The food was also nothing special and couldn't salve the negative impression. We haven't felt as uncomfortable in a restaurant as we did there in a long time. We didn't even finish our food and were just glad to be outside. Summary: Absolutely unpleasant, no hospitality, no atmosphere, no reason to return. Never again.

We spent €200 on food and drinks, and I can certainly "expect" appropriate service. It could definitely be better.

Excellent Italian restaurant on the banks of the Rhine River. The pizzas were delicious. We tried the steak tartare, which was very juicy, and the vitelo tonatto was very good. The service was very attentive.

We came all the way from Austria and wanted to eat the €78 steak and treat ourselves to a great evening, and we would have spent a lot of money there, but the bouncer wouldn't let us in, arguing that we'd had too much to drink, even though we were just tired from the long train ride. I can't recommend this sleazy restaurant to anyone. We've never had anything like this happen to us before, and we want to protect others from having a similar experience. We'll go somewhere else for steak!

The restaurant is located in a rather soulless spot in HafenCity. The really bad pop music doesn't help either. I can't recommend the risotto; it was pretty tasteless. The overall experience was just rather disappointing, especially for the price...

The location is very good, the food is actually good, although there's room for improvement – BUT the music is way too loud and the service is less than okay. If regulars and friends of the establishment count more than 'regular' guests, then there won't be any new regulars. In Switzerland 🇨🇭, something like that wouldn't stand a chance – what a shame!

Unfortunately, on our last visit (on a Monday evening), we had a less than satisfactory experience with the service: The processes seemed disorganized, and everything took significantly longer than would be appropriate, even for a relaxed evening. Orders were confused with those of the neighboring table, and two dishes were initially forgotten altogether. The announced "few minutes" turned into a wait of over 30 minutes. Since we generally appreciate the restaurant, we're hoping for a slip-up and, with a bit of a qualm, are awarding it three stars.

Unfortunately, the service was unsatisfactory – the male waiter in particular seemed unfriendly and unwelcoming. When it came to paying, we were greeted very rudely with a "Come on, come on, next!" even though the person in front of us hadn't even put their card away and we were standing directly behind them. The table wasn't cleared away, and we were expected to put the starter plates away (?) and take the food and place it ourselves if we weren't sitting on the right side. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. For the price, I would have expected much more. The risotto was bland in flavor, not sloppy, not creamy. The fillet tips were placed on top, not dressed, not dressed. I'd say anyone could do it better at home. When I pointed out that the risotto lacked flavor, the kitchen responded that the recipe was as it is. For €30, this is unfortunately inadequate and incomprehensible.

A true highlight in the Media Harbor! We were completely impressed by Bocconcino – from the stylish atmosphere to the excellent service. The Italian cuisine is authentic and of a very high standard: fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The homemade pasta dishes and the selection of antipasti are particularly recommended. The wine was also expertly recommended and matched perfectly. If you love Italian cuisine, this is the place for you – we'll definitely be back!

Main courses – unfortunately disappointing First of all: When we ordered, the place was still relatively empty. We unfortunately had to wait a very long time for our main courses. Guests at neighboring tables, who arrived significantly after us, received their food before us – some were even finished while we were still waiting. Despite repeated promises like "The food will be right there," it took a very long time before it was finally served. Unfortunately, the food wasn't really hot by then. The truffle pizza with arugula was particularly disappointing: It arrived lukewarm – and without arugula. There were also only 4-5 very small slices of truffle on it. That's too few for the price. When we asked about the missing arugula, it took another 10 minutes before we were told that "arugula isn't on the menu" – and then shown the English menu. However, arugula is definitely listed on the German menu. After waiting for almost two hours, this is hard to understand – especially in a restaurant of this price range. Service should be good. And if such delays occur, it would have been nice if they had at least responded with some kind of concession afterwards. Unfortunately, we had to pay the full amount. A small compensation – be it a dessert, a drink, or a small discount – would have made a real difference in this situation. It's a real shame.

Unfortunately, smoking is allowed indoors. A no-go! There are also people standing around here and there, like bodyguards, which doesn't create a cozy atmosphere. The main course came so quickly that we hadn't even finished the appetizer. Also, parts of our order were missing. All in all, not particularly attentive. Conclusion: The food is delicious, but they place more emphasis on a great Instagram picture than on actual service.

Food is alright. But the service is really something. I received a large coke instead of a small one and a different order than what I asked. When I confronted the personnel they basically just shrugged it off. They could have at least apologised for mixing it up? My colleague also asked for more salad than potatoes as a side dish, instead she received much more potatoes than salad. First and last time I come here.

If you order pasta from you on Uber Eats, please include a few small side dishes such as parmesan or baguette bread. I'm not talking about a whole baguette, I'm talking about 2-3 slices. This is actually normal for all other Italians. You only deliver pure pasta, nothing else. For prices around 30 euros, that's definitely not enough. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about in terms of taste. The food is good. The only thing that annoys me is your policy that you charge 30 euros for pasta and then charge extra money for baguette bread. Nobody does that, just you.

Very nice atmosphere but unfortunately disappointing cuisine and service. Today I had a dinner date with a group of 8 people. The prices on the menu promised good quality and service. I had the fettucine with beef fillet tips, mushrooms and creamy sauce. The pasta was just aldente and the fillet tips were very tough and dry. My friends had similar problems with small portions, for example a salmon fillet with soar gel and 4 small boiled potatoes, or a risotto with half a sliced ​​asparagus stalk. 2 dishes came late, one of which was wrong and the other didn't come at all and was only prepared after we asked. It's really a shame that this restaurant is so disappointing.

A visit to this upscale Italian restaurant was a real highlight. The pasta with truffle was simply outstanding – cooked perfectly al dente and refined with an intense but wonderfully balanced truffle flavor. The recommended Lugana went perfectly with this; a fresh, elegant wine that perfectly complemented the dish. Both food and wine were of excellent quality. A clear recommendation.

The ambience seemed nice at first glance, but when the live musician started singing, it was so loud that it was almost impossible to hold a conversation - almost uncomfortable.
