Restaurant Schliffkopf in Baiersbronn

Absolutely underground service! Tuesday, 3:30 p.m., fancy coffee and cake... the door to the restaurant is locked, asked the lady at the reception for coffee etc., received a stupid answer, there was something in the bar... There: no one to be found, in the hope that someone will come, they sit down and wait... on the terrace an employee - probably the bar manager - is walking up and down on the phone. The lady is not at all interested in the fact that customers are waiting! We left after waiting 15 minutes. Conclusion: With this understanding of the customer, every restaurant is doomed. The next Lost Place is coming. Thanks for nothing. P.S.: if the lady on the phone had been looking for something to do - she could have also cleaned the bar floor - the peanuts on the floor don't exactly indicate excessive cleanliness.

What incredibly poorly motivated staff. Wait half an hour on the terrace and ask twice if someone is coming to serve you. Eating a la carte is only possible between 12 noon and 3 pm.

Bad experience. Poor food. I would not recommend Wiener schnitzel. Thin, small meat piece for 29.5e. Pina colada for 8.5e is just water with syrup, no any taste of cocos or ananas. Espresso cold, poor quality. I know now why this restaurant rate is 3.4.

We came to Schliffkopf after a hike and were very, very dissatisfied. The service was not satisfactory and the food (Flädlesuppe and the soup of the day (it was supposed to be a tomato soup)) was more than bad.

The flammkuchen I enjoyed was truly exceptional, among the best I've ever tasted. Likewise, indulging in a Black Forest gateau amidst the serene beauty of the Black Forest was a delightful experience. Nonetheless, the service was a tad slow, necessitating a touch of patience.

The food was super tasty and fine. We can't understand the bad reviews, we've been there twice within six months and can easily imagine going back a third time. Breakfast consists of a simple but tasty buffet. Here we focus on quality rather than quantity. Why have a whole room full of buffets for breakfast that only taste mediocre? We value good quality and you can find it here. For dinner there is a salad buffet, a la carte starter soup, the main course is either a meat, fish or a vegetarian dish, and at the end there is a dessert, and it tasted great. The waiters are on the ball, friendly and well organized. We had the same table throughout our stay and that was absolutely fine with us.

Enough staff, hardly any guests. You should expect decent service. Unfortunately this is not available in the restaurant. Had over-salted venison goulash. You can look for the side dish (mini croquettes) with a magnifying glass, there was no salad. Coffee was served lukewarm, cake selection on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.: only Black Forest cake. The ambience is like that, modern is something else.

Disastrous service, it's not my habit to leave a bad comment but here I couldn't leave nothing. When we arrived no one said hello to us, when we were finally seated we waited 30 minutes without anyone taking care of us, the waitresses looked at us but not once did they come, they had time to redo all the tables around us without even thinking of giving us the menu, we ended up serving ourselves, when 40 minutes later we had to call the waitress ourselves to ask if she would take the order, we had the feeling that we could have sat for hours without someone coming to give us a menu or take the order, I would point out that the restaurant was not full and that people passed by us about twenty times without even us say hi. Exorbitant price for a catastrophic service, this is the first time in my life that I have experienced such rude service and staff, the only person who apologized for the time taken is I think the manager, a gentleman. Great view with good food on the terrace. It's best to drive past Mumelsee and make a stop here.

I had asparagus with hollandaise sauce and triplet potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was one of the best I've ever had.

Terrible service, totally incompetent and unfriendly. Only 1 type of wine on offer. The wine cellar is empty, no joke - in a 4 star hotel? You have to plan 3 hours for eating. And all of this at a completely inflated price. Ridiculous quality, the whole thing. Rip off! The second day was much better. It really depends on which waiter you catch. But overall the drinks are too expensive: 7.50 euros for 0.75 of water. What's that supposed to mean?
