I can't understand the good reviews to be honest. The service was nice but ignored countless orders, two people's drinks came way too late even though the food was already in front of them. The waiter didn't ask if we needed anything else. We first had to ask for new cutlery because it went into the kitchen with the starter plates. At some point we put the plates together ourselves because they were in our way. The waiter gave you everything as if he didn't know any different. We had to actively draw attention to ourselves even though the store was empty except for another small group. A colleague got his meal when everyone else had already finished. There was no excuse for it, he still paid the full price. I give 2 stars for the service because ordering via the online booking system was so uncomplicated and an older man put a few chocolate balls on the table for our Christmas party. We weren't asked if it was tasty or if everything was OK. On the contrary, we were still looked at strangely because we paid by card and didn't have any cash with us. For this mush in the picture 14.90 (added rice and a dollop of mint yoghurt.) I paid 35 euros, €7.90 for semi-cold eggplant cream with a little bread. (The baskets were not filled either.) Addendum: The response to my criticism not only shows racist nature but does not address the criticism. Instead, this is insulted in a personal way. For this I withdraw my 2 stars.

Worst ever service. The person serving the food was pretending like she is doing us a favour. Forgot the salad, brought it after we had our dinner. Was showing tantrums on the counter after taking our order. Like she literally threw the menu back at counter after taking the order from us.

After waiting around 1 hour to 1.5 hour and by our following up they said "sorry we were busy and we are not prepared your food!!" and they didn't give anything to us and we went out without eating anything with no acceptable appologize (even we paid for our drinks while most of them even not used yet). Unfortunately we will never go there anymore. I'm glad that had enough proof and I sent them to Google. so after this, I never ever delete this review, please do not go to this rude restaurant!!! Interestingly, I received an email from Google that the restaurant owner made a complaint about my review. It’s so interesting that I see instead of trying to improve their customer service, they are trying to erase the problem. They even deleted their rude reply to my review.

Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Das Essen didn't convince me. Das Mahiche had einen starken Fettgeschmack, which was unpleasant, and the Bakhtiari-Kebab could have been better. Zum Schluss war der Baklava-Teller überhaupt nicht frisch! The staff were friendly. But I was not completely satisfied with the food. The muscle tasted too much of fat which was not pleasant, and the bakhtiari kebab could have been better. Finally, the baklava plate was not fresh at all!

A lovely evening with very tasty food. The restaurant is lovingly furnished and designed. Everything is wonderful!

We discovered this shop spontaneously while passing by and were excited about the Persian cuisine. The location next to Charlottenburg Palace is very nice. The service was friendly, but it took a little longer to be served. We found the food okay, but not particularly good. The naan bread didn't taste fresh, the side salad had no taste at all and some of the lamb was very tough. The price is okay for the location and the fresh mint tea was also very tasty.

This food in this photo and in this restaurant tastes amazing, and it’s the main reason I keep coming back to this restaurant! The other dishes are decent, but nothing particularly special. The staff are generally fine, but some of them can get a bit short-tempered at times. The atmosphere feels a bit gloomy, mostly due to the music they play. Still, I would recommend visiting just to try the dish in the photo- it’s definitely worth it.

Persian cuisine is something new for me and I had to be told how to eat the stew. The service did this happily and with a lot of love. This Persian stew has very little to do with what we normally know in Germany and it is super tasty and since you get fresh spices you can always create new flavors yourself. The price is completely justified and it's just something different. The atmosphere is lovely and in my opinion there is nothing to complain about.

Today was not our first day at the Saray and like every time we enjoyed our time there, we had great Kababs, Koobideh and chenje. Everytime we are there we enjoy talking and socializing with great behavior staff there.

We love the food! Had the Shishandaz with rice (eggplant in a walnut-pomegranate sauce) and Ghorme Sabzi with lamb. Both incredibly delicious. Plus Dugh, a Persian yogurt drink. The service was friendly. Definitely recommended :)

We often eat here and enjoy it. If you know delicious Persian food or want to try it, you've come to the right place. The waitresses are always very friendly. You also have a beautiful view of Charlottenburg Palace.

Unfortunately the owner has changed. I was there two years ago and it was great. Unfortunately that has changed with the new owner. The food tasted very tasty. The service was a complete disaster. Language and communication problems. Forgot my order and spilled the whole cocktail on myself. An apology was made, but that was it. I expected compensation in the form of a free drink. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Based on my experience, I will no longer visit the Sarayam restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone else. If you are not familiar with service and service staff, it is better to open a snack bar without service staff.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. The service was very bad. The waitresses only come when called and cannot wait. The starter was forgotten, but was then on the bill. I was at Saray yesterday with colleagues and can only recommend it. We had some appetizers that we shared. We did the same with the main course and dessert. It's really worth trying out several dishes. The quality and taste is very good. The Seytun Parvardeh (olives in pomegranate sauce with walnuts and herbs) was particularly delicious. For the main course, we had chicken, lamb kebab and lamb fillet, I found it remarkable that the meat was very tender and not dry at all. Not every restaurant can say that. Be sure to try saffron ice cream for dessert. Anyone who likes dates also likes date ice cream. The prices are absolutely fair.

The service is terribly bad. I have never had to experience anything like today in a restaurant. There were only 3 other tables occupied in the restaurant. Still, it took 15 minutes for one of the waiters to take our orders. The waiter then apologized because we had been forgotten. After another 25 minutes of waiting, only the water was brought. We only ordered 2 salads and soup and a rice dish. A large group arrived after us and after 10 minutes they received kebabs, bread, salad and tea. Our table was still empty. We left and the waiters didn't even try to make up for the situation. In total we were there for 40 minutes and the two of us only got 1 glass of water. We won't eat here again!

Unfortunately, on the third visit to the restaurant, the card payment didn't work (with German Visa cards). The addition here in brackets to the cards because we were told our card is a foreign Visa card. (Cash had to be withdrawn at the nearest ATM, a 27 euro fee was paid). The card works everywhere in Europe and afterwards we tried it out in the late shop next door. Visa cards, whether foreign or not, work worldwide. And especially cards from India are among the leaders in the world. The device simply has a problem. And you know this because the waitress asked three times before paying if we could pay with cash. Waiters are very inattentive and very absorbed in their conversations, yet friendly and polite. Unfortunately, it's no longer worth another visit. There are definitely better restaurants that offer Persian food with good to very good service.

We ordered appetizer plates and koubide. It was nice and juicy and well seasoned and very tasty. The service could be faster and a little more attentive. All in all we were satisfied and would like to come back :)

Simply a pleasure! The rice is incredibly aromatic and fluffy. Well seasoned, juicy meat. The herb plate (Sabzi) goes perfectly with the hearty meal. The service was impeccable and the price was absolutely fair for the quality and portion size offered.

The Persian restaurant "Saray" is a true gem! The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. The quality of the food leaves nothing to be desired – every dish is a taste experience. Great care is taken in cooking in the kitchen, which is clearly noticeable in the freshness and aroma of the food. The grilled dishes are particularly delicious, with tender and juicy meat that literally melts in your mouth. The location is also perfect for special occasions - an all-round successful place for an unforgettable culinary evening.

I arrived at 2:03 p.m. At 2:35 p.m. there was still no order taken. After the card was given I was forgotten for over 20 minutes. As far as can be seen, 3 other tables were occupied by 2 people each. Guests should not be forgotten in this way. I remember the food was good in 2020. Therefore I spent 1 hour traveling there and back plus over 30 minutes waiting time for hassle.

We had a best moment in your restaurant, staffs were very friendly, the service was perfect, we ordered two different dishes and each one was sooooo delicious, I’m really happy for choosing you and will come back to try other dishes 🙏🏻😊

Wonderful place to eat and have a cozy get-together. The service (thanks to the young man) was excellent. He was very accommodating, polite and always had a smile on his face. The atmosphere is orientally cozy, we sat at a round table. It was very spacious so you didn't feel cramped. The food was fantastic. For me there was tabouli and herb omelette. A dream💓 Thank you for the excellent food. The prices are affordable, value for money is right in my opinion. Definitely worth another visit. Charlottenburg Palace opposite invites you to take a digestive walk. :)

My son and I have food poisoning after our visit yesterday.

Nice persian restaurant near the Palace. The interiors are nicely decorated in persian theme and tables are set up in white cloths which adds a fine touch. I tried Lamb shank with baghali polo , the portion of meat was so huge that I got to pack the rest. The meat was very tender and well cooked , however my Indian palate wanted more spice and I take the blame for it. Honestly I can't judge how nice it was as I don't know much about the cuisine. My friends had the minced meat kebab with saffron rice which was nice , however the vegetarian dish with aubergine was bit boring for him. There are no options for soy meat or tofu to add to the protein content in the menu which didnot not suit him. We tried a pot of tea to finish off our meal . The staff is very helpful as he explained the menu with lot of patience and helped with suggestions . I would like to come back for trying more from the persian cuisine.

Uncomfortable atmosphere, bored staff. We only had a starter plate, the dips were cold from the fridge, not very varied. The main courses were overcooked, the lamb, for example, was overcooked, without seasoning, dry, the vegetarian vegetables were overcooked and served in a bowl that immediately took away your appetite. So much rice was served...who was going to eat it? So if this is the best Persian in Berlin…never. I haven't eaten so badly in a long time Based on your reaction to my review you can see how unprofessionally you deal with criticism and therefore you can see the quality you are relying on... The quality was normal. But the worst part was It took about 70 minutes for our orders to be prepared without any reasonable explanation, while we mentioned from beginning we're in rush. Staff even didn't feel the need for proper apology or making up! I won't return back here again

The very poor management of this restaurant can be seen in all departments: the quality of the food is normal, but the high stress of the waiters is quite clear because each waiter is doing the work of two waiters! And you have to wait a long time for each order. Some customers even leave the restaurant because they still could not order after a long time waiting. And a suggestion for the poor management of the restaurant: instead of paying more attention to your money, please pay attention to your customers and waiters so that they don't have to wait a long time for each order.

Das ist eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants, wenn es um persische Küche geht. Insbesondere als Vegetarier geht man hier nicht leer aus, sondern kann hier einen wahren Gaumenschmaus erleben. Das Ambiente passt!

Hervorragendes Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich empfehle, sich einen Platz ln der Lounge zu reservieren und schon hat man das Gefühl, in Persien zu sein.

Essen für mich nicht so dolle. Salz fehlte über weite Strecken und die Gerichte haben mich nicht abgeholt. Fladenbrot und dunkles Bier waren super.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Der Vorspeisenteller war ein toller Einstieg. Danach aßen wir Spieße und Eintöpfe. Wir kommen wieder!

The atmosphere is nice as it reminds you of Iran historical places but the food was awful, I tried “Kebab Kubideh” and I would say it was the worst one I had tried in Berlin, all portions served with Salad which came with a non delicious dressing. Couldn’t finish the meal really disappointed from such a beautiful restaurant.

I have to confess that the food was one of the worst experiences ever. We ordered Barg, whose meat was not fresh. The meat smelled horrible, the service was not friendly at all and the overall quality was very low. The salad for three people was served in a single portion . The rice was very low quality. The price was extremely high and does not worth at all. Overall, do not waste your money for such low quality food.

Lamb shanks are very good . Chelo Kabob was mediocre. Nice staffs but took tooo long to get every thing specially when we wanted to get the bill . All in all tending to 3,5 .

As a Persian unfortunately I can not approve the foods at all! The design is good and for a non-Irainian the is atmosphere definitely new but the food is bad, to be honest with you also the service is very bad as well! You definitely need more waitresses for that one! Sorry, and I hope you try to improve because the location is great but the food is disappointing, Since you represent our food and culture near Charlottenburg palace I want you to do it much better so please take this review as constructive criticism.

Try the safran ice cream ! It’s out of this world

I was their customer in their old place, and after they reopened the new business, I was so happy about it, but unfortunately, the food quality didn’t stay the same. Getting a good kebab is very random, so I stopped ordering kebabs after a while, but the reason I stopped going to Saray is their service. It happened more than once to me that they forgot my order and had to wait longer to receive it. And the last time, even after calling beforehand and requesting to reserve a specific food but once we arrived at Restaurant, they told us that food was not available anymore. A waste of the trip. So if you want to be sure to get good food quality and at the same time good service, I don’t recommend this place. Update: Today, I received an email from Google that the restaurant owner made a complaint about my review. Needed 1 hour wait for the waitress come to get order, we even told them fee time that they should do , no one cared and at the end we left, not the first time, they so slow, takes 2h for you finally get something to eat

Die Bedienung war leider sehr unfreundlich und unaufmerksam. Der Laden war komplett leer und trotzdem mussten ich und meine Familie über eine Stunde auf das Essen warten. Als es dann endlich kam bemerkten wir, dass das Fleisch von innen noch roh war. Um einen schönen Abend zu genießen ist der Laden überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen!

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Ich wohne um die Ecke und bin eigentlich über Jahre regelmäßig hier essen gegangen aber das heute war wirklich nicht lecker. Der Grillteller war absolut aufgeweicht und geschmacklos. Schade und ich hoffe, dass das Restaurant sich wieder verbessern wird aber vorerst leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Na ja, freundliche Personal. Das Essen war grauenhaft. Kabab barre war so hart, dass ich fast die Zähne verloren habe. Djuje kabab war nicht frisch und auch wieder zu hart. Reis hat nach etwas gerochen.Wir haben nur gegessen weil wir sehr große Hunger hatten. Preisverhältniss war ok. Ich empfehle ein große Bogen machen. Diese Restaurants werde ich nie wieder besuchen.

من برای پنج پرس کوبیده با پنج تا نوشابه و یک زیتون ۹۵ یورو پرداخت کردم و اصلا هم راضی نبودیم از غذاهاشون به نظر من که اصلا غذاشون خوب نیست کیفیت ندارد منم برای بار اول بود که رفتم و پیشنهاد نمیکنم به نظر من که یک ستاره هم زیادهست که بدم. I experienced a very good quality of Koobideh here. The staff were so nice and friendly. Salad shirazi was awesome, Zeytoon parvarde was not a thing I expected, probably some ingredients was lacking in it though. All in all, nice experience

Das Restaurant liegt sehr schön mit direktem Blick auf das Schloss Charlottenburg. Sowohl der Hausgemachte Eistee, als auch das frisch zubereitete Essen war sehr lecker. Auch das Verhältnis von Preis und Leistung wusste zu überzeugen. Ich kann einen Besuch im Restaurant Saray nur empfehlen!

It's not the best Iranian food you can find in the city, but it's certainly among the top. At least you can be sure that the quality is not overlooked in favor of the presentation.

War sehr sehr lecker mit interessanten geschmackskombination.. Oliven mit Granatapfel und dill oder eiskaffe mit safraneis zb. der Ablauf in Küche und Service so wie die Wartezeiten könnten besser sein .. aber ein schönes Erlebnis kommen aufjedenfall wieder👍

Amrit besuche ich sehr regelmäßig, das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, die Portionen sind sehr großzügig. Einige Servicekräfte sind der deutschen Sprache nicht mächtig und dann gibt es manchmal Probleme beim Verständigen. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön.

As customers of Saray for many years, we were terribly shocked this time. After a long wait and being ignored by a rude waiter, finally a younger waiter took our order. We also had to get the salt and sumac from another table, which wasn’t even cleaned. At the reception disk, I made a friendly comment about the service. The response from the employee was: we will make sure that it won’t happen again. Thanks, this is how you handle a critique. 5* for this friendly and polite employee, who also made sure that that we got the exact desserts that we wanted, which were delicious. The younger waiter was also friendly. This was the only positive experience at Saray. When having the desserts in the lounge, the co-owner came to watch a soccer game on TV, and got angry because we asked him to turn down the volume. No one else was there. There were no customers inside the restaurant either. Few people sat outside. When leaving, the rude waiter told me: “Your only agenda was to make a quarrel, etc. etc. if you are not satisfied with our service, go to the other Persian restaurants". That’s not the way you treat your customers.

Ein unangenehmes Erlebnis. Hier komme ich bestimmt nicht wieder. Essen war mittelmäßig. Service sehr langsam und unengagiert. Der Besitzer und einer der Kellner waren sehr unhöflich und aggressiv. So geht man einfach nicht mit Menschen um. Sie haben mich und meiner Freundin als Kundinen verloren durch ihr unprofessionelles Benehmen.

The quality of the appetizers was very low... especially the “Parvarde Olives” was very tasteless and look like left over. The quality of the main course was average. The drink we ordered was nothing like the drink we received. The restaurant staff were friendly, but the food was of poor quality unfortunately.
