I really don't know what the fuss is about. I really don't think it deserves the 4.8 it's got. The restaurant was understaffed. Kuddo to the waitress who beside not having stopped was still warm, pleasant and smiling. I had to wait 40 minutes for my dish and I ate alone so I don't imagine how long big parties waited. Don't be fooled by the saffron rice which is 95% white rice with a few yellow grains just on top, could taste the saffron. The tomato sauce tasted like it already made tinned sauce. But I got to admit the chicken was nice and cooked to perfection. So I imagine victim of their success because they clearly couldn't hold the standard too much wait too little staff.

Extremely slow service and rude owner. We had to wait more than 45 mins to get food. People who came later than us also got food before us. Owner was rude when we raised it.

Food is mediocre at best and not authentic. Tailored to the European taste. Very hit and miss and overpriced. Staff is friendly tho, and the atmosphere is cozy. The drinks are alright as well.

Witnessed an interesting episode yesterday: one of the co-owners (the one dancing with sunglasses on the IG reel) mockingly calling a delivery person doing their job, approaching them and demanding their phone multiple times in a fairly aggressive way, insisting on giving a good rating to the place. Came across as pretty disrespectful, bordering xenophobic. Never stepping in a place disrespecting working people just because “I’m a business owner”. Poor promotion strategy to say the least. We can and should do better.

Everything was fine. Its iranian dishes were good. The decor was different than the other Iranian restaurants. It had good cakes and desserts.

We were very surprised by the positive reviews and weren't impressed with the food. Our Persian Memory appetizer was very average. The main course only included two small pieces of meat, which doesn't justify the price. The service was also very subdued. We've both eaten Persian food many times, and this restaurant didn't impress us.

Three times there in the last 12 months. Highly recommended. A little too tiight between tabels. But friendly and yummy & tasty.

The food is always incredibly delicious no matter what you order. The lemonades are creative and yummy. They also have menus with allergen information! This is my favorite restaurant in the entire world (no joke) and every time someone asks me for recommendations in Berlin, I always say you need to go here.

The food took a very long time to come. The card machine wasn’t working. The vegetarian option was the same price as the chicken but without any protein and the portion of the vegetables was very little. It was delicious but not very pleasing.

A large menu with a great selection of foods and drinks with many vegetarian options. The wait for the food isn’t long even when the place is quite busy. Great value for the price you pay.

The food was okay but the staff was not friendly . Ordering through the online menu is so cumbersome and the staff doesn't care much about it .They don't help and seem to always have a rude face on.Also the menu items for the portion size and the taste is a overpriced a bit.

Can’t say enough great things about this place. My mom and I had such a wonderful experience here the other night. The baklava and saffron ice cream is out of this world. After eating hearty German food the last week or so, Meet Me Halfway was just what we needed.

The avocado crust bread is unfortunately not worth the price. The bread itself was very, very tasty, but the avocado was almost rotten and tasted absolutely nothing. The "Morning Power" juice was delicious :).

Really unfriendly obnoxious male staff (the one with long curly hair) being aggressive and raising his voice with me while we were waiting for our table and simply asking if we could sit down. We really wanted to try Persian food but were offended with the attitude of that particular staff that we decided to leave. Couldn’t say about the food quality but weren’t impressed with the service and tone at all. Really disappointed! Updated: a rude and irresponsible response received by the owner as expected. This has happened to others having experienced similar problems with this restaurant. I could confirm I have waited patiently and did not “repeatedly” disrupt anything. A waitress actually had my wife and kid seated in 1 of the 2 tables outside so I was merely asking her how this actually works, only then was approached by this rude person (supposedly the owner), who was stressed out and unfriendly from the start, and got told to read the sign and give him more time. I thought this was rude so told him I was merely asking about the table outside and that I was still waiting to be seated although the table was given to us by the female staff. My wife, who witnessed the whole thing and wasn’t feeling welcome from the start by his unfriendly approach, wanted to leave right away so we did. Also, we never made any comments about food but only about the rudeness and atmosphere of the place - how we truly felt - but again the owner did not seem to understand the situation and shifted the blame to us as he usually did / does to lots of others who have given him, the staff and the restaurant constructive feedback. Never have I experienced such bad services and the level of ignorance from an owner. This won’t last as there are plenty of choices so I hope he and team would be more humble and listen to the other side of the complement to improve.

Me and my husband had our dinner here, first of all I enjoyed the vibe a lot, it’s so cozy with great staff, so kind and kind. The food was amazing not only the taste but the look, presentation was amazing. Highly recommended by a Persian girl.

I ordered a power omelette, nothing special about the taste, it could be much more better than that!! The service was not really good as I expected, the waitress was not friendly at all But the dish design are good as well as the atmosphere

We had a wonderful experience dining here for dinner. The service was very friendly and helpful, but the food was absolutely beautiful! We started with the dolmades, which were warm and full of flavour, then we had our main dishes; Ofen Kebab and Meet Me Vegetarian. Both were absolutely delicious; full of a range of flavours, colours and textures. They were a feast for the senses. Even my drink, which was Wolbasilikum, was like nothing I had tried before, but lovely and refreshing. One of the best dining experiences we have had in our European travels.

It was my first time to try Persian food and it didn’t disappoint. Very tasty and relatively healthy. The restaurant is in a nice, quiet location with a friendly staff and great atmosphere.

The food was very, very delicious. It reminded me of my childhood. I had a hard time giving it "only" 3 stars, but the service was unfortunately not good. The man acted a bit like my questions were a burden to him. They were clearly overwhelmed and stressed at lunchtime, which is understandable, but then his behavior ruined the experience. I don't know if it was just the two of us or everyone else as well. The Wi-Fi and the ordering website were having a lot of problems. At first, we couldn't order, then our order disappeared, and so on. I think it would be better if there were one or two more people working and taking orders in the traditional way. Maybe then it wouldn't be so stressful at lunchtime.

I visited twice, once with Persian friends and once with non-Persian friends, and both times the experience exceeded our expectations. The saffron rice and saffron chicken are highly recommended, and you shouldn’t miss the homemade drinks! The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Our food arrived all at once with no delays, which made the dining experience even better. You can place your order by scanning the QR menu or directly with the lovely and friendly staff. The portions are generous, making it great value for the quality you get.

Very friendly staff. Gave us English menus and we had a choice of sitting inside or out. Ordered at the table using a QR code and everything arrived as expected. Everyone was happy with the quality of the food. Coffee was excellent. Would recommend.

Very upsetting. My dish took an entire hour to come out, everyone else I was with finished their entire dish 15 minutes before we got our food. When we asked the lady she said it’s because we ordered a lot… we got one full breakfast. People next to us came in about 30 minutes after us, had 5 times the food, and got their dishes in about 10 minutes. On top of that, our food was lukewarm, eggs were runny and slimy (we had scrambled eggs), and the meat did not look cooked. When we asked the waiter she said “it’s normal” I have never had runny, scrambled eggs or light pink meat be “normal”. I may not be German, but my entire family is and I’ve lived here half my life. I’m not sure if this was discriminatory, but whatever the case is it’s not “normal” Not the best service, food is absolutely nothing to brag about. For the prices you charge this wasn’t a very good experience. The other people in our group did have incredible food, which is why this is not a 1 star review. Edit: The lady apologized and gave us the bad food free. I’ll add another star for fixing the situation, thank you. 😌

It was very, very delicious. Above all, the staff were very accommodating due to my walnut allergy. They informed me about everything and even placed everything separately on the table so my friends could still eat them along with the other dishes.

I went to meet me halfway for a brunch and it was absolutely delicious! You can either scan a qr code or order at the counter. The food arrived fast and it was absolutely delicious and consistent. You can choose between different style of food and all taste amazing. The staff is smiling, warm and polite. The atmosphere is also great for different occasions (date, friends, family). I really loved it!

Super delicious and great service! The bowl was fresh, juicy, and varied. The wait staff was also very friendly and was able to offer us a table among the many reserved seats. JACKPOT! One of my favorite gems in Berlin. First and foremost, Mehdi is absolutely incredible. He truly makes this place feel extra welcoming and joyful. He makes every guest feel special! The food is absolutely amazing. Every dish is bursting with flavor, the portions are generous, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Everything I’ve tried tastes heavenly, authentic, and unforgettable. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious food and great vibes in Berlin.

We reserved a table for 6 and unfortunately had some delays as we were with one 6-month old baby and a 95-year old grandmother. The main waiter had a very unwelcoming attitude towards us and pushed our stroller and walker away from the painting on the wall although there was a distinct between the objects and the painting. The food took almost 45 min to arrive. The quality was good and the food was tasty but I would never go there again as people would go to restaurants not only for the food but also for the good vibe.

Another fantastic new find for our 'Great restaurants in der Nähe ' list. This mixed starter did not disappoint. I shared it with my work colleague and we both raved about the stuffed vine leaves, the beautifully subtly smoky kebab, the subllime aubergine with pomegranate, but the star of the plate was the saffron chicken! So, so delicious. The Persian lemonade was pretty good too. I'll be back tomorrow for my birthday brunch. Hopefully, they will accept me bringing some gluten free pitta with me?

The restaurant is within walking distance of Berlin Central Station. There's room for about 5-6 tables outside and plenty of space inside. The food was delicious, quickly prepared, and served. The menu offers a wide selection of both sweet and savory Persian dishes (I recommend both), so there's something for everyone. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were very friendly and humorous. The team is well-prepared for picky eaters: my special requests were fulfilled with care! One small suggestion for improvement: For dishes and drinks, the ingredients listed directly on the digital menu would be very helpful. That way, you don't always have to ask for them. If this can be improved, it will be absolutely perfect for me!

I came to this restaurant after reading many good reviews and seeing a high rating on Maps. It has a nice mix of sweet and savory dishes, and the food was decent overall. I enjoyed the appetizers the most—they were better than the recommended main dish. I tried the tahchin, but I wasn’t a fan. It was quite tasteless and a bit lacking, though the portion was very large. I was already full after the starters. The Persian flavors were very mild, and some dishes didn’t feel truly authentic. Service was great, and you can pay by card.

The location is central and easily accessible – ideal for a relaxed breakfast or a pleasant dinner. Special praise goes to the owner, Mr. Mehdi: extremely professional, warm, and dedicated. You immediately notice that he puts his heart and soul into running the restaurant with passion. This is exactly what you would expect from good service! Iranian cuisine is very hearty and full of flavor. Considering the crowds that flock there, the restaurant is very famous, modern, small, and welcoming. But it's so noisy! Regardless, the food is worth the detour.

We wanted to have breakfast here today. When we asked how to order, we were greeted by a very unfriendly employee who said, "I don't care how you do it." I've never experienced such a bad-tempered and unmotivated waiter so early in the morning. Customer service seems to be nonexistent. We then had breakfast somewhere else around the corner.

Today we finally wanted to have Persian breakfast. After waiting outside for a while, we went to the counter, where another customer was already standing. After making eye contact with an employee, we asked if we could order at the counter. The answer was short and sweet: QR code on the table. Somewhat puzzled, we asked if we could also order at the counter using the menu on the counter. The short answer was: I don't care how you do it. If we weren't Berliners ourselves, we'd say it's typical Berlin. Also typical Berlin is that there are other nice, cool breakfast restaurants around the corner.

The food is once again a feast for the eyes and palate, and the staff is warm and cheerful—a must-visit when visiting Berlin. But reservations are essential.

I had two important guests with me and even visited the day before to inform the staff and ensure we’d have a good experience. Unfortunately, the overall attitude and quality were far from acceptable. Before arriving, I called 30 minutes ahead to let them know we might be 5–10 minutes late. Instead of a polite response, I was met with a rude remark: “I won’t promise anything”, followed by a complaint about “another late Persian customer.” This was my first visit, so the comment felt inappropriate and unfair. Upon arrival, we were told rather bluntly that the staff don’t come to the table and that we had to scan a QR code to order online. The code didn’t even work, and the tone used was disrespectful—especially given I had guests with me. When the food arrived, it wasn’t served to the guests first, which is basic dining etiquette. When I tried to hand a plate to one of my guests, the waiter snapped at me: “Don’t get into my job. I know what I’m doing.” The food itself was tasteless and of low quality. One of my guests runs a high-end restaurant and noticed the poor quality of the ingredients immediately. No proper Persian desserts were available—just basic ice cream. When we ordered coffee, one of the cups had a chip right at the rim, which was dangerous and unacceptable. The ventilation was poor—after a short time, our clothes smelled heavily of food, which lingered long after we left. Finally, when we exited the restaurant, no one acknowledged us. Not a single thank you, goodbye, or friendly gesture. It left a cold, unwelcoming impression. For sure didn’t worth the money I paid. I had initially thought of giving 2 stars, but considering the consistent lack of hospitality and food quality, I’ve changed my mind. This experience deserved no more than 1 star. Sadly, I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend this restaurant—especially if you’re trying Persian cuisine for the first time.

Wow! This was hands down the best Iranian food I've ever had! It is authentic and so delicious. Everything came out fresh & very aesthetically pleasing. I will be back.

I remembered the food and atmosphere well; maybe it was the time. At 4:00 PM, the atmosphere here was like a train station through, complete with leaf blowers being used to blow away cigarette butts. The food looked great, tasted okay, but nothing special; the sandwich in the bowl was kind of sticky. We weren't given a menu (which they did have). The online ordering system wasn't great; pictures didn't display, and I couldn't submit my order. When I go out to eat, I don't want to order online. We won't be back.

As an Iranian who knows about the taste of Persian food and the magic behind it, this restaurant instantly reminded me of my grandmother’s home and the meals we had there. Just like Anton Ego in Ratatouille when he takes that first bite and is transported back to his childhood, I felt the same way with my very first spoonful. And beyond the taste, the respectful and kindness of the staff and managers added to the feeling, it truly felt like being back in Iran.

We had dinner at this Persian restaurant. We chose two vegan dishes and were pleasantly surprised. The ingredients were varied and of excellent quality, and the dishes were carefully crafted. Even though the place was packed and we hadn't booked, the owner was very kind and found us a table for two. Highly recommended!

The best Persian coffee we’ve had so far in Berlin. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We tried the Ofen Kebab and Gheymeh with rice, this place has definitely become my number one restaurant.

The new online ordering system is just terrible, confusing and doesn’t work well. In a place where you spend 20 EUR for lunch, you would expect them to hire a waiter that takes orders

My experience here was mixed. I ordered tahchin with "Golden Chicken" – unfortunately, the dish didn't meet my taste expectations. The rice was okay, perhaps a bit too chewy. The chicken was a bit flavorless, and the sauce was unfortunately too watery. The presentation of the dishes, however, was very appealing. For dessert, I had faloodeh bastani – it was truly delicious and highly recommended.

It's been almost a year since I went to this restaurant and I still think about the excellent food and the service we had. Truly a memorable meal. I want to visit Berlin once more just to eat here again.

It's one of the best persian restaurants in Berlin and their best dish is Gheime + Reis

Is "halfway" a reference to a mix of Persian and...um...not Persian? Persian food is laden with sumac, turmeric, nutmeg, caraway, golpar, bay leaves, saffron and limoo amani. I cant say they were entirely missing, but they were subtle at best, and the tired salad leaves with balsamic (as absent in the gulf as bacon) make me wonder if I undertand the concept. The meat is a typical example where the flavours are begging to be united with the mince. The eggplant puree looks the goods, but falls flat and gives me the back palate astringency that makes me doubt its been salt (or vinegar) cured before cooking. The bread is a complete confusion for my little brain. Nothing Persian about it, except maybe that wheat is a common element. Great service and nice place to hang. As long as your not looking for deeply authentic Persian eats. But maybe that's the aim?

If you really want to experience good Persian cuisine, you should come by. It's best to reserve in the evening if possible. It was an accidental and amazing discovery. Gladly again.. Unfortunately I had already started eating before I could take the photo. Delicious!

We visited Meet Me Halfway on our first night in Berlin after 24+ hours of travel, hoping for a warm welcome and good food — and we got at least one of those. Let’s start with the good: the food is really tasty. A wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options, well-sized portions, and a thoughtfully curated drink list. The ambiance is polished and pleasant, and the service is swift — we didn’t have to wait long for anything. So kudos to the kitchen and floor staff, who are clearly doing their job with care. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience left something to be desired. We had a reservation, and were given at a drafty table right by the entrance. When we politely asked for a different table (there were some free), the waiter responded with: "This is the table you’ve been given. I don’t understand why you want to change." For context: my mother is 70, we were visibly exhausted and freezing. While the waiter couldn’t have known our backstory, a little empathy goes a long way — and considering we were eventually moved, the brusque comment was not only unnecessary, but pointless. The same waiter later advised me to “relax, just relax” when I asked if card payment was possible — an odd reaction to a perfectly normal question in a city where many places still don’t accept cards. He followed this with a quip about me working in the kitchen if I couldn’t pay — an attempt at humor, perhaps, but it landed awkwardly and felt patronizing rather than playful. There was also some repetitive mockery when I expressed enjoyment of the food, which frankly wore thin. In sum: good food, nice space, but some of the service teeters between aloof and off-putting. If Meet Me Halfway wants to meet people all the way — especially tired, paying ones — a bit more warmth and professionalism from staff wouldn’t hurt. I fully expect a defensive reply to this review based on previous responses, but hey — taking feedback well is part of good hospitality, too.

I had lunch at meet me halfway on a Sunday. The atmosphere is inviting, but not a super cozy restaurant for a nice dinner. More suitable for breakfast/lunch. Hence the all-day breakfast. Unfortunately, because it was very busy, the noise level was quite high and cigarette smoke from smoking guests sitting outside came in through the open windows. That was a bit uncomfortable. The service was good, but you quickly realize that it's more there to bring you the food and nothing more. Ordering is done online by scanning the QR code and then using the Orderbird app. In all of this, what was most important to me was the food and it was incredibly delicious! The exciting Homemade Lemonade was also great. Thanks for that!
