I ate the chicken. It was not fresh, smells not good. The rice overcooked. Persian Memory it’s just some Cucumber and cheese and old Mint, nearly already black. The original plate should be with more greens. We Payed 80€ for two person for this experience. I can’t understand how people can rate the restaurant like this.

+ update, during my latest and my last trip, the restaurant was super crowded. The owner was super flustered and at one point was so rude to my guest who made no gesture or comment whatsoever. We were just talking amongst ourselves and the owner came to my guest and said snarkly in German about asking him to wait which completely threw us off (my guest is also a german). Maybe he got the wrong person??? We have not done anything to rush him. And then when the lemonade came i drank a little 1/5 of the glass and went to the counter (since they were busy) and asked if I could have some water as it was too sweet + I ordered another dessert from the pastry corner. And he said 'well this is the recipe'. If you are going to be rude to your paying customer because your business is booming, maybe this is very contradictory and think about your mindset. Will not go again. Thank you! Really delicious Persian food with friendly service. Wide range of brunch options available with Persian twists or just European. Love the menu and the vibe of the restaurant. People are not too squeezed. There's a bar facing the window so you can dine alone if wanted. Vege and vegan menus available. A fantastic place! With its relaxed and cozy atmosphere, it's perfect for brunch or dinner. The Persian-inspired dishes on the menu are truly original and delicious – we were particularly impressed by the saffron chicken and the vegan options. The staff is very helpful and the service is friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special and enjoyable experience in Berlin's Mitte district!

1. The waiting time was too long. When I was there, it wasn’t even busy—there were around 8 to 10 customers at most. 2. I didn’t like having to use a QR code to order food. I understand you may be trying to save money, but you’re not a massive chain, and it’s nice to have someone taking orders and interacting with customers. 3. All the smells from the kitchen come into the seating area. When you leave, your clothes smell like eggs and fried sausage. 4. I ordered a cappuccino, but it was more like a flat white. The milk wasn’t properly textured. Regarding the price: once the kitchen smells are fixed, there is staff to take orders, and the barista learns how to properly foam milk for cappuccinos and other coffees, the prices would be fair. However, with the current service, it feels expensive.

There were pantry moths in the dining area, and the baba ghanoush was slightly fermented. What a shame. It used to be the best Persian restaurant in town…

Disgusting! That was the worst meal of my life. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There were three of us eating there, and all three of us had to vomit afterward!

Ratings update (from four stars to five): There are several great things about this place. Let me start with the atmosphere, ambience, and staff. Everything is well-done, and the overall environment is very comfortable. As for the food, it’s decent—not something I’d call extraordinary, but straightforward Iranian cuisine. The presentation is excellent, but there’s something missing in the flavour; it doesn’t quite hit the mark. While the food is fine, it lacks that standout quality and leaves you feeling it could have been better. Now, about the prices—I find them on the higher side, especially considering what’s served. The drinks, in particular, are extremely expensive for what they offer, and the side dishes could certainly be priced more reasonably. Would I return? Perhaps occasionally, but it’s not a place I’d visit regularly.

It was wonderful that we were able to have breakfast with a larger group at meet me halfway Berlin on Zinnowitzer Straße. We received a very warm welcome, and the staff were incredibly friendly and competent. The food was excellent, and everyone (even those who were initially skeptical) found something delicious and tasty. All in all, we had a very enjoyable morning and a pleasant farewell after a celebration the night before. Thank you to the entire meet me halfway team!

A hearty and simply delicious meal! Everything is fresh and full of flavor, special mention for the eggplant caviar, the saffron ice cream and the pistachio caloni... absolutely divine!

DELICIOUS food, kind staff and chill environment. Quite literally nothing left on my plate. We tried the meet me oven kebab and the meet me meze, and the feta starter and all were fantastic! Gave us plenty of bread to sop everything up as well. Would highly recommend 👍

You can order food using a QR code, without having to wait for a waiter. Appetizers and main courses were served together, which was inconvenient at a small table. The portions are large and delicious, but the flavors are rather standard. Prices are above average...

I had saffron rice with gheymeh. The gheymeh was good (though there could have been a bit more), but the saffron rice was a disappointment. A mound of white rice with a little saffron sauce and a few barberries as a "topping" was really not what I expected from Persian saffron rice. Shouldn't the rice be cooked together with these ingredients?

Amazing restaurant! The atmosphere is very nice, informal and the food is absolutely delicious, with plenty of veggie options. We enjoyed it greatly and even got to chat with the owner for a bit, who was very nice. Would recommend to anyone!

I honestly don’t understand how this café has such a high rating. I just wanted to come in and have breakfast. There were plenty of free tables by the window and all around the place. I was carrying a very heavy bag and was clearly tired after traveling. I approached the staff member at the entrance, and instead of simply letting me sit down at any of the many empty tables, they told me, “You have to wait at the entrance until we call you.” Why? What for? There were free seats everywhere. They could clearly see I was exhausted, yet didn’t offer me a place to sit while waiting. I could have waited at any table without bothering anyone, but apparently I was supposed to just stand there for no reason. It felt extremely disrespectful and unnecessarily rigid. The whole interaction left a really unpleasant impression. Based on this experience alone, I definitely won’t be coming back, and I seriously question the café’s high rating.

Probably the most tender chicken in Berlin. The saffron rice is amazing too, and they have delicious freshly made juices and smoothies. It’s also great that you can get a proper meal for breakfast as early as 8 a.m., while most cafés and restaurants only offer a standard breakfast. All in all, a 10/10 experience! On weekends, reservations may be needed.

I had been planning to come to this restaurant for a long time but never had the chance I had heard compliments from all my friends I must say that the food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional Serving and decorating Iranian food in a European style is really great. The ordering system is done through your phone, which makes it feel better Thank you very much I 100% recommend it to you too

I visited this restaurant today and absolutely loved my food. Fortunately, since we had a reservation, we didn’t have to wait at all. The service was excellent, and the taste of the dishes was truly exceptional. It honestly felt like I was eating Iranian food back home. I especially loved that they served the dish with yogurt on the side and a small salad. I also had faloodeh afterward, and again, the flavor was incredibly close to the original. I highly recommend this place as an authentic Iranian restaurant. We should always remember that many ingredients abroad taste different from those in Iran, but here you can hardly notice any difference, the food tastes just like it does in our homeland. Everything was amazing. I know that finding real Iranian rice in Germany can be very expensive and difficult, and although I would have loved to have that traditional Kate and Tahdig with potatoes rice, that’s just me being a bit picky. Overall, I’d give them a solid 10 out of 10. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to all my international friends. I also hope they can expand to a bigger space in the future, because they’re truly doing an excellent job. It was so crowded today that I could hardly hear my friend talking, but to me, that just showed how successful they are and how many customers they attract.

We were there as a group and received a very warm welcome. The owner took plenty of time to explain the Persian food and drinks to us and gave us recommendations. We were all very impressed with the food and drinks and had a wonderful evening. We wholeheartedly recommend Meet Me Halfway and would definitely come back.

I went there on a weekday during lunch and we (3 ppl) immediately got a table. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere quite nice. Can recommend the Meet Me Meze plate. They sadly didn’t have Kuku Sabzi which I was curious about to try out. Would overall recommend this resto :)

We would happily travel the length of Berlin to eat here! Our drinks, the Cucumber & Sekanjebin and Pomegranate were out of this world! As for the smoked salmon omelette and avocado salad bowl. Just absolutely extraordinary! We had the chance to speak to Mehdi afterwards and found out where the inspiration for the restaurants menu came from, which made the food taste so much bette Russell (from Leeds)

My Kebab with bread was quite nice. Though a bit more bread would have been good. The soufflé was not liquid anymore. Not sure if it was homemade, too. You have to order by qr code. Hard to grab the staff, that are nice in general. But not overly engaged with interaction. All coming with a comparably higher pice. If you are in the area already, try yourself. Extra travel to get there, might not be worth it. Personally it just met me halfway.

I was really looking forward to this restaurant because the reviews were so good – unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. As an Iranian, I was expecting authentic Persian food, but the food didn't have the typical Persian flavor for me at all. There were hardly any Persian spices, and my chicken was unfortunately still raw. When I mentioned this, they initially said it was "medium," but then the owner came personally. The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating. He immediately took care of it and brought me a new chicken with rice, which I really appreciated and was very thoughtful. Nevertheless, the menu and the food seem to be geared more towards German tastes. For me, it wasn't authentic Persian food as I know it. This is especially disappointing given the rather high prices. Positive: super friendly owner and good service. Negative: no authentic flavor and unfortunately, quality issues with my food. My friend, however, thought her meal was quite good.

Disappointing, after such a high rating. Food was alright, service was not good. We were repeatedly asked if they could clear the table, every 10 minutes, even though we were still eating. Servers seemed confused, and when there was a miscommunication on an order they doubled down rather than admit there could’ve been a misunderstanding. It’s the small things that make a restaurant experience worth returning to, and I will not be doing so for this one.

And of course the persian Tea. The music choice is perfect, specially for iranians, brought back many memories 😇. The portions are more than enough for one person, the service like always pretty professional and leaves an amazing impression! 😍 08.2021: This place is one of the best persian places in Berlin. The dishes are all delicious, the Safran Tahchin is awesome no matter if it's with the fish (Lachs) the Akbar Judje, or the chicken... they are all perfect! They even had ab-Zereshk!!!! The Faloode&Bastani was the best I had out of Iran and reminded me of home... I'm so glad I found this place close to where I live. 🥰 Definitely recommend 👌

The best Persian food, authentic cuisine – highly recommended! Everything is fantastically delicious, great specialties, including the homemade lemonades. It's a lovely little restaurant with very friendly service and a cool and very nice owner (two brothers who own it). He's even been on TV a few times. It's usually packed, so it's probably best to make a reservation.

Absolutely delicious, and the outstanding service deserves special mention! Incredibly friendly and attentive! We received excellent advice on what we might enjoy, always with a joke and very thoughtful! The food was fantastic. I would have loved to try more, but we simply couldn't eat any more. On the margin I found frozen veggies on the back door :) Otherwise order & pay system is trash, you can order but cannot pay in the app, English language is not available. The Persian lemonade was very refreshing and delicious, as was the golden chicken. The rice was unfortunately a bit dry, and the vine leaves weren't my cup of tea. Communication with the restaurant was a bit odd. They said there was space over the phone, but ten minutes later, they were turned away and then quickly assigned a seat. The service when ordering was again very pleasant. I would have preferred a more comfortable atmosphere. For me personally, it's a bit too "clean."

On Sunday for the lunch it was full. Book your table in advance, because the place is pretty small. Good portions with the rice. We had warm mix plate. I found it very good option to try more dishes in one. Fast drinks and smoothies. Our waiting time was okey with the order after 2:30pm. Otherwise I think it could take some minutes li get because they have also the delivery service and we know that unit should go out firsts. Orders to make are at the table with the qr code which you find on the table. In case you need they have WiFi. You will find meet and vegetarian dishes

Yoghurt and a small salad came with our dishes which was nice. however, the rice was dry. Also, the service was terrible. Can you believe it or not, in this place, you CANNOT SPEAK GERMAN. You have to speak English otherwise you get told by the waitress to look for another coffee. Very rude. As a German Citizen I expect to be understood when I speak German in the capital city of the country. but maybe I am wrong nowadays.

We arrived unannounced and were lucky that two tables just became available. Gheymeh and Ghormeh Sabzi were our choices. They were accompanied by homemade lemonade. We enjoyed it very much and can recommend it. The staff is very friendly. I liked the aromatic mix of the dishes, which isn't overpowered by garlic or excessive spices. Everything here works perfectly. Nothing is overemphasized. On the contrary, the way the herbs and ingredients complement each other is wonderfully harmonious. The meat was tender, just the way I like it. We will be back.

The atmosphere and staff were nice, and there was no waiting time for the food. However, the food we ordered was not as good, they put the pomegranate sauce on the skin of chicken, which we dont eat and throw away, so the sauce was gone. Chicken was not marinated well, and still had the chickeny taste, not good. They bring you free salad and free yogurt, which is really good but it dies not cover for the low quality of the food. We also ordered Babagonoush, the portion was very small for 8 Euro. It was cold and did not have tahini at all, and the walnut on top of that tasted very old. The bread was not fresh and we could not eat.

We treated ourselves to a delicious breakfast here. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth every cent. The service was also very friendly and rounded off the excellent overall impression. 100% recommendation!!!

The food here was only average. I was expecting grilled meat, like in other Persian restaurants, but there were no grilled dishes on the menu. I would say this place is a decent example of a Persian restaurant, but not fully traditional.

Not really Persian ✨ The food was delicious, but unfortunately, it had little to do with typical Persian fare. So, if you're expecting the more delicious saffron rice, you might want to lower your expectations. Definitely okay for a cozy dinner, though—but not for a date night.
