We were there today and celebrated our Christmas party. It was simply wonderful! Incredibly cozy and the food was excellent. The mother and son who own the restaurant were very attentive and incredibly friendly. Thank you again for everything. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We've been regulars here for quite some time. I stumbled upon the restaurant by chance, and since then, we've tried to come every two months with a large group. The service is incredibly warm and welcoming, almost like a family gathering, and the food tastes just like Grandma's cooking. I haven't seen or tasted a single pre-made product; even the hollandaise sauce was homemade. The sandwiches, the cordon bleu, the meatballs, the pork knuckle, the iceberg lettuce, the mixed grill... as you can see, we as a group have tried a lot of things. And there simply hasn't been a single thing to complain about! Absolutely nothing! The cleanliness is also worth mentioning. The only thing that could use a bit of a refresh is the early 2000s ambiance, which is why I'm deducting a star. It really only deserves half a star at most, but there's always room for improvement, right? ;) One more small point: the schnitzel and cordon bleu seem a bit smaller to me/us... but you'll still be full :) (but please, Kater Alex team, please make them as big as they used to be ;)) So, in conclusion, I can only say that if you're in the mood for good food in a family atmosphere, then you should definitely visit Kater and enjoy your meal. Vegetarian options were very limited; it was unfortunately just (it felt like it – you can't really know for sure) deep-fried frozen food. The apple strudel, however, was quite good.

We are from Portugal, and we can honestly say that we have never eaten such incredible food in our lives. The dishes were absolutely outstanding, full of flavour and prepared with great care. The service was equally impressive the ladies and gentlemen working there were extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and pleasant, making the whole experience even better. We actually found this restaurant by chance while exploring Charlottenburg, and we are so glad we did. It was the perfect place to end our trip to Berlin. The restaurant is located about a 10–15 minute walk from Charlottenburg Station, making it easy to reach. Highly recommended!

The cozy place seems to be a favorite of locals. You have to wait a long time for the food. I ordered it on their recommendation and I was not very impressed. My colleague had the Karka. Of course, here in Germany they serve it everywhere, but I have to admit that it is basically spoiled everywhere. This way the meat falls off the bone perfectly, but the meat itself is too dry and not juicy. My suggestion is to fry the bacon in hotter frying oil, then you will need to fry it for a shorter time and you will keep the meat juicier. Although the garnish can be praised. The cabbage was great, in many places in Germany they serve it too sour

The owner is simply kind-hearted and incredibly fond of children! ❤️ Very attentive and always eager to anticipate our every need. We felt completely at home and well looked after. Best schnitzel i have eaten so far in Berlin! This place feels very authentic with a lovely lady serving us. The portion sizes were great with no remarks on the food at all. Even more bonuspoints because they added preizelbeeren on the side of the schnitzel (i have noticed they don't do this at every place) Will go back here when I'm in Charlottenburg!

The most amazing Schnitzel I've eaten so far. Such a jem of a place. The staff is so, so nice and patient, even though they are overbooked. The food is fresh, amazing, tasty ans fills you with warmth and cozyness. The photo speaks for itself. Atmosphere is very lively, how can it not be with everyone smiling, laughing and being kind. Would recommend to anyone passing by, and even making the trip just for the food.

I was staying around the corner from this restaurant and wanted some authentic German food in my week in Berlin. Encouraged by the reviews, I went on a Sunday night (when many places are closed). The interior is modest and, frankly, not much to commend. I ate at one of the four sidewalk tables on a cool late August evening. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel (regular size) with roasted potatoes. I’m not a schnitzel expert but this one was simply delicious. The meat was freshly pounded (not frozen), the breading was not too thick (but delectable), no tell-tale grease, and the mushroom sauce was good (but not fantastic). The roasted potatoes (which I chose over fries) were extremely good. (A small mix of lettuce, cucumber slices, and a carrot “rose” rounded out the plate, more as decoration as opposed to a salad.) My server turned out to be the owner. He speaks better English than I do (he’s a “techie” and learned English largely that way). He’s very friendly and accommodating, who’s working hard to make his restaurant successful. You want to “root” for this guy. He’s an entrepreneur who feels the pinch of every glitch (a new credit card processing machine was due in a week) or shortcoming. There aren’t many. After dinner, I sought directions to neighborhood stores and inquired if red cabbage was available, since I thought it would be a nice “add.” He explained (patiently!) that yes, while red cabbage is delicious, it’s not traditionally served with the dish I ordered. I appreciated the education. On my way out, he took the time to bring me to a table to show me the size of the optional “extra large” schnitzel, where the patron was having it with three eggs on top. It looked as delicious as it was enormous. Prices are reasonable and the beer was exactly as ordered. I’m going back there tonight!

A good restaurant in the heart of Charlottenburg. The schnitzel and side dishes are excellent. We went there for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed an excellent schnitzel. The waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, non-touristy restaurant.

Had an amazing dinner at The Fork! The pork cutlets with onions and pancetta were packed with flavor, and the local wine paired perfectly. Super easy to get to by metro and such a cozy vibe. Loved it!

Only superlatives for this address. We had come down from the center of Berlin to our hotel to eat something in this area and were led here via TripAdvisor. The portions are very large (yes, even the normal portions, because you can also choose XXL - think before you start). The food was incredibly tasty and the staff extremely friendly! We will come back here with great pleasure, and quite hungry. If you are in the area of ​​Charlottenburg, do not miss this restaurant 😉

It's a cozy and relaxed place where you can enjoy a variety of dishes in peace. The food is delicious, and the portions are large enough to fill you up. The staff are super polite and friendly. You won't be rushed out like you might be elsewhere, even if you're still sitting and just having a drink. If you want a relaxing evening, this is exactly the place to be.

I have ordered very tasty food several times now, but it would be good if I, for example, If you order fried potatoes, you don't have to add the fries, then maybe you'd rather have a very small side salad as far as I'm concerned, you can also charge extra because you can't eat everything together, the fried potatoes and the fries, so throwing them away isn't a good idea either

Das Schnitzel mit Pilzen passt zu dem Begriff "Kantinenessen" wie die Faust aufs Auge. Die Pommes sind komplett geschmackslos. Das Schnitzel ist sparsam klein und so dünn wie Pappe. Die Pilzsoße ist ebenfalls fast komplett geschmackslos und man denkt sich nur, dass sie noch nicht einmal gekostet oder aus der Fertigmischung abgeändert wurde. Dazu lieget dann noch ein Salatblatt, 2 Gurkenscheiben und ein Tomatenschnitz als Andeutung eines Salat's. Natürlich ohne Soße Als Kantinenessen wäre das ja noch Akzeptabel, aber nicht für 20€ oder mehr als 5. Die Specials können ja besser sein, aber sich mit solch einem Gericht zu präsentieren spricht für sich selbst und das ganze Restaurant. Ich würde keinem Menschen der mir mir nur im Ansatz am Herzen liegt empfehlen hier zu essen.

Ristorante a pochi passi da Charlottemburb. Ambiente moderno, non molto in stile tedesco. Buona accoglienza da parte della proprietaria (che parla poco inglese). Servizio cortese ed attento. La specialità della casa è la tipica schnitzel, preparata in una decina di varianti e disponibile anche nel formato XXL. Ottima qualità. Prezzi nella media (tra i 17€ e i 25€ a seconda del contorno e della dimensione).

We had reserved a separate area in the back for a family celebration. The service was simply top. Super friendly! Everyone enjoyed the food... from the cabbage roulade to a schnitzel and knuckle. The desserts (Pallatschinken, Black Forest cherry cake, etc.) were also very good. There was nothing to complain about 😉 It was our first time there but definitely not the last time.

We came to eat there on New Year's Eve. The food was good. The food we ordered didn't come when we ordered, so we had to wait a short while for the right food we ordered. Suddenly the wine we wanted was no longer available. When paying, there was suddenly a problem with the card, so we had to pay in cash. But overall a good restaurant.
