There were four of us with a small dog, the four-legged friend was also very welcome. The atmosphere is very pleasantly cozy. The service was excellent, meaning courteous and attentive. The oysters are very well cleaned on the outside, almost clinically white. In my opinion, that should be Not to be the case, but the oyster garnish was delicious, especially with the almond granita. Sourdough bread - classic but good. To share at the same time as the main dish, there were the croquettes, the corn spoilenta and panipuri with the tartar. The latter is really a blast both in terms of craftsmanship and taste! Definitely try it. We also found the corn polenta to have a really strong taste, and the croquettes to be simple but very good. In fact, the entrecôte wasn't particularly tasty for us. The degree of doneness was well achieved with the thin slice, bone marrow with chimichurri was also harmonious - all in all a good, but not exceptional dish. Our companion could say the same about the eggplant. Conclusion: Very good food & drinks, which is clearly priced below the presentation. We would definitely come back if the menu included new dishes.

didn’t have any equivalent experience in Germany for the past 20 years ;-) Innovative and very original cuisine, mixing a lot of surprising flavors (but without being too exotic), menus seem to change on regular basis… Nice environment, nice staff, a drink menu very well thought too: a place to be in the neighborhood. And damned, what about the cocktails?! You’d sell your soul for these, congrats! Their kitchen’s also open quite late 👍🏻 Finally, one could find it a bit pricy locally but it is definitely worth it.

Had a late dinner here yesterday night. Very comforting service, great communication upfront about the kitchen‘s opening hours and more. Food was delicious, especially the polenta. It was really the star of the show and a must try, if ever eating in this restaurant

This place had been on my list, so glad that I finally had the chance to dine here. The food was indeed delicious and worth the price. We tried only 2 types of oysters and next time I’d stick to Chili & Limette and maybe try Mignonette. Tartar was definitely a showstopper! Croquettes were also surprisingly very tasty yet still light. However, Prawns were only okay, didn’t hit the spot like the rest so wouldn’t order it again, if I’m being honest. The sea-bass totally made up for the fact that they don’t have octopus on the menu anymore, together with the sauce and koriander salad was total umami. The service staff were quite attentive and quick. Looking forward to coming again!

My favorite restaurant. The food's right on the edge between creative bistro and full-on fine dining and both gives you that fine-dining 'ooh my senses are intrigued' eating experience and delicious, comforting, cravable bites. Great atmosphere for a long night out drinking (incredible cocktails) and talking with friends. Will never go anywhere else on my birthday if I'm in Berlin.

Nice ambience at the restaurant, casual but crisp. Food was not exceptionally good but generally tasty nonetheless, especially the chimichurri-smeared entrecôte (cooked to a medium) served with bone marrow. Felt that the steak tartare inside panipuri (creative) could taste a bit fresher. The porchetta-mussels dish maybe could be better plated, so to be consistent with other dishes? Although I get the idea that the place is meant to be easygoing. The oysters were simply enjoyable. For the dessert, the miso felt a little too strong for the chocolate mousse for me. Wish I was not being cheap and got a different and more fitting wine than the Silvaner instead.

Great restaurant really.good food. We loved visiting. There were just a few minor details which good use some improvement. Our table water was warm and the restaurant appeared to be a bit understaffed. We had to wait over twenty minutes after finishing a course. So maybe with more personnel it would have been perfect The wines were great though. We loved our evening anyways

Sooo glad I found this place. We were walking around Kreuzburg on previous days and had really enjoyed the restaurants in the area. So on our last day in Berlin, we decided to go back to the area and I found La Côte on google maps. Everything was spectacular - the beef tartar packed and sealed in a ball, the prawn in incredibly delicious sauce that we had to get a basket of bread to lick it all up, and the unbelievably tasty grilled loup de mer etc. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant, casual but classy, energetic and interesting. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful, and were very familiar with what they offered. A fantastic experience to bid adieu to Berlin.

The stuffing in the panipuri and all the textures were a pleasant surprise. :) the chocolate mouse was such a good rich chocolate flavour. :) panna cotta subtle and mild and pleasant. Good service too. Particularly the young woman. :) I wish I asked her name. :)

Oysters were good. The entrecôte was really poorly done. Tender, but terribly overdone. Considering a price tag of 38 euros for the steak it’s not really worth it. Seriously over priced place.

Food great! Service super competent and attentive! It almost doesn't matter that you're sitting crooked on the bumpy sidewalk 😜

Annoyingly, we forgot to take photos of our food. Grrrr. The upside of that being that we shall have to come again to get some photos of the deliciousness that we were served. The experience was absolutely worth repeating! We only went for a quick snack and some cocktails; the food was amazing and the service was competent, friendly and helpful.

The food is delicious but has a lot going on. The plates are small so my husband and I ordered a few different things and they all could have been a tad simpler. If you don’t want to order a big meal, at least order some drinks because the bar tenders are wizards! The drinks are wonderful!! It’s a small place so you’ll probably need a reservation, but sitting at the bar is also great because you can watch those wizards work.

We first went to La Cote a year ago and it was fantastic. Yesterday's meal was nothing special. The only thing that tasted good was the sauce with the shrimp. The meat in the porchetta was too dry and had a lot of fat. Souse didn't taste like anything. Entrecote for 38 euros is simply a piece of meat with no taste. Octopus and potato salad? No sauce. Octopus on May 17, 2023 was a poem. We arrived shortly before 7 p.m., a table was reserved, the restaurant was empty, but we were still seated in the aisle. Arrived after us without a reservation. Got a better table.

La Côte is a cozy neighborhood gem, run by two amazing people, Rebecca and Felix - and more importantly the real boss, Cava. Their love and pride of the restaurant shows from the minute you walk in and all the way to the end of the meal - I suggest you finish with a nice, creamy Café Salé. Staff is always friendly and attentive, very knowledgeable about the curated wine list and craft cocktails, and they create the right atmosphere. The food is tasty, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The menu undergoes small tweaks and we are always excited to see what the kitchen has come up with. Don't miss the black tiger prawns and the oysters with chili/lime are to die for! La Côte has easily become the go-to place for my partner and I (I believe we are on 9 visits now). We feel welcome and we have never left disappointed.

Mixed feeling about this place. Eggplant and Burata mushrooms starters are exceptional but tiger prawn and octopus are so so. Good Mexican Cocktail eur (smokey spicy salty sweet) , have multiple layers of complexity. Service is friendly but slow. Panna Cotta desert costs eur9, the almost has lemon ish coating (a pleasant surprise) but texture is soft/taste a bit old (negative). Won't order it again.

With a French name like ‘La Côte’, don’t expect full French! Expect modern tasty cooking that does not hold boundaries, keeping a French back-bone. Brain freezing Oysters with Almond, Panipuuuuuuri crunch level 100, steak tartare filling satisfying, fusion well executed! Most luscious potato croquette ever! Steak was cooked to perfection, bone marrow was offcourse instant cholesterol tasty! You do have to enjoy the melancholy electronic music, in minimalistic setting. But the natural wines on the menu makes the setting, but thankfully also non-natural options! 🍷

This cozy little place has great drinks, a small, but very interesting wine menu and fantastic food. If you are looking for an intimate evening with your spouse, this place should turn the odds in your favor. It is not cheap, but the food is worth it and yet the place feels uncomplicated and friendly...you don't have to wear a tie or anything.

Definitely one of our favourite restaurant in Berlin.

Very good restaurant. Delicious food with very friendly service. Small card, which is a good sign. We had 3 starters and 3 main courses, everything was consistently good, or better. No disappointment there. The bone marrow for the entrecote was particularly good, never served in that form before, on the bone. Absolutely delicious and special. Meat very thin, but still perfectly fried with different cooking levels. A few special cocktails on the menu, we'll be happy to come back. A little too cold for our taste (temperature) and also a little cold furnished, not very comfortable, but chic. If it bothers you, the service only speaks English. If that's supposed to be hip or cool, I think it's stupid, if it's just because the service hasn't been in Germany for long, then it's ok 🤗

This charming restaurant exudes warmth and coziness from the moment you step inside. Amazing vibe and omg, the food 🤤 A very warm and friendly couple run this place and it feels as though they take pride in providing an individualize experience for their guests. My partner and I are regular patrons here not only for the great food and wine selection, but also for the great service. Like many places in Neukölln, they love natural wines, but they have a great selection outside of that as well. The menu changes, but I can say some must haves are the burrata and the oysters!

I’m so disappointed especially because I saw many good ratings online. I have lived in France and been to many French restaurants including Michelins. The food here is low effort, small portion and over-priced. They are not authentic, more like fusion or creative dishes. There are also not many selections either. We three spent 139€ and walked out all hungry. It’s the first time I see a “French restaurant” not offering some bread or🥖 beside. Unbelievably the rating js so high. I can’t understand WHY. Maybe they deleted the low ratings? When the staff asked if we liked it, I said it’s good but very small portion. He just said yeah it’s small like this. He’s not listening in the customers feedback. I’ll not come again. Reply after the reply of the restaurant: Thank you for the comprehensive response. If the restaurant is French, then it makes more sense. You did offer souther European cuisine. I guess the name is just confusing to customers. Cuz when ppl talk about your restaurant, they say it’s a French. That’s also why we were there. We indeed spent 139€ in total as the receipt. It’s including the drinks. Regarding the portion.. actually no matter the main or small plate to the price is quite small in our opinions. The bread wasn’t a normal size - we were three, we ordered a basket of bread which came with 4 pieces. When I actually got to be there the food and drinks were nice, however I give 1 star for the absolutely terrible service. Recently I have made a mistake booking a table at La Cote and ended up with a booking for a wrong date. By the time I realized the error it was too late to cancel for free as they have a fee for late cancellations. I did cancel anyway, but then to my surprise I was charged for 50EUR instead of 30EUR. I have contacted the establishment several times, but they have dismissed my questions, stating that their communication was clear on the fees. So I have checked the emails I was getting, and it turns out that only their first booking confirmation was listing a 25EUR per person fee, while a booking reminder (which I was looking at when cancelling) was stating a 15EUR per person fee, so did their cancellation email. Still they refused to return the difference and basically claimed that since the first email was saying 25 than everything is correct. This is a case of the poorest customer service I have seen in a long time, and it made me a detractor, not only I will never show up there again, I will make sure more people know about this pitiful behaviour.

I came away from this experience with mixed feelings. Some of the food was very delicious, the staff were nice overall, and the place is clean and modern. However, there were some areas where I was seriously underwhelmed. For example, while the cauliflower with popped bulgar was delicious and surprising, the octopus was not particularly well cooked and ended up somewhat chewy. Also, the drinks were good but the dessert we had tasted nice but presented as basically deflated whipped cream with almonds on it. I was there for a celebration and no one at our table felt like celebrating with such a dessert.

The food was incredibly good, the shrimp wasn't completely cooked through, we said that, a completely new plate arrived within 5 minutes that we didn't have to pay for, the service and the kitchen came to us and apologized. We really enjoyed the best food and service. 10/10 - it was great and everyone should eat here! Great ! That's exactly how it has to be.

Very nice atmosphere. Super welcoming and friendly service. Nice wine menu. Good cocktails. Good quality of starters. Average quality of main dish. Close call between 4 and 5 stars. But the main dish (Lasagna) just couldn’t live up to expectations, so it’s 4 stars. Might change it when I come back and have a better experience.

Beef Tartare Panipuri: Beef was fresh and had a good texture, but lacked flavor. Nothing exceptional, but worth trying. Croquettes: Crunchy outside and super soft inside with pecorino cheese. Chili sauce is delicious. Recommended. Veal w/ Egg: Green Goddess dressing is really delicious, veal totally lacked flavor. Not recommended. Lasagne: Very good. Soft beef cheek / tomato sauce / dill was a great combination. Definitely recommended. Sourdough bread and butter: Bread was very disappointing - simply not fresh. Butter might be the best one I ever had, like 10/10, not sure what was inside... Mezcal cocktails were exceptionally good. Tables for two on the entrance floor are way too close to each other. It is understandable for the restaurant to use the space wisely, but the proximity was compromising privacy a bit too much. We were practically sitting together with the couples on our right and left. Apart from that, the ambiance and music is nice. The service inside the place by the lady was really kind, however the speed was exceptionally bad. There is no excuse to have 30-minute gap between serving two small snacks. We paid 137 EUR for three small dishes, one large dish, five cocktails, water and bread. Considering the overall experience, I think it was worth it. Food: 3.5/5 Service: 2.5/5 Atmosphere: 3.5/5 Overall: 3.5/5

Schillerkiez's very own chic french establishment known for their fresh oysters, curated wines and expertly made french plates. The dining room is modern & elegant with very cosy tables. There always an exciting buzz in the dining room making a very fun dinner. The service is friendly and curt. The staff is very well versed with the menu and can help selecting dishes and wines to go with it. The menu is concise and very well made. We had one of each dish and they were all fabulous. They are french themes but borrowing flair from different cuisines! The ingredients are of great quality and one cannot leave without trying the oysters. Overall, it's a great experience! It's perfect for small groups and intimate dinners. 10/10

Absolutely fantastic place - great and memorable food that was perfectly prepared. I would recommend it for date night or small groups for intimacy. You can tell the owners and the team care about the place. Also the right amount of design and lighting. One suggestion would be to serve the oysters without garnish and let people add as much mignonette they want - rather than already pre made. Otherwise everything was 5*

Recht eng. Fur ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse erwarte ich mehr Platz und ein gediegeneres Ambiente. Pseudo chick halt. Das Essen ist zT sehr gut, aber mit Ausfällen, z.B. die Lasagne ist klein, mampfig und langweilig. Warum die Weingläser ohne Volumen Angabe in der Karte aufgeführt sind erklärt sich schnell: kleine Gläser mit ca 1,2 dl zum Preis von 3 dl oder mehr an anderen Orten wo der Wein besser ist, zumindest der eine den wir getrunken haben - war der teuerste Durchhänger seit langem. Und beim Zahlen war es fast unmöglich einen selbstgewählten Betrag für das Trinkgeld zu geben, während gross die Tasten für 10, 15 oder 20% das Eingabefeld dominierten.

I was a bit disappointed that they were not serving snails 🐌 that night but the other dishes made it up for it. 🍷 Their wine options and also cocktails were very good. The waiter was very helpful at choosing the one for each of us. 🤵🏻‍♂️ Nothing to complain about, the waiters were in general super nice and helpful, the food was brought fast enough, and they kept checking on us to ensure we weren't missing a thing. 🪩 Pretty, cozy, nice, fancy environment. Perfect for a dinner date, a bday celebration or anything. Definitely loved the place.

A small menu, in a small place. But both were good: I ended up seated at the bar near the door, and had several fun conversations with my neighbors and people who passed though. Friendly, welcoming service. Good wines by the glass (although again, a somewhat limited list). Food was inventive and tasty.

I love going to La Côte for a cocktail and bar snacks or a special dinner. I‘ve celebrated my birthday there twice now and have held several dinner events in their private dining room. Been around a few years as one of the few restaurants almost single-handedly helping Berlin stake its claim in the European Gastro scene. Food is amazing, wine list exciting, and you can tell the staff and owners take what they do very seriously but don’t take themselves seriously, a rarity in fine dining. Can recommend booking their downstairs for a more intimate dinner & drinks with friends. The panipuri omg

Das Essen ist der Hammer, da kann man nichts anderes sagen. Nur der Pulpo ist tiefgefrorene Ware, merkt man, dass er beim Grillen eingeht, schade. Austern, Kalbsbries.. alles top! Preis etwas höherklassig. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass der Kellner mit 7€ (auf 223€ Rechnung) unzufrieden war und es auch so ausgestrahlt hat. Das darf so nicht sein.

Företagaren är svensk, och han reserverar alltid mitt favoritbord åt mig på nedervåningen. Bra mat, bra vin. Det är tråkigt att jag måste äta ensam!

Food allergics beware! When making a reservation I was explicitly asked to specify food allergies, whereupon I indicated that one person in the group has a nut allergy. In the restaurant, however, this was not addressed or accounted for at all, and so I suffered a medium-severe allergic reaction a few hours after the meal. I understand that maybe it is hard to change the composure of a well thought-out dish completely to omit the allergens for the person, but then it would be good to at least have pointed out in which part of the dish there are nuts when ordering/serving, so I can avoid these. Luckily I am not heavily (life-threateningly) allergic to nuts, but some people can be, so these issues should be better managed. Otherwise it's a really cool place with amazing food and great drinks, just unfortunately very disappointing handling of food allergies. -Sent with a still itchy rash from nut allergy reaction

Not bad, even though quite pricey. But overall a good option for the occasion.

Location: Innen: Laut, ungemütlich und viel zu eng. Außen: Neukölln halt: klapprige Stühle und Tische auf dem Gehweg. Service: Nett zuvorkommend aber an unserem abend rein englisch sprechend und unaufmerksam. Das Motto: Ich laufe nicht leer von a nach b trifft hier nicht zu. Wir hatten auch das Gefühl, das sich die Servicemitarbeiter nicht mit den angebotenen Gerichten und Getränken auskannten. Was vielleicht in Neukölln geht - wir aber wirklich nicht gut fanden: Die Mitarbeiter.innen aus der Küche standen/saßen abwechselnd vor dem Restaurant - in Gästenähe (in Arbeitskleidung) und waren ständig am rauchen. Speisen: Die Austern wurden uns sehr empfohlen, die waren jedoch ein Reinfall. Die marinierten Austern (mit Yuzu) schmeckten nach nichts. Was ein No Go ist: Die Austern waren zu Teilen halb gefroren. Beim ersten Biss auf eine gefrorene Auster zu stoßen hat nichts mit Genuss zu tun. Das haben wir beim Service angemerkt, die nachgereichtenAustern waren leider nicht besser. Die anderen Gerichte alle nichts besonderes und schon öfter und in besserer Qualität gegessen: Hamachi (gibts in jedem Hipster Laden und Sushi Anbieter an der Ecke) von durcschnittlicher Qualität, roh mit Soße. Nichtssagend und langweilige. Ebenso die gegrillten Pfirsiche (kalt!) und Burrata. Fazit der Speisen: Alles war durchschnittlich viel zu kalt, vom Fisch über die Kühlschrankkalten gegrillten Pfirsiche. Ein paar Grad mehr und man schmeckt auch etwas "mehr". Weinkarte: keine Highlights, viel Naturwein von teils bekannten und unbekannten Winzern. Die Drinks waren gut aber mit einem Schluck ausgetrunken weil sehr klein gehalten. Motto: Großer Eiswürfel im großen Glas mit wenig Flüssigkeit. Macht aber keinen guten Drink aus. Wir verstehen den hype und die positiven Bewertungen nicht. Nachtrag: das der Service nur englisch spricht war keine Beschwerde sondern eine Anmerkung. Zu den Austern: selbst mit Granitee darf eine Auster nicht an der Schale gefroren sein.

Amazing food and great service! We had the yuzu cucumber granita & tobilo oysters, the beef tartare panipuri, the hamachi sashimi, the shrimp crudo, the hilopites and the pulpo. Everything was delicious and that’s why we keep coming! The service is very good and the bartender makes great cocktails (ask for the Pineapple Express if you love a sweet cocktail). The menu changes from time to time which is also good as there’s usually new things to try!

Outstanding. My wife and I had the best meal we’ve eaten in Berlin here. Very well thought through dishes with a focus on ingredients and preparation, none of the pretence of some of the ‘sharing plates’ style restaurants. The oysters, octopus shrimp crudo and beef tartare were the best we’ve had of each respectively. The service was perfect - attentive and friendly but not overly formal. Even got a spot outside. Excellent and friendly service, superb food with great and interesting flavor profiles. Would go again and again.

You really need to be interested in high end fine dinning in order to enjoy this place. I think that for me the food was too elaborated and sophisticated. The service was really good. The sweet and super knowledgable bartender was awesome and he really enhanced the experience for us, explaining the dishes and instructing how to have them. Also, to me the ambience wasn’t exciting or special.

Die Austern sind köstlich mit verschiedenen Soßen und Fischtartar mit Seetang, Gurke und Sellerie sehr frisch. Oktopus passt gut zu dem Süßkartoffelpüree, nur die Entenfleischgerichte hatte zu viel Sehne zum beißen Weinkarte ausgezeichnet,Ambiente sehr gemütlich.

Perfect place and amazing cocktails.

One of my favorites in Berlin. Great Drinks (cocktails, esp great mezcal! And a fun wine list), super friendly and attentive service, a very cool interior (incl seats at the counter, which i absolutely adore and not many places have in Berlin), very laid back atmosphere and of course absolutely phenomenal quality of cooking and beautiful plating. The menu changes regularly and presents the best and freshest ingredients, often with a pan-mediterranean twist, inspired by the Israeli Chef. We had pretty much everything from the current menu, outstanding was the polenta and the pulpo, the burnt gem lettuce (omg) with the chicken, the "Kalbsbries" and the bread and butter i could not get enough of either. A strong recommendation 10/10

We just had a fabulous dinner at La Cote. Felix and Daniel were very warm and welcoming and the food was fantastic. We cannot wait to go back.

Incredible meal in Berlin, one of the best we had on a 3 week trip to Germany. We had oysters, bread and panipuri. My wife had the octopus and I had the duck. Great service, great drinks. Highly recommended!

Super nice food and great wine. Not so many options, if a big group you will end up repeating dishes. Shrimp crudo was amazing! The pulpo was great too
