Solid food and nice attentive people running the show! Go for the dessert - its amazing!

It was a successful evening with exquisite oysters. The start with tomatoes and the delicious Paloma cocktail was also very successful. Unfortunately, things fell off a bit after that, and the subsequent dishes couldn't keep up with the brilliant start. Overall, the ambiance is a bit cramped and loud, but that doesn't detract from the overall atmosphere. The service is friendly and attentive, although they only speak English. 😉

I haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. Far too expensive for the quality. The taste is bland. The lemon butter is just greasy. You have to buy bread with it. The fish comes with no side dish.

Very good food. Shared multiple starters and small plates as well as large steak. Service was underwhelming. Dishes came with very long breaks and in wrong order. We waited more than an hour on the steak which came at the end after we had already been served all side dishes. Waiter probably forgot about it because we had to ask multiple times for it

An interesting restaurant — definitely worth visiting again. I tried three different oysters; those served with sauces tended to overshadow the natural flavor of the oyster itself. The polenta was surprisingly good, and we really enjoyed its taste. The tiger prawns were also delicious, though not particularly memorable apart from their impressive size — which isn’t always the most important thing. The wine selection was strong, and one of the highlights of the evening was our waitress — probably American — who was exceptionally kind and expressive. We really appreciated her professionalism.

We had a spontaneous craving for steak and oysters at the beginning of the week, so we went to La Côte without a reservation. The oysters were excellent, but the steak seemed like it had been resting a bit too long. The service was very friendly – ​​all in all, a very nice bistro. :)

Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking to enjoy something a little different from the standard fare. The restaurant is on the higher end, but still affordable – and the quality fully justifies the price. The service is extremely friendly; however, knowledge of English is an advantage. The menu is small, with only three main courses, but the quality is top-notch. There's also a fine selection of starters and tapas, so you'll be well-fed and satisfied even without a main course. Tip: A reservation is recommended to ensure a seat.

We had a wonderful evening at La Côte! The entrecôte was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender – a real highlight. The side dishes, such as asparagus and potatoes, were also very well-executed. The restaurant has a stylish and modern interior, with great attention to detail. The tables are small, so you sit close together, but somehow this also makes the whole place cozy. The portions are rather small and the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality is impressive. The cocktail menu is small but excellent – I had a Creamy Lime Margarita with tequila, Cointreau, a whole lime, and sweetened condensed milk for €13, very tasty and something different! The service was friendly and attentive.

The restaurant wanted this French review removed from Google. Reason: "Defamation." Translation: "The restaurant is pleasant and well-decorated, with friendly service. However, the portions are too small or, depending on the dish, uneven—albeit refined in taste—considering the, in my opinion, excessive price. There's no distancing at the bar between guests. The same applies to the table layout. Furthermore, not a single window upstairs is opened to allow for even occasional ventilation. That's a real shame."

Simple and concise menu featuring delicious food served in tapas style. We enjoyed a cozy rainy evening here and the service was excellent. Highly recommend all the dishes we ordered: Leek and labneh dip was the star of the show in my opinion. As the mains we decided on the entrocote with a mustard sauce. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce per say but the meat was cooked well. The bread pairs nicely with the labneh as well as the tomato pecorino. All in all great food, service and ambience. Recommend!

If I could give 6 stars I would !!! The service is friendly and I had special requests that they didn’t ignored. and also took care of my allergic request It’s very nice to have a place that take your allergies seriously.

Best casual-fine-dining restaurant I've ever been to

The service was excellent. I also liked the restaurant's decor. But the food was unfortunately not tasty. The price, in particular, doesn't justify the mediocrity of the food. 40 euros for an entrecôte, which unfortunately wasn't very seasoned or tender. I like to spend money on good food; unfortunately, we were disappointed here. The cocktails were okay.

EXCEPTIONAL! We tried La Côte and every dish was absolutely fantastic, from the leek dish over finger potatoes to Loup de Mer and Polenta. We also had two desserts. Highlights were the finger potatoes with green sauce and mustard seeds and the Polenta with Salsa Verde and Chorizo and also the chocolate mousse dessert with miso and buckwheat (even tho "mousse" is a little bit misleading as it is very dense). Every dish was a taste explosion, just the right amount of salty, perfectly balanced, some surprising notes. It feels like comfy food on an extremely high level with a special fine dining twist. For this level of cooking the price (which is undoubtedly not cheap) is definitely justified. We paid slightly over 100 euros for 3 small plates, 1 big plate (an entire grilled fish), 2 desserts, 2 glasses of wine and 2 non-alcoholic cocktails. Quantity was definitely plenty for 2. I highly recommend the place, the food was better than many more hyped places while the prices are rather on the lower end for this kind of restaurant experience. If you want to treat yourself, come here. Service was also nice and attentive and the place is beautiful inside.

🌟 Absolutely Exceptional – A Must-Try Dining Experience I’ve been to many upscale restaurants in the area, but La Côte truly stands out. We started with the sourdough bread and wild garlic butter — simple on paper, but unforgettable in flavor. Then came the leek dish, featuring confit leek, crispy leek, leek ash, and labneh. I never imagined leeks could taste this good! The *fingerling potatoes* with mustard seeds were another standout, followed by polenta with chorizo, which surprised me the most — rich, layered flavors elevated with salsa verdeand tajín. The grilled Loup de Mer was our main course — fresh and perfectly cooked. And dessert? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. A chocolate mousse with miso sauce and buckwheat may sound unusual, but it was incredibly well-balanced and delicious. Between the thoughtful dishes and the genuinely lovely service, this was one of the most memorable dining experiences. Highly, highly recommended.

Amazing food and cocktails, kind staff/owner and a good wine selection too.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. The atmosphere is subdued and rather elegant. We were seated at the back of the room, and the place was full without being too noisy. The service was friendly and even generous! As for the portions, they were indeed small, but still acceptable. Above all, we remember that it was very good, very refined! The mezcal selection is excellent; we really loved the Perro de San Juan. Thank you for a wonderful evening! See you soon :)

It feels like a typical San Francisco dinner after spending the whole week working “tech” at Silicon Valley: hipster atmosphere, very economic portions, prices not so “economic”. Super tasty though. Service was a bit rushy but guess that’s part of the concept as well. It’s the new Berlin at its outermost aesthetics.

The drinks were solid and we only ordered three oysters for the meal - they were fresh, but nothing terrible. The snacks were olives (meh), sourdough bread with butter and bone marrow. Sourdough bread with butter was nice, but the bone marrow didn't blow us away. Then came the panipuri with beef tartare – and that was a taste explosion. Mussels were okay too. The Loup de Mer – super tender, very tasty. Then dessert came… and wow, was it a disappointment. The chocolate mousse? Not that tasty. The dishes were quite expensive, but the portions were very small - unfortunately the price-performance ratio was not good at all. And here is the reason why I give a maximum of two stars. The waitress was so eager for sales that she felt like she forced us to order more at the beginning. We were a little uncomfortable. Then the little waiter with glasses and a mustache – just rude. In the end he completely ignored us, no “thank you”, no “bye”, nothing. Why Probably because in his opinion we didn't order enough. Sorry, but when you work in the catering industry you should at least maintain a minimum of politeness. If this is too much for him, perhaps another job would be a better choice. Food had a few good moments, but the service completely ruined it.

The first time we been here was great the Austern. Thats why we came back. But this time i would say not the best😒 the Austern inside was too small and not seasoned like the green caviar like last time😣.. the waiter is friendly 🫶🏼🫶🏼.

Just another overrated restaurant in Berlin. Very noisy, very loud music. The food was ok, but nothing special. Don’t call a corn soup ‚polenta‘, don’t call a desert made of cream ‚whipped panna cotta‘ and don’t call a Riesling Cabinet ‚Sweet Wine’. A bit weird: the dishwasher is in the same room, where oysters and the (raw) beef tartare is made. Also weird: the oysters - which are expected to be fresh - are floating in a container made of plastic (just the flesh).

The plain oysters were some of the best you can get in berlin, the polenta was a nice surprise, not how nonna would make it but still delicious. The croquettes were rich but not too heavy. the fish was perfectly cooked and the colours and flavours of the dish were amazing. The food didn’t leave us stuffed (wonderful) so we even got to try desert. The miso chocolate mouse was a bit intense but the tonka bean and lemon zest of the pannacotta was seriously nostalgic. 10/10.

With four guests who order different things, it's difficult to implement. Music could be a little quieter. If I lived in Berlin, I would come back.

It is quite an expensive place, but I have to say that the service was incredible, the food was of high quality and each dish was perfect. I can't say anything other than that it is a highly recommended site. I was surprised by the quality of the product and the detail in each dish.

It was supposed to be a great evening for our anniversary...unfortunately it turned out to be the opposite. Very long waiting times. We only had 3 starters and were there for a total of 2 hours. 90% of which were serviced. When we went to order dessert and were ignored four times, we left hungry.

Very nice restaurant with fine cuisine and a good selection of wines. 1 star deducted because the music was simply too loud for a restaurant (yes, it's Neukölln, but you still want to talk while you eat) and because I sometimes missed the twist in the really good dishes. It was also amusing to incorporate raw beef into an Indian dish 🤣 it was tasty but perhaps a touch too much 😉

Interesting experience here. My highlights - the cocktails, the service, the small menu, clean bathroom and the taste of a couple of the meals. The Croquettes, polenta, sourdough bread and tiger prawns! Were the star of the show. My lowlights - super duper overpriced, not filling for the price (rates lower than particular restaurants with similar pricing), and we had the tip automatically added to the bill which was very confusing for me. Wonderfully cooked entrecôte however outrageous price for the quality. Good atmosphere for a date or work dinner.

La Côte in Berlin is a true delight! The staff is amazing, the service flawless, and the food unforgettable. The highlight for me was the perfectly cooked Loup de Mer. A must-visit for anyone who loves great dining! And my GF loved it 🔥🔥🔥

There were four of us and we decided to take a large selection of the "small plates". Including the Vitello tonnato, which the four of us enjoyed I ordered it because it was intended as a main course. The evening continued and when, after an hour, it was time to have the vitello tonnato delivered, we were told that there were only 3 pieces left. This was very disappointing as we had already ordered an hour before. Overall the food was tasty but not worth the price. The tartare was very little and way too cold. The same applies to the eggplants. When I told the waiter when I was paying that I was unhappy about the missing vitello tonnato and I couldn't understand how someone could get such information an hour later, he said it was the chef's fault and not his own. We ordered some more bread to make up for the missing dish, which he later charged us for as well. At least there they could have been a little more accommodating. We won't eat there again. In total with two drinks and a bottle of water we paid 200 euros and weren't full.

There were four of us with a small dog, the four-legged friend was also very welcome. The atmosphere is very pleasantly cozy. The service was excellent, meaning courteous and attentive. The oysters are very well cleaned on the outside, almost clinically white. In my opinion, that should be Not to be the case, but the oyster garnish was delicious, especially with the almond granita. Sourdough bread - classic but good. To share at the same time as the main dish, there were the croquettes, the corn spoilenta and panipuri with the tartar. The latter is really a blast both in terms of craftsmanship and taste! Definitely try it. We also found the corn polenta to have a really strong taste, and the croquettes to be simple but very good. In fact, the entrecôte wasn't particularly tasty for us. The degree of doneness was well achieved with the thin slice, bone marrow with chimichurri was also harmonious - all in all a good, but not exceptional dish. Our companion could say the same about the eggplant. Conclusion: Very good food & drinks, which is clearly priced below the presentation. We would definitely come back if the menu included new dishes.

didn’t have any equivalent experience in Germany for the past 20 years ;-) Innovative and very original cuisine, mixing a lot of surprising flavors (but without being too exotic), menus seem to change on regular basis… Nice environment, nice staff, a drink menu very well thought too: a place to be in the neighborhood. And damned, what about the cocktails?! You’d sell your soul for these, congrats! Their kitchen’s also open quite late 👍🏻 Finally, one could find it a bit pricy locally but it is definitely worth it.

This place had been on my list, so glad that I finally had the chance to dine here. The food was indeed delicious and worth the price. We tried only 2 types of oysters and next time I’d stick to Chili & Limette and maybe try Mignonette. Tartar was definitely a showstopper! Croquettes were also surprisingly very tasty yet still light. However, Prawns were only okay, didn’t hit the spot like the rest so wouldn’t order it again, if I’m being honest. The sea-bass totally made up for the fact that they don’t have octopus on the menu anymore, together with the sauce and koriander salad was total umami. The service staff were quite attentive and quick. Looking forward to coming again!

La comida está justo en el borde entre el bistró creativo y lleno - en la buena cena y ambos te da esa buena - cena 'oh mis sentidos están intrigados' experiencia alimentaria y deliciosos, reconfortantes, bocados antojadizos. Gran ambiente para una larga noche bebiendo (cócteles increíbles) y hablando con amigos. Nunca iré a ningún otro sitio en mi cumpleaños si estoy en Berlín.

Nice ambience at the restaurant, casual but crisp. Food was not exceptionally good but generally tasty nonetheless, especially the chimichurri-smeared entrecôte (cooked to a medium) served with bone marrow. Felt that the steak tartare inside panipuri (creative) could taste a bit fresher. The porchetta-mussels dish maybe could be better plated, so to be consistent with other dishes? Although I get the idea that the place is meant to be easygoing. The oysters were simply enjoyable. For the dessert, the miso felt a little too strong for the chocolate mousse for me. Wish I was not being cheap and got a different and more fitting wine than the Silvaner instead.

Great restaurant really.good food. We loved visiting. There were just a few minor details which good use some improvement. Our table water was warm and the restaurant appeared to be a bit understaffed. We had to wait over twenty minutes after finishing a course. So maybe with more personnel it would have been perfect The wines were great though. We loved our evening anyways

Sooo glad I found this place. We were walking around Kreuzburg on previous days and had really enjoyed the restaurants in the area. So on our last day in Berlin, we decided to go back to the area and I found La Côte on google maps. Everything was spectacular - the beef tartar packed and sealed in a ball, the prawn in incredibly delicious sauce that we had to get a basket of bread to lick it all up, and the unbelievably tasty grilled loup de mer etc. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant, casual but classy, energetic and interesting. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful, and were very familiar with what they offered. A fantastic experience to bid adieu to Berlin.

The stuffing in the panipuri and all the textures were a pleasant surprise. :) the chocolate mouse was such a good rich chocolate flavour. :) panna cotta subtle and mild and pleasant. Good service too. Particularly the young woman. :) I wish I asked her name. :)

Oysters were good. The entrecôte was really poorly done. Tender, but terribly overdone. Considering a price tag of 38 euros for the steak it’s not really worth it. Seriously over priced place.

Annoyingly, we forgot to take photos of our food. Grrrr. The upside of that being that we shall have to come again to get some photos of the deliciousness that we were served. The experience was absolutely worth repeating! We only went for a quick snack and some cocktails; the food was amazing and the service was competent, friendly and helpful.

The food is delicious but has a lot going on. The plates are small so my husband and I ordered a few different things and they all could have been a tad simpler. If you don’t want to order a big meal, at least order some drinks because the bar tenders are wizards! The drinks are wonderful!! It’s a small place so you’ll probably need a reservation, but sitting at the bar is also great because you can watch those wizards work.

We first went to La Cote a year ago and it was fantastic. Yesterday's meal was nothing special. The only thing that tasted good was the sauce with the shrimp. The meat in the porchetta was too dry and had a lot of fat. Souse didn't taste like anything. Entrecote for 38 euros is simply a piece of meat with no taste. Octopus and potato salad? No sauce. Octopus on May 17, 2023 was a poem. We arrived shortly before 7 p.m., a table was reserved, the restaurant was empty, but we were still seated in the aisle. Arrived after us without a reservation. Got a better table.

La Côte is a cozy neighborhood gem, run by two amazing people, Rebecca and Felix - and more importantly the real boss, Cava. Their love and pride of the restaurant shows from the minute you walk in and all the way to the end of the meal - I suggest you finish with a nice, creamy Café Salé. Staff is always friendly and attentive, very knowledgeable about the curated wine list and craft cocktails, and they create the right atmosphere. The food is tasty, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The menu undergoes small tweaks and we are always excited to see what the kitchen has come up with. Don't miss the black tiger prawns and the oysters with chili/lime are to die for! La Côte has easily become the go-to place for my partner and I (I believe we are on 9 visits now). We feel welcome and we have never left disappointed.

Mixed feeling about this place. Eggplant and Burata mushrooms starters are exceptional but tiger prawn and octopus are so so. Good Mexican Cocktail eur (smokey spicy salty sweet) , have multiple layers of complexity. Service is friendly but slow. Panna Cotta desert costs eur9, the almost has lemon ish coating (a pleasant surprise) but texture is soft/taste a bit old (negative). Won't order it again.

With a French name like ‘La Côte’, don’t expect full French! Expect modern tasty cooking that does not hold boundaries, keeping a French back-bone. Brain freezing Oysters with Almond, Panipuuuuuuri crunch level 100, steak tartare filling satisfying, fusion well executed! Most luscious potato croquette ever! Steak was cooked to perfection, bone marrow was offcourse instant cholesterol tasty! You do have to enjoy the melancholy electronic music, in minimalistic setting. But the natural wines on the menu makes the setting, but thankfully also non-natural options! 🍷

This cozy little place has great drinks, a small, but very interesting wine menu and fantastic food. If you are looking for an intimate evening with your spouse, this place should turn the odds in your favor. It is not cheap, but the food is worth it and yet the place feels uncomplicated and friendly...you don't have to wear a tie or anything.

Very good restaurant. Delicious food with very friendly service. Small card, which is a good sign. We had 3 starters and 3 main courses, everything was consistently good, or better. No disappointment there. The bone marrow for the entrecote was particularly good, never served in that form before, on the bone. Absolutely delicious and special. Meat very thin, but still perfectly fried with different cooking levels. A few special cocktails on the menu, we'll be happy to come back. A little too cold for our taste (temperature) and also a little cold furnished, not very comfortable, but chic. If it bothers you, the service only speaks English. If that's supposed to be hip or cool, I think it's stupid, if it's just because the service hasn't been in Germany for long, then it's ok 🤗

This charming restaurant exudes warmth and coziness from the moment you step inside. Amazing vibe and omg, the food 🤤 A very warm and friendly couple run this place and it feels as though they take pride in providing an individualize experience for their guests. My partner and I are regular patrons here not only for the great food and wine selection, but also for the great service. Like many places in Neukölln, they love natural wines, but they have a great selection outside of that as well. The menu changes, but I can say some must haves are the burrata and the oysters!

I’m so disappointed especially because I saw many good ratings online. I have lived in France and been to many French restaurants including Michelins. The food here is low effort, small portion and over-priced. They are not authentic, more like fusion or creative dishes. There are also not many selections either. We three spent 139€ and walked out all hungry. It’s the first time I see a “French restaurant” not offering some bread or🥖 beside. Unbelievably the rating js so high. I can’t understand WHY. Maybe they deleted the low ratings? When the staff asked if we liked it, I said it’s good but very small portion. He just said yeah it’s small like this. He’s not listening in the customers feedback. I’ll not come again. Reply after the reply of the restaurant: Thank you for the comprehensive response. If the restaurant is French, then it makes more sense. You did offer souther European cuisine. I guess the name is just confusing to customers. Cuz when ppl talk about your restaurant, they say it’s a French. That’s also why we were there. We indeed spent 139€ in total as the receipt. It’s including the drinks. Regarding the portion.. actually no matter the main or small plate to the price is quite small in our opinions. The bread wasn’t a normal size - we were three, we ordered a basket of bread which came with 4 pieces. Full score! Very good service and excellent food. We were a party of 6 with different needs and they solved it with perfection. A place to visit again for sure!

When I actually got to be there the food and drinks were nice, however I give 1 star for the absolutely terrible service. Recently I have made a mistake booking a table at La Cote and ended up with a booking for a wrong date. By the time I realized the error it was too late to cancel for free as they have a fee for late cancellations. I did cancel anyway, but then to my surprise I was charged for 50EUR instead of 30EUR. I have contacted the establishment several times, but they have dismissed my questions, stating that their communication was clear on the fees. So I have checked the emails I was getting, and it turns out that only their first booking confirmation was listing a 25EUR per person fee, while a booking reminder (which I was looking at when cancelling) was stating a 15EUR per person fee, so did their cancellation email. Still they refused to return the difference and basically claimed that since the first email was saying 25 than everything is correct. This is a case of the poorest customer service I have seen in a long time, and it made me a detractor, not only I will never show up there again, I will make sure more people know about this pitiful behaviour.

I came away from this experience with mixed feelings. Some of the food was very delicious, the staff were nice overall, and the place is clean and modern. However, there were some areas where I was seriously underwhelmed. For example, while the cauliflower with popped bulgar was delicious and surprising, the octopus was not particularly well cooked and ended up somewhat chewy. Also, the drinks were good but the dessert we had tasted nice but presented as basically deflated whipped cream with almonds on it. I was there for a celebration and no one at our table felt like celebrating with such a dessert.

The food was incredibly good, the shrimp wasn't completely cooked through, we said that, a completely new plate arrived within 5 minutes that we didn't have to pay for, the service and the kitchen came to us and apologized. We really enjoyed the best food and service. 10/10 - it was great and everyone should eat here! Great ! That's exactly how it has to be.

First one in, waited 2 hours to get our main which had to be canceled. Tasted the wine but never got our glasses filled. Understaffed

Very nice atmosphere. Super welcoming and friendly service. Nice wine menu. Good cocktails. Good quality of starters. Average quality of main dish. Close call between 4 and 5 stars. But the main dish (Lasagna) just couldn’t live up to expectations, so it’s 4 stars. Might change it when I come back and have a better experience.

Beef Tartare Panipuri: Beef was fresh and had a good texture, but lacked flavor. Nothing exceptional, but worth trying. Croquettes: Crunchy outside and super soft inside with pecorino cheese. Chili sauce is delicious. Recommended. Veal w/ Egg: Green Goddess dressing is really delicious, veal totally lacked flavor. Not recommended. Lasagne: Very good. Soft beef cheek / tomato sauce / dill was a great combination. Definitely recommended. Sourdough bread and butter: Bread was very disappointing - simply not fresh. Butter might be the best one I ever had, like 10/10, not sure what was inside... Mezcal cocktails were exceptionally good. Tables for two on the entrance floor are way too close to each other. It is understandable for the restaurant to use the space wisely, but the proximity was compromising privacy a bit too much. We were practically sitting together with the couples on our right and left. Apart from that, the ambiance and music is nice. The service inside the place by the lady was really kind, however the speed was exceptionally bad. There is no excuse to have 30-minute gap between serving two small snacks. We paid 137 EUR for three small dishes, one large dish, five cocktails, water and bread. Considering the overall experience, I think it was worth it.
