We were a group of four and ate at Samos on Friday. We received a warm welcome, the food was excellent and plentiful, and the service was very attentive. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

We went to the Greek restaurant Samos in Elmshorn, and everything was perfect. The food was excellent. I had gyros with bifteki, fries, and tzatziki. It was delicious, well-seasoned, and incredibly fresh. I also appreciated the small salad served beforehand; it was a nice touch. The service was friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive—just what you want. I also liked the atmosphere: cozy and perfect for a relaxed meal. All in all, a great experience—we'll definitely be back and highly recommend Samos.

The transport service of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) held its Christmas party here in December 2025. We enjoyed a delicious meal, had a wonderful time, and a few drinks as well 😉 We loved the good food, the drinks, and the personal service, and the experience helped us bond even more as a team. For me, Samos is the best restaurant in the entire area – everything is just perfect. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. I'd especially like to highlight the lovely and cozy atmosphere. They still have classic tablecloths, which are sadly rare these days and make dining out so much more enjoyable. Especially in Elmshorn, the options for truly good food are becoming increasingly scarce. I'm all the more grateful for the tip that led me to this restaurant – in my opinion, it deserves even more than five stars. I will definitely be back and am so glad I found this fantastic restaurant. Another plus: there's parking right in front. Highly recommended!

A truly fantastic Greek restaurant! The atmosphere is very cozy, and the large aquarium is definitely a real eye-catcher. My husband and I ate here for the first time today. The ambiance is beautiful. The restaurant was very busy (which speaks volumes for the place), but we still got a table and received incredibly polite service. And there's no confusion here, too bad I didn't take a picture. Everything is fresh and delicious, but if I order a gyro for seniors, I don't want to be served a meager children's plate and I don't want to pay for it either.

A very nice Greek restaurant in Elmshorn! We were at Samos with four people and had a great time. By 8:00 p.m., the restaurant was completely full – which is usually a good sign. Luckily, we had a reservation and got a nice table. The menu offers a wide selection – almost too wide, as it's hard to decide. The quality of the dishes was consistently very good. We particularly want to highlight the mussels: clean, all open, and absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere cozy – you just feel welcome here. We ate there last week. The dishes were well prepared and delicious, and the service was truly attentive and friendly. The ambiance was also pleasant, and the noise level was perfectly acceptable between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The only, and unfortunately disappointing, point was that we weren't told when we made the reservation that we only had a three-hour time slot and that the next guests were already at our table at 8:00 PM. Unfortunately, we had to leave quite abruptly, which wasn't very pleasant. It would have been fine if we'd been told this beforehand.

It couldn't be better. Best Greek food I've tried. 5+ star ambiance and service. Food was just as good. Was the traffic jam in front of the Elbe Tunnel worth it. And yes, we were there again without the Elbe Tunnel traffic jam 😁 Only satisfied customers come back. We are satisfied and will come back.

You receive a very warm and friendly welcome and are escorted to your table. The staff is friendly and helpful. They cater to your every need and every need. The food tastes excellent. I went with my girlfriend; we made a last-minute reservation during the week. The staff were professionally trained and very friendly. A greeting from the kitchen. There were also quite a few older people. We were the only young people there (20-21). We got a table in the middle, but we still didn't feel like we were being watched. The food was great! Except for my Coke; I probably got one that had been open a bit longer and had a little less fizz. Otherwise, I was really impressed; you're not used to that for Elmshorn, such a good overall package. I highly recommend it.

Today we wanted Greek food and ended up at Samos in Elmshorn. We've ordered and picked up food there during the coronavirus pandemic, but haven't eaten in yet. And what can I say: this is now our favorite Greek restaurant in Elmshorn. Thanks for the great food and the excellent service.

Elegant ambiance: high-quality table linens; cutlery, glasses, and napkins stylish and elegant. No kitsch. Absolutely beautiful. We received excellent service and were seated two times despite not having a reservation. The food was delicious, the portions were adequate—not too much, not too little. The value for money was excellent. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back.

The food and service were very good; there's absolutely nothing to complain about. However, I find the COVID-19 measures and the general attitude toward the topic questionable. We felt very uncomfortable, as the tables were so close together that I could have touched three strangers with my half-outstretched arm. There's virtually no ventilation, and the waiter's greeting, "You don't need a mask here," doesn't exactly inspire trust. While Elmshorn (or Schleswig-Holstein) has more relaxed regulations than other German states due to the low incidence, the subjective impression of whether you feel safe and comfortable also counts, and unfortunately, that wasn't the case for us. I'm not particularly afraid of COVID-19 anymore (thanks in part to the vaccination), but even before the COVID-19 pandemic, I would have complained that it was far too crowded and stuffy. Does that really have to be the case during the pandemic? What a shame! We felt uncomfortable here and probably won't come back. // Response to the owner's feedback: Thank you for your detailed feedback. You're absolutely right in principle, but no one checked our vaccination certificates that evening, which is why we feared that other guests might not have been checked either. I'm happy to have increased my star rating to three, but unfortunately, I can't give more than that for a restaurant I won't be returning to. Even under normal circumstances, it would be far too crowded and cramped, completely apart from the coronavirus situation. A pleasant evening would look different. // My final response: No, we were already there last Saturday. Your waiter handed us the menu, took our drinks, and left. The portions were a good size. The quality of the meat was very good. It was juicy, tender, and low in fat. Compared to other Greek restaurants, it was rather lightly seasoned, which brought out the delicious meat flavor. The fries were average, but the spice mix was tasty and original. The tzatziki was clearly homemade, but could have used a bit more garlic. The staff were very friendly, and we received our food about half an hour after ordering. We made a reservation in advance, so we didn't have to wait. The decor was very nice. "Typical" Greek style with an aquarium in the middle of the restaurant. Everything looked very clean, uniform, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, all the lights were on even in daylight, so it was a bit glaring. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant; we will definitely be back.

I was surprised by other friends outside the restaurant, and despite the restaurant being quite busy, we all managed to get a nice seat. Randomly chosen on one of our tours. Friendly, attentive service. The ambiance is standard, but with a Greek touch. The salad is standard, and the dressing is nothing special, and a bit lacking for my taste. An olive or something similar would enhance it. So, now let's get started. On the main street, small and easily overlooked. Nevertheless, they managed to create a peaceful space. The Pythagoras plate with Greek rice was amazing. The rice was cooked to perfection and served with a delicious sauce; the satziki was definitely homemade, creamy and excellently seasoned. The gyro was tender and classically seasoned, but not as strongly as you'd expect. This allowed the flavor of the meat to still be clearly perceptible. The ground beef steak was perfectly seasoned and also really juicy. Here, you can tell that the well-being of the guest is their top priority. Even though it's over 100km away from us, we'll remember this restaurant. It's best to make a reservation, as you're not always lucky enough to get a seat there. And we know why 😉 Thanks to the service staff and chefs. Keep up the good work.
