Restaurant Ropoto in Langenhagen

We've been there several times now. Whether it's for big birthdays, small family gatherings, or just a meal for two – it's always a highlight. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the service is friendly! The salad bar is a good starting point, and we highly recommend the gyros in Metaxa sauce, followed by the "brand new" tiramisu for dessert. A real treat!

Went there with 9 colleagues. Everyone was very satisfied; delicious food across the entire menu, good and attentive service, spent 4 pleasant hours there, more than reasonable price...

We ate there last night. Pleasant atmosphere, tables not too close together, and friendly service. The food was good, although the portions were a bit small. But definitely recommended!

We ordered a plate of gyros, which was delicious and crispy. Just the way we like it. The portion was just right, not too big and not too small. We were pleasantly full afterward, so it didn't sit heavy in our stomachs 😊 For us, tzatziki is part of the gyros. So we ordered a portion of tzatziki (appetizer) with it. The portion was/is €6.20. I was quite shocked at first glance by the price, thinking, "Oh, just wait and see." But when this small portion of three heaped spoons (just under 3 tablespoons) arrived at the table, phew, I was honestly quite stunned...😲 We're well aware that prices are rising, and when we go out for a good meal, we're happy to pay a little more if the food is of correspondingly good quality. But honestly, this small portion of tzatziki is disproportionate!!! Really! The plate of gyros cost just under €16. It was delicious, and the staff were all very attentive and friendly. But for three small piles of tzatziki (€6.20) compared to the main course (€16), Sorry, but €3.50/€4 for such a meager portion would have been more appropriate! Or they could have increased the tzatziki portion for that price. We enjoyed it, but honestly, for us, tzatziki belongs with gyros, but 'no,' that's out of proportion and borders on outrageous. As much as I'm sorry to say it. So, we only give it 🌟🌟🌟

The food tastes average. The salad bar isn't particularly large, and the salad dressings are just standard ones you can buy in stores, so nothing special. I find the food portions ridiculously small for a plate that costs €24. You'd have to buy two portions to feel full. I'd rather go to another Greek restaurant next time, for example, Corfu, which is very close by.

🍽️ Today I had the gyro baked with Metaxa sauce. Unfortunately, the gyro was a bit gristly and greasy 😕. 🍚 The rice, on the other hand, was really good, and the salad was also very tasty 🥗. 👉 For starters, I had feta in a sesame crust with honey – an absolute dream 🤩, incredibly delicious! 🍨 To finish off, there was even a dessert on the house. I think it was Greek yogurt with peach – super refreshing 🍑. 💁‍♂️ The service was very friendly and attentive 👍. All in all, I'm satisfied and will definitely be back 😊. I just hope the gyro was a one-time mistake 🙏.

We ate here for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. The warmth and hospitality greeted us as soon as we entered. The food was delicious, and the menu selection left nothing to be desired. During our stay, the entire team treated us wonderfully and very accommodatingly. The dessert, a recommendation, was also delicious (puff pastry with a delicious semolina filling and ice cream). We'll be back. Thank you very much!

Super friendly service. Individual requests are catered for. Very tasty. I highly recommend the sea bream, the gyro, the liver, and the garlic bread. The salad buffet could be a bit more extensive.

I love visiting Ropoto with my family once in a while. The staff is really nice and even gifted me a glass of honey with honeycombs for my birthday. They also always give us a free dessert when coming and it‘s delicious. Ropoto undoubtedly serves some of the best Greek food in Hannover. I have tried multiple Greek Restaurants in Hannover, but I always keep coming back to Ropoto the food is delicious the staff is nice and the atmosphere is also very chill. They also offer some limited dishes (the meat/fish is fresh(I think??) and they only hv limited amount to make those dishes). I don’t personally enjoy their salad buffet too much, but that just comes from my lack of understanding for seasoning dishes. That aside I always love coming here and hope to visit again soon

2021 We were in Ropoto for the first time (tip from the neighbor) and we were really excited. The food, the hospitality, the atmosphere here are unique and we will definitely come back. Addendum from January 4th, 2025 Unfortunately the portions have become smaller. I only had 20 fries and a rice ball like it came from a small ice cream spoon. That's been the case twice now. You have to eat your fill of the salad buffet to get enough of the main course. Simple from the outside, but nicely decorated inside. Nice service. Very good salad buffet, something you don't expect from a Greek restaurant. Plenty of selection from the menu. Delicious food but not as plentiful as before at normal prices. First there was an ouzo and at the end a small dessert. Clear thumb to the side

Super delicious food in a great atmosphere... it can get crowded here and there, but that also has its charm. The host and the waiters are extremely friendly. Not our first visit and certainly not our last either! Stay healthy and keep it up. See you next time.

Great service, the food was very good and plentiful. We were there with 10 colleagues after a company event and almost all of them didn't quite finish their portion. That's saying something for hungry truck drivers.

I was in the restaurant on October 5, 2024. There were three of us and luckily we had a reservation because at 6 p.m. it was already packed. The service was extremely fast and extremely friendly, despite the apparent stress. My sister and I had number 52, a griddle. Absolutely recommended, 5 stars, the lamb chop 6 stars. You can get salad from the buffet. Definitely try it, extremely crunchy and fresh and out of the ordinary. Very happy again, it was a very nice evening.

An inconspicuous restaurant from the outside. Inside you will be greeted by typical Greek hospitality. The dishes are the classics of Greek cuisine as we are used to here. Everything was very tasty and in more than sufficient quantities. The staff is very friendly, attentive and you feel welcome. Be sure to reserve as it can get crowded, especially on weekends! Unfortunately, Ropoto increased prices twice within 4 months. The food is delicious, but I don't go there anymore. Overall, that’s more than a 30 percent increase. Really disgraceful and very unfortunate. As a result, the restaurant lost my sympathy.

I was at Ropoto for the first time today. Everything is right here! Totally nice and attentive service, delicious fresh food and beautiful outdoor seating. If you want good Greek food you have to go to Ropoto!
