Restaurant Roma München in München

I ordered a pizza with extra olives via Lieferando (1€ extra). What I received was a pizza with a fried egg. The part of the pizza without the egg was really tasty. I think the Vitello Tonnato is too expensive at 17€, considering there was hardly any sauce on it. The Calzone pizza was very full but had hardly any tomato sauce.

Breakfast and lunch are always worth a visit. A regular ritual during visits to the OEZ.

A generally quiet restaurant with excellent service and very good food and desserts. Highly recommended. The friendliness and completely unobtrusive attentiveness are particularly noteworthy.

We had a reservation for 24.12. Confirmed by the owner by mail but when we arrived it was closed. He could at least have cancelled the reservation.

I took advantage of the lunch specials at this restaurant and was very, very satisfied. The pizza was generously topped, and the crust was nice and thin and crispy. The salad, with its dressing made from good oils, was also excellent. Even the fact that the owner seemed a bit stressed during the lunch rush, in my opinion, added to the positive atmosphere.

Authentic Italian cuisine, highly recommended!

Excellent place, everything is very well-kept, with a good selection of dishes and pizzas, and even the desserts are top-notch. One of the best coffees I've had in Munich. The wine list is also good. Italian is also spoken. Very attentive and friendly service. Prices are average for Munich and fair for the type of place and service.

We had a reservation for six people (there was a small error on the restaurant's end, so we had to wait a bit until a solution was found – a small token of appreciation from the restaurant would have been nice), but we then had a very delicious meal and drinks. Very attentive service and great food. You deserve a treat now and then...

We had such a wonderful evening at Roma! The owner apologized several times because they were short-staffed due to illness, which sometimes caused a little delay, but that didn't bother us at all because everything was so fantastic. Even though it was very busy, you didn't feel cramped and could easily have a conversation. A great, comfortable atmosphere. The food blew us away! The pizza rolls as a starter were delicious, everything on the appetizer platter was super fresh and of the finest quality, especially the meat! The pizza was the perfect size, with great dough and plenty of toppings, and the homemade pasta was incredibly good too. And all at totally fair prices. I rarely write a review like this, but we were simply thrilled.

Edit: I've downgraded my rating from 3 stars to one because the boss actually tried to attack me in front of the entrance between the restaurant and the ice cream parlor. XD That he even tried that against me. Keep an eye on what they're doing, even outside. If that guy attacks me again, call the police. The food is excellent. However, while the staff are friendly, they're sometimes unhygienic. I did a trial shift there, and they kept things from me and didn't explain many things, so they didn't have to hire me. One of them didn't like me because he hates his job. And they smoke in the restaurant, where the tables are near the entrance, when there aren't any customers. I ask them to stop. However, I must say that they treat the customers very well, and their unhygienic behavior doesn't extend to the tables. I'm more concerned about the physical and mental health of the staff—the waiters, cooks, and bosses.

We only went there because of a voucher in our Schlemmerblock (a discount booklet) and were very pleasantly surprised. Beautifully decorated, friendly service, and a menu that was impressive in both variety and taste. Prices were reasonable.

Unfortunately, I wasn't that satisfied with my pasta dish; the pasta was overcooked, and the eggplant, ugh, just wasn't for me. Otherwise, it's a cozy place, and the pizzas are highly recommended.

Beautiful, authentic restaurant with attentive, very friendly staff and delicious food. Weekly special menu. Reasonable prices for what's on offer. Parking is a bit difficult, but otherwise the location is convenient (close to trams, etc.).

This was amazing experience!!! Starting with warm and pleasant service continue to a great and very tasty food!! Each dish was bringing the true Italian experience, with deep and amazing tastes!! This is a place to drive to, and I’ll would get back to this place now, every time I’m back to Munich! My hottest recommendation!

We had the pizza delivered. I was absolutely thrilled! I've rarely eaten such a delicious pizza. I had the pizza bread with Parmesan. The people on the phone were also really nice to me. (I accidentally gave the wrong name on Lieferando, but they were able to resolve the issue quickly and courteously.) I'd be happy to go back. ☺️ I'm already looking forward to the next time I'm in Munich and can eat there.

I had tagliatelle with salmon and zucchini, which tasted excellent. Very good and friendly service and excellent food. It was busy at lunchtime, so reservations are best. Highly recommended.

Hello everyone. We celebrated my son's birthday (35 years old). A good Italian restaurant for a family or friendly dinner. The atmosphere is great, cozy and friendly with decent guests. Good Italian cuisine without any special frills, but people come here to spend time in a pleasant conversation and eat deliciously. The price tag is slightly above the average for Munich, but not critical. I recommend visiting for a change of scenery, you will be pleased!

First, we had to wait 20 minutes before we could place our order. Meanwhile, other guests who arrived after us (presumably regulars) had already received theirs. My husband had a great pizza, but unfortunately, the edges were a bit burnt. I had spinach with mozzarella. There was only a bit of cheese in the middle, but none at all on the edges. So, it was very dry. We'll never go there again, which is a shame.

The food was mediocre, nothing special. Service was very poor! If I could give it zero stars, I would. Drinks on the bill that I didn't have. When I pointed this out to the staff, I was called "impossible" and told that I wanted every cent back.

It's often crowded on weekends, perhaps because the food is truly delicious and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the positive reviews. We got our starter before the drinks. The drinks didn't arrive for 30 minutes. By the time the last of us had our food, the first had already finished. The spritz drinks (mango spritz, Lillet) didn't taste good. We waited another 30 minutes for the second beer. The worst part came when we paid. One of the drinks we had wasn't recorded on our bill. I was charged for another one which was €3.70 more expensive. They also wanted to charge me for three beers because I ordered three but only got two. When we wanted a refund for the difference for the overcharged drink, the waiter then scolded us. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our visit to the restaurant and cannot recommend it.

Worst restaurant visit ever! We waited over an hour for drinks and food, which wasn't even tasty. Service was abysmally bad, the waiter was completely overwhelmed and unfriendly, and on top of that, the bill was incorrect and too high. In the end, we were told that our table was unsuitable.

Long waiting times, no special food and in my opinion too expensive... plus incorrect bills, so unfortunately not recommended.

We spent a very pleasant evening here. The mixed appetizer platter was very good, and the spaghetti carbonara was absolutely divine. Carbonara should be made the same way. The pizzas were average. We deducted a few points for the ambiance because the entrance door doesn't seem to be airtight, which allows cigarette smoke to seep into the restaurant.

Every few weeks, I treat myself to dinner at Restaurant Roma with a special friend. While the price is a bit higher than for home-style dining, it's worth every euro. The warm welcome, usually from the chef himself, is warm, and the service team looks after guests with charm and attention. Within minutes, it feels like we're in beautiful Italy. The food is delicious. My favorite is the scampi salad with avocado, preceded by a generous appetizer plate as the perfect starter. I pair it with a glass of wine, which I simply ask for from the extensive wine list—I've never gone wrong with that. I love it at Restaurant Roma, especially in the summer when you can sit outside. (It can get a bit crowded inside, which speaks volumes about the quality.)

Where is the option for six stars? This place serves incredible food! The tomato soup and the buffalo mozzarella pizza were epic delicious! Some of the best we’ve ever had across Europe. Wow!

We were there on Saturday evening, not Sunday as falsely suggested! By making that assumption, you disqualify yourself as a restaurateur. I know perfectly well where I was.

Reasonable prices for the quality of food. We had seafood spaghetti and grilled sea bass. The fish was fresh and big portion. Would love to come again and try other dishes.

An authentic and delicious family-run Italian restaurant. Delicious dishes are served with great attention and humor. I especially recommend the surprise menu. We've been there several times.

I've eaten there before, and the pizza was really delicious. But the service is even better. Also, I accidentally ordered for pickup later and went to the wrong restaurant. The manager was so accommodating and didn't charge me for the pizza. Thank you so much for that, Bona Sierra

The best Italian restaurant in Munich!!!!

Last night I went to dinner with a friend using a voucher from the Schlemmerblock Munich. We had stated this before ordering. As a greeting from the kitchen, we were served a bowl of olives and homemade bread, the excellent quality of both of which you could immediately taste. The service from an Italian lady was extremely attentive and friendly. We ordered spaghetti with seafood and saltimbocca, both rather expensive dishes, of which the cheaper one was free. Both were very good! After the meal we were brought two caffè affogato on the house (small ice cream with a scoop of vanilla ice cream), which was also very nice and you always had the impression that the owners would do anything to make you come back a second time without a voucher. The restaurant was busy and I got the impression that there were a lot of regulars. We too decided that last night was not our last visit to Roma!

Incredible from start to finish. Every dish is delicious. The penne arrabiata is especially recommended! The service and atmosphere are excellent!

A fairly average Italian restaurant in my opinion. There were several of us, and the service was always attentive and friendly. What immediately struck us was the difference in prices between the online and in-store menus. The online menu seems outdated; many things are cheaper there. The food arrived quickly and was tasty, although the pizzas had quite a lot of crust and therefore less topping. Pasta was okay. There's no bread or anything similar for the table beforehand, just a small bowl of olives.

Nice restaurant The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, our group wasn't happy with the food. There were 11 of us (reservations were made), and the menu was only set for 10 people. This was quickly resolved by adding a chair and fixing a hook. Of the 11, 2 received the wrong food. 3 pizzas had black bases. We ordered one and had to exchange it because they were out of stock. 2 said it was good, the rest said it was OK, but nothing more. My opinion: For the price, I would have expected more.

Pizza still highly recommended! In short, I've eaten pizza here many times and today I had Tagliatelle Bolognese for the first time, almost always to take away. Regarding the pizza: 4/5 stars in terms of taste and 5/5 stars in terms of price/performance because it is very large and richly topped at fair prices and also For the Tagliatelle Bolognese: taste wise 2/5 stars & price/performance 3/5 because it tastes like a pretty thin tomato sauce with mince instead of bolognese, but the portion size is decent. The staff is always very friendly.

We went to eat in their restaurant on Wednesday evening, we arrived after dinner time and were greeted in a really kind way. I asked if my little fur baby could come in and they welcomed him with a smile... which isn't for everyone in Germany. We were recommended by the waiter for a dish of mixed fish and vegetables which was ABSOLUTELY APPROVED! A nice chat with the very hospitable owner. RECOMMENDED PLACE FROM ALL POINTS OF VIEW!!!

Food was fine. Atmosphere was terrible. There was clearly an argument between staff which was obvious despite language barrier. We felt our table settings and orders were thrown at us. Plates were removed before everyone had finished meal which is a big no,no for me. Other customers were also in dispute with staff. I noted one lady's pizza base was black and another customer was charged for something he hadn't ordered. Really disappointed as we had returned having had a good experience on a previous evening. Waiter even asked if we wanted to add a service charge to our bill which I thought was presumptuous.

I ordered here via Lieferando and the delivery time was over an hour and the pizza was cold and completely torn. After a phone call you were only rejected on Lieferando and a new delivery was rejected. What kind of service is this?! No recommendation!

The highlight of our visit to ROMA was the vitello tonnato, super tasty! We also really enjoyed the pizza. The service was top notch and very personable. The store came across as totally authentic, with a diverse crowd from (very) young to old. Highly recommended.

I had an outstandingly good Pizza Capricciosa. It really was the best pizza I've had in a long time. The dessert was also lovingly prepared and very tasty. The wine list is very extensive and the prices are affordable for Munich. Very satisfied!!!

Friendly welcome, without a reservation we were still able to get a table for 5 people on Friday evening. Attentive and quick service. Food of good quality and solid, Italian preparation. The ambience is characterized by a typical Italian trattoria flair. Attractive weekly menu that is characterized by fresh availability - what's out is out and that's a good thing.

I often eat in this restaurant alone or with friends, and everything is always perfect. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who understands food, enjoys it and wants to feel good.

First of all: We ate very well. The food was really very good. However: We reserved a table for 4 people in advance via Quandoo. This reservation was also accepted and confirmed. When we were in the restaurant at the relevant time, we were informed that we had not received the reservation because we were not in the restaurant at the time. They still had a table for us. After we had eaten and drank a lot and ordered a nightcap, the boss came to us and made it clear to us that our table had already been reserved for the next guests and that we should therefore come to the end. We then assured that we wanted to leave anyway after ordering the drinks, whereupon we were asked: “Are you sure?” We found that a bit outrageous given the bill was almost 170 euros. Conclusion: Quality of the food is great! Ambiance: Very nice, we felt comfortable. However, if you offer an online reservation system, you should ensure that you use it correctly. I would like to decide for myself when I leave a restaurant and don't like being thrown out.

Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the food, the pasta and fish were bad. 🤢 you get something out of it for longer…. One of the waiters then met us in a very cheeky, snippy and unfriendly manner. His boss at least reimbursed us for the dish. Still, all in all not worth a visit! Not recommended

We are neighbors and have actually always had good experiences here. But today we got to know the other side of the boss. Four of us dined here with a reservation and had two voucher books with us. We communicated from the start that we would pay separately and always redeem two vouchers. That was a big problem for the otherwise friendly boss. He evaporated by saying that he had to ask questions (why is he the boss?) and then didn't come to our table again. A waiter then took over our table. At first he didn't allow us to have two bills with two vouchers, then when he pointed out that there was probably no problem at the neighboring table and that two vouchers on one table worked perfectly, we accepted it too. From that moment on our order was taken, but no one took care of us anymore. As the only table in the otherwise relatively full restaurant, we were not brought any olives or parmesan to the table. In addition, a pizza was brought in the wrong way (which is not a problem and can happen from time to time) and it was not exchanged when asked, but something was simply slapped on top in a careless manner. And all without consulting us. We then ate the pizza as it was there, but we didn't order it that way. There wasn't a word of apology for this, which is actually absurd for me and shouldn't be included in any service. For the rest of the evening we were largely ignored and only served when specifically asked. When we asked for the bill, we didn't get two bills as we wanted, but only one. We were actually looking forward to a nice and delicious evening at Roma and went home with a bad feeling. That's not how we imagined it. This is not professional behavior from the boss and also not professional service. That's no way to look after the neighborhood and we won't be coming back for a while - it's a shame! Why is the voucher book offered at Roma if the owner seems to have such a big problem with it? Everyone can still decide for their own restaurant what to offer and what not. We still ate deliciously!

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience at this restaurant, although the initial visit was very promising. Due to many positive reviews, we reserved a table online on Saturday at 5:45 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant at 5:35 p.m. and gave our name, the reservation book was flipped through and we were told to wait at the side first, then another waiter came, asked the name again and brought us without checking anything , to the next best place. Apparently we didn't have a reservation, but since we were able to sit down without any problem, that shouldn't be a problem. We ordered drinks, appetizers and main courses, and our waitress was even kind enough to ask in the kitchen whether a main course could be prepared without garlic. We didn't receive any information as to whether it would be possible, but even that didn't really matter to us as we would have been just as happy with the substitute dish. We received the drinks and appetizer (unfortunately the appetizer I ordered, burrata, was already out, but even that was ok) and everything was to his satisfaction. Other guests came next to us, received their food and paid, then others came etc. while we were still waiting for our main courses. At around 7 p.m. we asked our waitress and was told that we had to leave in about 20 minutes because we had tickets for an event at 8 p.m. Our waitress assured us that the kitchen was working on our dishes and that the food would be ready in 5 minutes. At 7:20 p.m., still without a main course, we called our waiter again, apologized and had to tell him that we unfortunately wanted to cancel our meal and pay. Keller was understanding and also apologized. It was disappointing and unfortunate, but even that was still within reason. Suddenly the boss (cook?) stood next to us and snapped at us that the food was ready and we had to eat it now. We said no and said that unfortunately we didn't have any more time. He got even angrier and said we have to pay for it now. We refused again and said we had been waiting for 1 1/2 hours and now we had to leave because of our event. He accused us of having told us that we didn't have that long and that we should pay for the meal. We explained again that at 7 p.m. we had already said that we had no more time and, moreover, why should we set a schedule with a restaurant, especially after the people sitting next to us who came later got their food before us. Something went terribly wrong in the organization. The waiter and boss swore at each other. The waiter should have let us know, the waiter claimed he had asked the kitchen often enough. The boss left angrily, we paid for what we ate and wanted to tip the waiter, who really couldn't help it and did a good job, which he firmly refused. It may be a good restaurant, there was nothing to complain about in terms of service, but to be treated like that and to force and accuse you of something as a really patient guest in a tone that is not professional is really not acceptable. Very unfortunate. By the way, we arrived at our event 10 minutes late, were hungry and completely exhausted. Thanks for that. Addendum: As you can clearly see in the owner's reply, the incredible professionalism and friendliness comes through here again. The ability to take criticism is also very important here. Reading a review correctly and understanding the times given, as well as the problem that our order was simply forgotten because everyone else after us received their dishes before us and we were then accused of poor time management is also very nice see. Have a wonderful day, the spiteful and ignorant customer.
