A beautifully located restaurant with excellent, traditional cuisine. With very friendly staff. Prices are perfectly reasonable 👌

On our way back from Lindau, we found this restaurant. It has a clubhouse feel, with super friendly service. A big plus is that many dishes are gluten-free, even the Kaiserschmarren! The portions are great, especially considering the price. When it's full, it's hard to get a seat. So, it's best to make a reservation. We were lucky!

We were at the Postkutsche on a Sunday at the peak of dinner time. The restaurant was packed, but we were still lucky and managed to snag two seats as a couple was leaving. Despite the incredible stress, the service was exemplary, super nice, always attentive, and very friendly. A big compliment to the entire staff. The food was great, it arrived quickly, and it was absolutely delicious. You can only take your hat off to this team. Chapeau!

I was truly thrilled with this restaurant! I received a warm welcome upon entering and immediately felt at home. The ambiance is cozy, tastefully decorated, and inviting. The food was absolutely outstanding – freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and a true highlight. I can especially recommend the roast beef with onions; it was simply perfect. The drinks selection also leaves nothing to be desired. The service was attentive, friendly, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. You can tell the passion they put into their work. The value for money is absolutely spot on, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. A true favorite restaurant – highly recommended!

A week ago, three of us went for dinner again. We had reserved a table on the terrace. As always, all the staff were very friendly and attentive, despite the tables being full. The food was, as usual, very good and at a very reasonable price, which is rare these days. We also went with 12 people, and the service was very prompt. Kudos to the service and also to the kitchen staff for preparing everything so deliciously. As always, highly recommended. Keep up the good work.

I ate at the Postkutsche with my daughter last night. The food was delicious, the meat cooked to perfection... The value for money is hard to beat (a grilled plate for under €20). But what impressed me most was the service! The restaurant was packed, with new guests coming in all the time (sometimes even a small queue), and the staff were incredibly friendly, totally relaxed, and accommodating the entire time. That's something you really can't take for granted, and it's definitely a reason for me to come back! Please keep up the good work!

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. The food was delicious, especially the roasted onions with the onion roast were very tasty. The service, both senior and junior chef, was very friendly.

Absolutely recommended!! We've been to Scheidegg twice now for vacation. We've been guests at the restaurant a few times. The staff has been extremely friendly and accommodating every time! People with celiac disease or gluten intolerance are in excellent hands here! The food is truly delicious, and we would definitely recommend it.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance during our vacation and haven't regretted it. After an initial taste, we went there eight times during a two-week vacation. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Five days a week, the good selection is complemented by themed dishes. Schnitzel Day, Pizza Day, etc. Most of the complete meals were priced between €15 and €18. A roast beef with onions and salad and side dishes was around €22. I personally loved the Kaiserschmarren with separately pickled rum raisins and apple sauce. I've rarely eaten such great Kaiserschmarren. The staff was always friendly and always had a kind word to say, even under extreme pressure. We were mostly served by Bettina and Tobi. They were sometimes able to anticipate our every need after the first few days. If I'm correctly informed, Tobi is the junior boss of the "family business." I can recommend this restaurant without reservation.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't seasoned properly. Perhaps they were adapting to the surrounding health clinics' gentle cooking practices. Otherwise, the food was simple and normal. The schnitzel was good.

It's worth making a reservation, as many seats are reserved and many locals also eat here (always a good sign).

Highly recommended. The food was delicious; everyone could choose something. It was really nice that the children got their food first. The price/performance ratio is excellent. The food is still cooked properly. But what deserves special mention is the service our waitress provided us today. Incredibly friendly and accommodating, she exuded calm and serenity despite the terrace being full. It was a pleasure to be pampered like that. Simply superb.

Such good service is rare. They anticipate your every wish before you even speak it. Most of the dishes on the menu are available as gluten-free options. And both with and without gluten, they taste better than at home! Dogs are allowed inside and outside, on a leash, of course. The outdoor terrace offers elevated seating and a beautiful view. The holiday village where the restaurant is located has a huge playground and other play areas.

After our dog wasn't welcome at another restaurant in Scheidegg, we stumbled upon the Postkutsche quite by chance. Getting a table wasn't a problem, even though almost all of them had reservations. The food was delicious. I had the "Leiterwägele" (ladder-carved dish) and my wife had venison goulash. The portions were perfectly adequate, almost too much of a good thing. The service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended, and the price was absolutely reasonable.

We ate on the Postkutsche terrace on a beautiful summer evening, with a fantastic view and a pleasant atmosphere. We received quick and friendly service. The food was a star. The price was fair, which is unfortunately not something you see very often these days. We particularly liked the chilled glass bottles and the lemon in every glass. We come from near Munich and were surprised at how well quality service and fair pricing can go together.

As soon as you enter the outdoor area, you can sense the sophisticated, relaxed atmosphere. The terrace is invitingly designed, with lovingly set tables and attentive service staff who are friendly without being intrusive. I opted for the cheese spaetzle – a true classic, reinterpreted here. The spaetzle were handmade, wonderfully soft, yet slightly chewy. The cheese blend was robust yet balanced, and topped with perfectly browned fried onions. A hint of chives and a slice of tomato rounded everything off not only visually but also tastefully. Simply fantastic! This was accompanied by a mixed side salad – fresh, crisp, and varied. Cucumbers with herb dressing, mild coleslaw, carrots with light cream, pickled beans, and a delicate potato salad provided variety on the plate. Each ingredient had its own character and demonstrated that the food is still cooked with genuine craftsmanship and respect for the product. What particularly struck me: Regionality is a top priority here, and you can taste it. It's the little things – the fresh ingredients, the calm service, the loving presentation – that make this restaurant special. Conclusion: For me, it was an all-around successful lunch. Anyone looking for authentic Swabian cuisine in a cozy setting is in good hands at the Postkutsche in Scheidegg. I'll definitely be back – and bring friends.

Lots of convenience food. The salad bar didn't look very inviting, and the green lettuce was wilted with brown edges. The salad plate prepared in the kitchen was, in my opinion, just pre-made salads, lovingly slapped onto the plate and topped with instant sauce. It came with a dry baguette and a breaded fried schnitzel. The service, however, was excellent: fast, friendly, and accommodating to requests. Gluten-free dishes were available.

Everything just fits perfectly here. Run by father and son, the restaurant combines the good qualities of traditional and contemporary cuisine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Stagecoach is the BEST for me. It's also suitable for large parties and events. We've already admired the preparations for a wedding with 75 people. We always love coming back!

We came here for gluten-free food and were not disappointed. We had a (breaded!) schnitzel with cheese spaetzle, made to order, at no extra charge. A "small" portion of Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) was available for dessert. The prices for the food were reasonable by today's standards, and the drinks were average. We came across the stagecoach by chance and were so impressed after our first visit that we went straight back the next day. The food is so incredibly delicious and the prices are more than fair. In addition, the selection of gluten-free dishes is exceptionally large. My wife celebrated it so much. In addition, the service is nice and courteous. Unfortunately, the schnitzel didn't taste like anything, and the fried potatoes that came with it were partly very black/burned. In my opinion, food waste. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the card, despite repeated requests. The prices are good, but I'm happy to pay more if it tastes good. :)

Service very friendly but slow. Unfortunately, the food tasted like nothing and old oil. We had a breaded schnitzel with spaetzle and a Bavarian schnitzel with fried potatoes - some of which were badly burnt. Salad from the buffet was OK, although in our case (12:30 p.m.) some of it was already completely gone or only available very little. Unfortunately, the Flädlesuppe didn't taste like anything either.

The two of us were there for dinner recently. We had onion roast with fried potatoes and pork fillet with cheese spaetzle. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, and the fried potatoes were the best we had eaten in a long time. Crispy on the outside and excellently seasoned. The service and food are excellent here. Would love to come back.

The Postkutsche restaurant impresses with its child-friendly atmosphere, which is somewhat reminiscent of a youth hostel, and extremely friendly service. The portions are large, tasty and inexpensive. We had onion roast with fried potatoes and salad (€22.80), Schwabentopf (€17.90) and rump steak with fries and salad (€22.80). Highly recommended! Due to its popularity, reservations are advisable.
