The restaurant was recommended to me but was told it was expensive. No, it's not expensive, it's high quality, and quality has to be paid for. Very easy. The space is beautifully designed clean, well maintained, with modern Greek aesthetics. No kitschy columns, no statues, no exaggerated decoration, everything is discreetly, stylishly and tastefully decorated, just as it should be. An atmosphere that really makes you feel good. The staff was friendly, attentive and looked after us excellently. We had a Cypriot salad with halloumi, arugula and pine nuts, fava with octopus and baby calamari and Mastelo cheese from Chios as starters. For main courses we had gyros with hand-cut fries, the village plate and additional baby calamari. For dessert there were two excellent desserts with pistachios and white chocolate and a dessert with chocolate mousse - light, fresh and very tasty. The restaurant also stands out when it comes to drinking: You can order tsipouro with or without anise, not the usual ouzo that you get everywhere. At the end you are politely asked whether you would like a mastiha or a limoncello – a lovely, stylish gesture. There is also an excellent selection of Greek wines (no imiglikos, Athos and table wines), as well as the excellent Mataroa Gin for real connoisseurs. At the end there was a perfectly made Freddo Cappuccino and Freddo Espresso - and at that moment the feeling of Greece completely flowed through us. Bravo guys, keep it up! If my path takes me here again, I will definitely come back!

We came from Munich and spontaneously decided to have lunch at Poseidon and were very impressed by the quality and service. The atmosphere is very well maintained and there are comfortable chairs.

An absolute highlight! The food is simply fantastic – fresh, authentic and prepared with a lot of love. The appetizer plate in particular is a poem. The service is always attentive, friendly and warm, you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is also typically Greek and very cozy. We will definitely be back – a real recommendation for anyone who loves good Greek cuisine!

Personally, I won't go there again. The food tasted quite good, but the fries were overseasoned with a French fry seasoning. The steak was ordered medium but arrived almost raw. When I asked, they said it was supposed to be cooked that way! The steak I ordered medium-well was cooked perfectly medium, but unfortunately not medium-well as ordered. And overall, the food was presented rather carelessly. I can't speak highly of the friendly service. No smiles, just the bare minimum. Concerns were ignored! Toothpicks were refused the first time?! The gyro with calamari dish comes with a small salad, according to the menu. I asked twice for the salad, and both times they said there was no salad. The third time, I pointed them to the menu. Suddenly, there was a salad! In my opinion, the waiters should know the menu. While we were finishing our appetizers, the main course was already slammed onto our dirty little appetizer plates! Good service means something different.

The first choice in Augsburg for many years. Nowadays it's no longer so Greek and kitschy, but rather a modern ambience in which you feel comfortable.

Overall, a chic, but rather overpriced restaurant. The service was absolutely unmotivated, which cost the gentleman who served us so listlessly his tip. The food was good, although not outstanding. The missing ingredient was heard after a certain waiting period. But that had no consequences! In no case was it worth the prices quoted. Maybe you would still accept such prices if you get a good feeling through excellent service, but you get the message: We don't need to make any effort!

Absolute madness! Rarely have I had food on my plate so quickly and in such good quality. The menu really offers something for everyone. In terms of price, everything is absolutely 👌 The only thing I was missing was the obligatory ouzo at the beginning and end.

This Greek restaurant was recommended to us by some colleagues, but unfortunately we were disappointed overall. This restaurant tries to portray something it is not. This becomes clear as soon as you enter. The store is far too big, far too cool, far too anonymous. The furnishings scream expensive, are unfortunately completely devoid of style and have as much to do with a beautiful Greek restaurant as RB Leipzig has to do with tradition. The store is huge and anonymity is very important here. We ordered a mixed platter for two people. For 75€. There was also the white house wine twice. The portion size was okay, but the meat was unfortunately tasteless, as was the ambience, and the cooking point was a bit too high. How fitting. Some savings were made on the grilled vegetables, but not on the oil. The whole thing is a bit very greasy, but also fitting. Unfortunately a disappointing experience, if you're looking for a real authentic Greek, I wouldn't start here. The journey continues.

Nice and welcoming place. The staff very nice. They were very kind because even though I asked for a change of course due to my decision without any errors from the kitchen, they didn't make me pay for it.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The main courses were extremely greasy, some of the vegetable side dishes seemed to have been fried long before, and the strong smell of oil spoiled my appetite - I could barely take a bite. As a starter I ordered a cold seafood meze platter, but it was obviously not fresh. Even the tzatziki was disappointing in taste. Additionally, our table was wobbly, which made eating even more unpleasant. The only acceptable dish was the panna cotta, but that alone doesn't save the overall experience. I expected more based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately the restaurant is below average. I can't recommend it.

We like to come as a family because of the consistently good quality food and the attentive service. Even when the restaurant is full, which it usually is, you always feel well served. Clear recommendation for high-quality Greek food and great service. See you soon!

The food is okay, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The service wasn't friendly, forgot what we ordered and brought it when asked, but didn't apologize. There were five of us and our food was served so differently that the first ones had already finished eating when the others had nothing. In addition, the food was not brought as ordered. We won't eat here again as it was rather annoying. Too bad!

For a €25 meal you get a whopping 1.5 small potatoes as a side dish. When I asked if we could get more potatoes, we got soggy and then served a bowl of fried potatoes for which we had to pay extra. 2kg of potatoes costs €3 in the supermarket. The service was soulless and virtually non-existent. Too bad!

Unfortunately service was very bad. Never asked. Never present. Ordered steak rare and got it. Starters and other dishes were delicious. No questions about whether it tastes good or whether everything fits. Too bad. The cleanliness of the toilets should be looked at. If dried flowers are used for decoration, they should not surround the guest with dust and dirt.

The Poseidon is a stylishly furnished restaurant in the center of Augsburg with a nice ambience. The food tastes very good, but the side dishes are often very small. Unfortunately, like most other Greeks, there is no ouzo on the house before or after the meal. The prices are a little more expensive.

Certainly one of the best Greeks in Augsburg and the surrounding area. Food very tasty and very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately I missed the obligatory ouzo... In addition, the waiter was not overly friendly, which is to be expected from a restaurant in this price range.

We really loved our visit to Poseidon. Of course it took a while because it was Saturday and the hut was full. But the bifteki really tasted like we were on vacation in Greece. You first have to find a place like this. When we are in Augsburg again we will come back.

You can feel that they no longer need to entertain guests: Order brought to the table incorrectly Parts of the order arrived 10 minutes after the meal (pita bread) Food (gyros) was only lukewarm for everyone (6 people). Service staff very reserved, not a word too much. There is no question whether everything was ok or whether it tasted good. Taste edible and common. We probably had too high expectations - a shame.

Unfortunately, the taste of the food didn't impress us at all. The moussaka was pretty tasteless and the gyro wasn't quite cooked through. People asked if it tasted good, but when the answer was “not really,” the waiter simply walked away angrily without comment. It was also loud in the main room. We won't go here anymore.

Grand Greek Tour, first stop: Our protagonists sat down for lunch in a pleasant atmosphere with classic motifs in a refreshing attire. Full of anticipation for the upcoming trip, they tucked into the tasty side salad, which lived up to their high expectations but lacked the legendary pickled peppers. After gyros, which were crispier and bifteki, which were supposed to be juicier, the two of them didn't even notice that they weren't offered ouzo (unlike many other restaurants in the Hellas flair). Full and satisfied, the initial rating is 6.5/10 plastic plants

Really, really disappointed. I had a great impression as I walked in today, the place is nicely decorated and is very well run but the food is simply awful. None of the meat was edible, all of it was overly process junk and I have no idea what the chicken really was, whitened rubber perhaps. I don't know why restaurants cheap out on good quality ingredients especially when they charge a premium price for it. Lesson learned.

A really great restaurant, very modern and not like a usual Greek restaurant. It was very well filled, which again shows that people are happy. The food was excellent. It was brought to the table very quickly after ordering. The lamb shank was very tasty and my companion also really enjoyed the gyro calamari. Above all, the tzatziki wasn't that intense with garlic. We would be happy to come back

The food was quite good, I think there was too much lettuce in the side salad and there were probably 8 cucumbers on the plate. What I thought was great was that I was offered two different meats upon request, even though it wasn't on the menu. However, I was expecting a typical Greek rice but we got a noodle rice. wasn't our taste at all!!!! In my opinion it took a little longer, but it tasted fresh again. The fries were also very fresh. Value for money is already a bit expensive €16 for souflaki

Good food but a bit too expensive for me. Unfortunately the staff was a bit unfriendly and I would have liked more hospitality.

The ambience is good, unfortunately we were quite disappointed with the food and the prices. Value for money is not good at all! The eggplant as a starter for €10 (8 small slices) is a disgrace. Gyros were dry and a spritz (non-alcoholic!!) costs the same as the alcoholic one at €9! For juice, water and mint leaf this price is not justified…. Even the cheapest glass of wine costs €9. Where do you get the prices from? In the end we sat for 30 minutes, during which no one came to the table for more drinks or the bill. Last year this restaurant was even better!

Very pleasant atmosphere...we were immediately assigned a place where I could easily store my walker. It's a little more expensive, but the quality is good. The service is attentive, friendly. Maybe not very familiar, but it doesn't have to be that way. Sometimes the size of the portions is criticized. It may well be that the portions are not huge. For us it was plenty. Why only 4 stars? This has to do with accessibility. That's just a fact. But as a wheelchair user you should be a little more experienced at the entrance or have someone to help you. There is a small landing on the front door. It's possible that you can get in via the small inner courtyard at ground level, I don't know. What is not possible for wheelchair users, not even for experienced ones or for walker users, are the toilets. There is a high step to overcome and the doors to the toilets don't even open for wheelchair users. It was a big challenge for me to get to the toilet because, although I am experienced, it is quite difficult for me to move without a walker. I don't know who listed disabled-accessible toilets in the information. It definitely wasn't the place. When making the reservation I was advised of the step and that the door is very narrow.

Really great! I had the gyros with Metaxa and a very tasty appetizer platter. I also liked the house wine. At the end there was an ouzo on the house. Round thing! Especially because of the opportunity to eat outside in the beautiful courtyard! Gladly again!

We were at Poseidon, Augsburg on April 1st. Our small dog was welcome, summer very very friendly staff. The food came quickly and tasted wonderful. As a starter we had a seafood salad My wife had the gyros with calamari and a grill mix plate.

One of my favourite Greek Restaurant in Augburg. Set Lunch Menu available and food portions are huge. Friendly and helpful staff. Reccomended.

Group for company dinner. Service was friendly and quick. The portion size of the food was okay across the board, but not for those who were really hungry. The fact that the Uzo is calculated for a Greek is already audacious... Combined with the sometimes hefty prices for small portions, it wasn't quite a satisfactory evening.
