I would like to emphasize in advance that the Symposium restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best Greek restaurants in the region. The service is usually friendly and professional, the food is of high quality and always attractively presented. You can tell that the emphasis here is on class rather than quantity, which is also reflected in the price - but you're happy to pay it if the quality is right, and that's always been the case so far. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was marred by an unpleasant experience. The head waiter who served us was anything but professional that evening. His “cool” manner seemed inappropriate and even disrespectful to us. What was particularly disturbing was that he repeatedly rolled his eyes while communicating with us. We found this to be extremely rude and inappropriate, especially in a service profession where respect and kindness should come first. We didn't even have any special wishes or requests that could have justified his behavior. I also don't know if the long wait for the drinks was intentional, but it seemed that way, so we ended up being forced to place our drink orders directly at the bar. After the waiter apparently realized his wrongdoing, he tried to salvage the situation with fake friendliness and free schnapps. However, this didn't seem convincing, especially since he found time for small talk with other guests. In summary, we continue to appreciate Restaurant Symposium despite this incident, but hope that such experiences will not occur in the future. Otherwise, the restaurant only deserves praise, and it would be a shame if individual employees spoiled the overall picture.

The **Symposium Restaurant** in Augsburg is really a little gem! As soon as you enter, you immediately feel at home, which is not least due to the warm staff who impress with their genuine hospitality. The menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes, whether fish, meat or vegetarian - there is really something for every taste. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. Despite the proximity to the road, it is surprisingly quiet and pleasant outside between the trees. You can enjoy your meal in peace and quiet without being disturbed by traffic noise. The ambience under the trees is particularly beautiful, especially on warm days, and invites you to linger. All in all, a fantastic restaurant that I can highly recommend!

Really delicious. The feta starter is recommended. However, you don't really need the honey on it. I've been there twice and ate the same thing both times. I'm vegetarian, and there are (I think) two delicious dishes for vegetarians. The ambience inside is great, the outside could be improved a bit and made more high-quality. The staff is also really friendly, but you wait a little longer for the food. Reservations are recommended. A little more expensive.

After reading all the reviews, we had great positive expectations, but unfortunately our experience turned out to be negative. Quality, quantity and price of the food are very poor. The food is very expensive compared to price, taste and quantity. We ordered three different menus, including one with "lamb fillet skewers", which is available in a very small quantity and costs 25.60 euros, plus a side dish plus additional charge. We ordered a grilled vegetable for 7.70 euros, just two pieces of eggplant, three pieces of zucchini and two sliced ​​peppers. This means that this menu costs 33.30 euros, but the quantity was too small. For two main courses, a starter and two drinks we paid 88.50 euros, which was too much. Unfortunately, in our opinion, none of the dishes were tasty. As it is a Greek restaurant we expected more fish dishes, however there are fewer fish dishes and fewer choices overall. The staff are very nice and friendly, but unfortunately we received our food very late. I think it's a better beer garden restaurant than a fine dining restaurant. The outside seating areas are very ordinary with no table decorations but the food is as expensive as a five star restaurant. We struggled with flies and mosquitoes outside. I'm sorry that I have to write such a negative review in my entire experience. It was my birthday and we chose this restaurant which left us completely frustrated. Overall, this is our personal opinion and experience with the restaurant.

Very great restaurant, authentic and honest, everyone is very friendly here, everything is nice and clean, and the waiter was very uncomplicated, I ordered from him without a menu and was given good advice. The food was fresh and tasty. The furnishings are also modern and yet comfortable. I couldn't take more pictures, otherwise I would have photographed strangers. Maybe next time, I'll come back. Suitable for wheelchair users.

A beautiful (beer) garden to treat yourself to real Greek food

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit sehr gutem griechischen Essen. Sehr gute Qualität in einem wunderschönen Biergarten. Der Chef begrüßt jeden persönlich und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man einen besonderen Abend verbringen möchte.wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder.

Ein tolles Lokal, vorzügliches und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen, egal ob Vorspeise oder Hauptgericht oder Dessert! Es schmeckt hervorragend! Und nicht zu vergessen ein jederzeit freundliches und aufmerksames Service Personal. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl.

Leckeres Essen, tolle Atmosphäre und sehr freundliches Person! Gerade im schönen Garten fühlt man sich fast wie in Griechenland.

Bester Grieche in Augsburg. Die Taramacreme sowie der Garnelenspiess sind zu empfehlen. Wir kommen jederzeit super gerne dorthin ❤️

The food was really great, starting with the starter, a typical Greek farmer's salad, which blew me away in terms of taste, then the main course, the tender, perfectly grilled pork fillet, really A1, it is by far the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to! Definitely worth a visit! 😋

A stylishly furnished restaurant for slightly more sophisticated demands. You can easily put together your dream meal from the extensive menu. However, you won't find the typical dishes such as tomato soup, beans, gyros or mixed platters. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are very good and the culinary result is impressive. Very friendly and qualified staff fulfilled the guests' wishes quickly and comprehensively. Very happy again. And in this beautiful weather, the beer garden was a green oasis in what is actually a big, fast and loud city.

The food was good. There are not the usual dishes among our Greeks, but rather special dishes. Unfortunately, the bread is saved and it's not that great either. The service is consistently male, very friendly and very attentive. But it took a long time until the main course came. This was probably also because the place was full, which was surprising for me on a weekday. Because the prices are no longer ok for me, they are really excessive. €45 for a meal, a small starter and two drinks is too much for me.

Really good food for a really fair price! The service was extremely nice and attentive! We had a great stay with delicious food! The desserts were also super delicious! I was no longer with Janni and his team for four years due to a move to Upper Bavaria. It was a wonderful evening with super fine and very good food, excellent service coupled with warmth. Like old times 🥰 I will make the almost 60 km journey more often again. Symposium - always happy ❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I haven't had such excellent food in a long time. We put together a colorful mix of starters, main courses and desserts. It was a real pleasure. Plus a service that deserves the name: polite, advisory and on the ball. For me, that justifies the slightly higher prices. I'll definitely be back 👍

Wir waren mit Kind zum Abendessen dort. Nachdem wir nicht frühzeitig reserviert hatten, war "nur" noch ein Hochtisch mit Barstühlen frei. Und das war tatsächlich der allerbeste Platz für uns! Unsere Tochter wurde von allen Mitarbeitern hofiert und hatte eine mords Freude! Die Kinderkarte finde ich zudem erwähnenswert - einfach gut und hochwertig gemacht! Man fühlt sich absolut willkommen (eben auch mit Kind) und hat das Gefühl, als würde man bei Freunden eingeladen sein. Wirklich ganz toll! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder - die "Königin" 😉 vermisst ihren "Thron" nämlich schon 😁 Danke für den tollen Abend, ihr Lieben!

Wir waren gestern das erste mal in diesem Restaurant. Sehr schönes Ambiente, Service sehr nett, zuvorkommend und höflich. Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich persönlich finde, Bratensoße nicht passend zu Bifteki, aber dies ist Geschmackssache. Auch wenig Wartezeit auf das Essen. Super geführtes Restaurant.

Absolute großartig grieschiche Küche, Jenseits des üblichen Olympia- oder Athentellers. Vorspeisen, Fisch- und Fleischgerichte, auch als Vegetarier findet man hier mehr als nur 1 bis 2 Gerichte. Das sehr moderne Ambiente ist Geschmackssache. Absolut eine Empfehlung für Freunde der griechischen Küche.

Wonderful place, food and people. We were a group of 15 persons and when told that will come 6 more, even if the restaurant was full they bring us another table and chairs. The food came quick and was very good, diversified meniu form sea fruits to lamb and beef, all cooked perfectly. The personnel is professional and very kind and oriented with atention at details.

Interessante Auswahl an Speisen, die sich von den 08/15 Angeboten anderer griechischer Restaurants abhebt. Auch eine schöne Auswahl vegetarischer Speisen und Beilagen. Der Oktopus ist butterzart und sehr zu empfehlen - das bisher einzige Restaurant, in dem ich bisher noch nie Probleme mit der Konsistenz hatte. Preislich weiter oben angesiedelt, aber die hervorragenden Speisen rechtfertigen dies dann auch.

Symposium Restaurant Augsburg – der „besondere Grieche“ Das Symposium Restaurant - im Südwesten der Stadt Augsburg gelegen - bietet eine moderne griechisch mediterrane Küche und in den Sommermonaten bzw. in der warmen Jahreszeit ein stilvolles Biergartenerlebnis. Der Begriff Symposion – ein altgriechischer Ausdruck – steht sinngemäß für eine gesellige Zusammenkunft und im übertragenen Sinne für gemeinsames, geselliges Essen & Trinken. Mycket bra, både maten & servicen! Det var fullbokat inne, men ute fanns plats. Men på egen risk då regnet hängde i luften. Vi hade tur, vi slapp att bli blöta. Maten var mycket god & välsmakande. Vi var helnöjda med vårt val. Skulle gärna komma tillbaka.

Toller Außenbereich, super leckeres Essen und sehr netter Service - ein absolut rundes Erlebnis!

Lammhaxe und Lammeintopf waren heute unsere Favoriten. Der Lammeintopf Kleftiko klare 5 Sterne, die Lammhaxe an und für sich sehr gut, aber leider nur mäßig lauwarm serviert und zum Essensende eben kalt. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne. Service und Freundlichkeit waren klasse. Bei dem gegebenen Preisniveau sollte bei 5 Sternen halt alles passen.
