Ich war das erste Mal dort. Mehr oder weniger durch Zufall. Der Gyros Teller mit Tintenfisch, der Salat, der Service und das Ambiente im Biergarten waren wirklich gut.

Ein charmantes, familiengeführtes Restaurant mit herzlicher Atmosphäre und gemütlichem Biergarten. Das Essen ist köstlich, authentisch und perfekt gegrillt. Freundlicher Service. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Gerade Essen angekommen und ist eine reine Freichheit. Dafür 23€? Es sind DREI Garnelen und Tiefkühlgemüse. Zumindest etwas Kartoffeln war zu schade! Wer soll davon satt werden? 23€!!!! Bestelle nie nieder bei Eich und werd es jedem abraten! Ich gehe mir erstmal Kartoffeln zuseiten, damit zumindest etwas auf dem Zahn bleibt. Frechheit!

Waren dort spontan und das Restaurant ist zu empfehlen. Sehr nettes Personal, super leckeres Essen. Die Portionen sind ausreichend und die Preise sind auch normal. Ich denke wir werden wahrscheinlich nochmal vorbei kommen zum Essen.

Sehr guter Grieche mit super liebem Personal (welches sich auch die Lieblingsspeisen merkt). Auch als Veggie findet sich mehr als genug Leckeres, um sich das Bäuchlein voll zu stopfen. Im Sommer ist der kleine Biergarten auch sehr schön. Ich gehe seit Jahren immer wieder gerne hin.

Perfekt nichts zu sagen das essen ist einfach perfekt

An sich ganz Nett und das Essen war auch in Ordnung. Leider hat es bei 30 Grad 45 Minuten gedauert, bis die erste Getränkebestellung aufgenommen wurde. Dann sogar mit Essen und das kam dann auch einigermaßen zügig. Danach habe ich leider nicht mehr wirklich was zu trinken bekommen und bis zur Rechnung hat es sich dann auch sehr gezogen. Schade! 06.03.2026: Restaurant lässt schlechte Bewertungen mit der Behauptung Diffamierung löschen. Daher jetzt nur noch ein Stern.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Sowohl der Fisch, als auch Gyros, Steak und Lamm. Der Service wirklich überragend freundlich. Man fühlt sich wie Zuhause.

Ever since our Greek restaurant on the corner gave up its lease a year and a half ago, we've been going here regularly for Greek food. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food tastes very good, and they're also very accommodating to customer requests.

Despite the rather frosty reception from the senior manager, I decided to stay. If the place is so busy, it must be good, and it was. The salad was so-so, but the grilled platter with gyros, souvlaki, and incredibly delicious liver more than made up for it. The junior manager made up for the older manager's grumpy service.

A hot summer evening, the beer garden is full. But we had a reservation. Even so, there were no free tables, so we had to wait. Then, finally, the time had come. Above all, we were very thirsty. But no one came to take our order. After 30 minutes!!! and after I had asked inside that we would like to order a drink, the junior manager finally came to take our order. When I expressed my displeasure, he didn't respond at all. We've been going there for years, but we've never experienced such bad service. A quick apology and everything would have been a bit better. But no luck. Sorry, that's not right.

My wife and I had dinner at the Alt Athen restaurant again this evening. Today we tried the roasted pepperoni with garlic sauce appetizer. It was delicious. The food was excellent. The staff were very attentive. It's simply a pleasure to be here. We'll be back.

We visited the restaurant for the first time because of the good reviews. Both the beer garden and the restaurant were quite full, so we had to wait a long time for our food. The fish platter was bone dry, with frozen vegetables instead of the expected grilled vegetables. We won't be coming back; the food was overall very lackluster. The service was attentive, but also overwhelmed. A shame.

Going out to dinner spontaneously with six people can be difficult. We were lucky to get a last-minute reservation there. Both the Greek food and the pizza we ordered were delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside, with lovely little and large references to a Greek temple, and it has a lovely beer garden. The service was very friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was ok. Souvlaki is different in Greece, more authentic, but I understand that Germans prefer it that way. What I don't understand is why bread is not offered with the meze. It's a basic thing and should be included. I got the food as a takeaway.

Two of us spontaneously went there for dinner today. The service was very friendly and, above all, prompt. The starter arrived really quickly, the salad was a bit smaller, but everything was served at just the right distance. I had gyros, my friend had souvlaki. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned, the fries were crispy, and the tzatziki and rice were cooked to perfection. All in all, a very good meal. My only criticism is the seat cushions; they could use a quick spin in the washing machine ;) We'd be happy to go again.

We wanted to end the weekend nicely with a visit to the Alt Athens restaurant. The drink order came quickly, but from then on we were forgotten. We had to wait almost 2 hours for the food (it wasn't overly crowded), which was also cold and the meat was tough. The service barely showed up to perhaps ask if we would like something else to drink. We are really disappointed because we had read so many good things from the other reviews.

We had some special requests due to intolerances, all of which were taken into account without writing them down. We were very positively surprised and pleased ☺️ The food itself was well seasoned and the meat was grilled beautifully. Re-salting is possible at the table thanks to a salt mill, and pepper is also available.

It has already become a habit for us to eat there several times a month. The selection of dishes is large and always fresh. Everyone at the restaurant is very friendly and accommodating. In summer and between seasons you can also sit comfortably in the beer garden without street noise and there is also parking, or the restaurant can also be easily reached by public transport. We've been going there for about 15 years. I liked it before, but it's even nicer since the renovation. A really good family business. The food is very good, there is also a lot for us vegetarians. The pizzas are better than at the Italian restaurant. Prices have risen sharply recently, but that's the case everywhere and I think it's still within reason here. Homemade bread with garlic is a must.

The waitresses are sometimes very attentive and quick, sometimes slow and inattentive. I guess it depends on the time of day. Still friendly at all times. The food was on the table quickly and offers what you would expect from a good Greek restaurant. It was very tasty and in terms of price/performance ratio. Even small requests for changes are implemented easily and in a cost-friendly manner. Happy again and recommended to everyone!

Great Greek in Augsburg, good food, prepared with love It's still always great to be here

Unfortunately we always had to wait a long time for something. It started when the cards were brought, then continued the same way when the order was taken. It took half an hour until the starter came (it was just pita + tzatziki & peppers). The main course didn't come until 20 minutes later. Especially since one dish was brought first and the rest 10 minutes later. Some of the meat was very tough and there was little tzatziki, but lots of fries. And otherwise the food was quite good. But since there wasn't really much going on, the wait was really annoying. And it wasn't just us who had to wait so much, other guests also had to wait the same way. We probably won't come back when we're in Augsburg again.

We have been enjoying going to Alt Athens for years and we are always amazed by the great service and delicious food. In summer, the covered beer garden is a real highlight! Protected in bad weather and ideally shaded in hot weather.

Nice Greek restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly, there are 5 stars for the service. The food was ok. I just always find it strange when you go out for a Greek meal and half your plate is full of fries. I've been to Greece several times and there are side dishes other than fries. But maybe the German guests demand something like that.

We once ordered a large salad with tuna and a Greek specialty plate. Everything was delicious, the portions were large, and the tzatziki with the meat dish was also very tasty. We were welcomed and served by the extremely friendly junior manager. An all-round successful evening in a typical Greek restaurant with a covered beer garden or terrace.
