You don't have to wait long for food.

Having dined here twice before, we met up with friends here today on their recommendation. Upon arrival, our friends told us that the waiters had been very unfriendly. And yes, that continued throughout the evening. We didn't feel like welcome guests at all. We weren't offered a complimentary ouzo upon arrival or a complimentary drink upon departure. We had to ask for drinks several times, and were often ignored in the process. It took quite a while for the food to arrive, but at least it was very good, as always. We weren't asked if we were finished, even though there were still plenty of leftovers on our plates; they were simply cleared away. The final straw came when we paid and were asked if we wanted to leave a tip. It's a shame, because I've experienced much friendlier service here before.

Unfortunately, the taste did not convince us overall; for example, the gyros was far too overcooked and therefore hard and dry.

Best restaurant in Düsseldorf, very delicious and highly recommended.

They tried to recreate the ambiance of a Greek tavern, but failed largely due to a large bar and inappropriate music. The staff was a bit lackluster and didn't even manage to crack a smile. The food was as you'd expect from a Greek restaurant: tasty and plentiful. The meat was good but not overly seasoned, and the potato chips were a bit better than the French fries. The prices were a bit above average. After Syrtaki closed permanently, this is a perfectly decent alternative.

Very friendly staff, and I was offered free ouzo and Coke every time. We've been getting the Poseidon platter here for years; the meat is very good quality. I'm happy to make the 30-minute drive for that.

Wir waren schon mehrmals hier, aber der Service heute hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Wir mussten lange auf die Aufgabe unserer Bestellung warten. Die Gläser wurden lieblos zusammen auf den Tisch gestellt und von uns selbst verteilt. Für ene zweite Getränkebestellung und die Bezahlung mussten wir vehement auf uns aufmerksam machen. Keine Nachfrage, ob wir nach dem Essen noch einen Kaffee oder ein Dessert möchten. Den sonst üblichen Ouzo bekamen wir, im Gegensstz zu anderen Gästen, auch nicht. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass wir stören und Gäste zweiter Klasse sind. Schade. Das nächste Mal gehen wir in ein Lokal, dass seine Gäste zu schätzen weiß.

Das Abendessen -Grillteller war leider trocken gebraten, die Bedienung des Kellners war sehr langsam und musste zur neuen Bestellung heran gewunken werden.

Run-of-the-mill food that arrived lukewarm after a long wait. Carelessly done. Meat on both plates, No. 61 and 64, very dry. Everything is getting better. Staff friendly.

Service and ambience are not outstanding but okay. Unfortunately, the homemade bifteki was too long and on a grill that was way too hot, so it was dry and the decorative grill stripes were black and not brown, which I unfortunately tasted very clearly. At least in contrast to some other restaurants, it actually contained feta, but only very little of it. Positively the ouzo at the beginning and "vitamin juice" at the end, as more and more Greek restaurants are saving the ouzo on the house.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience after the staff were told that they would be paid with a voucher. As a result, we were shouted at in an incredibly unfriendly and rude manner by the serving staff. After this experience, this restaurant is absolutely not recommended…. Just don’t buy a voucher……..

Unfortunately, yesterday was a really disappointing visit. We were there with a larger group. The service was quick but ultimately unfriendly and when it came time to pay we were almost shouted at and a huge discussion started with us just because we wanted to pay with a voucher. (so I can advise against this). Unfortunately, the salmon for almost €22 wasn't quite as tasty. But the small plate of rice and vegetables. All in all, I wouldn't come here again after this experience.

Unfortunately very overwhelmed at Christmas. The food portion is becoming smaller and smaller and unfortunately more and more expensive. Also, unfortunately, the lack of the usual Greek hospitality. Accordingly unfriendly. Far too little rock-hard bread was served for tzatziki. The invoice was surprisingly dubious on a scratch slip without a receipt. In no way understandable! Ouzo warm and inedible. Unusually, there was no reception or farewell at home. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my family. But only because we know it better from the past! It's a shame. World-class gyros, excellent Metaxa sauce, super nice owner and staff, so for us by far the best Greek in Düsseldorf.

I ordered via Lieferando. The minced steak and fries were good. The gyro was dry and hard. Pork tenderloin was like rubber. The aperitif platter is not worth €17.50 at all. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to the food. Ordered there for the first time. Unfortunately now nothing will attract me to the restaurant. My honest criticism of this.

Für uns war der Abend enttäuschend. Das Essen entsprach nicht unseren Vorstellungen. Der Beilagensalat war sehr lieblos, Eisbergsalat mit einer Scheibe Tomate und einer Scheibe Gurke mit Fertigdressing. Die Hauptspeisen waren schmackhaft aber nicht herausragend. Die Griechischen Bratkartoffeln waren TK Scheibenkartoffen ohne besonderen Geschmack. Der Reis war zum Teil trocken. Der Service war zwar bemüht aber nicht wirklich gut. Nach der ersten Getränke Bestellung hat niemand mehr nachgefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten (erst nach dem wir dem Kellner zu uns gewunken haben) Ein Dessert wurde uns auch nicht angeboten. Unser Fazit, wir werden dort nicht mehr Essen gehen.

Great service good food. The map is clear and is sometimes spontaneously adapted to seasonal conditions. Here you can also look over the plate and have a meal with your Turkish neighbors (or have they copied from the Greek kitchen??)

I ordered and received 2 delicious and plentiful starters and main courses today! I probably accidentally ordered to be picked up, a quick call was enough, the food was then delivered to my home, everything was of good quality and packaged perfectly. Not long ago I had the opportunity to try Greek food at the Poseidon restaurant in Düsseldorf, Germany. And I'm very impressed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautifully decorated in a Greek style. There are statues and paintings of Greek gods throughout the shop. Create the feeling of actually eating in Greece. The food menu has a variety to choose from. Including an appetizer, main course, and dessert, Alisa ordered a main course of grilled salmon and grilled vegetables. The salmon was fresh and grilled to perfection. Crispy skin, tender meat, and the grilled vegetables were perfectly cooked. It's sweet and crispy. I also ordered baklava for dessert. which is a traditional Greek dessert The baklava here is very delicious, just the right amount of sweetness, not too greasy. Overall, I was very impressed with the food and atmosphere of Poseidon Dusseldorf. If I have a chance to visit Düsseldorf, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.

It was a very successful evening here. The food was very tasty and the service was always attentive and otherwise unobtrusive. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing for us. We will be guests here more often. Many thanks to the establishment. We recently ate here again and are still impressed.

Das Beste an dem Abend war das Essen, ein großes Lob an die Küche. Alles andere war leider nicht ausreichend. Der Service war nicht orientiert, teilweise überfordert und sogar unfreundlich. Vorspeisen wurde nach dem Salat serviert, auf den Grilltellern fehlte Fleisch. Trotz Vorbestellung (6 Personen) wurden wir an einen Tisch gesetzt, der nur für 4 Personen eingedeckt war, nach den 2 fehlenden Gedecken musste mehrfach gefragt werden.

AUF KEINEN FALL BESUCHEN Ich wollte heute mit meiner Freundin einen schönen Abend verbringen und habe einen Tisch im Poseidon reserviert. Als nach EINER STUNDE noch nicht mal die Vorspeise kam, habe ich der Oberkellnerin mitgeteilt, dass wir das Restaurant verlassen wollen. Diese hatte dann die Dreistigkeit zu behaupten, dass es überall so sei und wollte es uns verweigern zu gehen. Nach einer kurzen Diskussion durften wir dann gehen. Anderen Gästen erging es ähnlich... Die Kellner sehen super gestresst aus und sind unfreundlich. Zum Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen, weil nichts kam.

Sehr lecker, freundliche Bedienung, faire Preise. Hinweis: Auch Rollifahrer kommen ins Lokal, da es eine Rampe gibt, die bei Bedarf auf die Stufen gelegt wird!

Tolles Team gutes Essen gern wieder

Wir waren ohne reservierung und obwohl es sehr voll war bekamen wir einen Platz.Das Service Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und wir konnten auch sehr schnell bestellen. Leider ist dem Kellner ein Fehler passiert ,aber sie haben sehr schnell reagiert,sodass auch ich meinen Hunger stillen konnte.Fehler können passieren wir sind alles Menschen.Wichtig ist wie beide Parteien damit umgehen. Da auch das Essen sehr lecker war werden wir uns bestimmt wiedersehen. Weiter so es war sehr lecker und schön.

Das Essen schmeckt immer sehr gut, der Service ist super, selbst die Hunde fühlen sich im Restaurant willkommen, sehr tierfreundliches Personal - top!

Ich durfte zu meinem Geburtstag hier mit meinem Freund essen und kann mich nicht beklagen! Das Essen war super lecker, bei Gyros habe ich immer Sorge das es zu fettig ist aber das war hier nicht der Fall. Die Kalamaris waren total GEIL also wirklich spitzen Köche 🌸! Service war auch sehr nett :) Das Fleisch was mein Freund bestellt hatte war auch perfekt gekocht. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder!

Die Speisen waren ganz ok, der Service war, da verschiedene Kellner zugange waren, war von gut bis geht so.

Sehr gut besuchten Restaurant für einen Dienstag. Nette ,schnelle und besorgte Bedienung, leckeres Essen und ein Aperitif und ein Digestiv aufs Haus, was will man mehr.

Wir waren zum zweiten mal bei Poseidon und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war sehr gut und preislich fair. Es gab immerhin mehrere Vorspeisen, Hauptgericht und Nachtisch. Plus Ouzo natürlich 😉 Ich würde hier bedenkenlos immer wieder herkommen. Am besten zu Fuß, mit dem Fahrrad oder den öffentlichen, den Parkplätze gibt es keine - in den umliegenden Straßen gibt es welche, aber da muss man unter Umständen lange suchen.

Ein Grieche halt so ei man es sich wünscht. Die Karte ist voll mit Variationen, will sagen hier ist für jeden was dabei, auch wenn es etwas länger dauert bis man sich entscheiden hat. Ich hatte einen netten Abend.

Diese Gaststätte hat überraschend viel Raum nach hinten raus. Alles geschmackvoll, vermittelt griechisches Ambiente. Die Speisen sind frisch und wirklich gut und mit ein bisschen Überlegung und Gespräch ist einiges vegan zu bekommen.

Nicht zu empfehlen habe letzte Woche 2x Gyros Spezial bestellt das Fleisch war ungenießbar trocken und verbrannt habe fast alles weggeschmissen schade um das Geld was man ausgegeben hat....

Sehr nettes Restaurant. Leckeres Essen und große Portionen. Wir waren mit der Familie dort, wurden gut und schnell bedient . Das Essen war frisch zubereitet, warm und lecker. Lamm war zart und Rumpsteak gut gegart und saftig. Die Preise sind verhältnismäßig passend.

Wir kannten das Restaurant bisher nur von Bestellungen zum Liefern und waren jetzt zum ersten mal vor Ort und sehr angetan. Das Essen ist lecker und bodenständig. Das Personal super nett und man fühlt sich in den Räumlichkeiten sehr wohl. Zwar ist alles nicht mehr super neu, aber sehr gut gepflegt und sauber. Beim Platon Teller waren wir von der Fleischqualität sehr positiv angetan. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.
