The restaurant, located in the center of Verden, is very tastefully and really beautifully decorated, which almost invites you to linger. The service is as warm as it is professional and competent. The kitchen is absolutely recommended. I chose the shrimp pan (with fresh mushrooms) as a starter and the pork fillet with Gorgonzola sauce as the main course. My request to change the side dish - I preferred pasta - was met with a friendly smile. To put it simply, the restaurant is fully recommended.

Were invited here by friends. Food is very good and plentiful. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back again.

I came here with my family for dinner and really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and welcoming. One thing I didn’t like was that it was very cramped, you sat and talked and there wasn’t even a meter of distance from the next table. The pizza is very tasty.

Delicious pizza and pasta in a cozy atmosphere. We had 2x pasta (275+284), which tasted very well seasoned. The pizza (270), on the other hand, hardly at all - despite the pesto. It was a shame that the pizza cutlery was just normal cutlery and it was difficult to cut it into bite-sized pieces. Therefore 1 star deduction for each. Drinks cooled with crushed ICE are great, so you have more drink than ice in the glass! We'll definitely come back and try the ice cream and tiramisu.😉

My wife and I were on a short vacation in Verden for a few days. We “came across” this restaurant while strolling in the evening. A first quick glance showed us an ice cream parlor, then we went in and were immediately spoken to in a friendly manner. A great restaurant with good food and nice staff. Went back the next day...were greeted and recognized. The food was great again, and so were the employees. Unfortunately, when paying the bill with a card, an additional charge was due without being pointed out. I asked because the final total seemed a bit “odd” to me and was then given this information. Paying a bill with a normal card, i.e. not a credit card, is actually normal. I have never paid extra for it in any restaurant. Even if it is only a small amount, it should be mentioned...or. this is not justified.

The pizza and the pasta were delicious. Unfortunately, the knives are not suitable for cutting pizza. Payment with EC or Visa costs the valued guest 1.5% of the invoice price. That really doesn't fit into today's times.

Delicious food in a central location right in the city center. The seating area outside is particularly nice and invites you to linger. A good choice if you want to eat in the city.

The food was okay, but the wine was served in martini glasses. When prices have risen significantly, charging an additional 1.5% for card payments is outrageous.

Ich wurde sehr gut bewertet Spaghetti mit Lachs und Parmesan waren sehr lecker. Bei schönem Wetter schmecke auch der trockene Rotwein gut.

The variations of the pizzas are wonderful, but the pizza arrived almost cold. Probably a lack of communication between kitchen and service or problems in the kitchen. But then I would have liked a hint from the waiter. Taste ok but not more. Service seemed rather annoyed, apart from a young waiter who seemed very committed but somehow left alone. That's why we didn't say anything about the temperature of the food. Last summer the quality and price-performance were significantly better. Of course you have to charge these prices to cover the costs, but then the quality and service should simply match it.

Very nice and attentive staff, we were there with 3 wheelchair users and it was no problem at all to sit inside. Ramp was offered by the staff and you absolutely didn't feel like you were causing any trouble.

Ate here last week and would have spontaneously given it six stars... Stopped here today for an iced coffee and was quite disappointed as there was very little ice to be found. (It looked like a small ball.) I found this a bit sad to watch (and enjoy) I (mentally) reduced my rating to three stars, which I found to be a shame because the restaurant is worth recommending. The price of only €4.60 meant I had to add another star because it surprised me very pleasantly. Service friendly and attentive. 👍

Recently ate a burger, buns as if they had been exposed to air for two days and the meat was dry. Then tried again with pasta. The pasta was undercooked and the sauce was a bit too runny. The meat that was in there had no place in the recipe. Overall it tasted like it came from a can. The mix drinks also had a different taste. Not recommendable.

We were there with a large group and despite booking we only got a table in the entrance area! It pulled and you froze! The food didn't come for a long time and we were always provided with drinks... after several questions we were only told off that the pizza was in the oven... so what can a pizza take over three quarters of an hour!?! We had a small child (8 years old) with us and he had to wait so long until he got something to eat, they didn't even offer the child bread or anything! Overall the service is not friendly and I wouldn't eat here again! Thank you Porto fino!

Seldom eaten so badly. We were wondering why there was room for so many people at the lunch buffet at such short notice. Well, 33 euros/person. Must be something very special? It was too. But to the negative. The antipasti were not refilled. The potatoes and bread were obviously from yesterday, the meat was tough, the fish was dry and full of bones. Spices were also saved. The pasta dishes were an indefinable mush with tough chunks of meat. Overall, a disgrace for 33 euros. But: the staff was careful and friendly.

I got a completely overpriced lasagna today! A bowl, half full and then outrageously (!!!) expensive! €16.50!!! Unfortunately, the taste is not particularly praiseworthy, on the contrary. I have never experienced cooking ham being placed between the lasagna sheets. I used to enjoy eating there. It's been dealt with. As a customer I feel cheated.

So far everything is fine. But there is still room for improvement.

A little too little selection on the buffet

Visited a restaurant, ate, drove home and then we set off... Food poisoning!!!

Unfortunately we were totally disappointed. We had various starters with a group, all of which were "somehow ok" but no one really liked them. It totally lacked the typical Italian freshness, the taste of perfectly fried zucchini and mushrooms...herbs, spices...to be honest, everything tasted a bit like antipasti from the supermarket. Then came the biggest disappointment for me: Pizza Frutti di mare, my favorite pizza. I have no idea what the topping should be...prepared seafood salad dumped on a pizza? It tasted strangely sour, like pickled little "pseudo seafood from a can" in which, if you were lucky, a small piece of squid got lost. Unfortunately I have to say: I have never eaten such a bad Frutti di mare. The others were moderately satisfied. Some had leftovers on their plates, the pasta was swimming in a sauce that was too strong... all of them lacked the typical Italian lightness, fresh ingredients and the real taste of good products. Unfortunately we couldn't explain the good reviews. I give the two stars mainly for the very friendly service staff, who were really courteous and attentive. Regarding the ambience: due to the tubular shape of the restaurant, it really depends on where you sit. Unfortunately, we sat "in the hose" with our backs to the busy, long walkway in the restaurant, which didn't feel comfortable. Other places further back are nicer.

The decor is nice, but the food is way too expensive and not authentically Italian and it has been in the oven for too long. Pizza Parma almost 19 euros...large size was almost as big as small size. EC card payments were not welcome, why...? It probably often doesn't work... for us it worked straight away. Well...not again for now.

Went to Portofino spontaneously. Our first visit, the atmosphere is very chic, the service staff was super nice and friendly from start to finish. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food, my rump steak (which I had ordered in English) was unfortunately frozen, but the potatoes were great. My wife had pasta but unfortunately it was overcooked and not al dente. And at the Italian restaurant! The cocktails were great.

Wir gehen jedes Jahr zum weihnachtsfrühstück hierher und es ist immer sehr lecker und ein toller und freundlicher Service.

Hier kann noch um 21uhr gespeist werden, da in Verden schon Alle Mitbewerber Ihre Küche geschlossen haben. Pizza war etwas besserer Durchschnitt, denn der Boden war doch ein wenig zu Zäh und genau so Trocken wie die Pizzabrötchen, die ohne Dipp serviert wurden. Die Pasta mit Erbsen und Tomatensoße war auch Ungewöhnlich Interessent. Üblich und Ratsam währe Hier eine Sahnesoße. Das Portofino ist bei der Weiblichen Bevölkerung sehr Beliebt. Habe bei der 25zigsten aufgehört zu zählen. Frauen Überschuss in Verden. An diesem Freitag Abend gab es nur noch den Kellner, dem man dieses auch Ansah als Er gefragt wurde, ob Mann Hier falsch sei.

Most avoid this place! Has nothing to do with the real Italian food and what is most important the quality of the ingredients ist terrible. We were 10 people for dinner in this place and all of us will not come back again. I suggest you not to spend time, health and money in such a place.

Absolut beste Adresse in Verden für einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen

Ich kenne das Restaurant noch aus alten Zeiten. Es ist tatsächlich recht gemütlich geworden. Das Essen meiner Frau (Fisch) war wohl super; meine Pizza war ganz einfach kalt als sie serviert wurde. Da ich ordentlich Hunger hatte, habe ich die Pizza trotzdem gegessen ohne etwas zu sagen....es hat aber auch niemand gefragt, ob es uns schmecken würde! Naja...wir gehen zukünftig in ein anderes Restaurant wenn wir mal Zeit haben Essen zu gehen.

Leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente (was man von außen nicht unbedingt vermutet) und freundlicher Service - wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nettes Lokal mit netten Personal. Aber, für mich, Pizza viel zu groß (32 cm). Selbst als kleine immer noch 26 cm!! Aber wer es mag und viel Hunger hat.

Das Essen war super,alles top und die Mitarbeiter super freundlich. Die Räumlichkeiten waren schön groß und gemütlich, das Essen wurde schnell und frisch zubereitet.

Wir waren nach langer Zeit am letzten Freitag mal wieder im Portofino essen. Und auch wenn der Umbau wohl schon einige Zeit her ist, das Restaurant hat dadurch sehr gewonnen hat. Obwohl das Portofino während unseres Besuches recht voll war, (was uns für den Wirt und seine Mitarbeiter sehr freute), war trotzdem eine Unterhaltung am Tisch in normaler Lautstärke möglich. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Sehr zu loben ist aus unserer Sicht die Qualität des Essens und des Weines. Das Servicepersonal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir zwei Paare waren rundum zufrieden und alle haben den Besuch sehr genossen. Vielen Dank.

Wir hatten uns spontan zu einem Abendessen in diesem Restaurant entschieden. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend, die Bedienungen aufmerksam und das Essen und die Getränke lecker. Und das alles zu akzeptablen Preisen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Man kann recht gut sitzen für Verdener Verhältnisse. Wir waren mit 6 Leuten vor Ort. Das Essen ist schlecht, einfach keine Qualität. Pizza Gummi Käse, Nudeln wie aus der Dose und Burger matschig. Nie wieder. Vielleicht nur mal auf ein Getränk.

Dieses Allroundtalent an Restaurant gibt es schon ein paar Jahre in Verden, bisher kam ich nicht zum Testen. Das habe ich heute geändert. Schöne Terasse an der Fußgängerzone, schickes modernes Restaurant mit Eisdiele und Essensangebote über den ganzen Tag verteilt. Ich war mittags da und hatte eine Salamipizza und 2 Getränke, die Pizza war super, der Service sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Preise sind absolut fair. Ich komme sicher wieder.

Tolles Essen, Caipirinha wäre mit Glasröhrchen besser. Mehrere Pappstrohhalme verbraucht und nix zerstampft bekommen. Sonst wirklich schön dort in der Innenstadt von der Lage.

Schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen und ein sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tolle Location, zentral gelegen, leckeres Essen, schick eingerichtet, nettes Personal.

Wir waren ohne Reservierung dort und hatten einen schönen Platz auf der hinteren Terrasse, wo allerdings auch geraucht wurde. Bedienung war nett und schnell. Leider war das Essen nicht gut. Bruschetta war noch o.k, alle Piizzas allerdings geschmacklos, ebenso der Prosecco als Aperitif.

Wir waren satt und es hat geschmeckt. Hat uns aber nicht zum jubeln veranlasst. Adresse in TA ist falsch, trotzdem gefunden und netten Platz außen gefunden. Personal sichtlich überfordert, aber nett und das passte dann auch. Aus unserem Weisswein wurde dann ein Rose. Auch lecker und wir wollten sie nicht noch durcheinander bringen.

Had their Chilli Burger. Barely better than McDonald's. The prices were high, their chips clearly frozen, the buns cheap and generic, the patty thin, badly cooked and tasteless. They had stickers on the price-tags on the menu, evidencing they had recently increased them. My friend had the veggie burger and it was barely better than your average falafel kebab. Many mistakes on their italian product menu made me avoid those. Wouldn't really recommend it.

Typischer Italiener. Wir haben vorab tel. Plätze reserviert. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Es war unser erster Besuch in diesem schönen Restaurant (ziemlich am Anfang? oder Ende? der Verdener Fußgängerzone (Große Straße). Die Küche ist zum Restaurant offen einsehbar. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit leckeren Köstlichkeiten! Gerne wieder 😇👍

Für italienische Küche das Schlechteste das ich je gegessen habe. Beim Service hatte ich das Gefühl, je schneller ich bestellt und gegessen habe, um so schneller kann der Tisch wieder neu besetzt werden. Dieses Restaurant kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Nach Covid hat man das gesamte Restaurant verschönert. Dazu die hintere Terrasse mit einer neuen Überdachung versehen die Wettergeschützt zugefahren werden kann. Essen wieder besser, Service wie immer sehr aufmerksam.

Pizza bestellt und Tortenkühler für die Aufbewahrung mitgeliefert bekommen. Dazu die Teller vergessen, Fahrer musste ca. 15km zum holen nach Verden hin und ca. 15km wieder zurück fahren. Während der Zeit verweilten die ca. 10-15 großen Pizzen in ihren Kartons in der Warmhaltetasche und das Essen konnte von mir nicht "eröffnet" werden. Die Teller fehlten ja noch. Die Pizzen haben wir später in 2 hauseigenen Backöfen erwärmt, damit sie wenigstens einigermaßen warm serviert werden konnten...den Tortenkühler haben wir mal nicht dafür benutzt. Dieser Kühler stand dann aber genau 2 Wochen bei uns im Carport...wurde einfach nicht abgeholt. Als dann doch der Tag gekommen, stand ein Fahrer allein vor der Tür meiner knapp 80 jährigen Mutter und wollte das etwa 100kg schwere Ding einladen. Das klappte nicht, also musste ein zusätzlicher Kollege ebenfalls den 15km Weg (eine Strecke) zurücklegen um einladen zu helfen...effizienter geht's nicht...locker 60km gefahren, die nicht definitiv nicht Not taten. Als es um die Formalitäten ging, gab es nicht eine Entschuldigung...am Preis sei auch nicht viel zu machen, dieser wurde übrigens kurz vor Bestellung nochmal um 2Euro/Person nach oben korrigiert...schließlich sei alles so teuer und man kostendeckend arbeiten (aber 2x unnütz hin und her fahren...) Alles in allem hat es meinen etwa 100 Gästen gut geschmeckt, ABER die Organisation war schlecht. Ohne ein bisschen Eigeninitiative der Kollegin dort, vor allem ohne ein: "das ist aber blöd gelaufen, das kriegen wir schon hin" oder ein "sorry". Das hat auch was mit Überheblichkeit zu tun. Die Gäste bekamen dies ja nun auch mit und die Außendarstellung vom Lokal ließ zu wünschen übrig. Wir werden diesen Service jedenfalls nicht wieder nutzen. Vermutlich ist das aber auch nicht die oberste Priorität... Schade! Hatte ich doch schon mal so gute Erfahrung gemacht... Wir werden diesen "Service" definitiv nicht wieder in Betracht ziehen!
