The food was great! The seating was very good! The view of the town hall was excellent.

The service is very good and warm. The food has declined somewhat in quality, but the staff will put a smile on your face.

At 9:55 pm we wanted to order two coffees after our meal, but we were told that wasn't possible because they were about to close. Google says they're open until 10:30 pm on Fridays, and La Piazza's website even says they're open until 11 pm on Fridays. We didn't understand that.

Amazing service and pizza. Who do you always see there? I eat there most days of the week. It's funny to see how they leave the pizza crust on the plate at the end of the day – probably as a matter of principle. In Verden, you'd only eat that after a Bullenschluck (a local schnapps), and even then, only with Coyote's garlic dip. I could live off the garbage at La Piazza. If they offered a dip with the pizza, they'd be making a statement against food waste in Verden. But I'm sure the incredibly attentive staff would have something to say about me raiding the trash can.

We had a delicious meal there. The waitress was patient because we couldn't decide, but without being intrusive. The starters arrived quickly, as did the main courses. Minus point for the atmosphere. We had a table right next to the counter facing the window, which was very tight for 5 people. Two seats had the edge of the counter at their necks, and the two seats facing the window, thanks to the open window, felt like they were on the necks of the guests sitting outside. Suggestion for improvement: Perhaps adjust the table size a bit. I also have to deduct a point for the food. The vitello tonnato, the main course, came with 6 small, or rather mini, pieces of pizza dough, 3 of which were rock hard. Suggestion for improvement: It would be better to use a few larger pieces of bread on the side so that you can dip the delicious tuna sauce more easily. The pizza was super delicious thanks to the stone oven and worth a visit on its own. Despite minor criticisms, we will definitely be back.

La Piazza in Verden is simply fantastic! A super cozy atmosphere and truly friendly service – you immediately feel at home. I especially recommend the 163rd SPAGHETTI CON GAMBERI: pasta perfectly al dente, the shrimp fresh and juicy, with a garlic sauce with just the right amount of spice. Simply delicious and absolutely recommended! For me, the first address in Verden when it comes to good Italian food. 🍝🦐

Very good pizza, delicious Aperol, and all this in the heart of the city center. What's not acceptable, though, is refusing to serve a glass of tap water, but then selling still water (in unsealed, label-free bottles—so I'm pretty sure it's tap water) for €6 a bottle.

Great! I had dinner twice in the evening during my business trip to Verden. The tagliatelle finferlo, salad with avocado and Parma ham, both highly recommended. The focaccia with the three dips was a true delight. The portions of the pasta dishes and salads are generous enough to fill you up. I've criticized the pasta and salad portion sizes in some other restaurants, as they were quite small. Here, the ratios are just right. I'll be happy to return on my next business trip.

Once a pleasure – now rather disappointing We enjoyed being guests for many years – but unfortunately, the impression has changed significantly since then. Since the coronavirus pandemic, the quality has noticeably declined: On our last visit, the steak was fatty, the potatoes were burnt, the salad came with dressing despite our explicit request, and instead of the advertised porcini mushrooms, other mushrooms were served without comment. The situation at the end of the evening, however, was particularly unpleasant: While we were still talking, the head waiter suddenly rushed us to check (10:15 p.m.) – even though the entire kitchen crew was still sitting comfortably with friends and drinking beer right next to us. Upon inquiry, it became clear that the head waiter was simply following his superior's instructions. This is the real crux of the problem: The young waiters on site were friendly and helpful, and the head waiter also remained professional in his tone – but the management conveys a feeling of arbitrariness and a lack of respect. This creates the impression that guests are treated differently depending on their personal impressions. This isn't about one bad day, but rather about whether management knows how to deal with people. We rarely write reviews – but too much has happened here over time. The owner should seriously consider appointing a management team that acts professionally and lives the values ​​of an open, hospitable establishment. Because a beautiful location alone won't last long – Verden is constantly evolving. The place is fine for a casual drink. However, those who value quality and respectful treatment will be happier elsewhere.

Spontaneous birthday dinner. An absolute culinary highlight for us, and not just this year. We eat out relatively often and are very demanding. Everything was just right here that evening. From the very friendly, attentive, unobtrusive people in service (thanks for the pillows!), the ambience under the large umbrellas and the palm trees all around. Immediately brought back memories of Italy. And that in the middle of Verden. And of course the food! Mama Mia! The starters fantastic, Vitello Tonnato and Bruschetta absolutely exquisite. The main courses, pasta with chanterelles, or potatoes and chicken, were absolutely fantastic. The portions were very good, not unnecessarily large. So there was room for everyone for one of the delicious desserts, e.g. B. Tartufo. I particularly liked the basket with vinegar, salt and pepper and various oils at the table, as well as the bread that came with it. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case anymore. You can tell we are very impressed with the La Piazza restaurant. Absolute recommendation from us. We'll definitely be back! Thank you everyone for a wonderful evening that we won't soon forget!!

Salami pizza lunch offer, hardly any cheese and only 6 small mini slices of salami for 11 euros, plus a fee for card payments. Since the entire menu is already quite expensive and especially Cola, it is very bold to ask for a card fee. Unfortunately, the pretty beautiful surroundings are all that struck me positively here.

We wanted to go out for Italian food again for our wedding anniversary. The weather was great so we sat outside. Unfortunately, we were constantly besieged by flies. When our food finally arrived and we took the first bites, my husband noticed that his calzone was still raw and cold on the inside. Of course, we apologized several times and the calzone was still baked, but unfortunately this negative experience remains in our minds and we will not visit the restaurant again.

We were visiting Verden and looked for a location for the evening and ended up at La Piazza. The location on the town hall square is very nice and the food was also very tasty. I give this 5 stars. The service was also friendly and accommodating. But: 1. We waited quite a long time for our food (there was almost an hour between the starter and the main course). That depressed our mood a bit. 2. We had a small child with us and ordered a small portion of pasta without anything. The portion was quite large and was charged at 8 euros. We found that to be too expensive. 3. There is a fee for card payments. H.v. 1.5% required. I find that to be a disgrace. Nowadays it should be normal to pay by card and not charge a fee. Who still has cash with them today? That is not how it works! It's a shame because the food was really good. The next time we are in Verden, he will find us another restaurant. Or I charge a fee myself so that I have to run to the ATM...

My husband's salad was floating in water and was very roughly cut, rather unappetizing and without any pizzazz! The dressing was served separately in a small bowl. My Diavolo pizza wasn’t even remotely spicy, let alone “devilish.” There were no spices whatsoever. The dough was below average! The waiter reacted to our criticism in a rather “bitchy” way and made no attempt to accommodate us in any way, be it perhaps to buy us a drink “on the house” or simply to respond to our criticism in a friendly (!) way. The food is NOT worth a star. In my opinion, it lives solely from the nice location. It was also a disgrace that an “automatic surcharge” of 1.5% of the consumption value was charged for card payments!!! That is not how it works. It's a shame that you have to give at least one star for the review, otherwise I wouldn't have given any star at all.

It's been a long time since we've had pizza. And in this case, we went home full but very dissatisfied. First of all: we sat outside on a beautiful summer evening; All the tables there were occupied and it was very busy. This meant that we didn't really feel comfortable; However, this is a very personal opinion and should not be decisive here. In detail: + Waiting time until the starter was pleasantly short - the starter was swimming in oil too much for my taste - Waiting time for food was ok, but definitely not a great time (given how crowded there is nothing to really complain about) + a meal as ordered; tasty and plentiful - a meal different from the description on the menu: -- according to the menu there should be "spicy salami" on the pizza; In our case, however, it was quite tasteless (cooked?) ham -- the red peppers, which were also printed on the menu as information (warning), suggested a certain spiciness. This wasn't even present in the slightest -- Partial conclusion: in one case the food was good and tasty, in the other case "hunger drove it in" After eating we wanted to pay a little soberly. While we were clearing away at the same time, we were asked whether the food was tasty. We answered this question as described above. While the waiter and the young waiter were concerned, a "superior" was there practically in no time. Instead of asking why we were dissatisfied, we were told how the pizza was always topped and that the spicy salami was now mild because guests had complained about the spiciness. Instead, you can put hot sauce on your pizza from the oil and sauce stand on the table. When we realized that we had answered a question and didn't want to be lectured here, we were told that he wanted to finish it now. When my companion got up, said that there was no need to listen to that and left, the man snapped at me and asked me to explain to my companion who was listening to something here. CONCLUSION: Some of the food was ok, the service was ok. However, the overall behavior spoiled our evening so much that we agreed: WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!

A wonderful restaurant in the center of Verdun. The waiters speak German, English, and Ukrainian, which I was pleasantly surprised by. You can sit inside or in the area as you wish. Come and try, everything here is very tasty!

Liver dry. Fish fried to death. Salad bland without any real dressing. Potatoes mushy and not baked or similar. Very disappointing the food. In terms of price, they were hoping for quality.

My Vitello Tonnato was very dry and tasted modest. The two pasta dishes didn't taste good and were unfortunately overpriced. The service was good. There are cheaper and apparently better Italian restaurants nearby. On Saturday there were many seats available and the other restaurants were full.

To be honest, I think it's great :D I've never watched it, but a restaurant that at least offers the possibility has nothing to hide. The service is quick and friendly. In terms of price, I would rate the food in the middle class. 16-19€ for pizza is not cheap. But it tastes good. Everyone has to decide for themselves. In the end you also pay for the ambience and the service, which is then accompanied by a tip. I'd love to go there. You can't do anything wrong.

We were looking forward to a pizza at La Piazza. Three tables were occupied by two people each, so there was a reasonable number of guests. I wanted a pizza with mushrooms, olives and hot peppers. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist. Just as I thought, I was offered a margarita that I could top up with. I quickly reached more than €20. Hmm, quite a bit of money for a pizza. So I chose a pizza for €17, some of the toppings of which I changed. We also had a calzone. The pizza maker had it ready quickly, which initially made us very happy. But they were just on the counter. The waitress didn't pay any attention and was chatting with other guests. As I said, there were only two other tables occupied. More than two minutes passed before the plates landed on us. The calzone was lukewarm and the pizza was completely wrong. I sent the pizza back...and got it back shortly after. There were holes in the cheese and the coating overall looked somewhat ridged. So the pizza master was using instruments or even fingers to pull the false toppings out from under the cheese. Sorry, but that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I returned the pizza with this note. The waitress offered me a salad to compensate. Sure, I thought, a small Italian salad wouldn't be bad. What I got exceeded my worst expectations. Until that evening, I thought salads like this didn't exist anywhere anymore. A tiny plate stood in front of me with a mountain of things slapped onto it so roughly and without any sense of nutrition, aesthetics or sensitivity. Stems of iceberg lettuce, canned corn kernels, slices of onion as thick as slices of bread, and a slice of cucumber that was multiple colors. Dear people, that's not possible!! The salad came with small, fresh rolls that tasted really good with the olive oil at the table. The calzone was also really great. Great size, great dough, tasty filling and a sauce in a bowl to melt away with. If it had come to the table in a timely manner, it would surely have been hot and close to perfection. My pizza came quite quickly. This time with the right topping and no craters in the cheese. The dough and topping were harmoniously coordinated, it was really excellent. In contrast to the rest of the food, the service and the salad were not convincing. But the food was so good that 3 points wouldn't reflect the quality of the food.

Five of us ate there and had something to drink. The waitresses didn't go overboard with friendliness. The lasagna was made with a lot of cheese and didn't suit my taste.

Haben hier Pizza 🍕 gegessen und ich muss sagen, das ich noch nie eine so leckere Kräuter/ Knoblauchpesto zu meiner Calzone gegessen habe. Aber auch die Pizzen selbst waren sehr lecker und sahen sehr ansprechend aus. Alles in allem ein gelungener Besuch mit Sitz auf dem Marktplatz ....schöne Atmosphäre 👍 Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Da ich Verden immer wieder toll finde und gerne auf einen Besuch dort bin, komme ich hier auf jeden Fall wieder zum Speisen. Hoffentlich ist dann auch die kleine zutrauliche Dohle wieder da 😃

Unser Lieblingsitaliener hatte Urlaub und eine Freundin empfahl mir und das Restaurant. Das Ambiente und der Service waren schon mal sehr angenehm. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Bruscetta welches einmal anders und sehr lecker war. Die Hauptspeisen (Pizza und selbstgemachte Nudeln) waren aus frischen Zutaten und sehr lecker abgeschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne und oft wieder! Vielen Dank.

Nach 2 Jahren waren wir mal wieder im La Piazza. Der Service höflich und zuvorkommend wie damals. Aber... ...Hat es in der Küche einen Wechsel gegeben? Die Pizza mit krossem Teig, aber wenig Geschmack. Gewürze? Eher Fehlanzeige. Schade. Das war schon besser.
